By Design, in selecttheaters and coming soon toVOD, shows a woman switchingbodies with a chair.Camille (Juliette Lewis) falls inlove with a chair at a studio, but itis sold before she can buy it.Through the magic of absurdmovies, Camille and the chairswitch places. In a recent interview, Lewis, 52,said she related to Camille'sstruggle. As the chair, Camilleexperiences desire she never feltas a person.\"Oh gosh, I related to that somuch,\" Lewis said. \"She lovesbeing coveted, seen in a way thatshe's not in her own life. It's reallyheartbreaking for her.\"Writer/director AmandaKramer, 44, confirmed she usedthe chair swap to show Camillelove. The chair's owner, Olivier(Mamoudou Athie), is soattached to the chair he brings itwith him to dinner parties, neverknowing it has a human femalesoul inside it.\"She does get to be looked at withlove,\" Kramer said. \"She does getto be looked at by someone whotruly is in love with her andmaybe she hasn't had that in herlife.\"This begs the question: what doesthe chair learn through all of this?Kramer suggested that the chairempathizes with Camille.\"The chair learns Camille'sgetting the short end of the stickin her life,\" Kramer said.In Camille's body, the chairremains inanimate. This requiredLewis to hold still, but she saidshe and Kramer choreographedthe still positions in which shewould lie.\"There was a really bigconnection to dance and creatingshapes that would be aesthetic, but also that would communicatethe progression of Camille'sjourney as the chair,\" Lewis said.\"I didn't want to have too muchbehavior because Camille in herown life is a little deadened orrestricted inside and out.\"As an actor, Lewis said, hernatural tendency is to portray heremotions demonstrably. Strippingthose away proved challenging.\"I had to resist the urge to emotemore than what we're trying to doin the story,\" Lewis said. \"That'sfunny because actors want togive. The restraint became theadventurousness of it.\"Kramer credited Lewis withunderstanding her vision for thechair performance.\"I didn't want to micromanage,\"Kramer said. \"I did very, verylittle overt directing. I justwatched.\"As Camille's body lies still, herfriends (Robin Tunney,Samantha Mathis) read into hersilence. However, she approachedthe film with the same sense ofimagination that initially spurredher career.\"A lot of my early - if you want tocall it development - is imaginingand imagining what things feellike and how to become them,\"Lewis said. \"It did include plants, animals, spaces, how to inhabitplaces and so it's a bigimagination game.\"Choosing the chair itself was acompetitive audition between 150to 200 chairs, Kramer said.Production designer GraceSurnow ultimately selected onethat facilitated moments betweenit and Lewis in the script.\"It's plain, it's wood, it's just like ahoneywood, its arms are curvedlike a woman's body,\" Kramersaid. \"We knew Juliette had todance with the chair, so wewanted something she could loopher limbs through.\"Lewis will be dancing againshortly after the release of ByDesign. www.hap2it.com February 19, 2026 HAPPENINGS Page 13The island of Hydra – less thantwo hours south of Athens by ferry– offers the ideal Greek islandexperience. But those who comehere with an agenda should bewarned ... this is the kind of placethat makes you want to buy abottle of ouzo and toss youritinerary into the sea.Hydra has one real town, no realroads, no cars, and not even anybikes. Water taxis whisk travelersfrom the quaint little harbor toisolated beaches and tavernas.Donkeys are the main way totransport things here. Thesesurefooted beasts of burden, ladenwith everything from bathtubs tobottled water, climb stepped lanes.Behind each mule-train toils ahuman pooper-scooper; I imaginepicking up after your beast isrequired. On Hydra, a traffic jam isthree donkeys and a fisherman.Hydra is hardly undiscovered. In1956, Sophia Loren came here toplay a Hydriot sponge diver in thefilm “Boy on a Dolphin,”propelling the little island onto theinternational stage. (A statuehonoring the film sits just outsideof town along the coastal path.) Bythe 1960s Hydra had become afavorite retreat for celebrities,well-heeled tourists, and artistsand writers who drew inspirationfrom the idyllic surroundings. The late Canadian songwriterLeonard Cohen lived on Hydra fora time – and was inspired tocompose his beloved song “Birdon the Wire” after observing justthat here. To honor the expat poet, the town has named the street infront of his house after him. Notthat street names mean much –locals ignore addresses, and fewlanes are labeled. Expect to getlost in Hydra...and enjoy it whenyou