Page 4 HAPPENINGS January 26, 2023 www.hap2it.com Lauren Ambrose says viewers will see her busy and ambitious character, Dorothy, in a completely new light in the fourth and final season of the psychological thriller, Servant. Executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan and created by Tony Bagsgallop, the show follows wealthy Philadelphia couple Dorothy and Sean (Toby Kebbell,) who hire mysterious nanny Leanne (Nell Tiger Free) to care for a life-like doll Dorothy believes is their infant son Jericho. In reality, Jericho died in a horrific accident Dorothy's memory has repressed. When a real baby appears in their home, Dorothy doesn't seem to notice anything amiss while Sean, Dorothy's brother, Julian (Grint), and TV viewers try to figure out what is going on. Each season, Leanne gains more control over the family as a dangerous religious cult repeatedly tries to bring her back into its fold. Season 3 ended with Leanne catching Dorothy as she tries to sneak out of the house with Jericho in the middle of the night, causing her to suffer catastrophic injuries when she tumbles over the railing of the staircase. "I fell off the balcony through the banister down through the amazing staircase, which is basically a character of its own," Ambrose recapped for UPI in a recent Zoom interview. "It was quite a thing to film, of course. It required lots of exciting equipment, dropping me in harnesses. It was very cool. The stunt people did some amazing things for that." Season 4 picks up with Dorothy "at the beginning of a very slow and painful recovery process," the actress said. Leanne is eager to play nursemaid to her injured boss, which doesn't really make her feel much better. "So many awful things happen to this character, but to now take away the things she values the most as a control freak -- her ability to do and do for herself and now she is truly at the mercy of everyone else in the house -- is terrifying," Ambrose said of Dorothy. "We play into those wonderful horror themes we've seen in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? and Misery and Nurse Ratchett [from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest], and getting to do those scenes with Nell was great," she said. "Stripping away her ability to do for herself is what it takes for this perfectionist person to actually look at the truth of her life and what happened and face this grief. It is quite literally a healing process and the metaphor speaks for the whole house." In the final episodes of the series, Sean is seen trying to care for his fractured family while juggling his career as a celebrity chef. Strange as it may sound, Kebbell doesn't think Sean and Dorothy would have been better off had Leanne never come into their lives. "That's what ultimately pushes us to this final crisis point," the actor said of the creepy nanny's arrival. "We see in Season 4, we are answering so many of the questions that have been asked," he added. "I think had she not arrived, [Jericho's death] may never have been addressed or they would have just drifted apart. Funnily enough, Season 4 is where Sean and Dorothy get back together. They get close." Ambrose said teaming up with other artists to create something special is always an intense experience, but working on Servant was even more so because it was done largely during the coronavirus pandemic. "There were times when we were living and working together in a bubble to accomplish this show," she recalled. "There have been births and deaths, just a lot of big things, pandemic stuff, that brought us together and I'm just so grateful to these beautiful artists that I got to spend time with and grow as an actor. "It was such a tiny cast, and we really spent so much of our working days together on this one set, quite frequently on location, so we were really all cooped up in that house on that sound stage for all that time together and really found our way together." New episodes of Servant Season 4 premiere Friday nights on Apple TV+ By Karen Butler Lauren Ambrose: 'Servant' S4 shows a 'control freak' at everyone's mercy Born February 20, 1978 (age 44) New Haven, Connecticut Ambrose grew up in New Haven, the daughter of a caterer and an interior designer. During high school, she attended the ACES Educational Center for the Arts - a public arts magnet school. Ambrose began her career in New York theater, starring in the Off-Broadway play Soulful Scream of a Chosen Son in 1990. She landed small roles in TV’s “Law and Order” and the films “In and Out” (1997), “Can’t Hardly Wait” (1998), and got her first feature lead role in the now-cult film “Psycho Beach