Dear Happenings Readers,

Well looky, looky here, it’s a new issue of Happenings Magazine... IN PRINT! Since we last
printed on March19 much has happened to us and so many others here in our community.
Alternative publications from around the country have either suspended their print editions and
are strictly online, such as Milwaukee’s Shepherd Express, or have suspended both print and
online editions including the Chicago Tribune’s Red Eye and Madison’s Isthmus.
After 43 years of printing an issue every week we were forced to re-evaluate our situation. It’s
something, so many others in business were also forced to do. Going forward and until things
begin to resemble normal, we will move ahead with a combination of print editions some
weeks and online the remainder. Part of that evaluation included the decision to review the
publication itself. One decision was to move tv listings online, however in the process we have
expanded six fold the space for the weekly TV Best bets. Next week please look for
Happenings online at www.hap2it.com and the following week Your Smart Reader, again in
print. For our Illinois readers, once the COVID-19 crisis is behind us look for your localized
