FOREWARD

A very good friend dictated this little script, which I
typed back in about 1987.  At the time we gave the script
to anyone who asked for it.
I acknowledge that the author of this script is called
Barbara.  Over time, she developed into a crystal healer
with unique abilities to clairvoyantly see the chakra
centers inside the body.  She would start her healing
work by visualizing / bringing in the ‘Light ‘into her
Crown Chakra. The ‘Light’ would go through her head
and into her right hand, in which she held a large quartz
crystal.
Barbara would internally watch as the Light made its own
way into the chakras of the person receiving healing. She
would call it "dynarodding", (after a system of clearing
out drains with rods!) as the process was clearing out,
cleansing, energizing and healing the energies.

FOREWARD

She recognized that she was just a channel, a conduit,
for the Light to come through. She knew that she did not
personally direct the Light to do anything; she merely
internally watched the process and then reported to me
or recorded what she had seen later.

By keeping a record of what had happened in each
crystal healing, Barbara was then able to consciously
remember.

Such subtle energy work can often float away from the
memory just like a butterfly or a fading dream.  You need
to catch it quickly before the knowledge dissipates
consciously.

Although Barbara and I have since lost contact, I feel
sure she would be happy to have this little script given
out to those who wish to read it and benefit from it.  

Everything you read below is exactly as dictated to me
by Barbara, with the exception of headings that have
been added for readability.

Barbara, if you ever see this, I send you my love and
thanks.

I believe this little script is a "little gem"  - pun intended!

INTRODUCTION

Silicon crystals play a tremendous part in our lives.  Modern
technology is based on silicon chips, everywhere you look:
computers, watches, calculators, cars, washing machines,
cameras, telecommunications, scientific instruments etc. -
the list is endless.
So is it so strange then, that this remarkable element, with
its unique qualities, should be used for healing, meditation
and psychic work?  The quartz crystal’s many properties
(amplifying, storing, channelling, receiving and transmitting)
make it ideal to use when working with subtle, finer
energies.

BE GUIDED BY YOUR
INTUITION

If you are new to crystals, then take heart!   You don’t need
to be a scientist, geologist or mystic to work with crystals
any more than you need to be a mechanic to drive a car.

I found that when I was first attracted to crystals and sought
to understand and learn more about them, I naturally turned
to books, of which there are many excellent ones.  However,
I became very confused, because each book said something
different. What was I to believe?

Quite simply, once you get started, you find that each
crystal is unique, as is each person who works with them.

What works for one doesn’t work for another, and so on. In
truth, you work best in your own way through your intuition.
“Ah!”, I hear you say, “that’s okay for those who are very
intuitive and sensitive to these things, but what about those
who have yet to develop or ’bring down’ their intuition’?’

LET'S GET
STARTED

So I thought I would outline the basic way I go about my
work with crystals.  But I must stress that it is ‘my way’ of
doing things. You need to keep your heart and mind open
so that you can adopt what feels right for you, reject what
doesn’t, and develop ‘your own way’ in time.  

Paradoxically, try to get a ‘feel’ for what you are doing
without trying too hard!

SOME USES FOR
CRYSTALS

First of all, have in mind what you want to do with the
crystal.  Crystals can be used in a multitude of ways, e.g.,

✔ To aid meditation;
✔ To help still or focus the mind;
✔ To aid the channeling or directing or

healing, intuitive, psychic and spiritual
energies;

✔ Dowsing;
✔ To help you record your dreams;
✔ To aid you in your inner development;
✔ To psychically protect you;
✔ To help you develop your potential;
✔ To balance your chakras;
✔ And so on, and so on .......

CHOOSING A
CRYSTAL

Once you have decided what you want to aim for, then
choose a crystal for that specific purpose.

There are many types of crystals, gems and semi-precious
stones that you can choose from to work with.  In fact, you
will find that you are spoilt for choice.

So, to start with, until you have learnt and gained
experience and confidence in the use of crystals and
stones, and have sufficient knowledge of the chakra (energy
system), or unless your intuition tells you otherwise, then you
can’t go wrong by choosing a crystal that is a single-
terminated clear quartz for most purposes.

Rose quartz is also good, especially for healing and
soothing and as a touchstone.

Amethyst (purple colored) is likewise especially good for
healing and also for meditation purposes, but only if you
have a strong ‘feel’ to use it. Otherwise, in all cases, if in
doubt, use a clear quartz crystal.