Party” (2000) In early 2001, she began her role as Claire, the youngest sibling of the Fisher family in the HBO series “Six Feet Under.” She would receive two supporting role Emmy nominations through the show’s five seasons. She has since returned to theater work, with starring roles in “Romeo and Juliet” (2007), “Hamlet” (2008), and “My Fair Lady” (2018). In her spare time, she is also the lead singer of Lauren Ambrose and the Leisure Class, a ragtime dixieland jazz band. Fans of the hit Showtime series “Yellowjackets” are excited to hear Ambrose has been cast in Season 2 of the show, which premiers in late March. Ambrose has been married to professional writer Sam Handel since 2001. They have two children. FYI Lauren Ambrose Lauren Ambrose stars in Season Four of the Apple TV original “Servant”

Page 6 HAPPENINGS January 26, 2023 www.hap2it.com The creators of Missing, now showing at local theaters, said the sequel to Searching benefits from the lessons learned in making the first film. Searching editors Will Merrick and Nick Johnson directed Missing. "Editing that movie, we got to see what we needed," Johnson told UPI in a recent Zoom interview. "That always was running in the back of our minds, as well, on set." In Missing, June (Storm Reid) uses all her technology and social media to try to find her mother (Nia Long), who never returned from a vacation in Colombia with her boyfriend. Like Searching, June's pursuit unfolds entirely on her computer screen. Merrick said one technique Searching already established was teaching actors how to appear that they are reading a computer screen. John Cho and Debra Messing perfected looking at a computer screen while a camera recorded them in Searching. Searching premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Sony Pictures bought the film and released it theatrically in August that year. Since Merrick and Johnson moved into the directors' chairs, they had to hire new editors. Austin Keeling and Ariel Zakowski edited Missing. "We sort of showed them the ropes of how we made the first one," Merrick said. While developing Searching, Johnson and Merrick studied other movies that took place on computer screens. They noticed films like Unfriended and Open Windows unfolded in real time over the course of the films' duration. The searches in Searching and Missing take longer than two hours. To jump ahead in time, Merrick and Johnson figured out how to shift the viewer's focus on the screen, and cut in video from different events during the search. "That was something we had to very organically develop through trial and error," Johnson said. "If you just take the normal language of cinema that has been developed over 100 years, and you just apply that to this format, you end up with something that's really theatrical, cinematic and immersive." Merrick said he felt Searching and Missing update a tradition of movies unfolding over analog technology. He cited Blow Out, in which a movie sound recordist (John Travolta) solves a mystery with clues he recorded. "It's full of scenes of him using film technology," Merrick said. "I was thinking if they made this movie today, it would all be on computer screens just organically, naturally." Searching co-writer Sev Ohanian, co-writer/director Aneesh Chaganty and producer Natalie Qasabian also returned to produce Missing. Qasabian said producing Missing three years after Searching added new technologies to the film's toolbelt. "We used to joke on Searching, 'I wish this app existed,'" Qasabian said. "It made our job easier because we got to just weave it all in." June records one scene as a potential Tik Tok video and uses TaskRabbit to hire someone (Joaquim de Almeida) in Cartagena to investigate her mother's last whereabouts. A Ring doorbell camera also features prominently in Missing. Ohanian said one scene used Zoom, the prolific video conferencing app that came to prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic. June and her friends held a viewing party for a true crime show. However, Chaganty said the scene was deleted because it made Missing feel like it was set during the pandemic. "We didn't want the movie to have that feeling," Chaganty said. "So we took Zoom out. Sorry, Zoom." The true crime show June and her friends watch does appear in Missing. Unfiction has an episode about the Margot Kim disappearance, the daughter for whom David Kim (Cho) was Searching. "We always knew that we wanted this movie to engage with true crime obsession," Johnson said. "But also give a nice knowing wink to fans of Searching, as well." June actually takes some advice from the episode of Unfiction, repeating