Page 4 HAPPENINGS May 18, 2023 www.hap2it.com Lilly Singh says Nora, the human talent scout she plays in Muppets Mayhem, sees magic in Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem that most of the music industry seems to have missed for the past 45 years. Now available on Disney+, the musical comedy focuses on the eccentric rock band -- which also includes Animal, Janice, Floyd, Lips and Zoot -- as they finally get their big break. "Nora has a very special connection to music in general. It has helped her in a lot of hard times in her life, especially when her parents weren't around and she was raising her sister. Times were really tough," Singh told UPI during a recent roundtable interview with reporters at New York Comic Con. "Her connection to the band is,'They've gotten me through a lot,'" the actress added. "She not only has an affinity towards them, but she wants to help them achieve greater heights, so that more people can have that experience." Tahj Mowry's character Moog is inspired by the infinitely upbeat musicians who are always authentically themselves. "He loves music. He is an audiophile. He knows his way around a mixing board and all that," Mowry said. "This band is his life and how they live their lives, he looks up to that -- their fearlessness, the fact that they are so different, but they are comfortable with the ways that they are different and they put that in their music and they put that message out there." Singh's favorite scenes to shoot were ones where she is in a car with the entire band, as well as the human puppeteers who brought them to life. "My mind melted," she laughed. "The car was really interesting and probably the most challenging to shoot in because you are in such a small space and it's not a real car. There's no bottom to the car. It's really me sitting on an apple box that has been fastened." It was such a ridiculous situation that writer-producers Adam F. Goldberg and Jeff Yorkes left their offices and came down to the set every time they heard the cast was cramming themselves into the car. One of the biggest challenges of making the show is how furniture is lifted four feet off the soundstage, so that the puppeteers can stand below the Muppets that they are manipulating. "It's pretty dangerous," Mowry said. "Everything is elevated. The dining table was, for sure, the craziest set because our chairs are literally bolted. You're not going anywhere, but the floor." Mowry and Singh feel honored to be part of such a beloved franchise and all the legacy zaniness that comes with that. "I grew up watching these [characters] and I'm in this now and it's also like, 'Oh, my God, I'm stepping in as this human counterpart to this iconic [brand].' I was like, 'Will the fans accept me?' It's a lot," Mowry said. Singh said she felt nervous at times because this was such a high-profile project. "Of course, it's very scary and huge pressure, but what I keep telling myself is that nothing else matters besides the fact that we had so much fun," she said. Mowry chimed in, "It's hard to have a bad day with the Muppets." Bill Barretta -- co-creator of the show and the voice of Dr. Teeth -- credits the enduring appeal of the Muppets to the legendary late puppeteer and filmmaker who introduced them to the world in the 1960s. "It's just Jim Henson and a tone that he's created that is passed on through the generations of Muppet performers, even though some of the originals have passed away, that feeling has passed through to characters that people can relate to," Barretta said. "That's why they continue to hang in there," he added. "There's always new generations who can identify with a Gonzo or a Kermit or a Piggy or an Animal. That's the magic of any great character, whether they are Muppets or human actors." Barretta started off working at Pennsylvania's Sesame Place theme park and worked his way up to puppeteer at the Jim Henson Workshop. He eventually starred as Earl Sinclair in Dinosaurs and took over as the voice of numerous Muppets characters -- including Pepe the King Prawn, the Swedish chef and Rowlf the Dog -- after Henson's death in 1990. "A lot of people focus on the voice and say, 'Does it sound enough like him?' And I know that's important, but I think it's about the energy and trying to understand the character," Barretta said. "I just try to find the essence of his characters and make sure the energy works. I think that's what people are drawn to - the energy and the spark of the characters." By Karen Butler Lilly Singh stars alongside Muppet rock band The Electric Mayhem in the new Disney+ series “Muppet Mayhem” Lilly Singh is determined to help Muppets reach great heights in 'Mayhem' Born September 26, 1988 (age 34) Toronto, Ontario, Canada In October 2010, Singh started a YouTube channel under the pseudonym "IISuperwomanII". Starting out, Singh had intended to go to graduate school as her parents had requested, but chose to make YouTube videos and decided that she would return to graduate school if her YouTube career did not progress. Her career did progress. Rapidly. In 2016, Forbes ranked her third of the world’s highest paid YouTubers, earning a reported $7.5M. As of February 2022, she has 14.7M subscribers and over three billion video views. Also in 2016, she crossed over to film, voicing the miniature unicorns Bubbles and Misty in the animated film “Ice Age: Collision Course” and had a cameo role in “Bad Moms.” In 2019, Singh became the first person of Indian descent to host a US talk show with NBC’s “A Little Late with Lilly Singh.” FYI Lilly Singh Members Dr. Teeth - keyboards, vocals Floyd Pepper - vocals, bass Janice - vocals, guitar Zoot - saxaphone Lips - trumpet Animal - drums The band made their debut on March 19, 1975 as the house band for the ABC variety program “The Muppet Show.” Trumpet player Lips wouldn’t join the band until the fifth season of the show. Although the band has released dozens of songs over their nearly 50- year existence, it wouldn’t be until this year when they would release their first full-length album. The self-titled album was released earlier this month to rave reviews. FYI The Electric Mayhem

Page 6 HAPPENINGS May 18, 2023 www.hap2it.com Imagine you and your favorite travel partner dangling in your own private little gondola, gliding silently for 40 minutes as you cross the Mer de Glace (“sea of ice”). You just left the last stop in France. On your right is the pillowy summit of Mont Blanc – Western Europe’s tallest mountain. On your left are jagged rocks called “dents” (teeth) – each famous among the world’s best rock climbers. And, ahead of you, the next stop is Italy. You’re near where Switzerland, Italy, and France come together to high-five the sky. Miles (literally) above Chamonix, you’re riding one of Europe’s highest lifts. Your Alpine adventure starts in the touristy French resort town of Chamonix. From there, Europe’s ultimate mountain lift, the Aiguille du Midi, zips you by cable car to the dizzy 12,602-foot-high tip of a rock needle. The modern gondola is big enough for dozens of people. With its scratched-up interior, you can imagine it filled with stylish European skiers. But today, it’s full of families – moms rubbing sunblock on cherubic cheeks, kids toting pint-sized rucksacks, and ruddy seniors laced into their ancient boots, gripping trusty walking sticks. Chamonix shrinks as trees fly by, soon replaced by whizzing rocks, ice, and snow, until you reach the top. Up there, even sunshine is cold. The air is thin. People are giddy. Fun things can happen on top if you’re not too winded to join locals in the halfway-to-heaven tango. From the Aiguille du Midi station, the highlight of the ascent is riding the elevator to the summit. From the platform, the Alps spread out before you. In the distance is the bent little Matterhorn (called “Cervin” in French). You can almost reach out and pat the head of Mont Blanc, at 15,780 feet, the Alps’ (and Western Europe’s) highest point. If you’re riding back down to Chamonix, the most efficient way to incorporate a high-country adventure is to descend the lift only to the halfway point (Plan de l’Aiguille). From there, you’re free to frolic in the glaciers and hike to Mer de Glace. From there you can catch a train at Montenvers back to your starting point. But for the ultimate Alpine joyride, grab a private gondola at Aiguille du Midi and continue on to Italy for what must be Europe’s most breathtaking border crossing. In the tiny red gondola, you venture south. Open the window. Explore every corner of your view. You’re sailing a new sea. Cross into Italy at Helbronner Point (11,000 feet) and descend on another lift into the remote Italian Valle d’Aosta. It’s a whole different world – where a dash of France and a splash of Switzerland blend with the already rich Italian flavor and evocative castles to give you an easy-to-like first taste of Italy. The town of Aosta, your best valley home base, is a one-hour bus ride from the base of the lift in Pontal d’Entrèves (hourly departures, change in Courmayeur). “The Rome of the North,” as Aosta is called, has many Roman ruins and offers a great introduction to the fine points of Italian life: cappuccino, gelato, and an obligatory evening stroll. An evening here is a fine way to ease into la dolce vita. If you don’t go on to Italy, you can return from Helbronner Point back to Chamonix. The resort town, a convenient train ride from Paris or Nice, is packed in July and August, and during the ski season, but it’s plenty peaceful the rest of the year. Like Switzerland’s Interlaken, Chamonix is a launchpad for mountain worshippers. The town has