CLASS OF 2023 21

Seokyung Kim Hajime Kioi Moving to Japan and coming to DISK was a great turning point in my life. It fills me with pleasure to have come to know so many great people and make such unforgettable memories during the past three years at DISK. I will never forget my high school days spent here. Thank you to my classmates and teachers and all others who supported me throughout my DISK life! To ’23: Yey- we finally made it!! Wish you good luck :) We finally made it through high school. We survived through the IB. From the endless assignments to the drama and everything in between, we've experienced it all. As we part ways and head into the real world, let's remember the good times and even the not-sogreat ones. May we take the lessons learned and use them to carve our own paths. Best of luck to all of us. 22

Manae Maeda Megumi Maeda I am truly grateful for the experience and opportunity I received through the 4 years I attended this school. There have been many ups and downs, but I’m grateful to everyone who helped me and my class get through the overwhelming and challenging IB. Studying every day in high school was definitely not what I expected… however I’m mainly grateful for the numerous lifelong memories I was able to create. I will miss DISK. Mana signing out! Bye! It’s been four years since I came to DISK and now I am already a senior getting ready to graduate. Time passes so fast!!! Looking back at my DISK years, it was filled with laughter, tears, difficulties, and the unwavering support of our incredible teachers, classmates, community, and family. I would like to borrow this opportunity to thank all the people for their wisdom and care. Also, I would like to wish the best for our junior students. Hang in there, YOU CAN DO IT! 23

Yuki Matsushima Hinata Nakamura My time at DISK has been a challenging journey for me, but I’m certain that this adventure has matured me both as a student and a person. It has provided me with valuable lessons and an enhanced understanding of the world around me. I will forever treasure the precious relationships and memories I made during my time here. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the entire DISK community for their unwavering support throughout the years. It’s been nine years at DISK and twelve years spending my time at this campus. There were changes in the DISK community, but I cherish each and every connection and memory I had for making me the person am I now. Thank you to the ones who have supported me throughout my years in DISK! Wishing the best for everyone! 24

Suryansh Thapliyal As we come to the end of our time at DISK, I can't help but feel a rush of emotions as I reflect on the incredible memories i have made and the bonds we've formed. These past four years have been a true journey, filled with ups and downs, but looking back, I couldn't be prouder of the experiences I have shared in this amazing school. “If idiots could fly, this would be an airport.” 2 0 2 3 S E N I O R S 25

BADMINTON 47

2023 Mar 23, Team Photo Continuing from last year, I have managed the basketball club with Surya as a part of our CAS activity. Throughout these two years, I have grown a lot as a person, including communication, commitment, and more importantly, relationships between players. I believe that this basketball club has been more than just any club, and has helped brought people together. The club has also sparked interest in many of the students in DISK which would allow them to further find their passion and help them do what they love to do. The past two years has been a great success for us and we appreciate the dedication the players has shown us. We hope this experience will help us and the player’s career further on.
