spiritual values in the students. The commitment to
truth, justice and academic excellence for all round
development of one's personality to meet situations
in life. Our school is the gateway for students to
enjoy the spirit of learning and creativity enabling
them to adorn the talents for futuristic vision. The
impact of Globalization on education and the
emerging digital society is most profound. Ours is an
information society whose main drivers are
communications and technologies. . Citizen rely on technologically
mediated information. Networked communication, cyberspace and
internet culture are the hallmarks of today’s society and these are the
justification for an E- magazine. This initiative has enabled the school
curriculum to transcend its core values to all stakeholders. Education
today is responsive to emerging issues like unemployment therefore we
have EMC, Patriotism therefore we conceived Deshbhakti , to address
stressing and psychological well-being of each and every student
therefore we implemented Happiness. Mission Buniyaad was envisaged
to bridge the learning gap triggered during pandemic . The goal of
Holistic education for the all-round development of child's personality is
achieved by focusing on all these dimensions. The school is committed to
implement government policies in order to develop latent potential of
each and every child. The E magazine is an endeavour to capture and
mirror the academic and extra-curricular activities of school in
blossoming the personality of the child .Let's strive to achieve excellence
fuelled with higher aspirations and motivation as we move on to set

Our Annual E Magazine ROOTS TO WINGS is an initiative by Our
Honourable HOS Mrs Neena Popli and the entire editorial Team to redefine
the expressions and creativity with a broader perspective. It is an
amalgamation of diverse experience with our Academic Excellence, Co-
curricular Activities and Various informative and inspirational articles.
Through the E - Magazine, ROOTS TO WINGS, we have tried to showcase
our journey of memorable session. We hope our edition will make you all

Mission Buniyaad was an
excellent programme rolled out

to bridge Learning losses
caused by Covid shutdowns.

Our school data shows
significant improvement within

two months for students in
classes 3 to 5. Children showed
tremendous improvement in

reading, writing, and
mathematics. Rather than
teaching syllabus grade wise,
the program shifted the focus

of classes entirely to
foundational Hindi and English
literacy as well as mathematics.

The students were assigned
levels based on their

proficiency in the subjects. For
languages there was a multiple
pronged emphasis on speaking,
comprehension, reading and

writing, for mathematics
concepts were broken down
into physical, pictorial, and
abstract forms to facilitate
understanding across different

levels. The programme
applauded significant
improvement achievers and full
attendance students like
Khushbu, Aryan David. It was a
journey started from helping
children recognize alphabets to
scaffolding them to reach the
levels of great success of

advance story.

In primary classes, various art and craft activities are
conducted on a regular basis. Some paper folding activities
conducted during this session are boat making, frog making, dog
face making etc. Students also prepared paper kites on the
occasion of Independence Day and rakhis on Raksha Bandhan.
Thumb printing, clay modelling and photo frame making are some
activities to name among many others. Students enjoy creating
new things in their art and craft classes and are always eager
to participate in large numbers. This also facilitates their
learning of various other subjects.

We impart the knowledge by various methods like learning by doing,
demonstration etc. The environmental problems are taught by transverse skills of
the curriculum such as critical thinking, personal initiatives. We also organised
SCIENCE EXHIBITION, where students prepared models themselves like excretory
system, rain water harvesting, windmill etc.

Maths- We help children to understand and value the power of mathematics,
to equip them with the skills to contribute effectively in the world of work and civil
society. We also organised MATHEMATICS EXHIBITION, where every student
participated.

One of shining star, ALOK YADAV, got 1 position in Cluster level maths quiz
and 3rd position in Zonal level maths quiz. Our school is proud of him.

The Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi government has
introduced a programme named, ‘Project Voices’ which aims to
enhance the language fluency and public speaking skills of
government school students.

As part of this programme, Spell Bee, Debates and Extempore
speaking competitions are being conducted in Hindi and English in all
the state schools.

followed by the inter-

the students.

The DoE says the aim of
Project Voices is “creating a safe
space for students where they can
practice sharing their thoughts without
hesitation or inhibition at a common platform at school level and
beyond. It is an endeavour to encourage students to develop a skill-
set in fearlessly articulating their opinions in front of others.”

