initial focus has been women and children,
we have recently expanded funding for

Projects covering the latter are already

Jana Shakti is a unique employee driven CSR program that
enables employees to financially support women and children
in need. Employees may contribute Rs.5,000 and
Janalakshmi will provide a matching contribution, upto four
times the amount, namely Rs.20,000. Total support amount to
the beneficiary will thus be Rs.25,000
Overview of the Jana Shak Program
The Jana Shakti program witnessed great momentum in 2016-17: As against 16 applications from Head O ce
(HO) and South Zone in the previous year, we received 113 applications from HO and 5 Zones in 2016-17. The
increased applications can be attributed to many factors such as periodic awareness campaigns and the
revision of the policy to make the Jana Shakti program more inclusive.
Highlights of the Policy Revision e ective Jan 2017:
• JanaNayaks at any designation are eligible to participate in Jana Shakti.
• JanaNayaks who are Assistant Managers or below may contribute Rs.2500 and JFS will provide a matching
contribution, upto four times the amount, namely Rs.10,000. Total support amount to the beneficiary will
thus be Rs.12,500.
• JanaNayaks at any level may contribute Rs.2500 in cases where the Jana Shakti total contribution request
is between Rs.5000 and Rs.10,000.
