Welcome to the sixteenth (16th) edition of The Living Day By Day Magazine.
As I begin to write the Editors Note for the sixteenth edition of the Living Day By Day
Magazine, I clearly heard God say Growth and Opportunity. I am so excited about
ALL of the opportunities that God has in store for you and for me. Opportunities that
will bring change, elevation, growth and prosperity in ALL areas of our lives.
In this season of your life, God is going to do the unthinkable. Set your minds and
your hearts to experience the “TOP”. For so long the bottom and the middle has
been the norm but God is about to blow your mind like never before because you are
destined to excel to the “TOP”.
The bible tells us in Ephesians 3:20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding
abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh
in us. God has already approved your elevation. Stop worrying about your haters,
doubters and naysayers. They hold NO weight. In your fight for the top, God has al-
ready positioned your enemies at the bottom. You already won. This is your season
to celebrate Growth and Opportunity.
As you embrace and celebrate Growth and Opportunity, keep your eyes on God and
not on the enemy. It’s very easy to get off course when you focus on the enemy. No
matter what the enemy tries, God will blocked it and/or use it for your good. It is so
amazing how God will take the plan of the enemy and make it work for your good
(Romans 8:28). No matter how things are looking in your life, it will work together for
your good.
As I embrace and celebrate Growth and Opportunity for my life, I am grateful to God
for all of his blessings. At one point in my life, every avenue of my life was stagnant,
BUT God saw fit for immediate change and immediate elevation. I am grateful for
those who tried (key word...tried) to stop me from elevating because, it only made me
stronger and wiser. No matter what the enemy tried, God would not allow it to prosper.
I am grateful that God continues to allow his blessings to flow into the Living Day By Day Magazine which allows me to bring you content that is
enjoyable, inspirational and motivational.
In closing, I encourage you all to continue to keep your eyes on the prize of Growth and Opportunity. We’d love to hear from you!
This is not the season for you to focus on your haters. This is the season for you to embrace God’s
blessings for your entire life. No matter what, you can’t be stopped in this season. God has already
ordained this season for you to elevate to the TOP!!!!!!!.

Pastor Kim
2nd Annual WOMEN on the Battlefield Conference * April 14th-16th, 2016
Conference Speaker
Kimberly Jones‐Pothier, lovingly known as Real Talk Kim, travels the world fulfilling her passion and pur-
pose of loving people back to life. Pastor Kim is a sought after anointed conference speaker, life coach and men-
tor. A true worshiper, she radiates with the love and joy of the Lord. Kimberly’s ministry, Conquering Hell in
High Heels, was birthed while going through the healing process of her past.
As a child, Kimberly heard the voice of God and was given the as-
signment to reach the masses. Now she travels the world preach-
ing, teaching and leading people to the love of God, equipped with
an assignment simply “to love people back to life.”
After surviving a divorce and relocating her family to Fayetteville,
Georgia, the restoration process began. During this time, God
healed her mind, body and soul. She was able to forgive and move
forward in her mandated assignment of loving people back to life
as God had done for her. Kimberly’s willingness to be transparent
and raw in her testimony of conquering hell has garnered her re-
spect amongst her peers and millions of people all around the
world who read her daily Facebook posts and tweets.
Kimberly believes every person possesses purpose, passion and
power and uses the tools of preaching, outreach and worship to
unveil this in the lives of people daily.
Her journey of reaching the masses began when she was anointed
as a child to sing. She was placed before great men and served as
Worship Pastor traveling with Pastors Rod Parsley, Clint Brown,
Larry and Tiz Huch, as well as Drs. Mark & Ruth Chirrona. She
was also a part of the Christian television program, Power of Praise with Angela Courte. Although she found great
success and favor, Kimberly knew there was more to her assignment than just leading people into the presence
with singing. God was calling her into something greater, however not without first meeting pain and adversity.
Kimberly walked away from God for a season and quickly realized this was not where she was destined.
Ministry is more than a passion, it is genetic. Drs. Ann and Henry Jones, Kimberly’s parents, have been in minis-
try for more than 44 years. Pastor Kim is a wife, mother, pastor, best‐selling author, entertainer and most im-
portantly a worshipper after God’s own heart. Pastor Kim and her husband Mark Pothier are the Senior Pastors
at Church of the Harvest in Fayetteville, Georgia and have two awesome sons Lyncoln and Morgan that lead
beside them in ministry. ■