do.Today, visitors only have to countthe yachts to figure out thatHydra’s economy is still based onthe sea. Tourists wash ashore withthe many private and public boatsthat come and go, but few venturebeyond the harborfront. Locals, proud of the extravagant yachtsmoored for the night, like to tell ofmovie stars who make regularvisits.Little Hydra – which has producedmilitary heroes, influentialaristocrats, and political leaders –is packed with history. Rusted oldcannons are scattered about town, and black, pitted anchors decoratesquares. Hydra also has a fewsmall museums, including ahistorical museum and a wealthyshipping magnate’s mansion. But while its history is somewhatinteresting, the beauty of Hydra isin relaxing at a café and aimlesslywandering its back lanes. Once, Idecided to head uphill from myhotel, and my small detour becamea delightful little odyssey. While Ihad no intention of anything morethan a lazy stroll, one inviting laneafter another drew me up, up, up tothe top of the town. Here, shabbyhomes enjoyed grand views, tiredburros ambled along untethered, and island life trudged on,oblivious to tourism. As sunset nears, I head for therustic and picturesque village ofKaminia, which hides behind theheadland from Hydra, about a 15-minute walk along the coastalpath. Kaminia’s pocket-sizedharbor shelters the community’sfishing boats, and its taverna, perched on a bluff above, boastsmy favorite, irresistible dinnerviews on Hydra. Sitting on theporch with a glass of ouzo andsome munchies, I watch the sundip gently into the Saronic Gulf.At twilight, I walk back to townalong the lamplit coastal lane, under a ridge lined with derelictwindmills. Back in town, I settleon a ferry cleat the size of a stool, scanning the scene. Big flat-screenTVs flicker from every other yacht– the high rollers are back on theirboats. I observe the pleasantevening routine of strolling andsocializing. Dice clatter onbackgammon boards, entrepreneurial cats seem busy, children chase soccer balls, and atethered goat chews on somethinginedible in its low-profile corner. From the other end of town comesthe happy music of a christeningparty. Dancing women fill thebuilding, while their childrenmimic them in the street. Fartherdown, two elderly, black-cladwomen sit like tired dogs on thecurb.Succumbing to the lure of a pastryshop, I order some honey-soakedbaklava. I tell the baker I’mAmerican. “Oh,” he says, shakinghis head with sadness and pity.“You work too hard.”I answer, “Right. But not today.”By Rick StevesHydra has no real roads, no cars, and no bicycles — so things are transported by donkeys.Car-free and care-free on Hydratravel Health officials in thePhiladelphia area are warning of apossible measles exposure inTerminal E of the PhiladelphiaInternational Airport last week. The exposure time was 1:35 to4:30 p.m. EST, on Thursday, Feb12th, the Philadelphia Departmentof Public Health said in a notice. The person with measles wastraveling through Philadelphia, and the health department isencouraging those exposed tocheck their vaccination status andwatch for symptoms.Measles is a highly contagiousvirus that spreads through the airwhen infected people cough, sneeze or talk. Page 14 HAPPENINGS February 19, 2026 www.hap2it.comEPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, intheaters Friday, is a movie worthyof The King. Especially in IMAX,the concert documentary capturesthe magnitude of Elvis Presley'scharisma, performance and sense ofhumor. Director Baz Luhrmannassembled footage from Presley's1969 to 1977 Las Vegas residency, including 16mm footage from the1972 documentary Elvis on Tourand 8mm footage from Gracelandto provide context for the concert. All of the footage still looks like itwas captured in the '60s and '70s. Ithasn't been restored to aninauthentic state. However, the material that fills theentire IMAX screen makes thataesthetic towering. Even with frontrow seats, Presley never looked that big. But, much of the concert footage, particularly a performance where he's wearing the iconic white jumpsuit,is presented in the 2.35:1 widescreen aspect ratio. The sound actuallyimmerses more clearly than many concerts because it is calibrated for amovie theater.Though the narration is culled from Presley's own soundbites, there isn'tany earthshattering revelation. He explains how his shaking dance movesdeveloped alongside rhythm and blues music. He dodges questions aboutSun Records and his movie prospects in press conferences. Priscilla andbaby Lisa Marie only appear in one brief section, but he appears happyand loving in those moments. The rehearsals reveal the most about Presley's