some of the techniques David used to find Margot. In that way, Missing builds off of Searching, but allows June to learn from her predecessor. "That was our way to tie the universes together -- but also keeping it on theme and trying to say something about the internet and the types of stories that we're all consuming," Qasabian said. Missing also continues some of the Easter eggs from Searching. Fans who watched Searching repeatedly and paused the DVD or Blu-ray discovered a subplot during David's search. Connecting news tickers and background pages in Searching reveals the story of an alien invasion, which, of course, David is too distraught to notice. Missing features a subplot about The Green Angel, details of which the producers won't spoil until viewers discover it. "We have a massive document of Easter eggs that we've injected into the movie," Johnson said. "Anywhere you look, you're going to find something interesting, including the Green Angel." Ohanian hinted that the Green Angel subplot continues the secret subplot from Searching. So, the subplot is a sequel to Searching just as Missing itself is. "We obviously had to continue that storyline in Missing," Ohanian said. "We wanted to take it in a very unexpected direction." Chaganty said those Easter eggs highlight the illusion that everything occurs on screen with just a click. During production, each scene is meticulously constructed with live-action and animated parts. "Every frame is created with hours and hours and hours of work, creative thought and consideration," Chaganty said. "We're very glad that all that work is very visible to anyone who decides to pause this film." When Sony first announced a sequel to Searching, it was called the Untitled Searching Follow-up. Merrick said "Searching 2.0" was suggested until they hit upon Missing late in post-production. Missing conveyed the same tension as Searching. Ohanian said the title puts the pressure on them to find another word ending in "ing" for a third film. "That leaves us open to making the movie, which is, of course, going to be Finding," Ohanian said. "We're just kidding, but that's what everyone has been saying to us. Is the third one going to be Finding?" By Fred Topel June (Storm Reid) calls for help while searching for clues online in "Missing." 'Missing' filmmakers expand on 'Searching' technology, Easter eggs

www.hap2it.com January 26, 2023 HAPPENINGS Page 11 Company offers $1k to eat cheese before bed A mattress-reviewing website is seeking study participants willing to get paid $1,000 to eat cheese snacks before going to sleep. Sleep Junkie announced it is seeking five "dairy dreamers" for a study that seeks to address the commonly held belief that consuming cheese or other dairy products before bed leads to nightmares. "We also want to look at, if this is true, do different cheeses have more of an effect than others?" the company's post states. The five chosen dairy dreamers will be asked to track their sleep and provide written evaluations of their sleep quality, energy level throughout the day and reports on dreams and nightmares after consuming various cheese products before going to sleep. The study will last for three months. Applications are being accepted through Feb. 10. FCC proposes $504,000 fine for Fox TV over fake emergency alert A video promotion aired before a game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles on the Fox TV network in 2021 violated federal rules about mimicking an emergency alert, the FCC said in proposing a $504,000 fine. Prior to kickoff on Nov. 28, 2021, Fox Broadcasting Co. aired a video package that included the emergency alert system tone and mimicked an emergency broadcast. Sounding or simulating an EAS alert in the absence of an actual emergency is prohibited. Only federal, state and local emergency agencies are permitted to issue an EAS tone. The FCC enforces a strict EAS tone rule out of concern over what it calls "alert fatigue." Sounding an unauthorized EAS tone also may inadvertently activate emergency systems, be used to spread misinformation or "lock out" an actual emergency broadcast. The video in question opened with grainy video of Eagles players running onto the field with a text scroll and voiceover issuing a "warning" to the team's division rivals New York, Dallas and Washington. In the lower-third, the screen read "THIS IS A FOX EMERGENCY ALERT!" Storm Reid says she watches all of Shedeur Sanders' games Storm Reid says she watches all of boyfriend Shedeur Sanders' football games. The 19-year-old actress discussed how she and Sanders, 20, support each other during Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Reid