an efficient tourist information center and plenty of affordable accommodations. From Chamonix, there are days of hikes and cable-car rides. My favorite hike, opposite the staggering Aiguille du Midi, is a three-hour traverse between two lift stations – Planpraz and La Flégère – on the Grand Balcon Sud. If you have the time to do both this hike, which starts with a ride up the Le Brévent gondola, and the Aiguille du Midi lift, the Multipass lift ticket saves time and money. While the resort of Chamonix is a delight, the real thrills are when you venture high above the valley floor into that high-altitude world of pristine lakes, great Mont Blanc range views, and hang gliders lunging off the cliff from their favorite springboards. Watching these daredevils fill the valley like spaced-out butterflies is a thrilling spectator sport. If you like the Alps, you’ll love Chamonix, where hikers and nonhikers alike can enjoy the best of the Alps with a French accent. By Rick Steves Early boarding, free alcohol part of JetBlue's expanded rewards program JetBlue launched a new loyalty program that offers customers and members new opportunities to earn perks. The new program, called TrueBlue, allows from some customers to have a choice of early boarding, priority security screening, an alcoholic drink on board, or bonus frequent flyer points, every time a customer earns 10 so-called tiles. "JetBlue is continuing our legacy of disrupting travel for the better with unique, customer-first programs such as the new TrueBlue," Christopher Buckner, vice president of loyalty and partnerships at JetBlue, said in a statement. "The new TrueBlue redefines what it means to be a loyalty program by offering new and exciting perks to more customers, as well as providing more ways to attain perks and status." JetBlue customers earn tiles for every $100 they spend. The airline company also is breaking up its Mosaic status into four levels. The new program also will work with travel site Paisly, allowing customers to earn rewards when they book travel services through the website. "We're excited that our travel sites Paisly.com and JetBlue Vacations are fully integrated into the new TrueBlue so that members can rack up rewards along their journey-when booking flights and beyond," Andres Barry, president, JetBlue Travel Products, said in a statement. "Moving forward, when a customer books a car rental or activity on Paisly, or a flight + cruise or hotel package with JetBlue Vacations, they will earn TrueBlue points towards their next trip and earn tiles to get them closer to one of their next Perks You Pick." www.hap2it.com May 18, 2023 HAPPENINGS Page 11 It's Hard To Be a Teen Girl These Days New data suggests teen girls in American are being swept up in a wave of sadness and trauma, reports STAT, citing CDC data. They are experiencing record levels of violence, sadness and thoughts of suicide, almost double the rate for teen boys. Nearly 3 in 5 teen girls said they felt persistently sad or hopeless in 2021, STAT reported — a 60% increase compared to a decade earlier. Nearly 1 in 5 female students reported experiencing sexual violence, up 20% since 2017. About 30% had seriously considered attempting suicide, up nearly 60% from 2011. Nearly 70% of LGBTQ+ students reported feeling persistently sad or hopeless in the past year. More than 1 in 5 had attempted suicide in the past year. Med School Q: Sports drinks such as Gatorade and Powerade are chockfull of electrolytes, which are believed to require replenishing after strenuous activity (or, though this is less seemly, a bout of gastrointestinal distress). What exactly is an electrolyte and why do we need to maintain a steady supply? A: Electrolytes is a catchall term for substances that assist in various biological and metabolic processes, such as chemical reactions and fluid balance. They get the name because of their positive or negative electrical charge when dissolved in water. Those charges contract muscles and control hydration levels. Sodium, magnesium, potassium, calcium, chloride, phosphate and bicarbonate are all considered electrolytes. Too much or too little of any of them can result in adverse effects, such as weakness, muscle cramps or confusion. Heavy activity that produces a lot of sweating can result in loss of electrolytes, though the effects of depletion usually occur an hour or more after the activity. A sports drink might be suitable if you've been sweating heavily for a prolonged period of time, but they also often come packed with unnecessary sugar. Water almost always is the better option. Page 12 HAPPENINGS May 18, 2023 www.hap2it.com Gasoline prices staying lower for longer Retail gasoline prices in the U.S. economy are at a standstill with the national average unchanged from week-ago levels, but still above the government's forecast for the year, data show. Travel club AAA put the national average retail price at $3.53 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline for Monday, unchanged from that time last week. Data over the coming weeks should reveal the extent of any surge in travel demand due to Mother's Day. The price that consumers pay for gasoline is largely a reflection of crude oil prices, which have remained stable over the last week. EIA is expecting a full-year average of $3.33 per gallon, though prices would move higher assuming demand holds up during the summer holiday travel season, which ends in September. 