Education and the concept of happiness are linked with each other.
The Happiness Curriculum was implemented in the schools by the
Govt. of Delhi in July 2018. The curriculum is designed separately for
nursery to Class II, Class III to V and Class VI to VIII. The curriculum

involves a happiness period of 45 minutes and five minutes of
meditation in the beginning of each class. The curriculum has four
parts which includes mindfulness, stories, activities and expression. In
mindfulness, students are asked to focus their attention through
different activities such as listening attentively, being aware about
different sounds, seeing and observing things more attentively in their

present environment, etc.

SHOWCASE OR SHOW OFF

These two words are very common in day-to-day life. Many of us may even
know the meaning but too there are many things that need to be taken
care of in our life. Most of us have the confusion about the exact
difference and also get confused about what is what! These are very
small things in a person’s life but these small things when acted upon
correctly will give big changes.
Let’s start with showing off. What is show-off? Is it good or bad! No
need to worry about that. Good or bad doesn’t matter until the proper
content is portrayed. The content which you show off is of great importance. Everything cannot
be of great importance in ones life until it is very expensive, everyone will agree with this point.
Show off is something that you wish to show everyone about the matter or object or anything that
makes you feel unique. In today’s generation, social media plays an important role in posting
things that allows one to express everything to the world. Some of these postings can be personal
but too they feel like posting onto social media. So what do you achieve after posting such things?
I presume nothing. It’s a good thing that most of the news updates are also available from social
media posting but that doesn’t mean anything can be posted. Similar is show offing. Show off will
only satisfy the gut feeling which you get when you buy an expensive watch or dress or any other
item. It will not make anyone feel great about the person. The moment will be of 5 to 10 seconds
where in someone will feel happy, some jealous and some insecure, but it won’t last.
On the other side showcasing is something that you have achieved and wish to show to the world
about your achievements. Showcasing is similar to the showcase which is done with artifacts at
your home. Those artifacts may be some kind of achievement or gift or some other kind of heart-
touching item that you wish to keep safe and always in front of yourself which makes you feel
proud. Similarly, social media can also be used to showcase some of the achievements or talents
that you possess which will make the world to have a better view of you. This will make people
get attracted to you and also brings fame. You can also share some of the experience or teach

others with this kind of thing. Once you showcase the talent people will automatically start

following your path and may also become an ideal to others

A person who wants to be successful or have the mindset to achieve what he desires will never

make such show offing. It will only make people know about your path and after your success, the
happiness that others will feel won’t be of such high grade. Instead, show case only your talent

your knowledge. This may even make you bring more opportunities in life.

Show off will only satisfy your ego whereas showcasing will make you more attractive and

concentrated towards one point. Once you start showcasing your abilities let it be your hobby or

interest, if people start noticing then the demand starts increasing which will also make you more

dedicated towards it. If the hobby which you started gets noticing, then it will also definitely bring

you something that will make you feel satisfied with yourself. This showcasing is nothing but

sharing the knowledge to the world. With this kind of things, many people start getting in touch

with others in order to learn or teach. This will make you more diversified and broad-minded. The

knowledge in you will be shared to others and you will gain plenty of it.
Stop showing off the things that you bought from your money or your father’s money instead

showcase yourself which will further make money. The initial stage is a bit tough as many less

will notice you, but if you have the desire, belief, and patience then you will definitely get

recognized. If you are good at something, first improve it more and more and take it to a level of

an expert in it. Then once you start posting or showcasing, even the negativity raised can also be
handled with ease. On the other side, if you show off, it will only eat your money and you won’t

gain anything. Even the things that you buy are properly show cased in the malls to attract more
people. That’s the power of showcasing.

Everyone nowadays is getting recognised by these social media postings. Not by show offing but

by showcasing. Many young talented actors are popping up with their unique styles, many artists

and singers are emerging. This is because they showcased their talent and after sometime got

recognised by some great person. Even you may be one of them, start making your mind-set to

better yourself and showcase.

Take your time to think about the difference between showcasing and show offing and then act

upon it.