The reason for this is that a clear quartz is able to channel
white Light, and from white Light all the colors of the
spectrum emanate.
Color plays an essential part in healing. By ‘healing’ I don’t
just mean ‘curing’ the body, but healing in the true spiritual
sense of making ‘whole’, unifying, liberating and
enlightening!  By ‘Light’ I am referring to ‘spiritual Light’, the
‘Light of God’, the ‘essence of all things’.

It doesn’t matter what spiritual understanding you may have,
or esoteric knowledge you possess, or even what religion
you follow.  All speak of ‘the Light’.

UNIQUE
CHARACTERS

Not only are there many different types of crystal, but every
single one is unique. Through the psychic work I do, I have
found that by ‘tuning in’ to quartz crystals, each one has its
own ‘character’.  So, like individual personalities, each is
suited to working in various different ways.
So, like individual personalities, each is suited to working
in various different ways.

One crystal might be suited as an aid to meditation,
while another for healing etc. Therefore, initially
choose and use whatever crystal you ‘feel’ or ‘think’ fits
the bill. Don’t worry about it, or analyze your choice.  

You can’t make terrible mistakes, but in time
you will make better choices.

A LITTLE METAPHOR
WITH CARS

I like to think of it in this way, by using a metaphor with cars:
each car has its own ‘character’, be it a Mini, a Land Rover,
sports car or Rolls Royce.  
Each is capable of getting you from A to B, but you are
more likely to go to your wedding in a Rolls Royce, pull a
___ trailer across country with a Land Rover, get about
_______town in a Mini, and enter a race with a sports car.
_____ But, if necessary, you could go to your wedding in a
____ Mini, shop in your sports car, race your Land Rover and
___ pull a trailer with your Roller!

CLEANING AND
CLEARING YOUR
CRYSTAL

Once you have decided what you want to do, and have
chosen your crystal, the next step is to clean, (or as I prefer
to refer to the process, ’clear’) it ready for programming it
to work with you in a specific way for your chosen purpose.

Thoughts and emotions are energies.  It is through our
thoughts, our intentions and feelings that we are able to
convey our instructions to the crystals.  

And most importantly, just as people and animals thrive on
love, and plants blossom best on the love of the green-
fingered, so too, crystals are especially potent tools in the
hands of those who are loving, kind and giving in their
intentions.

But make no mistake, crystals can and have been used for
negative, manipulating and selfish purposes.  I would
strongly advise against such use, for all deeds of a
spiritually ‘separatist’ nature are ultimately deeds against
one’s SELF.

Therefore, it is important that you approach your work with
crystals with the intention that whatever you do is for ‘the
greater good’ of yourself and others.

Because of the crystal’s strong amplifying, channelling,
receiving, storing and transmitting qualities, it is a good
idea to clean (clear) the crystal of any previous ‘thought
instructions’ or negativity it may have been programmed
with either intentionally or even unwittingly.

Also, in the case of both clearing and programming, your
instructions should always be affirmed in the ‘positive’.

Unless a crystal has gathered dust, it is not a physical
cleaning it needs.  Though crystals are often cleared by
using water, it is not the water itself that clears the crystal.

The clearing process is achieved through our thoughts and
intentions, and it is those thoughts and intentions that the
water represents and symbolizes.

There are many different ways of clearing crystals, but I use
one of the following simple methods whenever I acquire a
new crystal. I place it under cold running water while
affirming that it is clear of negativity and any previous
programming.

Or I place it in a bowl of fresh cold water and soak it for a
few hours, again having the thoughts and intentions that it is
cleared when placing it in the bowl.  

My favourite method is to hold the crystal in my right hand
about a foot away from my body and visualize a beam of
pure white ‘Light ‘shining through it, while affirming that it is
cleared of any negativity and previous programming. These
’thought intentions’ can be done purely in your head or
spoken aloud if you prefer.

PREPARING YOUR
CRYSTAL

____ When the crystal has been cleared, I like to
_____ energize and personalize it by visualizing a
______ glowing white ‘light’ around the crystal and
______ myself. The crystal is then ready for
_____ programming.

____ I would like to mention here that it is generally
____ accepted that you hold the crystal in your right
_____ hand when clearing and programming and also
___ when you use it for healing.

