of embracing a single grape too warmly.
What if it backfired and Argentina gath-
ered a reputation as a one-trick pony ca-
pable only of producing a red wine for
which there was little demand?

Antonini was happy to back malbec,
though. “We [Altos Las Hormigas],” he
says, “were the very first to focus exclu-
sively on malbec.” From my perspec-

Real Estate Sales on the Barrier Island: Nov. 15 to Nov. 21

The barrier island real estate market turned in a solid showing with 9 transactions reported last week,
including one for more than $1 million.

The top sale of the week was of a home on a picturesque canopy street in Riomar. The residence at 971
Painted Bunting Lane was placed on the market Sept. 20 with an asking price of $1.295 million. The sale
closed on Nov. 15 for $1.4 million.

The seller of the property was represented by Bob Faller of Berkshire Hathaway Florida. The purchaser was
represented by Cindy O’Dare of Premier Estate Properties.
