BOOK REVIEW Name:Karina Syafira Nasution Class: 6-7A Term: 1 Summary: In a backyard there is a boy named Jess he was playing with M' gwomp and his beutiful bird called Elise. But one day it went missing and it bothered Jess a lot. M' gwomp started to help Jess by convincing him that Elise could come back. So M' gwomp asked Jess to throw the boomerang as fast as possible hoping it will come back with Elise. In the first try Jess failed but M' gwomp asked him to not give up. After multiple times finally the boomerang came back with Elise and Jess is over the moon. Things that I like from this book: -The book gave us a lot of moral lessons. -Teach us to believe at out self and never give up. Book Review Name:Karina Syafira Nasution Class: 6-7A Term: 2 Title: The Creature and the Queen Author: Rus Bayok Ilustrator: Thomas Bootwright Publisher: Reading A-Z Summary: A girl called Qynn looked at at a blue octopus called Seth inside her house. So she decided to look at him. She saw a candle made out of sand and she asked Seth. Seth refused. But finally told Qynn that before humans had exsisted, mythical creatures trusted sand as the one giving them blessings. But not so long after humans started building roads and destroying mythical creatures and sands. The worst thing when Seth complained to the queen the queen threw him and his other creatures hardly. Things that I like from this book: -Teaches us to respect using a fun way. -Author using imaginations to create interesting stories. HOE and LO I got: -Optimize my potential and do my best.

His father came from a royal family Thembu under the Dutch colonization. His father passed away when he is 9 years old. His mother left him at Chief Jongintaba's house his father bestfriend. Chief Jongintaba sent Nelson Mandela to collage at Fort Hare. He also palnned Nelson mariage. Feeling furious Nelson sold Chief Jongintaba's prize oxen for a lot of money. Justice finally came back. He started to start his first protest against dark people and it suceed. He got into prison everytime but people supported him until he was finally free at 1990 also elected to be South Afria president. And died recently at 2013. Things that I like from this book: -Teaches us to never give up and believe at ourselves. -More informations about inspiring figures. HOE and LO that I got: -Listen with my heart and mind.

Author: Lisa Trumbaver Publisher: Reading A-Z Summary: The skeleton is like a frame that has muscles, blood vessels, and skin wrapped around it. The human skeleton is made up of 206 bones, starting at the top with the skull and ending at the bottom with the toe bones. our skull has twenty-two bones. The bones come together at special joints called sutures. Our forehead is a part of frontal bone. Skeletons also have teeth, but teeth are not bones and stronger then bones making them the strongest part in the body using enamel. Atlas and axis allow us to nod and shake our head. Not only skull The ribs and pelvic are attached in the backbone. ribs serve an important purpose to protect the lungs and heart. Vertebrates are animals with backbones. Things that I like from this book: -Teaches us about function of bones and the parts. -Writes the information detailly. HOE and LO that I got: -Listen with my heart and mind. -Be curios and find solution.
The most impressive book: This book teaches us about Nelson Mandela's struggle to reach freedom for everyone. The book gives lots of lessons and behaviors that can be applied in real life. In my opinion, everyone needs to start reading this book. It teaches the readers to develop important skills and provides a graphic organizer (Sequence) to help readers understand the points better.
I already read 7 English book this year. My target next year is to improve my knowledge by reading 10 or more English books next year.
