This story was about a boy whose name was James. He lived with his family on the farm.
There were many different kinds of animals on the farm including chickens, ducks, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses.
James always got up early to count the animals on the farm.
On the first morning, James got up and went outside to count the horses. On the first morning, he counted a total of five horses. “One, two, three, four, and five ”
On the second morning, James went out to count cows. On the second morning, he went out to counted a total of six cows. “One, two, three, four, five, and six
On the third day, James' father woke him up, and he hurried outside to count the pigs. On the third morning, he counted a total of eight pigs. “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and eight
On the fourth day, James went out and counted sheep. On the fourth morning, he counted ten sheep. “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, and ten
On the fifth day, he got up very late and he rushed out to count the goats. On the fifth morning, he counted a total of twelve goats. “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, and twelve
On the sixth day, the rooster woke him up and he went out to count chickens. On the sixth morning, he counted a total of fifteen chickens. “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven,twelve, thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen,
On the last morning of the week, James' friends came to see him at the farm. He invited them to go out and count ducks with him. On the last morning, he counted a total of eighteen ducks. “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven,twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, and eighteen”
He then took his friends to see the animals he had counted throughout the week.
James is a boy who loves counting animals on his farm. The book has various animals for children to have fun reading.
