Alternative Lyme disease
treatment
According to the U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),
more than 16,000 cases of Lyme disease occur each year in the United
States. Although most prevalent in the Northeast, Mid Atlantic, and
North Central regions of the country, all states have reported cases. The
majority of Lyme cases reported in the Southeast were acquired while
visiting other regions of the country. Treatment with traditional
antibiotics is not always effective, especially with those who have been
undiagnosed for a long period of time. There are alternative treatments
available that are not damaging to the body, and actually eradicate the
spirochete and restore and rebuild the body's organs, glands, and tissue
after the illness is cleared.
Lyme disease was first identified in 1975 in the towns of Lyme and Old
Lyme, Connecticut. The spirochete Borrelia Burgdorferi, a bacterium
thought to cause Lyme disease, is transmitted via tick bites. Although
deer ticks have been reported to be the main carriers, it should be known
that any tick can carry the disease. A 'bull's eye' rash often appears a few
weeks after the bite, but not always. Standard serology testing
procedures for Lyme include the Western Blot and ELISA that test for
antibodies present in the blood. Whole or partial ticks may be tested as
well, so it's important to save the tick if possible.
Traditional antibiotics include Doxycyline for adults, Amoxicillin for
children and Erythromycin for pregnant women. One of the issues with
antibiotic treatment is that they weaken the immune system by killing
off all the beneficial bacteria in the gut, causing damage to the lining of
the intestines. Another issue is that the Borrelia Burgdorferi bacteria it
does not respond well to antibiotic treatment due to its ability to
transform very quickly into three distinct forms: Spirochete, Cell Wall
Deficient (CWD), and Cyst in an attempt to adapt and survive when
faced with a threat to its existence. Each form causes specific damage to
the soft tissue, joints and immune system. Antibiotic treatment is
virtually useless when the bacterium is in the Cyst or CWD form and
often causes more damage to the body's immune function with no real
benefits. Traditional treatments often drive the very mobile and active
spirochetes deeper into the soft tissue of the body temporarily, only for
them to emerge at a later date once the threat has passed.
It is important to note that not everyone who is bitten with a Lyme
infected tick will actually develop the disease. Those who are run down
or nutritionally deficient, or have used a lot of antibiotics, acid reducers,
and other drugs do not have immune systems that can fight the
infection. Another reason to eat nutritionally dense foods and avoid
pharmaceutical drugs!!
There are alternative therapies that have proven to be very promising.
Plant source Betaine HCL (trimethylglycine form) has been used to treat
malaria, herpes, cancer, cysts and bone spurs, as well as to slow the
aging process by restoring cell methylation at the DNA level.
Therapeutic doses of HCL are used for a period of 21 to 30 days to
effectively strip the spirochete of its protective membrane and dissolve
cysts and cell wall deficient forms of the bacterium, leading to their
complete systemic demise.
Therapeutic doses of Betaine HCL are typically 'high'; up to 35 grams (75
capsules) per day. However, the normal amount of HCL the stomach of a
healthy 150 pound person should produce on its own is 30 grams per
meal (equal to about 60 capsules). As a society, we are severely HCL
deficient, which leads to digestive problems, chronic pain, low immunity,
infections, nutrient deficiencies, toxic liver, Alzheimer's, cancer,
osteoporosis, and many other chronic and debilitating illnesses.
A period of time must be taken prior to starting the HCL therapy to
prepare the body for detoxification. The pH must be between 6.4 and 7.0,
and the digestive system, kidneys and liver must be working efficiently.
Taking in lots of nutrient dense foods, staying hydrated with pure water
(1/2 your weight in ounces per day), and the elimination of sugar, wheat,
processed foods, alcohol, and caffeine are important for success of any
detox program.
Cation mud packs must be used prior to beginning the protocol to clear
any IF's (Interference Fields) that are sedating the stomach. Common
IF's that sedate stomach function includes: trauma to head/forehead,
clavicle, C-section, body piercings, or any other scar or trauma on the
mid-line of the body. The bite area is often treated with mud packs as
well.
Once the 21 - 30 days is completed, the effort to repair damage to the soft
tissues, joints, and kidneys begins. This process may take several
months depending on how long the Lyme illness has been present. When
the process is completed properly, full remission from Lyme disease is the
result. Patients report that memory and brain function returns to
normal, pain and fatigue disappears, eye pain and light sensitivity
clears, and nerves heal. Co-infections are also removed and the body is
restored to normal function.
Specific testing is done at each organ site to determine the exact amount
of HCL and other support nutrients that are needed for each person to
successfully complete all phases of the program. Finding the exact
therapeutic dose is very important, and no step of the process should be
overlooked.
This alternative Lyme disease therapy from IGeneX is not only effective
but also healthy and nourishing to the entire body. Although clearing the
bacterium in all its forms is important, it is the effort to repair the severe
damage that they cause to the soft tissue that is a key to completely
restoring health

carrying on to his research program to make a stable conclusion on Lyme
disease treatment.
