The Brat Stop NW corner of HWY50 and I-94 • (262) 857-2011

Over 16 million brats have been sold to people from all walks of life
including the many musicians who have performed on the stage at the
Brat Stop. If you have enjoyed one of their signature bratwurst sand-
wiches, considered to be one of the best in the nation, you're not alone.
Actually, you have something in common with almost all of the high pro-
file performers who have made their way to the stage and didn't leave
without saying they had at least one bratwurst. Now in their 60th year,
hundreds of national acts have taken the main stage, including The
Chicks, REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, and Styx, as well as many other
famous people from all walks of life. Back in 1961, the Brat Stop first
opened their doors on the comparatively desolate intersection of I-94
and Hwy. 50, giving travelers a new choice as they traversed the road-
ways in search of their next meal. From humble beginnings, four gener-
ations of the Rassumssen family have worked hard to develop a business
which today has become a mecca for both locals and travelers from afar.
What began as an 8-stool bar and cheese shop 60 years ago has
become the unofficial "Welcome" and "See you next time" to I-94 trav-
elers from the state of Wisconsin.