2 men who used weighted fish in tournament catch light jail sentences Two men caught cheating during September's Lake Erie Walleye Trail tournament have been sentenced to short jail sentences. Jacob Runyan, 43, and Chase Cominsky, 36, were each sentenced to 10 days in jail followed by a year of probation. The pair had won a series of fishing tournaments in the lead-up to the discovery of their deception. During the fishing contest at Gordon Park in Cleveland, Runyan and Cominsky were caught using lead weights to deceive judges into thinking they had caught heavier fish. Tournament director Jason Fischer noticed that the pair's fish weighed more than expected for their size, so he checked inside the fish and discovered lead weights. As onlookers recorded video that soon hit social media, Fischer pulled the weights out of the fish and said, "We got weights in fish." The pair pleaded guilty to one count of cheating and one count of unlawful ownership of wild animals. Both men were ordered to pay $2,500 in fines and consented to having their fishing licenses suspended for up to three years. Out of 19 contests organized by Fischer, Runyan and Cominsky won nine. Heather Armstrong, popular mommy blogger of Dooce.com, dies at 47 Heather Armstrong, who launched one of the first mommy blogs, Dooce.com, and became a bestselling author, has died at age 47. Armstrong's death was reported in an Instagram post on her account. "Heather B. Armstrong aka dooce aka love of my life. July 19, 1975 -- May 9, 2023. 'It takes an ocean not to break.' Hold your loved ones close and love everyone else," the post, written by her boyfriend Pete Ashdown, reads. Armstrong -- who lived in Salt Lake City -- died by suicide, according to Ashdown. "Heather B. Hamilton (Armstrong) was a brilliant, funny, compassionate writer who struggled with mentalhealth and alcoholism. She saved many lives through her authorship on depression, but in the end could not save herself," Ashdown told ABC News in a statement. "Heather believed that ending her life was wrong, but in the end, her judgment was clouded by alcohol," Ashdown added. "She was loved and will be deeply missed." Armstrong founded one of the first mommy blogs in the early days of the Internet and was known as the "Queen of Mommy Bloggers" for her posts on the ups and downs of motherhood. No joke: Man wins lotto on losing tickets A 43-year-old man from Detroit, won $100,000 in a random drawing based on entries from non-winning tickets for a $6 million jackpot on the Michigan Lottery. "When I learned there was a second chance component to the game, I figured I might as well give it a try," said the player. "I got an email from the lottery one day informing me that I'd won a $100,000 prize in the second chance drawing and I thought it was a joke." Instead of a joke, he may be laughing all the way to the bank. Marijuana use during pregnancy may affect fetal development As recreational marijuana use rises, some dispensaries are recommending it as a remedy for morning sickness, but new research warns that using it during pregnancy may significantly affect fetal growth. While fetal exposure to cannabis in early pregnancy can reduce birth weight, those effects can become more severe if use continues throughout the pregnancy. "We show that even when marijuana use occurred only in the first trimester of pregnancy, birth weight was significantly reduced, by more than 150 grams (5.3 ounces) on average," said senior study author Dr. Beth Bailey, a professor and director of population health research. "If that use continued into the second trimester, newborn head circumference was significantly decreased as well." The study found that occasional use of cannabis, as for first-trimester morning sickness, may reduce fetal growth in the same way as continued use throughout pregnancy. This was also true for using cannabis before a woman was aware of the pregnancy. coast to coast Likely meteorite crashes through New Jersey home The week started with a bang for a homeowner in New Jersey after a likely meteorite blasted a hole through a house on a recent early Monday afternoon. A metallic rock fell out of the sky and hit a house in Hopewell