SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAMS
WORLD-CLASS SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR AS&E DETECTION SYSTEMS
TO SUPPORT OUR CUSTOMERS AND THEIR NEEDS, AS&E OFFERS MULTI-LEVEL SERVICE TRAINING PROGRAMS
THAT PROVIDE HANDS-ON MAINTENANCE TRAINING TO SELECT END USERS.
AS&E SERVICE TRAINING LEVELS
AS&E offers a variety of service training options that are packaged and tailored to allow end users to perform basic and intermediate preventive and
corrective maintenance on AS&E equipment. Proactive preventive and corrective maintenance is the cornerstone of any maintenance program.
Ensuring technicians are properly trained and have a solid understanding of maintenance fundamentals can lead to enhanced system reliability and
reduced cost.
Operator-Level Maintenance*
Operator-level maintenance entails system-level pre-checks performed by trained system operators and includes only those items that can be checked
or inspected visually, or tested by activation (key switches). Operator-level maintenance does not require the use of tools, meters, or test equipment
nor does it require the operator to perform corrective maintenance, but does allow for minor maintenance (camera or monitor cleaning, bulb replacement,
fluid replenishment, etc.). Items outside the scope of minor maintenance found during routine inspections should be reported to an Intermediate or
Factory maintenance technician. Operator-level maintenance items include, but are not limited to, the following:
Visual inspection of fluids for proper level: — Check proper seal of generator curtain Identifying, recording, and clearing anomalies
— Fuel, oils, coolants, and DEF if applicable — Clean the generator compartment and air from the subsystem status screening:
Visual inspections: intake filter — Interlock errors or ASEI GUI generated fault
— Fluid leaks, tire conditions, scratches, messages
System safety checks:

within the scope of adding fluids, effecting minor repairs (light bulbs, replacing or re-torqueing misc. hardware, re-torqueing of hose fittings, belts, and
miscellaneous fittings, cleaning of A/C condensers), and visual troubleshooting. Intermediate maintenance technician duties do not entail rights to the

Albania
In an effort to enhance their capacity to interdict smuggling and
undeclared materials the Government of Albania chose S2 Global to
provide a turnkey cargo and vehicle security screening program. The
Government was interested in improving security while simultaneously
increasing the speed, predictability and transparency of customs
clearances. As part of the program S2 Global scans inbound, outbound
and transit containers/cargo vehicles and has the capacity to scan 100
percent of containers passing through the sites.
With multiple land and sea border screening facilities, the program is
modernizing to combine information into an interconnected customs
clearance process. By implementing these updated processes the quality
of customs declarations is dramatically improving allowing for better
trade flow and revenue generation.
Locally, the S2 Global program employs over 75 highly trained technical
staff. Trade companies have seen a consistency of customs clearance
times, reduced border crossing issues and a faster time to market for their
goods.