plays Gia Bennett on the HBO series Euphoria, while Sanders plays college football for the Colorado Buffaloes, where his dad, retired NFL star Deion Sanders, now coaches. "They're doing an amazing thing," Reid said of Sanders and his dad. "Shedeur is playing ball and Mr. Dion is an incredible person, an incredible coach. Shedeur is just a really nice kid." The actress then confirmed she watches Sanders' games "whether I'm there or not." "I'm just glad to have him as a friend, as a confidant, to be able to support him and him support me," she said. Reid said she openly roots for Sanders when the Buffaloes come to play at USC. "I will be for sure in the student section or wherever I am rooting for the Buffaloes," she said. "Wearing the number and everything." Reid and Sanders made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Los Angeles premiere of Reid's film Missing over the weekend. Reid also has a role in the new HBO series The Last of Us. Health officials concerned about new antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea strain The Massachusetts Department Of Public Health said Friday it has detected two cases of a novel strain of gonorrhea resistant to antibiotics. It's the first time antibiotic resistant gonorrhea has been found. The CDC is investigating. Both cases in Massachusetts were successfully cured with ceftriaxone, the antibiotic currently recommended to treat gonorrhea. According to the CDC, surveillance data for 2021 shows 2.5M reported cases of gonorrhea, syphilis, congenital syphilis and chlamydia in the US. Fast melting of Greenland Ice Sheet will affect sea-levels New research published in the scientific journal Nature on Wednesday said that upper levels of the Greenland Ice Sheet from 2001 to 2011 faced the warmest temperatures in 1,000 years, threatening to tip sea levels. Because of the tremendous amount of water held in the ice there, experts say the Greenland Ice Sheet plays a critical role in the global climate system. Researchers with the Alfred Wegener Institute said global warming is having a pronounced impact in the remote higher elevations of central-north Greenland. The study's authors said the Arctic has shown regular warming since the 19th century with the emergence of air temperature values outside the natural pre-industrial variability since the early-mid 20th century. They said that has also negatively impacted the Greenland Ice Sheet. The ice sheet is projected to add up to 50 centimeters to the global mean sea-leave rise by 2100. The researchers said that Greenland melting has substantially increased since the 2000s and is now playing a major factor in sea-level rise. Researchers said that the global mean temperature has increased to 1.5 degrees Celsius above preindustrial levels in the second decade of the 21st century while the Arctic region had the most significant warming, particularly in the winter season. coast to coast Brooke Shields alleges she was raped in new documentary Actress Brooke Shields got a standing ovation at the Sundance Film Festival following the premiere of a new documentary in which she alleges she was raped by an unnamed Hollywood figure. In the film, Shields claims she was raped decades ago in her early 20s. The actress does not name her alleged attacker, but does give details about what she says happened after meeting the film industry figure for dinner on the pretense of finding work. "I thought it was a work meeting. I had met this person before, and he was always nice to me," Shields says in the film. "He said, 'Come back to the hotel and I'll call a cab.' And I go up to the hotel room, and he disappears for awhile. The door opens, the person comes out naked, and I've got the binoculars and I'm like, 'S....' And I put the binoculars down and he's right on me. Just like, was wrestling." "I just absolutely froze," she says in the film. "I thought one 'no' should've been enough, and I just thought, 'Stay alive and get out,' and I just shut it out. God knows I knew how to be disassociated from my body. I'd practiced that.... I went down in the elevator, and I got my own cab. I just cried all the way to my friend's apartment." The documentary details herrise as a child star in Hollywood, being labeled a sex symbol from a young age and walking away temporarily to attend Princeton. At the age of 11, she appeared nude in the1978 film Pretty Baby, the name of the documentary is a nod to that film. Brooke Shields Storm Reid