Township, N.J., located approximately 10 miles north of Trenton. Police responded to the incident and confirmed that the oblong-shaped rock damaged the building. No one was injured during the incident. An investigation is underway to identify the rock and to determine if it is indeed from space. Scientists will closely examine the rock, which appears to have a charred exterior and measures approximately 4 inches by 6 inches. Smaller space rocks typically burn up and disintegrate when entering Earth's atmosphere, but larger rocks can make it to the surface of the planet. Space rocks that reach the surface of the Earth are called meteorites. Contrary to popular belief, many meteorites that hit the ground are not hot enough to start a fire. Meteors like the one that fell in New Jersey may be warm when they hit the Earth, but probably reach the ground at only slightly above ambient temperature. Although it's extremely rare for a meteorite to hit a house, there have been incidents in the past. In Oct. 3, 2021, a softball-sized meteorite crashed through a house in Canada, landing in a bed just inches away from a woman. On Oct. 9, 1992, a 26-pound space rock hit a car parked in a driveway in Peekskill, just north of New York City. The vehicle became world famous and was on display in several museums. To hear more meteorite facts, tune in to Happenings Q&A on Thu. May 25th at 12:30 when geology/astronomy expert and recurring guest Paul Sipiera joins the show. Heather Armstrong

Page 14 HAPPENINGS May 18, 2023 www.hap2it.com The stars and creators of Freevee's Casa Grande say their bilingual drama about wealthy Northern California farm owners and the Latino immigrants who work for them is an entertaining story that also explores family dynamics and class division. All five episodes of the limited series -- which has notes of the contemporary western Yellowstone mixed with the tragic love story Romeo & Juliet -- are streaming. "Our job as actors is to tell stories that are a reflection of the society we live in. This is our society. Our society looks like this group, sounds like this group, but has so many diverse stories that do not belong to just one group," actress Loren Escandon, who plays Ximena Morales, said in a recent Zoom interview. "The things that we are tackling in this show are global issues because they are human stories and human stories don't belong to anybody." Her co-star, Daniel Edward Mora, who plays Rafael Morales, added: "These are real people. You don't have to act. You just have to be." One of the elements Mora loved about Casa Grande was the relationship between Rafael and his employer, Sawyer Clarkman, played by John Pyper-Ferguson. "Despite the differences in socio-economic strata, Pyper's character and myself were, many times, allowed to relate just as men. There were moments of compassion and understanding. They were subtle, but they were there," Mora said. "I loved that our positions and our bank accounts had no bearing on us understanding each other." Christina Moore plays wealthy Susanna Clarkman, Sawyer's wife and the matriarch of what she describes as a "very twisty family." "In this particular project, more money, less happy," she said. "It's an actual reverse." The actress looked for ways to relate to her selfish and manipulative character. "We're all motivated by something. I, personally, think that Susanna is just misunderstood, although her behavior is quite questionable" she said with a laugh. The show was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and most of the actors were happy to be working and around other people in a remote location with gorgeous views. "You couldn't have kept me away from this job," Moore said. "It was well-written and beautiful and all of those things. [But]. I just also wanted to leave the house." Javier Bolaños plays Mael Morales, whom he calls "the Romeo in this forbidden, crazy love story." "When I read the scripts, just seeing all the scenes with my [TV] family were so close to my real life," Bolanos said. "The way we talk, all of the conversations we have, it was very similar. It was good to finally be in a story where it is like, 'Oh, Latinos finally being shown just as a really strong family unit.' "And the same with Christina -- it was the middle of COVID, and it was so exciting to get to go and play with all of these actors." Madison Lawlor plays Hassie, Susanna's daughter and Mael's girlfriend. "She saw the world through rose-colored glasses because she was extremely privileged, and never really had to face these challenges that even people she loved were facing," she said, referring to Mael's family who treat her like one of their own. "We're really catching her at this period of time where she is understanding so much hidden truth behind her own family and recognizing she is different than those