HOW TO USE THE POWER CONNECTION GUIDE
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears
us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have
asked of Him. I John 5:14-15
The Power Guide is designed as a tool for study, reflection and prayer. Each prayer is written based on
the model of the Lord’s Prayer (see Matthew 6:9-13).
In order to maximize the use of your guide, please follow the listed instructions.
1. Set aside a few minutes each day to pray individually, with your family or prayer partner(s).
Gradually build your prayer time with the Lord to at least thirty (30) to sixty (60) minutes each
day. You can split up your prayer time, if necessary, and pray a few minutes in the morning
and evening. You choose the time of day that is good for you. Find a comfortable place to
pray and turn off any distractions. If you have small children who need most of your attention,
pray the daily prayer with them. Let God’s Word saturate their hearing.
2. Refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar on page 5 for the specific prayer for the day. Only pray for
the prayer topic that is assigned to that day so that we are unified in our daily praying. Please
do not get ahead of the prayer for the day. Before praying the “Scriptural Prayer,” first read
the scriptures listed for “Scripture Reading.”
3. Pray the assigned prayer out loud. There is power in your verbal expression. Parents, please
encourage your children to pray their prayer topics in the Children’s Power Guide out loud.
Youth (ages 13-17) may use the Adult Power Guide.
4. These prayers are intended to be a springboard to help you with your prayerful conversations.
Trust the Holy Spirit to help you to expand upon the prayer that you are praying for the day.
If you speak in tongues, please pray in tongues over each prayer topic. Relax, listen and enjoy
the Lord.
5. Record any reflections, revelations, or inspiration given by the Holy Spirit in the Prayer
Expectation section at the end of the Power Guide.
6. Believe that the Lord is hearing your prayer and know in your heart that your praying will
produce God’s results for the prayer topic for which you are praying.
7. After praying, make your daily power confession by using the Daily Power Confessions
located on page 37. When you speak God’s Word over your life, you activate the power of His
Word to work in your life and produce God’s results for your life. Expect God’s Word to
transform your life. I also recommend that you speak the Power Confessions over your family.
8. Enjoy your time spent with the Lord and thank you for helping to “take the world by prayer.”
God Bless You!

Prayer Topic #1:
A Prayer of Thanksgiving for the Body of Christ
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 92:1-5, Colossians 3:12-17
Reflections of the Heart:
As children of God, we have an extended family—the Body of Christ. Take time today to thank God
for your spiritual brothers and sisters.
Scriptural Prayer:
Omnipotent Father, we thank You for the members of the Body of Christ. Thank You for giving us
Pastors after Your heart. Thank You for uniting us for Your glory and honor. We exalt You, our God
and King. We will praise Your Name forever and ever. Lord, You are great and most worthy of praise.
No one can measure Your greatness. Each generation will tell its children of Your mighty acts; they
will declare Your power. As Your children, we will meditate on Your majestic, glorious splendor and
Your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; we will tell everyone about
Your greatness. We will share the story of Your wonderful goodness and sing with joy about Your
righteousness.
Glorious Father, we thank You for rescuing us from the kingdom of darkness and transferring us into
the Kingdom of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for engrafting us into Your Holy Family through the
works of Jesus Christ. We once were a people without identity, but You have now made us Your people
who are called Your righteousness. We once were without mercy, but now we have received Your
mercy! Hallel YAH! Thank You for blessing us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm
because we are united with Christ. Thank You for loving and choosing us in Christ to be holy and
without fault in Your eyes, even before You made the world. Thank You for deciding in advance to
adopt us into Your family by bringing us to Yourself through Jesus Christ. We praise You for the glorious
grace You have poured out on us because we belong to Your dear Son. Thank You, Lord, for giving us
another Helper, the Holy Spirit, to teach us and bring to our remembrance all things that You have
spoken. Thank You for blessing the Body of Christ spiritually, physically, financially, socially, and
educationally. Thank You, Lord, for giving us favor in the city, state, and nation. Thank You for Your
grace, mercy and miracles which You have poured out abundantly upon the Body of Christ. Thank You
for calling us to be a light in our community.