character. He interacts withthe band, makes performance decisions and cracks jokes. Presleyapproached performing with good humor. The set list includes all-time hits like \"That's All Right,\" \"Hound Dog,\"and \"Are You Lonesome Tonight,\" some of his gospel and more than oneBeatles cover. Presley performs \"Burning Love\" when it's new, andcoordinates with the band on how to conclude the live performance, which simply fades out on the record. For a performer as well documented as Presley, EPiC envelops viewers inhis energy. Even when there is overlap with other Presley material, EPiC'spresentation elevates it to new heights. By Fred TopelBest Sellers: Movies& TV, Blu-Ray & DVD 1. Fallout: Complete Second Season2. Page 28 HAPPENINGS February 19, 2026 www.hap2it.comEasy money working from home!Sounds too good to be true? That’sbecause it probably is. Especiallyif you’re offered a job reshippingpackages. The Reshipping ScamThe United States PostalInspection Service (USPIS)reports seeing a lot of peoplerecruited on social media to workat home as “fulfillmentspecialists” or other professionalsounding job titles shippingcommon items. Once they sign up,they get fraudulent postage labelsvia email or text to mail thepackages. These scams often involvemerchandise purchased withstolen credit cards and shippedusing counterfeit postage. Thinkabout it: What legitimate companyis going to send you items insomebody else’s name and askyou to reship them? Why wouldn’tthe company just do thatthemselves? If the postage labels come viaemail or text message from aforeign country, there is aparticularly good chance that theyare counterfeit.Don’t Get Stuck with Fake StampsAnother scam to avoid is supposed“discount” postage stamps. Asubstantial discount of up to 50percent off an order of UnitedStates Forever Stamps meansthey’re probably counterfeit. Toensure your trustedcommunication arrives at itsdestination without delay, thePostal Inspection Service wantsyou to be aware of—and avoid—phony postage. The number of counterfeit stampssold from online platforms hasescalated. Scammers peddle fakestamps on social mediamarketplaces, e-commerce sitesvia third party vendors, and otherwebsites. Counterfeit stamps areoften sold in bulk quantities at asignificant discount. That’s atelltale sign they’re fake.Purchasing stamps from a thirdparty wholesaler or onlinewebsites can be unpredictable. You have no way to verifywhether they are genuine. What You Can DoThe best way to avoid counterfeitpostage stamps is to buy stampsfrom USPS.com, at the PostOffice, or at an Approved PostalProvider.Approved vendors can includelegitimate “big box” or warehouseretailers who do provide verysmall discounts on postagestamps, but this is through resaleagreements with the PostalService. To ensure your postage labels arelegitimate, always purchasepostage labels through your ownaccount, or through an ApprovedPostal Provider. To report any suspicious texts oremails related to the U.S. PostalService or specifically aboutpackage delivery failure:• Forward the text or email touspis.gov/report• Delete the text or email• Call USPIS: 1-877-876-2455Make sure your postage islegitimate and always purchasefrom USPS or an authorizedretailer.Learn MoreFor further facts about scams andhow to avoid them, visitwww.uspis.gov.senior updateProtect yourself fromcounterfeit stamps and scamsSenior_9x.qxp_SENIOR KENOSHA 2/17/26 3:24 PM Page 28012926Senior DISCOUNT10% OFFPerm or ColorFEBRUARY SPECIAL021226

Byfocusing on healthy habits, strongsupport networks and proactivecare, you can significantlyimprove your quality of life, allowing you to age on your ownterms. As a physician, I often hearquestions from older adults aboutmaintaining their health andindependence. While individualneeds and preferences vary, Itypically suggest focusing onthree key pillars: preventing falls, managing prescriptionmedications and developing apersonal health management plan. There are simple actions you cantake as early as today to stayhealthy on your terms.Aging brings changes to musclestrength, bone density, balanceand reaction time. If not addressedproactively, these shifts can makeolder adults more susceptible tofalls. Falls are the primary causeof fatal and non-fatal injuriesamong older adults, yet many arepreventable. Simple preventative measures cansignificantly reduce your risk offalling and help you maintain yourindependence—here are a fewfocus areas to consider:• Home Safety: Modify yourliving environment by eliminatingtripping hazards, enhancinglighting and installing grab bars inbathrooms.• Physical Activity: Incorporatebalance and strength-trainingexercises, such as tai chi, yoga orwalking, to improve stability andcoordination.