I am excited to announce that we have a fantastic field of professionals for

Andy North will be returning, as well as Denver native and PGA Tour

Speaking of Andy North, it is hard to believe this year marks the 40th
Anniversary of his first of two U.S. Open championships. Andy was at the
Club in late May with some friends from Wisconsin and they surprised him
with a silver tray to commemorate his win. Cassie and I brought down the
U.S. Open trophy before they teed off and we all toasted Andy with some
sparkling cider. For me, it is always a special treat to have Andy here because
he is such a big part of this Club’s great championship history.

The Hillsdilly is one of the many great Cherry
Hills’ traditions and the 59th Hillsdilly was
another great event. It was a fun week as 96
teams battled over 4 days with the goal of
being crowned the Hillsdilly Champions at
the end of the day Saturday. After 5 matches
and 45 holes of tough competition, 50
teams advanced to the preliminary shootout
with a chance to become one of the 6
teams competing in the final shootout for
a chance to become the champions. When
the preliminary shootouts finished, the teams of Chris Marsico &
Jonathan Marsico, Craig Sands & Ryan Montgomery, Dan Gutrich &
Chad Brownstein, Paul Moreno & Andrew Rehm, Guy Arnold & Brian
Wilkinson, and John Wickliff & Jeff Grothe all advanced to the finals.
After the 18th Hole, the teams of Chris Marsico & Jonathan Marsico and
Craig Sands & Ryan Montgomery tied to force a sudden death playoff.
Chris & Jonathan Marsico were able to make par on the first playoff hole
to beat the runner up team of Craig Sands & Ryan Montgomery.

Congratulations to Richter as he was recently
named to the USTA Junior Leadership Team, July 13th-15th
which recognizes America’s finest junior tennis Parent/Child Club Championships
players who exhibit leadership, sportsmanship,
and character on and off the court. According to Lew Brewer, the July 21st
Director of USTA Junior Competition, “This team of players are our Adult Mixed Doubles Tennis & Pickleball 4-6pm

Day Doubles! The tennis was spectacular all morning and the ladies August 25th
