55 players. 55 years. 18 past and present JSBL Staff members have voted on the "55 Greatest Players". To qualify for the team, players were required to play at least 2 full seasons at the JSBL. The metrics each voter were instructed to consider included JSBL Championships, JSBL Awards, JSBL Statistics, Longevity, Individual Talent, Teamwork, Name Recognition, Cultural Significance and Integrity/Character. It was ultimately up to each individual voter to determine the importance of each metric and select the 55 players that they felt had the largest impact in the league's 55 year history. Voters were instructed to consider all eras of the league's history from 1968 through present day. Over 300 total players were nominated on the ballot before the final vote down to 55. Only 6 players were voted on unanimously by the entire JSBL Staff.`