Jesus, as a member of Your body, I am thankful to You for:

Holy Spirit, help us to always remember God’s goodness and faithfulness. Help us to remember and
rejoice in those blessings that God has bestowed upon us as the Body of Christ so that we will not grow
complacent and spoiled. Thank You for being our Shepherd, providing all of our needs and not allowing
Your children to be abandoned or our children to beg for bread.
Loving Father, forgive us for not always being appreciative to You for the many blessings You have
bestowed upon us. Forgive those who take Your presence for granted. Forgive those who treat You
irreverently. Forgive those who refuse to share Your blessings with others. Lord, forgive me for (list

any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help
us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.
(Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need
to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal
any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, as the Body of Christ, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Great and marvelous are Your actions, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are Your ways, King of the
nations. Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your Name? You alone are Holy. All nations will come
and worship before You, for Your righteous deeds have been revealed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #2:
A Prayer of Love for God and Our Neighbor
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 113, Matthew 22:35-40, John 15:9-12
Reflections of the Heart:
The fruit of the Spirit is Love. Only as we live in God’s love, can we fulfill His will in our lives. The
believer must become Love-inspired, Love-mastered and Love-driven.
Scriptural Prayer:
Almighty Father, We thank You, Father, that You have not given us Christians the spirit of fear or
timidity, but love and power and self-discipline. Thank You that You have given us the Holy Spirit to fill
our hearts with Your love, so that we may share love with others. We praise You. You are Spirit and
You are Love. You are Creator. We thank You that, as we have received a Kingdom which is
unshakable, we will be thankful and please You by worshipping You with holy fear and awe. King, You
are a devouring fire. We are blessed to know that Your love is more important than ritual.
Wonderful Father, Your living Word discerns the thoughts and intents of the hearts of men and women.
Spoken out of the heart of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the proclamation of Your eternal and
greatest commandment. As Your dear children, we commit to love You with all our hearts, and with all
our souls, and with all our minds. This is the greatest and most important commandment of all. In the
same Spirit, we also commit to love our neighbors as ourselves. We confess that the Holy Spirit fills
and controls us, as we commit to do God’s will. We commit to living a righteous life. We will treat people
with kindness. We will be patient and we will not return evil with evil. We will let our light shine so that
people will see our good works and glorify our Father. We put our all on Your altar, O God, for You
have given us the Holy Spirit who has filled our hearts with love.
How will you show your love for God and for your neighbor by your actions?
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Heavenly Father, equip the saints of the Lord to share His love through patience and kindness. Remind
all believers that love is not jealous, boastful, proud or rude; it is not irritable and keeps no record of
wrongs. Inspire us as Christians to demonstrate God’s love, as given to the world through Jesus Christ,
by never losing faith. Quicken in us the remembrance that prophecy and speaking in unknown tongues
will become useless without love, but love will last forever.
Holy Father, we ask Your forgiveness for our sins, in the Name of Jesus. Forgive us for being irreverent
and apathetic towards You. Forgive us for murmuring and complaining and not showing our love and
appreciation for all that You do for us. Forgive us for being impatient with our neighbor. Father, we
walk by faith and not by sight. As we stand in faith as taught by the Lord Jesus Christ, we seek
forgiveness from any and all persons against whom we have intentionally or unknowingly sinned. Lord,
forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need
to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I
need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that
9
you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust
the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Eternal Lord, You are God alone. You created the heavens and the earth; You put everything in its
place. You made the world to be lived in, not a place of empty chaos. You are the Lord and there is
no other. You only speak what is true and declare only what is right. In Jesus' Name, Amen

A Prayer of Protection for Our Communities During the Pandemic
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 11:4-7, Psalm 91:1-10
Reflections of the Heart:
Until the day Jesus Christ returns, God wants us to live peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in
his sight. – 2 Peter 3:14
Scriptural Prayer:
Wonderful Father, we thank You for Your love and presence. Thank You for Your provision for the
residents of our communities. We thank You, Lord, for safety and protection for every family and
household. Thank You for blessing our communities with Your peace. We, Your people, come before
You clapping our hands and shouting with joy unto You. You are awesome, Lord Most High! You
subdue nations before us and put our enemies under our feet! Father, we thank You for choosing a
promised land for our inheritance. We sing praises to You, our Father, and declare that You are the
King over all of the earth!