people she considered family," Lawlor added. "She's embracing the subject of her born family and her chosen family and maybe not being OK with the people who raised her." Karen Bethzabe's favorite aspect about her character Natalia Cortez is that she is not portrayed as a victim. "She was somebody who, probably, bad things happened to her and she left her country and she came to the United Stats, but she did not have the victim mentality," Bethzabe said. "That was so refreshing to me. Sometimes immigrants are presented as victims -- these poor people suffering. The reality is we all navigate problems and dysfunctions and hardships, but at its core, these people who come to this country have great courage." Kate Mansi plays Hassie's adopted sister Hunter. "This is a multi-dimensional, character-driven story about endurance -- what these migrant workers will endure for a chance at the American dream, what each member of the [Clarkson] family does internally, externally to feel seen, and how lonely and invisible we feel in moving around in that dynamic," she said. Hunter tries to make a seat for herself at the table and contribute to the way that her family runs its business. "It's an empowering story about not letting anybody limit you or put you in a box and being relentless and fighting for what you want and your goals, " Mansi said. So The Weeknd changes social media accounts to his birth name The Weeknd has said that he wants to go back to using his "real" name, the one he was born with. The 33-year-old Canadian native has changed his name back to Abel Makkonnen Tesfaye on his social media accounts. The name reflects his Ethiopian heritage. The Starboy singer says that he now want to "kill" the Weeknd. "I'm going through a cathartic path right now," he told W Magazinefor a cover story earlier this month. "It's getting to a place and a time where I'm getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter. I'll still make music, maybe as Abel, maybe as The Weeknd. But I still want to kill The Weeknd. And I will. Eventually. I'm definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn." The change was most notable on Twitter, where Abel Tesfaye replaces The Weeknd as his user name. On Instagram, he's still The Weeknd, though his birth name is just below it. On Facebook, he has not adjusted anything. Yet. This comes after the Guinness Book of World Records officially confirmed him as the most popular artist in the world. Guinness says the only other solo artist to receive the distinction of being the world's most popular artist is Michael Jackson. Thank you to the incredible @jonbellion for helping us bring this body of work to life. We're so proud of these songs and hope you love it as much as we do. THE ALBUM is yours now!" the groupwrote. Rachel Platten returns with single, music video Rachel Platten is back with new music. The 41-year-old singer-songwriter released a single and music video for the song "Girls." The "Girls" video shows Platten sing and perform on piano as sunlight shines in through a window. "My first song in 3 years is out now! Please go stream it, share it and let me know what it made you feel!! I love you all," shewroteon Instagram. "Girls" is expected to appear on Platten's forthcoming album. Platten is best known for the 2015 single "Fight Song." Lil Durk releases video, but delays album Amid a simmering feud with rapper NBA Youngboy, Lil Durk has delayed the release of his latest album Almost Healed. But he did release the video for "All My Life," his hit collaboration with J. Cole. Durk and Cole appear in the video together in front of the house he grew up inin Chicago, surrounded by dancing kids who sing along with the chorus. The video and album are more uplifting than some of Durk's previous work as part of Chicago's often hyperviolent drill music scene. "I decided I had to finish, but the media called me a menace," The 30-year-old Chicago native announced the delay of his album on Instagram. It was initially expected to come out Friday. It is now coming out on May 26. Kylie Minogue's new album coming this fall Kylie Minogue is back. The Australian singer announced a new album,Tensionwill be released on Sept. 22. This will be Minogue's first album in three years, following 2020's Disco. She released some artwork and a tease of the first single "Padam Padam." Her label, BMG, described the11- track album as "euphoric, empowered dance floor bangers and sultry pop cuts" and "unabashed pleasure-seeking, seize-the-moment, joyful pop tunes." Minogue worked on Tension with frequent collaborators Richard "Biff" Stannard and contributor Duck Blackwell who produced and cowrote seven tracks. She said she spent a year and a half with a mobile studio "by her side," and that working with them remotely at some points helped tremendously when