INTRODUCTION

Solah Training Kit is developed to guide user especially
kids around six to twelve years old on how to perform
solah. This kit is divided into two main courses which is
multimedia learning solah and a device to control the
multimedia software. This device is known as “Smart
Ring For Solah and Al-Quran Reading (SRAS)

Modern technology has change the way we work, i.e. in
studies and learning. People concentrate on their work
but they ignore their real responsibilities to their children
which is to teach and raised them. As a Muslim, solah is
one of the pillars in Islam and it must be taught from the
earlier age. If parents fails to do this, it will results in a
broken community where many of teenager nowadays
were not performing solat when the time has come
because lack of knowledge on how to solat and lack of
practice of solat in daily life.

"Solah Training Kit" is a new innovation aimed in
helping teachers, parents and the public to educate
their children to perform the prayers perfectly as early
as 6 years old. It can also help the public to guide
them in prayer.

"Solah Training Kit" uses Raspberry Pi, wirelessly
controlled by a controller on the user's finger. In
addition, it displays a visual way of prayer in a
multimedia way using devices connected with HDMI
outputs such as monitors, televisions, projectors and
so on.

It is also very practical for people who do not know
the way and reading the prayers. "Solah Training Kit"
can be used as a guidance in worshiping to Allah. In
terms of sharia law, it does not cancel the prayer
because it will only involves a small finger movement.

"Solah Training Kit" can also be used as a guide to
reading long verses of Quran and do not need to use
the big Quran in front of the imam or hold a small
Quran in hand. Imam only needs to use the controller
to flip the electronic Quran sheet during the prayer.

CONNECTION TO RECEIVER
• Plug the USB receiver into an open USB port

on your Raspberyy Pi.
• Your Raspberry Pi operating system will

identify the receiver and install the default
driver.

SYNCHRONIZING SOLAH TRAINING KIT
• The receiver and presenter should synch up

automatically.
• However, in some cases they may not

synchronize properly due to environmental
interference or other causes. If this is the
case, you must re-establish the link.

SAFETY MEASURES

• To avoid possible eye damage, never point
the presenter’s laser at people, especially
their faces, or look directly into the SRAS laser
beam.

• Avoid pointing the SRAS laser beam at a
mirror or other highly-reflective surface.

• Keep the presenter away from young children.
• Never view the SRAS laser beam using

telescopic devices, such as a microscope or
binoculars.
• Any attempt to disassemble, adjust or repair
the SRAS

TROUBLESHOOTING

What do I do if the response time of the
presenter is slow or
it intermittently stops working?
• Make sure that the SRAS is within 33 feet

(10 m) of its receiver.

• Increase the distance between the SRAS
receiver and the base units of other
wireless devices.

• Turn off any wireless devices and their
base units that are near the SRAS
receiver.

• Replace the battery.

• Synchronize the receiver and presenter.
