Leakage of hydraulic oil

Hydraulic oil will leak if the domestic
oil cylinder piston sealing ring runs
out after its service life. If it is not
replaced according to the normal
schedule, the hydraulic oil will leak.
The oil could potentially leak into the
ground near the base of the elevator
and cause contamination in the
groundwater.

Motor drive misaligned

Shaft alignment is important when
electric motors are connected to other
machinery parts. Motor bearings start to
wear if they are not aligned properly.
Advanced laser standard test conditions
or straight lines and ropes can be used to
detect shaft misalignment.

COMPONENT FUNCTION

Hydraulic Power Unit The hydraulic power unit shall be evaluated for suitability, and a
vibration isolator installed. The device must be operated with the
Pump / Motor minimum possible level of noise and vibration. The device is hung on
the floor of the machine room on a vibration isolator. Silencers are
Tank included to minimize airborne congestion noise and reduce the
transmission of pulses to the ram. There are several main
components of a hydraulic power unit namely tank, pump/motor and
valve.
In a hydraulic elevator, a pump is used to force the fluid in the
cylinder that lifts the elevator. A sink pump with a variable speed
system is used for complete immersion air. The pump motor is fully
sealed and connected closely to the pump body. In addition, the
pump and motor should be mounted on the base plate, which should
be rigid. The pump and motor must be properly aligned and
maintained to run smoothly in normal operating mode.

To minimize the ingress of gas and air, the tank shall be designed with
the appropriate capacity and quantity of reserves. The oil level can be
monitored with a sight glass, and the minimum level score is
displayed. There should be an oil level monitoring device and audio
alarm provision in the control panel to identify any issues. The
function of the tank is to store its own lubricating oil and cannot be
compressed.

Valve The main function of the valve is to remove fluid from the system.
When the valve is closed, it helps increase the pressure, and when it
Seismic Valve is open, it helps reduce the pressure. The stopcock is being installed
Buffers between the control valve and the cylinder, then it needs to be placed
Final Switch Limit between the reservoir tank and the pump.
Anti-creep device
The valve near the jack in the pit is intended to maintain the pressure
Piston of the hydraulic line which is disrupted due to seismic activity.

Before the jack plunger reaches its lower limit of movement,
the elevator must be stopped by the buffer-striking member on
the car's underside.

If the upper normal terminal stop mechanism fails, the elevator must
be fitted with an end limit switch that cuts off all power to the
elevator.

In case of a leak in the hydraulic system that causes the car to move
down for more than 75 mm but within the unlock zone, arrangements
must be made to return the car automatically to landing level at a
speed of not more than 0.15 m/s.

The cylinder is formed of steel pipe of suitable thickness. A cylinder

head with internal driver ring and self -adjustment the packing

system is located above the cylinder. The plunger is consists of a

smooth machined steel shaft with the required diameter and welded

stopper at the bottom to avoid piston from coming out of the

cylinder.

PRINCIPLE
AND SYSTEM

Tank
The pump pushes liquid from the tank into the pipe
that flows to the cylinder. So, when the valve is
opened, the pressurized fluid will return to the fluid
tank along the path of least resistance. When the
valve is closed, unfortunately, the pressurized fluid
has nowhere else to go except to the inside of the
cylinder. Once, the fluid in the cylinder accumulates,
it pushes the piston higher, and lifts the elevator car.

Pump
The control system sends a signal to the electric motor
to turn off the pump gradually as the car approaches
the right floor. No more fluid enters the cylinder with
the pump turned off, however, the fluid in the cylinder
flows back through the pump as well as the valve is still
closed. The piston sits on the fluid, and the car remains
stable.

Valve
The elevator system sends a signal to the valve to
lower the car. The solenoid switch controls the valve
electrically. When the solenoid opens the valve, the
fluid that has accumulated in the cylinder will flow out.
The piston that drives the fluid into the tank is pushed
down by the weight of the car as well as the load. The
car began to decline gradually. The control system
closes the valve to stop the car at a much lower level.

SPACE
IMPLICATION

For standard building layouts consisting of 4
storeys or more, the ground level mostly has more
space and organized where it is a suitable area to
install a hydraulic lift. A hydraulic lift will be
installed near the staircase which is one of the
escape routes for the building in the event of an
emergency. The position of the elevator will be
vertical to the top floor but the area to install the
elevator will be smaller due to the usable area. As
a result, the space implications for the first level
are limited for residents of the area.

CONCLUSION

Multi-storey smart building has brought the concept of building to
our life, providing all services with feature characteristics, with a good fire
safety that can give us early precautious then a good air ventilation to give
us excellent air quality while serving a service to customers. Thus, in term
of green building which it is fantastic for smart building like hotel to use a
smart solar power system that can reduce the bill and take an advantage to
use solar system instead of use the conventional method of electrical use,
others, parallel to the new modern era where it is a necessary thing for
smart building to have it that is wireless fidelity or we call it as Wi-Fi which
it provide us a wireless network that keep us keep in touch with people
around the world and give an accommodation for the services provide for
hotel.

Having a smart building that offers services in an understandable and
straightforward way makes all this feasible. a fully intelligent system that
could adapt to any user and probably any other system. There are always
going to be little things that go wrong, but as time goes on, new technology
gets better. In other hand, help and finding solution to small challenges that
we faced in our smart building hotel. We are excited to see how these
systems for the smart building system will be implemented. We can get the
pertinent information about our implementation of the suggested smart
building system from many online sources, including articles and journals,
with definition of terms like application, system, installation method,
advantages, problem, and many more. To examine the difficulties in
implementing smart building systems in construction projects and the
importance of developing such systems in Malaysia
