One day, a woman was making hijrah to Madinah. She travelled on foot and has no supplies with her. She was fasting and it was a scorching day. The thirst became unbearable for her.
While she was walking, a miraculous incident happened. She saw a pail filled with water hanging above her. She drank the water until she was satiated. After this incident, she would not experience thirst even though she fast on an extremely scorching day.
g Who is that lucky woman? She is Umm Ayman Barakah bint Tha'labah . She is the woman who raised Rasulullah after the demise of his mother. She participated in many battles alongside Rasulullah . She nursed the injured and provided water to the warriors. c c
c Umm Ayman was loved and respected by Rasulullah . Rasulullah once said, “Umm Ayman is my mother after my (biological) mother.” g c