Respect Goes A Long Way!!
It is unfortunate that teens today do not
fully understand the importance of being
respectful. There is a large percentage
of teens who are disrespecting family,
friends, teachers and even their own
parents. Being disrespectful seems to
be the norm for a lot of teens, but respect
really does go a long way.
Being respectful is vital to the growth and
future of any teen. It’s time out for follow-
ing the crowd and being disrespectful. It
only takes one teen to stand up and be
respectful then, other teens will follow.
Disrespect hurts, offends and in some cases has caused a teen to be injured and even
killed. The end result of being disrespectful is never good. Teens have to learn how to
embrace maturity and respectfulness in every situation.
Being respectful and walking in maturity is a learned effort. That’s why it is so important
for teens to be surrounded around other teens that understand and know the importance
of being mature and respectful. Teens that are disrespectful can’t teach another teen to
be respectful. That’s why the company a teen keeps is a important part of their growth
and their future.
Growing into a respectful teen affords you a wide variety of experiences and opportuni-
ties. Teens be sure to be respectful and position yourself for a good future full of laughs,
peace and joy. Respect really does go a long way. ■

&Reaching Equipping (Young) Adults for Life
How to Change Your Life With One Question
To consider yourself as an adult one must be self sufficient, responsible, and developed. Adulthood
is a process; you must have extreme confidence in your own abilities, which puts you a step ahead
of the rest.
Starting with knowing your worth living and function-
ing without the help of others. In life there comes a
time you have to walk alone but keep in mind God
is always with you, this teaches responsibility which
says you can handle the task ahead and be trusted.
The developmental stage of adulthood can be
challenging at times it doesn’t feel good to be
stretched, enlarged, or improved but it brings fourth
fullness adds detail to your character. What I like
most about Jabez in the bible he didn’t want the pain
his mother experienced, but he understood God had
an expected end for him, so he cried out to God
saying, “Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my
territory, and that your hand might be with me, and
that you would keep me from harm so that it might not bring pain! And God granted his request.
Jabez was not only asking for protection he was asking for guidance in righteousness which comes
with responsibility, self sufficiency, and development.
There comes a time in life were we all have to grow up and find the doorway, an author said it best
in Psalms 119:32 ~ I will run in the way of your commandments when you enlarge my heart!
Meaning teach me, give me directions on how to grow, be free, and seek after righteousness.
It’s going to take some work, but ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the
door will be open unto you. I challenge you to ask God to be the author and finisher of your faith,
watch the individual you grow to become. I salute you on your journey! ■

Was it persistence? Was it faith? Was it a new

statement and share my reasoning for why we
can learn from our elders. Yes, I know you have
heard the words a million times growing up and
as a young adult. Most of the time, the words
come up during tough learning lessons so some
individuals may be on guard and hesitant to look
pass the moment. The adage of there is nothing

point.
Now, it may seem as if our lives face unique

far as a career, there will be tradeoffs that you will have to sacrifice.
In my case, I was able to get my ordination through my church. My pastor as
well as district elder and the church Bishop in addition to the local congregation
saw the dilemma I was in and was able to work well with me as I fulfilled my
ministerial duties. With both parents coming to church with me each Sunday, it
made it even easier for them to see the year to year deterioration My advisor
was made aware of my situation. He allowed time during the week to attend
doctor appointments and trusted me to complete research around those times.
When I look back, it has been nothing but the grace of God that got me through
this. We don’t know what Paul’s thorn in the flesh was, but we do know that
God never took it away from him. He said “My grace is sufficient for thee: for
my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather
glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me”.

How Eating Dirt Makes You Healthy
By Dr. David Jockers
One of the best books I have recently read is “Eat Dirt” by my good friend Dr. Josh Axe. I have known
Dr. Axe since graduate school where we were both part of the same organization. He is a really smart,
compassionate guy with a huge heart to help people.
He sent me an advanced copy of his book and I was really impressed. He goes into detail on the
importance of the microbiome, the benefits of soil based microorganisms and 5 specific gut types and the
proper diet and lifestyle principles
to improve a wide variety of
digestive health and chronic
inflammatory conditions.
The most important condition Dr. Axe discusses is leaky gut or intestinal permeability
syndrome. This is where the intestinal lining becomes damaged and tears allowing food
particles and microorganisms to get into the blood stream. This results in chronic inflam-
mation and autoimmunity.
Dr. Axe goes into detail on how the use of soil based organisms and specific super-
foods and supplements helps to repair the gut lining and reduce inflammation and
autoimmunity. ■

