JOURNEY TO THE CANDY LAND

JOURNEY TO THE CANDY LAND

The Journey to the Candy Island

As told by the legendary captain of the Princess May – Captain Jeremiah Belly

Anyone who knows Jamie Lee Cook, knows one thing

for sure: There is no place in the entire universe he loves
more than the secret Candy Island.

Every year, he waits for the skies to turn grey and the
northern snow – smelling wind to blow at the sails of the
Princess May. Then, he wraps himself snuggly in his gold –
buttoned admiral’s coat and turns the ship towards the
North Pole, right in the direction of mouth – watering
Candy Island…

As the star –filled journey begins, Captain Jeremiah Belly
takes out a felt sac tied with real anchor ropes from which
he pulls out a large photo album. The captain then orders
the Princess May’s sea dragon to blow his hot fire into the
sails and rush the ship ahead. Only then, does he begin to
slowly turn the album’s pages, as he starts to tell the
wonderful tale of The Journey to Candy Island.

Now, close your eyes, dive deep under your soft, warm
winter blanket and listen to this truly magical winter tale.

Two strange professors lived on

Candy Island. The first was named
Professor Donald Yummy, or as
everyone called him, Professor DY.
Professor DY invented all of the candy
you know and even some you have
never even heard of.

For example, do you know gummy
bears? Well, they were invented by
Professor DY, of course. But, then
there’s also that firecracker gum that
flies up into the sky and blows up into
thousands of different tasting colorful
candies. And then there
is…well…there are so many, we can’t
even begin to remember them all…
The second professor was named
Professor Can. He made all of the
magical colorful boxes you have surely

seen and some that you can’t even
begin to imagine. For instance, he
once made a tin–box freight train
that blows cocoa smoke and has a

real ticket collector who hands out
candy along the train’s cars. Have
you ever seen such a box?

But, the professors haven’t made

regular candy for a long time. They
were given a more important job to
do: to prepare the biggest, sweetest
and tastiest candy for Santa Claus
every Christmas! A very Special and
Superb Christmas Candy that would
be the best present ever! This great
gift would be delivered by Santa in
the biggest and most beautiful box
you could ever dream of...

At the beginning of each year, the
two chosen professors meet up in
their Amazing Inventions Library.
They each go through all of their
ancient books and search for the best
idea for Santa’s new candy invention.
One year, they invented a space
candy that flies on an exploding
sugar–cane engine. And once, they
made a huge mountain, just like in
Switzerland, made entirely out of
whipped, white–snow ice cream.

As soon as they think of an idea for
a new candy, they immediately begin
building molds, preparing mixtures,
blending colors, rolling ribbons and
creating the magical candy.

But…not one year…

One of the professors, nobody really knows
which one, thought of a really great idea for
the year’s candy: a dinosaur made to look
exactly like the last dinosaur that ever lived
on earth. He took out his books, read stories
and drew sketches that proved one thing:
there still is one last dinosaur living on earth.
The new candy would have to be created to
look just like him! What an idea! But…. the
other professor was not so happy with the
idea. In fact, he was totally against it.

The two began the biggest fight ever. Their
shouting was so loud that it could even be
heard as far as the other pole….

"That is a ridiculous idea!", he cried.
"There is not even one dinosaur left. Not even
one! And there will be no such candy built to

look like him. No way!"

Time went by. Nothing was prepared. Molds
were not built and mixtures were not mixed.
Only more and more shouting could be heard.

One morning, Jamie saw a White Almond Marzipan

Seagull standing on the ship’s pole. He was holding a
large candy in his beak. Lifting his head, the seagull
dropped a colorful lollipop with the following message
written across it.

Jamie knew of the legend. A dinosaur was known to
be hiding somewhere in the pole. It was the last dinosaur
left. But, nobody really knew if the legend was true or
not. Straight away, maps and books were opened on
the deck of the Princess May. Everyone began looking
for clues and information about the dinosaur. According
to the legend, three gates blocked the way to the
dinosaur’s hiding place. Three mysterious gates that
had never been passed before!