• Vision and Footwear: Ensureregular eye examinations andwear supportive, non-slipfootwear to prevent stumbles.• Medication Review: Consultwith a health care provider toidentify any medications that mayinduce dizziness or drowsiness, thereby increasing the risk of falls. Many older adults take moreprescription medications as theyage, which can be challenging tomanage. The Journal of theAmerican Medical Associationreported that more than four out of10 adults aged 65 or older takefive or more medications, oftenprescribed by multiple health careproviders. Effective medication managementgoes beyond simply filling andtaking prescriptions. It’s crucial toknow when and how to take them,as well as understanding why youneed them. Here aresome tips to consider. What will your financial picturelook like if you retire? Thinkabout any savings accounts, retirement savings accounts like401ks or pensions, and any nonemployment income you willhave, such as Social Security.Consider consulting with afinancial advisor or using anonline tool such as a pensioncalculator to get an idea of yourfinancial situation. If you needassistance accessing benefits fromemployer-sponsored retirementplans, contact the Upper MidwestPension Project at Trellis Pensionand Retirement Rights. Consider big expenses and howyou will pay for them. Health carecan be a huge expense, especiallyas we get older. Will you qualifyfor Medicare and/or Medicaid, orsome other form of subsidizedhealth insurance? Will you haveretiree health insurance offered toemployees by your employer? Ifyou plan to use the Marketplacefor private insurance, have youlooked at estimated costs forsomeone in your situation? Makesure to keep potential prescriptiondrugs in mind, as that can add tothe cost. What will your living situation belike in the near future? If you owna home, do you anticipate wantingor being able to continue livingthere for the foreseeable future?Think about what you would do ifyou were unable to continue livingin your current home, whether forhealth, financial, or other reasons. If you are renting, make sure youtake that expense into accountwhen estimating your monthlyretirement budget.Do you have others who havedepended on, or will depend on,support from you? It can be easyto forget about family members orfriends who ask for assistance, butgiving or lending someone moneycan quickly add up. You may needto consider setting boundarieswith loved ones if you pursueretirement and expect to havelower income. How will you stay busy inretirement? Hobbies and travel aregreat ways to fill time but can becostly. Consider building trips orexpenses related to hobbies intoyour budget so you aren’t caughtoff guard.Keep in mind that there arealternatives to retirement, if youdon’t feel ready to take that step. These can include working less orrequesting flexibility with yourscheduling and responsibilities toaccommodate health issues orother personal matters you’d liketo prioritize.senior updateConsiderations when deciding whether to retire• Know Your Medications:Understand why you take eachmedication, what it does and anypotential side effects to monitor.Maintain an up-to-date list of allyour medications, including dosesand reasons for taking them. But it still isa recurring feature on the weekly top sellingalbums on the Billboard chart. In an age of streaming and viral hits, 20thcentury music remains remarkably popular.Songs from the 1960s through the 1990scontinue to dominate radio formats, film soundtracks, commercials, andsocial media trends. Artists like The Beatles, Michael Jackson, andMadonna still attract millions of monthly streams, while bands such asLed Zeppelin and Alice in Chains are discovered by younger listenersevery year.Part of this enduring appeal lies incraftsmanship and cultural impact. Many 20thcentury recordings were built around strongmelodies, distinctive vocals, and analogproduction styles that feel warm and authentic.Nostalgia also plays a powerful role, as parentspass down favorite songs to their children, creating cross-generational connections.Platforms like TikTok frequently revive decades-old tracks, introducingthem to entirely new audiences. Far from fading, 20th century music hasbecome a foundation for today’s artists, continually sampled, covered, and celebrated worldwide. Until next week!021926February 19, 2026through February 25 , 2026ARIES (March 21-April 19): Today and Monday are below-zero days, but Tuesday puts you back into sunshine for more than a week. Postpone important actions, decisions, and meetings until then for much improved