_ Whereas when you meditate with a crystal, or use it to
__ aid channelling in your psychic work, you hold it in
-- your left hand.

This is because for most people energy is given with the
___ right and received with the left hand. Here again, I
___ would like to stress that this is a general rule.

____ It could be different for you. So use your intuition. 
_____ Do what ‘feels’ right for you personally.

RECORD-KEEPER
CRYSTALS

Another thing to talk about, before getting down to the
nitty-gritty of programming, is that you may have heard
about ‘record keeper’ crystals.  

These crystals have supposedly been programmed by
people or beings from the distant past. Record keeping
crystals are said to have information ‘recorded’ in them on a
wide range of subjects from historical details to esoteric
knowledge.

It is not that I dispute the existence of such crystals, it is just
that I personally feel that the information they contain can
only be interpreted with any accuracy by people who are
very pure psychic channels.  I say that because all
spiritual/psychic experiences and impressions are
perceived/brought down to physical consciousness through
the ‘filters’ of a person’s individual mind.

Also, as any information from a computer is only as good
and as accurate as the person who programmed it, it is very
difficult to ‘know’ whether the information contained in a
‘record keeper’ is correct, evolutionary and a product of ‘the
Light’.

Personally, I believe that all pure knowledge one needs to
know can be channelled from your Higher Self to your
consciousness on this physical plane through your own inner
development and awareness, and it is this that needs
working on.  

So what’s the point of decoding others’ information and risk
being misled? Here again, I can only repeat that this is my
opinion.

If your intuition about ‘record keeper’ crystals (as opposed
to your desire and curiosity) tells you otherwise, then it is
that upon which you must act.

Therefore, if you recognize, ‘feel’ or have been told that you
have a record keeper crystal, and you intend to channel its
information, then of course you would not do the usual work
of clearing it of its previous programming.

PROGRAMING
YOUR CRYSTAL

Now to the actual programming.  What I do is, while holding
the crystal in my right hand, with my eyes closed and
visualizing white ‘light‘ around the crystal, I direct my
‘thought intentions’ to the crystal.  

Don’t worry if you can’t visualize, just think of it while you
affirm inwardly, or out loud, your intentions.

Regardless of the individual specific programming I give
them, I always affirm to all my crystals the following:

“You are only to be programmed by me”;
“You are only to be programmed in a positive way, by the
highest, to the highest, and for the highest”;
“You are to be self-cleansing” (i.e. the intention here
being that the crystal is not to pick up any negativity);
“You are to protect me at all times, on all levels, in all
ways” (So you have got your ‘psychic protection’
covered!);
“You are to work for the ‘greater good’ of all concerned”.
I then affirm their specific instructions as to what they
are to be used for.  Finally, I close the programming by
affirming ‘love, Light and thanks’.

MAINTENANCE
BETWEEN USES

I find that I have given the instructions that the crystal is
self-cleansing so that it does not pick up any negativity
during the course of daily life (such as when you are having
a blazing row in the same room as a crystal, for example).

This enables the crystal to ‘fend off’ the negative thoughts
and emotions of any people around it, and particularly when

it is handled by others.

I find, though, that from time
to time, and especially after

a crystal has been used for
healing, it pays to give it a
‘boost’, so to speak, by putting
it in water again to soak or
using the visualized ‘light beam’
method.

I then re-energize it as before and reaffirm its program. This
may seem like a repetitive and unnecessary chore, but I feel
it keeps my intentions, and the crystal, ‘sharp’ to the job in
hand.

MEDITATING WITH
YOUR CRYSTAL

Briefly, how to
use them when you
meditate?  

Firstly, include in your
program that you want the
crystal to “aid me in my meditation
so that I will know what I need to know”.  

Then you could add to that instruction
anything that is relevant to your particular
form and practice of meditation.

Having done this, simply hold the crystal
in your left hand when you meditate.  

If you have never meditated before,
then to start with, just sit quietly for
a few minutes each day with your
crystal in your left hand and let
your thoughts gently focus on
the crystal.

INTEGRATE
CRYSTALS INTO
YOUR DAY

Different crystal jewelry rings.  Choose a different one
according to your mood.
Finally, enjoy your crystals!  Have fun with them, be it
through spiritual inner work or just using them as jewelry or
to beautify your home.
Maybe we can change the old phrase of “A man’s best
friend is his dog” to: “A person’s best friend is their crystal”?
