Glossary
Fortnite-A battle royale game made by epic games
and people can fly
Emote- portray emotion in a theatrical matter
LTM-Limited time mode

The cube- The cube is a purple cube-like object
which had rolled around the fortnite map during

season 6
Vaulted- A weapon taken out of the game to not

come back in or come back in later
V-bucks- V-bucks are an in-game currency in
fortnite. Each v-buck is worth about 1 cent but
things in the game go as low as 200 v-bucks.

Season 8 and season 7 of Fortnite has
introduced
Many things. In season 7 planes and drift boards
were introduced to the game. Planes can fit 1 driver
and 4 passengers on the wings. Season 7 also fixed
the balloons so when you use the balloons you can
also use your weapons. It also reduced the stack
size of balloons from 20 to 10 making it take 3
balloons to completely fly. Season 7 has vaulted
the shadow stones, port-a-forts, chiller, clinger,
double barrel shotgun, and the shockwave grenade.
The new iceberg biome was added and new named
locations such as Frosty Flights, and Polar peak.
Another item introduced to the game in season 7,
are different wraps for guns and vehicles. Season 8
has added a volcano, lazy lagoon, risky reels, and
sunny steps. Season 8 also added Pirates to the

game. Vaulted items include the plane, the shopping
cart, the atk/golf cart, burst assault rifle,
bolt-action sniper, heavy shotgun, mp5 style
submachine gun, quad launcher, sixshooter, infinity
blade, boombox, and the grenade. A few items that
they added or brought back to the game include
cannons, the infantry rifle, epic and legendary pump
shotguns, and clingers. Season 8 added in buried
treasure to fortnite. You can find a buried treasure
map and it will point you into the direction to the
buried treasure. When you get to the buried
treasure you will see an x on the ground. Once you
hit the x a few times with your pickaxe you will be
able to open a chest that gives you legendary loot.
When you have a cannon you can aim at a target
and shoot the cannon which will destroy objects in
the way. You can also launch yourself far distances
using the cannon.

First, in season 6 the cube was formed in the
desert around cacti. Secondly, the cube was rolling
around the fortnite map. Then while it was rolling
it had been forming shadow stones around the map.
After that, It was visible that the cube was
forming a larger cube around the map. Next, the
cube had rolled into loot lake, vaporizing the cube
but making loot lake purple like the cube. You
were now able to bounce high on loot lake like
the cube. Later on, is season 6 the cube had broken
apart the middle of loot lake leaving a floating
island in the sky and a hole in the ground.

Season 5 in fortnite is so much different and
similar to apex legends. fortnite has Emotes and
toys you can use to mess around while playing but
apex legends doesn’t. Apex legends is a more
realistic game while fortnite is a more cartoony
one. Fortnite season 5 had brought in a golf cart
or atk while apex legends doesn’t have a vehicle of
right now. Fortnite has a battle pass while apex
doesn’t. Apex legends and fortnite are similar
because they are both battle royale games. They
both have guns to kill opponents in them. They both
have storms which will damage you if you are in
them. They both have seasonal themes in the game.

SEason 3 had taken things a step further by
adding more things to the battle pass. That made
more people play the game and made the game more
exciting. In Season 3 there was a meteor that
appeared which was found out in season 4, it had
destroyed dusty depot and the prison and had
damaged a building in tilted towers. From the
meteor hitting dusty depot, it became dusty divot and
had hop rocks around it. When hop rocks were
consumed they had given you extra high jump and no
fall damage for a limited time. The new movie
“Avengers: Infinity War” had come out which had
then made Epic games add in a limited time mode. In
the LTM you could play as Thanos if you get the
infinity gauntlet from a meteor coming down.

Season 1 and 2 had set the basic foundations for
the fortnite battle royale. There were not many
things interesting and there were only a few
original players and a few skins. So they added
more skins in season 2 than in season one. There
was no battle pass so as a solution you were able
to buy skins with v-bucks. In season 2 there was a
need to step up the game so the battle pass was
added into fortnite. It included dozens of emotes,
outfits, tools and icons. Fortnite needed a center
skin for the season so the Black Knight was
brought in the game. besides the battle pass, there
was nothing else that stood out about season 2.
Because of that, epic games decided to put more
interesting things in other seasons.