Root Canal Therapy: The Root To the Truth
Dr. Rico Short
For some, the phrase “root canal” sounds painful. It conjures visions of
blood, sweat and tears. However, in most cases, the “bark” of a root canal is
much worse than its “bite. In other words, most people fear root canals
because of misinformation. Being knowledgeable about the root canal
procedure is the key to understanding it — and recognizing when you need
one. In the hands of a specialist a root canal can be virtually pain free.
What is a root canal?
A dental procedure that is performed by a general dentist or specialist (an
endodontist) in order to save a tooth that, otherwise, would have to be
removed. This involves removing the infected nerves; cleaning, shaping and
disinfecting the inside of the roots (canals); and packing it with a rubberlike
material called gutta percha. In many cases over the counter medications
such as Ibuprofen is enough to cover any discomfort after the procedure.
True or False?
1) Root canals are always painful.
False! In fact, root canal therapy should be a relatively pain-free procedure
if the proper diagnosis and anesthetic is given to the patient. However,
studies show, if you are in more pre-operative pain, then you will experi-
ence a little more post-operative discomfort. Get to the Endodontist early!
2) You don’t need a root canal because your tooth is going to fall out anyway.
False! Actually, it’s the opposite. The purpose of performing a root canal is to maintain the tooth. Once a root canal is
completed, it is very important for the patient to go back to the general dentist for the proper restoration, which may be a
filling or a crown. The recommended time frame is within 30 days. A root canal, if performed properly, can last a lifetime.
3) You can die from an untreated root canal.
True! There have been several documented cases in which people have died from tooth infections. If you have an infected
tooth, there are usually only two choices: root canal therapy or extraction. Both can eliminate the source of infection, which
is bacteria. The problem is when people wait too long the infection gets really bad, which can turn the situation into a
medical emergency.
4) There is a difference between an endodontist and my regular dentist performing a root canal.
True! Endodontists are specialized dentists who have completed advanced education of two or more years in the root canal
therapy and surgery necessary to maintain the original teeth. In most cases, they can perform the procedure faster and with
less pain and at a higher success rate. ■– Dr. Rico Short
Dr. Rico Short, author of Getting to the Root of Your Problem: 365 Days of Inspirational Thinking, is a dental specialist in
root canal therapy and a board-certified endodontist whose practice, Apex Endodontics P.C., is located in Smyrna, Ga.
Known as “the root canal specialist to the stars,” Dr. Short lectures all over the country about the importance of maintain-
ing your natural teeth and dispelling the myths of root canal treatment.

Overseer Stephen O. Howard
“Everywhere my feet touch down is my pulpit.”
Born the 11th out of 12 children on December 30, 1967 to Bishop Willie Paul and Lovillar Howard, I am
the youngest son. My father made it mandatory that we attended church, sometimes 6-7 days a week.
Spending most of my time in church I got saved at 12 years
old and was giving the gift of speaking in tongues, but my
relationship with God wasn’t established till the year 2009.
Living in my parents’ house we weren’t allowed to watch TV
or hangout with our friends unless they were from the
church. Needless to say I grew up sheltered.
At a very young age I had a taste of what life outside of
church was and I got hooked. From drug and alcohol
addictions to robbing, I’ve done it all. At age 17 I had my first
encounter with Law Enforcement. By the time I was 28 I had
been in and out of jail and drug rehabs so many times that I
lost count. But that wasn’t enough; I ended up in prison for
burglary for 3 years, was released and back in within 45
days. I spent an additional 7 years and it still wasn’t enough,
once released I reverted back earning me another 3 years. It
was in those 3 years that I had decided enough was enough. I
had realized the destruction I’d cause not only to my life, but also to my family and society. Once I made
a conscience decision to change my life, I began working towards making a difference in my life and the
life of others.
Although I am a Pastor, a Husband, a Father, and a Grandfather
(Papa) I am also transparent. I believe that by being transparent
with those I meet, my testimony could help someone overcome
whatever it is that they may be going through.
I am the Pastor and Founder of True Visions Global Christian