Page 12 HAPPENINGS January 26, 2023 www.hap2it.com The Zugspitze: Germany’s breathtaking rooftop One of my favorite places to be in Europe is atop the Zugspitze – the highest point in Germany. Standing on this 9,700-foot peak, you can’t help but marvel at the thought that you’re the highest person in the entire country – number one out of 82 million. From here, facing south, I feel like a maestro conducting a symphony of snowcapped peaks as the mighty Alps stretch seemingly forever to the right and left. The Zugspitze also marks the border between Germany and Austria. Before Europe united, you had to show your passport just to walk across this mountaintop. Lifts from both countries meet at the top. As if waging an epic battle of alpine engineering, just a few years after the Austrians built a cable car to their Zugspitze station, the Germans drilled through the mountain in 1931 so that a cogwheel train could deposit nature lovers on a glacier just below their side of the summit. Today, whether you ascend from the Austrian or German side, you can straddle the border between two great nations while enjoying an incredible view. Restaurants, shops, a small museum, and telescopes await you at the summit. There are two separate terraces – Bavarian and Tirolean – connected by a narrow walk which was the border station. Crossing used to be a big deal – you’d get your passport stamped at the little blue house and shift your currency from shillings to marks. While the border formalities are long gone, regional pride still shines here. You’ll notice no German or Austrian national banners but regional ones instead for “Freistaat Bayern” and “Land Tirol.” The views are equally breathtaking on either side of the border. On the German side, the Zugspitzplatt glacier stretches before you. Is it melting? For many summers, a vast reflector was spread out on the ice to try to slow the glacier’s shrinking due to global warming. From here, ski lifts fan out as if reaching for the ridge that defines the border between Germany and Austria. Below you in the snow stands the “Hochzeitskapelle” – wedding chapel – which was consecrated in 1981 by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger (a.k.a. the retired Pope Benedict XVI). The German side has the oldest building up here – the rustic, tinand-wood weather tower, erected by the Deutscher Wetterdienst (German weather service) in 1900. The first mountaineers’ hut was built in 1897 but didn’t last. The existing one – entwined with mighty cables that cinch it down – dates from 1914. In 1985, observers clocked 200-mph winds up here – those beefy cables were necessary. Also on the German side is a golden cross that marks the highest point in the country. A priest and his friends hauled it up in 1851, but the historic original was shot up by Americans soldiers who used it for target practice in the late 1940s. What you see today is a modern replacement. And, on this side, the highest dining available is at a sleek, modern restaurant that comes with lofty views. World War II left its mark on the summit as well. The Austrian side was higher until the Germans blew its top off during the war to make a flak tower that targeted Allied airplanes. Both Germany and Austria use this rocky pinnacle for communication purposes. The square box on the Tirolean Terrace provides data for Innsbruck airport’s air traffic control system. A tower nearby is for the Katastrophenfunk (civil defense network), harkening back to the stressful years of the Cold War. The Austrian station (which is much more visitor-friendly than the German one) has a fine little museum that tells the story of how the Zugspitze was first climbed in 1820. The museum also includes three interesting videos: a sixminute, 3-D mountain show; a 30- minute, making-of-the-lift show; and a 45-minute look at nature, sport, and culture of the region. Looking down the valley from the Tirolean Terrace, you can see the Austrian towns of Erwald and Lermoos in the distance and the valley that leads to my favorite overnight stop in the region, Reutte. In the summer, it’s easy to actually “summit” the Zugspitze as there are steps and handholds all the way to the golden cross. Or you can just feed the birds from the lounge chairs of “the highest beer garden in Germany.” The yellow-beak ravens – who get chummy with anyone who shares some pretzels – seem to enjoy the views here as much as the humans. While the Germans glory in the Zugspitze, their nation’s highest point, their neighbors are less impressed. There are many higher mountains in Austria. By Rick Steves travel A golden cross marks the top of the 9,700-foot Zugspitze – the highest point in Germany. The mountain straddles the border between Germany and Austria, and lifts from both countries whisk visitors to the top.

