Hi Chiros, I trust that you are all well during these
times! As I look back I can’t believe that I have
been a Chiropractic student or doctor for almost
21 years! Where has the time gone!!! I am married
and have a 17 month old son who we adopted
almost 3 months ago and who has brought a
huge amount of joy to my wife and I. We live in
Morningside Durban and are very happy in South
Africa! :) My wife and I both had Covid in Nov/
Dec 2020 but only mildly.

I started studying Chiro in 2001 and after a third
year hiccup and a meander through my research,
finally qualified in 2010-– not quite what I had
expected but many thanks to Dr Korporaal for her input. During that period
I taught High School science and did a few other jobs which actually
greatly enriched my life - definitely not lost time!

On qualifying, I took up a practice opportunity in Malvern (Queensburgh)
where my practice developed and in which I have been working for the
last 11 years. I also tried building a couple of secondary practices in other
areas but they never worked out. As of last year I took over Hardus de
Beer’s great practice in Ballito. I am working between Ballito and Malvern
and I also go up to Paul Pietersburg monthly to treat patients there. As of
late I have been really enjoying doing further studying and have been
working on completing my FICS ICSC course and have been furthering
my paediatric studies.

My goal over the next 5 years is to become the best Chiro that I can be
through furthering my studying and making every effort to give my patients
the best care that I can.
