The research focusses on mathematics education with two primary
QUALIFICATION purposes. This first purpose is to better understand the nature of
mathematical thinking of engineering technology and engineering
PhD (Mathematics Education), students and effective teaching and learning methods for these
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia groups of students. The second purpose is to apply such information

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia mathematics were applied in the past two decades in improving
Bachelor of Mathematics, the teaching and learning including the paradigm shift from

principle by applying problem solving activities.
