GRACE FOR THE CITY

A TWENTY-YEAR- OLD

PROPHETIC CALL TO LONDON

by Colin Dye

6 Revival Times November 2018

GRACE FOR THE CITY

A TWENTY-YEAR- OLD

PROPHETIC CALL TO LONDON

by Colin Dye

he story begins in 1991
when I stepped into the senior
Tleadership of this church. Many people
were prophesying negative things about
London and about Britain. It’s right to take
prophetic words of judgement seriously.
We also need to move beyond the negative,
“God-will-blast-you” kind, of message and
listen to God’s heart of love and restoration.
This is still the day of grace.

Having read many negative things in the
prophetic magazines, I went to seek God for
myself. He gave me a picture (to call it a vision
might elevate it to a level higher than it really
was, but it was a very clear picture).

I saw an angel standing high above London and
carrying a bowl, which was the size of the M25,
high above London. Immediately, I thought,
“That’s it. These doom and gloom prophets are
right after all! God is going to zap us. I knew
about the bowls of God’s wrath in the Book of
Revelation and I thought London was done for.

But, as I began to see more clearly, I understood
that this angel was an angel of mercy and grace.
As I watched closely, I saw that this angel was
looking around, and as the angel was looking
around the substance that was in this great
bowl began to spill over the edge and drop in
slow motion like thick liquid to the ground.

And wherever it splashed to the ground to
the ground people were set free, chains were
broken. People began to sing and to dance and
were set free by the power of God. And, I said,
‘Lord, what’s that?’ Then I heard these words:
“That’s my grace, son. I have yet still more
grace for the city of London.” ➜

London. But, even that will not be able
to avert the judgement in its fullness.

The Father also showed me three signs of his
judgment that were coming. The signs given
twenty years ago were a fulfilled, one by one,
in reverse order. They were not supernatural
events but, because they were announced
beforehand, they were charged with prophetic
significance. The following is a transcript of
what I said in the meeting on October 2, 1998:

Seven years later, in October 1998, God gave 1 “A fire is coming to the city. It shall strike
me the liberty to speak about the fuller picture in the City of London, in the heart of the

judgment has come.”
I saw that the first angel was looking around
and observing seven other angels of judgement 2 “There will be a judgment concerning the
approaching the city. I understood that God was water of the city. It will affect our water

because judgement is coming to the city.”
3 There will be a major incident relating to
Every judgment that comes before that final a bridge [the bridge I had in mind was the
Day of Judgment is mixed with mercy. If there Hammersmith Bridge], and the consequent

vision of his grace, it means his grace is here in
light of the judgement that is coming. And God
showed me seven angels. I saw them by the
areas of sin that they have come to judge. It
was a terrible sight. Those angels were clothed
in white. I couldn’t see their faces, thank God.
It was so awful. I was so frightened. I said,
‘please Lord, I believe you. Don’t show me
anymore, I cannot take it.”

God’s judgment hangs over London. Seven
angels are approaching, they are approaching
with God’s wrath and God’s judgment. That
judgement has already begun and only one
thing can stop it. That is in line with the verse
of scripture, “If my people, who are called by
my name will humble themselves and pray,
and seek my face, and turn from their wicked
ways…”, then God will pour out his grace up

10 Revival Times November 2018

I was so disturbed in my spirit, that I went
to talk to a senior prophetic figure in the UK,
and shared what I had seen. He pointed me to
Romans chapter one where it says, “The wrath
of God is being revealed from heaven against
all the godlessness and wickedness of men who
suppress the truth by their wickedness.” He
pointed out that God’s wrath is the background
to the gospel of Christ. This is why the verb is
in the present tense, “the wrath of God is
being revealed.”

I also saw that the major thrust of the
judgement was God handing over society to
its own wickedness and godlessness. That is
why the apostle Paul was so eager to preach the
gospel in Rome. It was a city under judgement,
but that was exactly the time to preach the
gospel. It is the only power of God for salvation,
for deliverance from judgement and for
entering into the life of God.

It is twenty years after the picture of the
angel of grace and the angels of judgment
surrounding London. God has called us to the
20:20 vision in the light of what is coming to
London and to Britain. He has called us to
repentance and faith. Repentance from our sins
and faith to put Christ first in our lives. Over
the last two decades, we have seen our society
move further and further from God. But, sadly,
God’s people remain silent. They seem to be
ashamed of the gospel and, in many ways,
they are retreating rather than advancing.

It is time for that to change. It is time for
the church to rise up with strength and hope,
knowing that the gospel, its message and
its fruit, is the only hope for our nation and
the only hope for London. There is still more
grace for our city, if we are willing to humble
ourselves, turn to the Lord afresh and be the
people he has always called us to be.

the three signs fulfilled and how that shapes our
ministry in KTLCC get your copy of the special
