2023 ANNUAL REPORT 34 RATCHABURI TAKRAW CLUB Another significant milestone for the club this year is the inclusion of male athletes. It is widely known that male sepaktakraw players are predominantly employed in military, police or various government agencies that support sepaktakraw sports. This fact, along with limited budgets and an unclear future for the sport, makes it extremely challenging to form a competitive men’ s sepaktakraw team. The club has struggled to attract male athletes even with higher compensation than their current professions offer. This year, however, marks a small beginning as the club has successfully enlisted its first male athlete, Mr. Rattadech Noijaroen. He has been officially sent abroad to compete, marking a historic milestone for the club. The club has chosen to send athletes to experience the professional atmosphere in Malaysia, the homeland of our perennial rivals, in the ‘STL’ Sepaktakraw League. We have entered into an agreement to loan players to the Johor team, considering it a valuable opportunity to gain experience. This move has not only expanded the RBTC fan base, but it also strengthens our ties with Malaysia.