odds of the desired outcome.TAURUS (April 20-May 20): If it’s not mandatory for today or Monday, wait for the better Universal stars beginning Tuesday. You may want to make a greater impact on the world, listening to your inner voice can bring in a new approach.GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Lots of people clamoring for attention, choose whose vibe you follow with care, not every piece of advice is solid. Always uphold truth; self-respect comes from keeping integrity tight.CANCER (June 21-July 22): Working with budget or finances could feel like a needed focus now but Universal stars aren’t supporting good moves or even good decisions. Below-zero stars bring fog, not clear air.LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): A relationship could be a mixed bag today. There’s some cooperation, understanding, shared confidence and shared history. There could also be competition and a desire to believe in something unclear or shady.VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): If you’ve left it for today, do what you can. Today’s below-zero day score means things can be more of an uphill battle. Save your pickiest, most problematic tasks for days with strong, above-zero stars.LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): A creative block may have dissolved, some wishful thinking along with it. You may now Slow progress can still be made on below-zero days like today, some keys are lower expectations, taking things on in smaller bites, waiting to tackle intricate problems when the day score is above zero.SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Something about the domestic scene may not add up, some foundational piece of intel could be missing or skewed to create different optics. Stand up for truth, it’s the only place worth living.SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Clear your head of a thought/idea/belief that’s been debunked. Just like in a closet, clear out the old and outmoded for what can serve you best now. Click ‘recalc’ every time it’s warranted.CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Nope on financial decisions today: Nope on buy, nope on sell, nope on hold. When stars are below-zero, any move can backfire in unforeseen ways. Make game-changing decisions when above-zero stars support success.AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Today your focus could be on identity and appearance but it’s not a day to make changes. Put down the dye and scissors and back away slowly ... underwater stars bring bad choices, even with fun stuff.PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): An emphasis on privacy could be important, solitude can help you weather days when the universal vibe is low, like today. You could be shedding old skins, revealing a fresh new you.ACROSS1 Taj Mahal city5 Hors d’oeuvres spread9 Type of ski lift13 Greet the day15 Clever thought16 Cogito __ sum17 Low-slung jeans19 Semimonthly tide20 Hit the gas21 Term of endearment23 Mega Stuf cookie25 Helped out26 1993 film about the Olympic bobsled team from Jamaica32 “Just Mercy” actor __ Jackson Jr.33 __ leches cake34 Quiet “Quiet!”37 Landed on a perch38 “The Road Not Taken” poet Robert40 Clever tactic41 Brit’s washroom42 Get ready, for short43 Within the __ of possibility44 Magazine with tips and techniques for anglers47 “I feel the same”50 Some 30-Down employees: Abbr.51 Like some sandals54 Up for discussion59 N, on a French map60 New beginning, and a feature of 17-, 26-, and 44-Across62 Beige hue63 Mattress specification64 Dramatic ballroom dance65 Quaker’s “you”66 Sail the seven __67 AdolescentDOWN1 Spa sounds2 Subject of a basic golf lesson3 Like a fragrant melon4 Wimbledon winner Arthur5 “Peanuts” character in a cloud of dirt6 Suffix with lemon and Gator7 Maryland athlete, for short8 Reduce, as anxiety9 Sport for 4-Down10 Sourdough or rye11 Best competitive effort, informally12 Cordoned (off)14 Pulitzer-winning novelist Welty18 Hindu spiritual mentor22 Identifies on social media24 Pertinent to the discussion26 Mined fuel27 Norway home of the Munch Museum28 Cleveland’s state29 Allow30 Tax-collecting org.31 After expenses34 Bang shut35 “Hi, amiga!”36 Church choir song38 Cook in a wok39 NFL official40 Part of mph42 Parcel of land43 Fight against44 Dish with melted cheese or chocolate45 Muscle cramps, e.g.46 Owns, biblically47 Impressionist painter Claude48 Noteworthy time period49 Pied-à-__: secondary residence52 Trade-__: concessions53 Cleveland’s lake55 Sports page datum, for short56 Of sound mind57 Encourage58 School near Windsor Castle61 Noteworthy time periodhoroscopein the stars
