about the cover photo

with Samantha Vaughn
of Bird of Paradox Studios

Bird of Paradox Studios, located above The Lettering
Machine at 723 50th Street, was established in late 2018 by
a husband and wife team, Joshua and Samantha Vaughn,
Joshua as a tattoo aritst specializing in portrait work, and
Sam with her beautiful photography. Initially created as an
outlet for their talents, BoPS has since grown and aspires to
further expand their artistic avenues.

Being a private studio, it allows stronger focus on the
client and prevents major distractions from the artwork. The
studio befriends other establishments in the industry and
strays away from making art a competitive business. The
BoPS family continues to grow by bringing on artists and
supporters. Be sure to like Bird of Paradox Studios on
Facebook and contact them for your next tattoo or photogra-
phy needs, or visit birdofparadoxstudios.com

inscription on the cornerstone reads "For God and Country,

dances, and other events. By the early 1960’s, Polonia Hall was
demolished and Henry’s Drive-In, a national hamburger chain
based out of Chicago, opened in July 1963 at 5001 Seventh Ave.