Almighty Father, we confess that You are the Light and Salvation for the families in (list the name of
your community), so we will not be afraid. You are our fortress, protecting us from danger so we will
not tremble. We proclaim that our families will live in safety, quietly in our homes and have rest. Peace,
be still! We confess that our community is a blessing to the residents, so we will experience no sorrow
in our homes. We declare that the residents of (list the name of your community) and the surrounding
communities will depart from evil and do good; we will search for peace and work to maintain it. In the
authority given to us by Jesus Christ, we rebuke every spirit of fear, intimidation, theft, vandalism and
destruction from this community. Father, we confess that (list the name of your community) is holy
ground, consecrated and set apart for Your glory and honor. We declare Your peace within the walls
and prosperity within each home. Lord, we confess that no evil will come upon our families; neither will
any plague – including the COVID-19 virus − come near our homes. By faith, we proclaim that the
residents of (list the name of your community) will lie down and sleep in peace in our homes. We
confess that foreclosures will not be an issue in our community, and every homeowner will maintain
their property in excellence.
I will increase in praying for my community in the following areas:
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, we ask You to touch the hearts of those persons who live in (list the name of your
community), and draw them to the Father so that they will confess Jesus Christ and receive Him as
their Savior and Lord. Father, help the residents of our community to comply with CDC guidelines and
take the vaccine, so that we actively protect our health and the health and welfare of our family
members, neighbors and all people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lord, please build a hedge of
protection around our community that cannot be penetrated. Help the residents to walk in love and
unity towards one another. Remind each resident to be concerned for the safety and protection of their
neighbors. Let Your Spirit of love permeate our community. Holy Spirit, unify our community and help
11
the residents to stand up for what is right. Help us to speak against violence, crime and injustice. Holy
Spirit, help those residents who are struggling financially, emotionally, relationally or physically.
Merciful Father, forgive the families of (list the name of your community) for any acts of sinfulness,
including theft, strife, discord, jealousy, rivalries, violence, injustice, hatred, oppression, greed, idolatry,
pride, slander, sexual immorality, lewd behaviors, selfish ambition, abuse of any type, drunkenness,
wild parties, division and other sins like these. Forgive those people in our community who do not trust
in You. Forgive those residents who are Christians for not sharing Your Gospel with neighbors. Lord,
forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to
forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I
need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that
you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust
the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Eternal Lord, You are the blessed and Sovereign One; the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, who
alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man can see. Yours is the Kingdom,
the power and the glory forever and ever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #4:
A Prayer for Living a Balanced Life
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 12, Ecclesiastes 3:1-13
Reflections of the Heart:
COVID-19 has altered the way we live. And this departure from normal life can be tough on us,
especially when we’re socially isolated. Many healthcare experts stress the importance of connection
during the pandemic and suggest that we make time for social interactions, whether online or off. Talk
to the Holy Spirit and have Him help you to establish some balance in this season.
Scriptural Prayer:
Our Father in Heaven, we thank You for sending Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, so that we can
have a rich and satisfying life. Thank You for filling our lives with Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, God, for
restoration, reconciliation and healing in our families. Thank You, for giving us all things that pertain to
life and Godliness. Lord, with our whole hearts, we will praise Your holy Name. Let all that we are
praise You. We bless You, and will remember all of Your benefits. You forgive all our sins and heal all
of our diseases. You redeem our lives from death and crown us with love and tender mercies. You fill
our lives with good things. Our youth is renewed like the eagle’s. You are our Savior, Healer, Deliverer
and Friend.