www.hap2it.com January 26, 2023 HAPPENINGS Page 13 The Scoop on Scoping The first randomized trial of colonoscopy screening is out and, well, it's a complicated picture. The data showed that inviting people to get a colonoscopy didn't reduce colon cancer deaths, but it did reduce cancer incidence by 18%. That's sort of disappointing news for advocates who believed screening would effectively render colon cancer extinct. Current guidelines recommend that adults 50 to 75 years of age get a colonoscopy every 10 years or more frequently, if indicated. Body of Knowledge The density (amount of mass contained in a volume of material) of human tooth enamel is 181 pounds per cubic foot. That compares to 128.6 for a cow femur and 78.7 for spider silk. Counts 4: Percentage both the number and rate of deaths by suicide rose in 2021 in the U.S. Source: CDC National Center for Health Statistics Stories for the Waiting Room Abraham Lincoln reportedly was prescribed mercury pills for a time to treat chronic melancholy or depression. They didn't help. A 2001 study, published in Perspectives in Biology and Medicine, reports Lincoln became even gloomier and morose, given to outbursts of anger or inappropriate laughter. His neurological symptoms, concluded researchers, were characteristic of mercury poisoning. Lincoln stopped taking the pills a few months after being inaugurated as president in 1861, going on to exhibit extraordinary maturity, calm and steadiness during one of the nation's most trying times. Food for Thought Room temperature coffee usually tastes terrible, for good reason. Some taste receptors on the tongue and in the mouth are most sensitive to food molecules at or just above room temperature. Hot coffee that is bitter can taste better because bitter-detecting taste buds aren't as sensitive when coffee is hot. Odors influence flavor as well. Bitter hot coffee may taste delicious because of its pleasant aroma while room temperature coffee just doesn't smell as appetizing. Best Medicine If you steal someone's heart, do you get cardiac arrested? Observation "I've lost six pounds on the way to the Super Bowl. Mind you, that's like throwing a deck chair off the Queen Mary." — Former NFL head coach Bill Parcells (1941-). Parcells coached 19 seasons with four teams and won two Super Bowl titles with the New York Giants. He was nicknamed "The Big Tuna." Medical History This week in 1998, American researchers announced they had cloned calves that might produce medicinal milk. James Robl and Steven Stice were the first to clone cows from fetal cells in which human genes were spliced into cattle DNA. Creating two identical, genetically engineered calves was considered a step toward mass production of human drugs in animals, with the idea being that cows could become drug factories producing milk that would contain human proteins important for treating human diseases. Such work continues but has not yet reached the point of human clinical trials or marketed therapeutics. Last Words "I want to go when I want to go. It is tasteless to prolong life artificially. I have done my share; it is time to go. I will do it elegantly." — German American physicist Albert Einstein (1879- 1955). These are close to Einstein's last words, but not his last. This was his reply when asked if he wanted to undergo surgery to repair a burst blood vessel near his heart. He declined, and died the next day at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. An attending nurse reported hearing him utter a few dying words, but they were in German, a language she did not speak. By Scott LaFee, Creators well news TAX PREPARATION STARTING AT $60! Page 14 HAPPENINGS January 26, 2023 www.hap2it.com Mel B says Spice Girls reunion will be announced 'very soon' In a guest appearance on the Sherri daytime talk show, Melanie "Mel B" Brown confirmed that a Spice Girls reunion is in the works. Brown said that the hitmaking English '90s girl group, which includes Melanie "Mel C" Chisholm, Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham, Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton, and Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell, have already met to map out a plan. "You know what ... us five actually did get together a couple months ago," Brown said. "All five of us. Because COVID hit everything kind of got put on the back burner. Everything was at a standstill. So, now we're talking about doing something together, and fingers crossed it will be announced very soon ...very, very soon!" But this is not the first time Brown has announced the group's reunion. She said the same in 2018 whenBeckham was said to be the holdout, so this news may or may have traction. But the group has come together before -- for a tour in 2007 and then for a one-off performance at the Summer Olympic Games in London in 2012. Panic! at the Disco was formed originally as a fourperson pop rock band in 2004. The band has been Urie's solo project for the past several years, with the singer joined by different musicians on tour. In his post, Urie said he is ending the project to focus on family as he prepares to welcome his first child with his wife, Sarah Urie. "Well, it's been a hell of a journey. ... Growing up in Vegas, I could've never imagined where this life would take me. So many places all over the world, and all the friends we've made along the way," the singer wrote. "But sometimes a journey must end for a new one to begin. We've been trying to keep it to ourselves, though some of you may have heard. Panic! at the Disco is known for such singles as "I Write Sins Not Tragedies," "Nine in the Afternoon," "The Ballad of Mona Lisa" and "High Hopes."The band releasedits seventh and now final album, Viva Las Vengeance, in August. In October, Netflix announced plans to change itspolicy on password sharingand said it would eventually start charging people to share accounts, but at the time it did not give a specific date for when the new policy would begin. "While our terms of use limit use of Netflix to a household, we recognize this is a change for members who share their account more broadly. So we've worked hard to build additional new features that improve the Netflix experience, including the ability for members to review which devices are using their account and to transfer a profile to a new account," the company said. In the letter, it detailed that account sharing, which it said is done in more than 100 million households, "undermines" its ability to invest and improve. In efforts to increase growth, the company also launched a lower-priced adsupported plan in November, stating that the move has driven "incremental membership growth." "We believe we have a clear path to reaccelerate our revenue growth: continuing to improve all aspects of Netflix, launching paid sharing and building our ads offering," Netflix said.

