of Sainik School Bijapur, since they provide 100 cadets of class IX had undergone the
outdoor and real life experience, which white water raft ing and adventure camp at

ATC NCC camp was conducted in our
Cschool for the cadets of Class X and
Class XII from 11 October 2015 to 20

October 2015. The aim of the camp was to
develop and insti ll qualiti es of leadership,
spirit de corps and camaraderie. The
focus areas of the camp were as follows:

• Hygiene
• Map reading skills
• Judging the Distance
• Communicati on skills
• Stripping and assembling rifl e
• Physical endurance and stamina
building
The cadets were shown a demo of tent
pitching on the fi rst day. Then the cadets
were divided into six companies namely
Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echoes and
Fox Trot. Intercompany kabbadi and
volley matches were organised. Exercise,
cross country, cleaning and shramdaan
was also a part of camp acti viti es.
The cadets had map to ground,

and judging distances. The camp
demonstrated the techniques of laying
a successful ambush. Ambush is a very
important fi eld operati on and requires
greatest skill and pati ence. Lectures on

the diffi culti es faced by a soldier.
This camp was a good learning
experience and cherished one too. It

lecture with PPT presentati on on First Aid.
He stressed on the importance of taking a
person out of danger zone from the place of

on the cadets.
