It’s around 2.5 times lighter than concrete or clay. Compared to clay and concrete products, it has an improved insulation value and thermal mass, meaning that it will store thermal energy more efficiently, air-conditioning costs and the environmental knock-on effects. 6- FILLER SLAB Reduces the cost of the slab by around 25-30% Creates interesting designs patterns. SKY WALKS We have created a recreational space for feeding birds. The entrance is inspired by the sorounding cultural dwellings. The main space potrays a message of freedom. We live in a life where every person might had a feeling of being trapped or stuck. Freedom is the state of not being imprisoned, and the right to act or speak as you want without any oppression. When we put a bird in a cage, we take away it’s freedom because birds are meant to fly as high as they want. Similarly by enslaving a person for almost their entire life and taking away all of their rights and opportunities is like taking away their life. Seating space is also provided with beautiful landscape. Just like flying birds, a wing is a common symbolism for freedom because it represents being able to leave and literally take flight when things go awry. It is also the part of the bird’s body that allows them to fly. Therefore, if something happens to a bird’s wing, it surely loses its freedom. The phrase to clip one’s wings means to lose or restrain one’s freedom and indepenPIGEON FEEDING AREA Modern art, today, is what we hear a lot, see a lot. It is that which has been produced during the early period 17s and 18s. The world is a creative world. It is the response to rationalist practices and perspectives of the new lives and ideas provided by the technological advances of the industrial age that caused contemporary society to manifest itself in new ways compared to the past. We see the old art to be “fading”. But is it really? We get to see many modern arts which are extracted from the old art. Art is a form which is evergreen in every perspective. The portal of awareness designed on the streets of urban is one significant element that binds both “old” and “modern” arts. The Portal of Awareness designed on the urban streets involves the techniques and use of old and modern art. The pots, the old art : pottery, has been hung on the stainless steel, the use in modern art, using mechanical techniques. We see, pottery to be losing and people opt for machinery equipments for strength, durability and beauty. The materials of modern arts, no doubt, are high in demand due to its properties, but are so old arts’ too. This creation tells us that old art is revival and can still boom, be it alone or with modern art PORTAL OF AWARENESS Sculpture of common man problems this sculpture depicts the problems faced by common man. no one in this world has a problem free life. the world itself is made up of minor and major problems. similarly, a common man faces multiple problems in their day to day life. some minor which they try to tackle quickly but some major which takes long period of time to solve and sometimes a life time. man lives with these problems as daily worries and sometimes surpasses these problems to move forward and higher. some problems commonly faced by man are- unemployment, debt, poverty, discrimination, inequality, health issues, lack of transport facilities etc. The watch tower is an amalgamation of the heritage and modern architecture representing the city of Hyderabad. The view from the tower gives the warm and welcoming nature and hospitality of the city. Hyderabad a city of distinctive culture arose from a combination of local and migrated artisans a part of which is depicted in the design. The hexagonal column used is inspired by the columns in mecca masjid. The spiral staircase inspired by the modern day architecture but its origins date back to roman architecture . The bastions are from the Mughal architecture used in many heritage buildings in Hyderabad such as mecca masjid, Golconda fort, mouzam jahi market. The dome is taken from the Islamic and Mughal architecture. WATCH TOWER The water pond in the shape of the wave gives the sense calmness just like waves of water. The dance culture of Telangana is depicted in the lime stone sculptures. The landscape element is in a basic form of the kalamkari art mixed with two elements of vastu shastra – water & soil with landscape . landscape the maze here is not only presented as an element of landscape but also depicts the use of jalis in the culture of hyderabad. it depicts the ups and downs faced by man and how they get through them in the given time. some people feel encouraged to do better in life while some give up as a maze is similar to the chaotic situations of life where you feel there is no way out but the hope within you helps you to move forward and achieve greater in life. The cultural skywalk depicts the traditional and cultural form of the city Hyderabad. The wooden rings represent the pride and joy of Hyderabad. The Lad Bazaar, as we all know, is famous for bangles. It is located near Charminar. The bangles are an essential part of a women’s beauty. The modern skywalk depicts the use of the skywalk with the materials mainly of glass and steel. This creates a 360 degree view of the busy and joyous view of buddha statues. The skywalk functions as for both a beautiful of the area and also to ease the access by the people. SYM-032