Hayden Panettiere makes return to horror franchise in 'Scream VI' trailer Everything is bigger, faster and more dangerous in New York City, a new trailer forScreen VI shows. It appears that the Scream VI trailer is introducing a much more lethal version of Ghostface now that the franchise series is set in the Big Apple. The trailer marks the return of actress Hayden Panettiere, who first appeared in Scream 4 in 2011. But Scream alum Neve Campbell who originated the role of Sidney Prescott and appeared in all five previous films, doesn't appear in the trailer and won't be in the movie, as she left the series after a pay dispute in 2022. And as fans of the franchise know -- spoiler alert -- Dewey, portrayed in the Scream films by David Arquettewill notreturn either as he was killed offinScream V. In the Scream VI trailer, Ghostface creates mayhem after chasing two young women into a convenience store as terrified patrons look on. A man who tries to engage is swiftly dispatched, as is another customer. And that's just the beginning, as the two women try to survive. Courteney Cox's Gale Weathers, also return, helping Ghostface survivors to adapt to the deadlier killer. But after visiting what looks like a shrine/museum to his previous iterations, Weathers is visited by Ghostface, and it doesn't appear the odds are in her favor. Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Jenna Ortega reprise their roles from the fifth film in the Scream universe released last year. Exaggerating the details or going overboard to be friendly can throw you off your stride. Double-check information before acting. TAURUS (April 20-May 20):Some people may admire your originality in the week ahead, but social activities could fall flat. Your unconventional attitudes, while sometimes misunderstood, are likely to be accepted by the people closest to you. GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Even the most ambitious workaholic needs a break. If your time or energy are scarce, you might need to rely on friends to come up with fun ideas in the upcoming week. Remember you can enjoy yourself without spending money. CANCER (June 21-July 22): Someone might be triggered by your eagerness to take the lead in group activities during the week ahead. Otherwise, your sympathy and thoughtfulness could break the ice on many social and business occasions. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Treat everyone with the same respect and consideration that you expect to be shown in return. You and a partner will be able to make smart business and financial decisions later in the week if you avoid voicing unhelpful criticisms. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Take advantage of the knowledge and innovative suggestions you receive from your supporters in the week ahead. Create practical strategies that will improve your future and make your dreams a reality. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): As the week unfolds, your business sense grows better and better, so plan accordingly. Generous and tolerant partners and loved ones could provide an opportunity for you to shine and the inspiration to be more ambitious. SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Deploy diplomacy on a daily basis. You may think you have the freedom to express unvarnished opinions in the coming week but you should avoid confrontations and criticisms. Steer clear of gossip at all times. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Spending more dollars to prove a point is pointless; let go of the opinions and judgments of others. Do enough soul-seeking to understand your own values and let them guide you. Don't over-spend late in the coming week. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Turn on the cruise control once you are sure you are on the right track. A key relationship might experience ups and downs in the upcoming week. I know people tend to focus on how volatile our relationship has been at times, but what has always mattered to David and me more than anything was the pure joy of the music we created together, the sound we discovered with one another, and the deep friendship we shared over all these many long years. David was fearless in life and in music. He leaves behind a tremendous void as far as sheer personality and talent in this world. He spoke his mind, his heart, and his passion through his beautiful music and leaves an incredible legacy. These are the things that matter most." Graham Nash wrote a touching memorial to his former musical collaborator David Crosby although the two have feuded in recent years. The two performed as part of the iconic folk band Crosby, Stills, and Nash. David Crosby passed away last week at age 81. "I like that! I really, really like that."
