Red cabbage - a kind of cabbage, it is not only the color of
leaves (purple, violet-green, red-violet, etc.), but higher density
of cabbage stalk. Cabbage stalks are usually oval or conical
shape.

Red cabbage contains twice more vitamin C and four times
more carotene. Another substance that causes red cabbage favor
- is anthocyanin. The leaves have such an unusual color due to
anthocyanins. In addition, anthocyanin causes the body's ability
to counter radioactive radiation, so the the cabbage dishes are
advised to eat with radiation sickness and poisoning with heavy
metals. Cyanide which is contained in the leaves of this
vegetable is necessary for the prevention of disease,
Red cabbage lowers blood pressure. Substances what are
contained in it normalizes metabolism.
It has high amount of fiber, which helps clean the body of toxins.
Low red cabbage calorie makes it an integral part of the diet. All
those wishing to lose weight without harm to health is important
to cook and eat red cabbage.