आधथमक सामर्थयम पवश्व की 85% सकल घरेलू का प्रनतननधित्व करता है । G-20 के सदस्ट्य देश पवश्व के
75% व्यािार का भी प्रनतननधित्व करते हंै। G-20 एर्जंेडा दो चनै लों द्वारा संाचामलत होता है म्र्जसमें फाइनंेस
और शरे िा रैक शाममल है। G-20 का कोई स्ट्थाई अध्यि नहीां है इसकी अध्यिता की म्र्जममेदारी हर साल
अलग अलग अलग सदस्ट्य देशों को ममलती है। भारत िहली बार 1 ददसबां र 2022 से 30 नवबां र 2023

मशखर सममले न के मलए कई देशों को अनतधथ देशों के तौर िर आमांत्रित करेगा। भारत की G-20 अध्यिता

SCIENCE CORNER

Science is the process of learning about the natural world through observation
and experimentation. As we know that Science Exhibition provides a platform
for the students to use their scientific knowledge and bring the best invention
from their brains. This year we have organized School Level Science Exhibition
under the guidance of our HOS maam at our school. All the science teachers as
well as students participated in science exhibition activities like Poster
making,Slogan writing ,Sciencetoon and Model making enthusiastically.

Students also participated in National Science Congress Seminar and Science
Drama activities at zonal level competitions.

Participation of students in science activities is an opportunity to explore real
world challenges,learn more about science and technology and apply scientific
ideas to solve them.

ACHIEVEMENTS

It gives me immense pleasure to share that Ishika of class 9th- C has qualified
science scholarship exam NMMS and Komal of class 10th- B has grabbed second
position in science poster making competition at Zonal level.

Let’s manage our stress!

Stress is body’s automatic response to
any physical or mental demand placed
to it. However, not all stress is bad.
Moderate level of stress may actually
improve performance and efficiency.
Over stressing may lead to weight
gain/loss, heart palpitations, mood
swings, anxiety, and loss of appetite.

Some students may feel over stressed when exam approaches.

Planning plays an important role in managing stress . If one has
already planned well how to cover the entire syllabus before exam,
she is less stressed in comparison to the one who has planned
nothing and thus, is, over stressed as exam approaches. So, the
most important thing is preparing and following the right daily
routine schedule that involves everything- from study time to leisure
time. Limit the use of gadgets and focus on physical activity for
leisure.

Other ways to reduce stress are-

 Mindfulness
 Get out in nature
 Laughter
 Schedule ‘me’ time
 Talk to someone you trust- parents, friends, family.

Mahatma Gandhi once said" Woman is the companion of a man gifted with

We all know that women have suffered a lot over the years. In earlier time
women did not have voting rights. They could not make decisions for
themselves on their own they were dependent on man for everything. But
over the time women realised their power and revolution of women

Our history is the evidence that proves women like Rani Lakshmi Bai ,Rani
chanamma ,were more superior than man in terms of combat and
administration. Twenty first century women like Kalpana Chawla , Mother
Teresa have overcome the barrier are free themselves from the male
dominant restraints and conveyed a strong message through their inspiring
stories.

Women empowerment means to make women capable of making their
own decisions. As Maya Angelou said "Each time a women stand up for
herself, without knowing it possibly, without claiming it, she stands for all
women.

The question is why there is a need of women empowerment?

We cannot grow as a nation if only half of the population is educated and
working. In India women are progressing but there are security issues .Rapes
are happening every hour. Women empowerment does not only mean
equal rights .But the security of women. There is a need to pay attention to
the security of women and respect them.

Empowerment reduces the violence against women. Women should also
have the right to high level education. At last, I would like to say that the
priority right now should be to empower women at all fronts such as financial
cultural and in relationships as well.

important part only brings a new change in our life.After learning the particle ideals of the mother and
father the child takes the second step in the school itself. And along with these practical ideals children
also gets the opportunity of education.

After coming to school children takes form of students from here they start connecting the link of their
present life with the link of the successful future. By working hard they brings laurels own self, own
parents, and school.

We all have to go to school everyday because study is very important for us we found success and make

क़िन्दगी को रां गोंा से सजाना। हम दोनो क्ोां खफा हंै एक दू सरे से,
