Little Bear had been playing
in the sun all year. He was happily
watching the world go by when the
first snowflake fell. It landed on his nose.
“Hmm,” he said to himself. “I think it’s time
I found a special, snuggly, warm place to
spend the winter.” So off he went to find one.
It snowed harder and the wind howled.
Little Bear found a hollow log.
“This would make a perfect home for me,”
he thought. “Dry and dark and out of the wind
And he wriggled his nose inside.
“It’s far too prickly in here for you,” said the
hedgehogs. Sq Little Bear ran off in surprise.

Beside the river, Little Bear found a hole in the bank.
