Johnny Mathis was recently on the Treasure Coast performing at
the Sunrise Theater. During rehearsal his Starkey Hearing Aids
died and Mr. Mathis was left without proper hearing. His office in
Hollywood contacted Mutter’s Hearing Center; Joe Mutter went to
the Sunrise and met Mr. Mathis to help him with his hearing aids.
The show was only 3 hours away when Joe arrived. Joe took Mr. Mathis’s aids back to his office where he expertly repaired and adjusted
them to get Johnny through the show. After the show Mr. Mathis relayed a few concerns about his hearing and Joe offered to meet him
at his office the next morning. The next morning, after a thorough test and evaluation Joe adjusted Johnny’s aids to correct issues he was
having while singing. Mr. Mathis was thrilled, so much so he had his office send Joe his other hearing aids so he could program them
exactly as he did the ones he wore while here in Florida.
“I had Johnny Mathis singing “Chances Are” in my office to test the adjustments I made to make him hear better on stage, who would of
ever thought that?” It was my true honor to help not just a living legend but a wonderful human being!!
If you or a loved one need help with your hearing, do what Johnny Mathis did and contact Joe Mutter,

South possessed a key piece of information: that East had only one club. So, declarer won
with dummy’s club ace, drew trumps ending on the board, cashed the diamond ace, ruffed a

East took the trick, but on his spade or diamond return, South ruffed in his hand and sluffed
dummy’s remaining club to gain the slam bonus.