they weren't able to be together due to COVID. "I started this album with an open mind and a blank page," Minogue said in a release. "Unlike my last two albums there wasn't a 'theme', it was about finding the heart or the fun or the fantasy of that moment and always trying to service the song. I wanted to celebrate each song's individuality and to dive into that freedom. I would say it's a blend of personal reflection, club abandon and melancholic high." music news FLASHBACK - THIS WEEK IN 1997 Hot 100 (pop singles) 1. Hypnotize/The Notorious BIG 2. MMMBop/Hanson 3. Page 28 HAPPENINGS May 18, 2023 www.hap2it.com May 18, 2023 through May 24, 2023 ARIES (March 21-April 19) One way to make solidarity tangible may be to get everyone to pool their efforts now. You might get the most accomplished when paired up with a friend or working within a cooperative framework. TAURUS (April 20-May 20): It’s a great big universe, and anything is possible. Aim high whenever you may be tempted to make major changes or want to experiment with something new. The sky’s the limit when your timing is carefully chosen. GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Make your own rules but try not to break someone else’s. A poorly chosen word or comment can land you in the doghouse. Luckily, forgiveness may be easier than usual to find. A sincere apology should put things right quickly. CANCER (June 21-July 22): The more you share with a loved one, the closer you could become. You may feel mentally agile and eager to investigate someone’s powerful ideas or interests. You might find opportunities in the least likely places. LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Spread your enthusiasm generously and widely and other people could be eager to join your team. It may be challenging to remain patient when someone hesitates or gets to the point more slowly than you do but give them grace anyway. VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Romantic and friendly relationships can be highly satisfying unless you view them as simply transactional. If you are engrossed in a project or business interest, be mindful that you don’t leave loved ones out in the cold for too long. LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Peace and tranquility could be your most prized possessions. You and a partner might not always agree completely, but you can respect each other’s opinion. A sympathetic bystander might help you mend some fences. SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Applaud someone’s good intentions. There may be opportunities for compromise that solve all your on-the-job problems. Make key decisions today or tomorrow while you have a firm grasp on potential long-range results. SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): You may have made lofty plans to live a purpose-driven life. Your money is there for a reason and can be put to effective use. Focus on making your home a safe and secure place and ignore minor disputes.. CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Once smitten by the love bug, you may not be able to rest until you have your way. You could be eager to shower someone with treats. It may be as easy to dispose of outworn customs and ideas as worn-out clothes. AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Daily expenses might get you down, but your long-term plans for financial security may be right on track. I got the message loud and clear that the world wants to move on with a different theme when it comes toThe Terminator. Someone has to come up with a great idea. The first three movies were great. Number four [Salvation] I was not in because I was governor. Then five [Genisys] and six [Dark Fate] didn’t close the deal as far as I’m concerned. We knew that ahead of time because they were just not well written.” In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Arnold Schwarzenegger gives his honest thoughts on The Terminator franchise, in which he starred as a mechanical T-800 robot starting in 1984. Via Instagram, Kelly Clarkson issues a statement responding to allegations of a toxic work climate behind the scenes of her eponymous talk show. “It's two, three paragraphs that are about me as a filmmaker when I was 22 years old. And I've made good on any sort of promise that was teased in those three paragraphs, I think, as a filmmaker. And yet it's been completely ignored by the media. They would rather talk about me, you know, walking off with some Playmate in the night or how much I drank. I thought that it was wildly unsophisticated. To come up with that and sort of label us the way he did.” In a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment, what 80’s icon gave his honest thoughts about the 1985 New York magazine cover story by David Blum which coined the moniker “Brat Pack”?