The mission was clear. The Princess May’s group set
out on their journey.

The First Gate:

Double M Challenges the Muscular Polar Bear. The Bowling Game of Marshmallow Pins

According to the rolled parchment map, the

first gate was located inside the White Wilderness.
To open the gate, they would have to beat the
Muscular Polar Bear at a game of bowling. The
Muscular Polar Bear was the largest bear in the
world and could shatter an entire ice mountain
with a single strike of his paw. The only one in
the group who could beat him was Double M,
the strongest man in the universe. Now, Double
M stood before a never ending row of
marshmallow bowling pins. The bear stood before
his own endless row. Each of them had only one
try at throwing the huge white chocolate truffle
ball covered in sugary snow. The bear was first.
He rolled the ball so quickly that it could barely
be seen. Dozens of pink marshmallow pins
dropped. Only two remained standing. It was the
bear’s best roll ever.

Now, it was Double M’s turn. They were

sure that he would use his Powerful Pushing
Arm. But instead, he held the truffle ball in
his Spinning Arm and rolled the ball ever so
gently. For a moment, the group was
shocked… But, soon enough, his special
spinning motion succeeded in knocking down
all of the pins. Not even one was left standing.
The bowling lock quickly dropped and the
gate opened before them. The group quickly
moved forward towards the second gate!

The Invisible Land of Sparkling Sugar Icebergs looked completely

empty. Actually, it was full of life, only it was covered with sparkly
sugar tree forests. The shiny whiteness of the trees made everything
seem invisible. Finding the second gate would be a real problem.
According to the maps, it was supposed to be located in the Sugar
Cube Igloo, deep in the heart of the forest. The gate was actually
a hole in the ice guarded by the Cookie Man. There was no doubt
that the only one who could find the Cookie Man gate in the
Invisible Land was Veggie, the man with the world’s sharpest senses.
In such an invisible world, only someone with a highly developed
sense of smell like Veggie’s could find the hidden hole guarded by
the Cookie Man.

The group tied themselves to each other with

a rope, as Veggie carefully led them through the
Invisible Land of the Sparkling Sugar Icebergs.

After a long and tiring journey, they finally found
the igloo. Jamie used his triple-power sword to
open the igloo's door. He cut out a hole in the
ice, right around the Cookie Man's body. The
Cookie Man then fell inside the hole and the
second gate opened up. One by one, they jumped
into the icy water. Marmie Doll, the excellent
swimmer, headed the group. She drew the path
through the underwater icebergs for them on a
diver's notepad, using waterproof ink. They
arrived safely at the third gate!

The third gate was located in the never ending

land of darkness, deep inside the pole. This land
was ruled by the King of Penguins, who was a
champion two–colored chocolate backgammon
player. To open the third gate, he would have to
be beaten at his own game…

It was completely dark. Jamie led the group along
the path towards the castle. He drew the way leading
to the king’s castle for them on special notepads,
using glow–in–the–dark ink.

They immediately loaded the ice cube onto the
deck of the Princess May. At the touch of a
button, the wind slides inside the ship’s belly
opened up, blowing them speedily in the direction
of Candy Island!

The mystery was solved and finally brought an
end to the loud argument between the professors.
They quickly took the dinosaur’s measurements,
built molds and made mixtures. Just in the nick
of time, the new Special and Superb Christmas
Candy was placed under the Christmas tree. It
was a real dinosaur candy with a strawberry candy
tongue, golden caramel scales, blue candy eyes
and a really long gummy tail. And it was Santa’s
best gift ever.

As he did every year, Santa left right on time for his annual The last dinosaur was also the last candy the two strange

gift giving journey. professors created. You see, their argument could be heard
throughout the entire universe and the secret Candy

and superb ending. They read all of the books, looked at the pictures and
brought the secrets of candy making to the entire universe.
Now you kids know that any candy ever made was actually
once one of Santa’s, made just like on Candy Island.
