PETER

PAN

Peter Pan is a fictional character
created by J. M. Barrie. He is a free-spirited
and mischievous young boy who can fly and
never grows up, Peter Pan spends his
never-ending childhood having adventures
on the mythical island of Neverland as the
leader of the Lost Boys, interacting with
fairies, pirates, mermaids, Native
Americans, and occasionally ordinary
children from the world outside Neverland.

“Are all the children chained, so that they cannot fly away?” asked a mysterious
man. “Ay, ay” was replied by someone. “Then hoist them up,” said the mysterious man
again. A girl named Wendy and her siblings named John and Michael along with some
unknown children seem to be facing some trouble as they are getting tied with a rope to
prevent themselves from running away. The mysterious man planned to kill all of the
children by forcing them to walk on a plank and jump into the deep blue sea that is full
of dangerous creatures due to his hatred towards a particular person. However, how
did Wendy and the others get into this critical situation that could endanger their life?
Can they still be saved?

It all began on a peaceful windy night where Wendy Darling and her siblings
were getting ready to sleep. However, before falling asleep they will always listen to a
bedtime story about a magical boy named Peter Pan. Sometimes they claim that they
have seen Peter Pan come to visit inside of their room through the nursery window at
night but of course Mr and Mrs Darling refuse to believe them and insist that it was just
a dream. Nevertheless, they still chose to believe in Peter Pan.

To tell the truth, Peter Pan indeed visits them at night through the nursery
window. The reason why Peter always comes to visit the children is because he loves to
hear the bedtime story about himself. Sometimes, when the nursery window is closed,
he will try to peek inside and indirectly create a shadow of his figure and every time
when the nursery window is open widely, he and his fairy friend named Tinker Bell tends
to set their foot inside of the children's room. However, Peter Pan always visits them
around midnight when the children are already asleep, thus making it harder for them to
see him. Peter came from far away where all the mythical fantasy things are not just an
imagination. His home is called Neverland where he can enjoy adventures and have fun
since he is a little boy who decided never to grow up.

On a dark and peaceful night, while the children were sleeping, there was
another light in the room, a thousand times brighter than the night-lights. It was not
really a light as it made this light by flashing about so quickly, but when it came to rest
for a second you saw it was a fairy. It was a girl called Tinker Bell exquisitely gowned in
a skeleton leaf, cut low and square, through which her figure could be seen to the best
advantage. A moment after the fairy’s entrance, the window was blown open by the
breathing of the little stars, and Peter dropped in. He had carried Tinker Bell part of the
way, and his hand was still messy with the fairy dust. Peter spends a good few minutes
in the children’s room before getting noticed by Wendy. She sat up in bed and was not
alarmed to see a stranger crying on the nursery floor; she was only pleasantly
interested. However, she already knew that the ‘stranger’ was actually Peter Pan. They
continued to have a conversation to get to know each other and soon after, Michael and
John woke up and were shocked to see Peter but they managed to get along with him.
Peter then asked the children to come with him to Neverland and Wendy was delighted
on hearing this. All it took was a wish and a pinch of pixie dust along with a little practice
for the children to learn how to fly. Soon after they got the grasp to fly, they flew away to
Neverland.

Once they arrived at Neverland, they knew for sure that they would love the
place. Neverland was a wonderful place especially for children like Wendy, John and
Michael. There were fairies living in the tree-tops, mermaids swimming in a lagoon, real
red Indians living in a village on a cliff full of animals, and there were ships full of pirates
with a wicked leader named Captain Hook. The children visited Peter’s underground
house and met the Lost Boys who shared Peter’s home. All the Lost Boys were
delighted to see Wendy and wanted her to tell bedtime stories for them. Besides that,
Neverland was full of exciting things to do and you could never get enough with it. The
children would often spend their time playing with the red Indians and become good
friends with them.

The evil pirates with a wicked leader named Captain Hook kidnapped the
daughter of the Red Indian’s chief, Tiger Lily of the Indian Tribe. Her friendship with
Peter leads Captain Hook to believe that she knows where his hideout is and with the
assistance of Smee, Captain Hook kidnaps and takes her to Skull Rock. The Indian
Chief was upset and worried about his daughter, Tiger LIly but Peter Pan came to
rescue her and managed to bring her safely home again. However, this failure made
Captain Hook feel so mad at Peter and wanted to get his revenge by kidnapping
someone that Peter treasured.

This was the moment where
Wendy and her siblings along with
the other Lost Boys had to face a
terrifying life-taking experience.
The children got kidnapped by the
selfish and devilish Captain Hook’s
crews and were being tied up to
prevent them from flying away. Due
to hatred, Captain Hook decided to
capture the children when Peter
was away including Wendy as he
believed that Wendy was a "Princess of Heart". Hook wanted to throw them off from the
ship by making them walk on a plank and jump straight to the deep dangerous sea.
Although they had their life on the line, Wendy still believed that Peter would come to
save them nonetheless.

At the last minute, Peter
came to the pirate ship and
found himself face to face
with Captain Hook. They
looked at each other and
suddenly, the sound swords
clashing filled the entire ship.
Peter was indeed a superb
swordsman and Hook might
be lacking a little bit but he
managed to fight like a
human flail. Despite Hook’s determination to win, Peter managed to beat him and freed
every one of his friends. They scared those bad pirates into jumping overboard and
rowing away in their boat.

Now that they got the pirate ship, Wendy decided that she wanted to go back
home along with her siblings. Although Peter was sad that he might not be able to see
Wendy again after being so fond of her, he still respected her decision to go home. With
a wish and a pinch of pixie dust, the pirate ship was flying in the sky. They all sailed on
the ship through the sky to the nursery window again.

After they bid their
farewell to Peter and
the others, Wendy,
John, and Michael
found the nursery
window was already
opened for them. They
step inside their room
and the youngest one
had already forgotten
his own home after
enjoying being in Neverland. Their parents could hardly believe that their children had
been to Neverland as they thought that it was only a myth.

Although it has been years and
years since they saw Peter Pan, Wendy,
John, and Michael never forgot Peter
even after they grew up.
