I can't say my review isreliable anymore since I heard there were many positive changesin the past few years. However, when I wasthere, the new administration
tooka decent school and completely train wrecked it. The school environment wasabsolutely degrading, both academically and socially. I still encourage
readersto seekopinionsof the school in the past few recent yearsand take my review with a grain of salt.

Starting in 2012, Morey haschanged dramatically, and for the better, expecially since the district hired a new and competent principal. The school isnow
focused on enjoyable academics, hiring talented and engaged teachersand providing fair discipline to the students. Morey isan urban school, and assuch,
diversity isto be expected. If you're looking for a school that truly appreciateshaving your child in their classes, encouragesparent input, gainsfeedbackfrom the
entire community, and providesfundamental teaching standards, then Morey isfor you.

Every single teacher I've had have been amazing. I have grown close with several of them and know I can go backto them if I need it. I cannot name a single
teacher that I didn't like or that I feel didn't teach me well. I've connected to every teacher I've had in some way, but I know many studentsaren't aslucky. I feel
like my AP teachers, more or less, got me prepared for my AP tests. There wasalwaysextra credit work, aswell, to help boost gradestowardsthe end of grading
periods. I find that some of the activitiesthe school offersaren't accessible for all students, so I thinkthat needsto change. I love how there isone lunch period for
the whole school, and I don't feel overwhelmed with that at all. I love going off campusfor lunch. I've never felt particularly unsafe at school. It isin a historically
"unsafe" location, but I've never felt that way, even going off campusfor lunch. There have been timeswhen I've felt uneasy, though.

I love the culture and diversity of the school. I love how they have celebrationsfor each culture and manage to include all studentsin the activities.

Asa Junior at East I absolutely love the student involvement and school spirit. I also truly feel asif there isa place for everyone there, whether that isin sports,
band, theater, roboticsor the many other clubsavailable to all four years. There are plenty of honorsclassesavailable to you since the beginning of your
freshman year and AP classesstarting Sophomore. All of my teachersalso made the transition into online school very easy for me which wasdefinitely a relief
considering that wasa confusing time for all of us. I am definitely a proud Angel!

East High School isvery great school when it comesto classchoiceswhere all studentscan choose what they want to pursue. However from a student viewpoint,
it would be a much better environment if more Studentsof Color were pushed to attend higher level classeslike non-Studentsof Color. East hassuch great sports
teamsaswell and amazing school spirit with thingslike Spirit Weekan the seasonal dances. Overall, it wasan amazing school to attend and I would recommend
it to anyone!

I love the community at East. The teachersare willing to help and want to see their studentsthrive and be successful. Asa community, we talkabout race and
gender, and we have clubsfor people from every background. If there'snot a club there already, you can create one! East combinestradition and modern-day
culture in a lovely blend while all the while focusing on academics. We have student-athletes, singers, writers, musicians, artists, future engineers, and
mathematicians... The list isendless. Even though East isa big school, most studentswill be able to find a group of people that are more like them. Friendly
facesare common to see in the hallwaysof East. East staff and studentsdemonstrate school spirit aswell - taking pride in being an East Angel.
