COVID-19– What’s New

While New Brunswick has entered the green
phase of recovery, we know that COVID-19 is
still in our communities. This is why we will continue
to have some protective health measures in place to help limit its
spread.

This year school buses will be able to transport students at normal
capacity and they will be disinfected daily. Students are encour-
aged to sit in the same seats and with the same students as much
as possible. Students must wash or sanitize their hands before leav-
ing home in the morning. Bus drivers will continue to use barrier
curtains installed on buses last year.

All individuals on a bus will be required to wear a mask, except
for the bus driver when driving or if the curtains are deployed.

it’s okay to cross.

Why you must cross 3 meters
in front of the bus?

When you are 3 meters in front of
the bus the driver can see you and
signal you to cross. At less than 3
meters, you’re in the danger zone:
there’s a chance the bus driver
won’t see you.
