คุณภาพชีวติ องค์การอนามัยโลกจึงได้รณรงค์ ในเร่ืองนเ้ี ปน็ พิเศษในปี2546 ภายใตค้ ำ�ขวญั “Shape
the Future of life : Healthy Environment for Children” ซงึ่ ในภาคภาษาไทยคอื “ส่ิงเเวดล้อม
สะอาดสดใส เดก็ ไทยเเข็งเเรง” กรมอนามยั ตระหนักดีวา่ เสรมิ สรา้ งสขุ ภาพเปน็ เร่อื งทีต่ ้องปลกู ฝ่งั กันตงั้ เเต่

PREFACE

Children and the good environment It is an essential component of the development of

health and wellness. improving the quality of life The World Health Organization has campaigned
In this regard, specially in 2003 under the motto “Shape the Future of life : Healthy Environment
for Children” which in the Thai language is “The surroundings are clean and bright. Thai children
are strong.” The Department of Health recognizes that health promotion is something that must be
cultivated from a young age. to enhance knowledge and understanding Consciousness as well as
the right behavior from the beginning One type of media that can be used well is picture book for
children which we still have limited The price is expensive and does not cover children in rural
Thailand
Therefore, the Department of Health has a project to publish a children’s book publication
that focuses on on children and the environment in order to have the opportunity to have more
access to children’s picture books and have more basic knowledge about the environment and
health promotion This will help create attitudes and values ​t​hat are conducive to health promotion

and environmental conservation for Thai society in the future.
Thank you to the author, Khun Phisamai Chanthawimol, owner of Mr. In Award, for non-fiction
books, year 2000, for giving 8 books about children and the environment that have not been pub-

lished before. Print and publish free of charge.

Whenever tung ting goes
He carries his house to and fro
Moving his legs and his arms

in his sea sand realm



ยามคล่ืนพัดพา หบุ ขาทันใด
กล้งิ ตัวตามไป ในสายนที

When the wave rolls in
tung ting slip back in his house

whoopee the way he spins
Taking foamy bath on the way out



ตงุ้ ต้ิงเติบโต ทำ�ยงั ไงดี
บา้ นเเคบเหลือที่ อยากมบี า้ นใหม่

Tung Ting grows and grows
His house is too narrow he knows
feeling so tight he wants to find

A new house, best of its kind



เฝ้าเดนิ หาบ้าน คืบคลานท่วั ไป
มองหาบ้านใหญ่ กไ็ มเ่ ห็นมี

Seaching for a new house he crawls
Here and there and all around

Looking for a house that’s fit and fine
Only garbages he sadly finds



เห็นขวดใบหน่งึ จงึ ลองเรว็ ร่ี
ถงึ ไมพ่ อดี กต็ อ้ งลองดู

What a grubby glass house for me
Yet it’s the only things he sees
Tung Ting moves to the new house
Not fitted and awkward to move about



เพ่ือนๆเเปลกใจ บา้ นไมน่ ่าอยู่
เเคบๆอุดอู้ สู้หาใหมก่ ัน

Seeing Tung Ting and his new house
His friends in surprise, crying aloud
What an ugly looking house, so narrow!

Let’s look for new one tomorrow

Tung Ting feels so sorry
He sheds his tears in misery
Helps me, help me I couldn’t find
Though I keep searching all the time

Where have all Tung Ting’s houses gone?
Gone to town people collecting seashells

Taking them away day after day
leaving no house for Tung Ting to stay

เลน่ เเล้วพวกเรา อย่าเก็บไป

Let us take care of Tung Ting
We may collect seashells

Adorn our sand castle so fine
But remember they should be left behind