Awesome Father, Your Word instructs that faith without works is dead, so we confess that we will
develop and demonstrate our Christian faith daily, by living balanced lives. We declare that we are
more than conquerors through Christ. We confess that as we submit to Your Word, we are transformed
by the renewing of our minds so that we live balanced lives. Lord, we decree that our belief systems
and behavior patterns will reflect Your righteousness in our personal and professional lives. Lord, we
confess that Your favor surrounds us like a shield. We declare that our finances are blessed and we
are lenders, not borrowers. Lord, because we realize that the food, we put in our bodies can impact
our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual capabilities, we declare that we will eat healthy foods and
we will include exercise in our daily activities. Above all, we confess that we have victorious futures
because Your plans for us are of hope − filled with good and not evil.
Holy Spirit, please show me the specific areas in my life that are out of balance and help me to
develop strategies to correct these areas:
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, please instruct us in our relationships, careers, studies, work in church ministry and
finances. Help us in planning our days, paying attention to our duties, staying focused on our
assignments, and with establishing priorities in our professional and personal lives. Show each of us
how to organize our calendars and schedules so that we better manage our time. Help us to be obedient
as You order our steps. Strengthen our hearts so that we may walk in holiness before our Father God.
We ask You to fill our homes with Your gentleness, peace, joy, and Godly order. Bless our children to
mature academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Lord, strengthen and encourage any
Christians who feel overwhelmed. Please help us all to maintain balance in our public and private lives.
13
Merciful Father, forgive us for our sins. Please forgive us for not consulting You when setting our
agendas. Forgive us for not taking care of our bodies. Forgive us for being anxious and fretful. Forgive
us for unhealthy, unholy forms of recreation. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have
committed.) Holy Spirit, remind us of those we need to forgive and help us to forgive. As for me, Holy
Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to
reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I
forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by
unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Now to You, the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and
ever. You are worthy, Lord, to receive glory, honor and power. You are Sovereign. You created all
things and for Your pleasure they are and were created. Yours is the Kingdom, power, and glory forever
and ever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #5:
A Declaration of Kingdom Prayer and Faith
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 145; Mark 11:22-24
Reflections of the Heart:
Faith and prayer are the vitamins of the soul; man cannot live in health without them.
~Mahalia Jackson
Scriptural Prayer:
Eternal Father, we thank You for being in relationship with us. As Your children, we thank You for the
opportunity that we have to join together today to pray. Thank You for drawing us into Your Holy family
through the meritorious works of Jesus Christ. Thank You for creating us to be kings of The King and
lords of The Lord. Thank You, Father, for sending us the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us on this faith
walk. The heavens proclaim Your glory and the skies display Your craftsmanship. Lord, we will praise
You with our whole hearts. We will tell of all the marvelous things You have done. We will be filled with
joy because of You. We will sing praises to Your Name, O Most High.
Righteous Father, as citizens of Your Kingdom, we are righteous people who live by faith. We will trust
in You with all of our hearts and not depend on our own understanding. We will seek Your will in all
that we do and, in every situation, we will trust that You will show us which path to take. We will strip
off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. We will run with
endurance the race that You have set before us; keeping our eyes on Jesus, the Champion, who
initiates and perfects our faith. Lord, we confess that we will continue to seek Your Kingdom above all
else, live righteously, and trust that You will give us everything that we need. Father God, we know
that You are not a man that You should lie, nor the son of man that You should repent. So we will stand
on Your Word and put all of our faith and confidence in You. We declare, as Kingdom citizens, that we
will trust You with our finances, families, jobs, businesses, relationships and every other area of our
lives. We confess that our works will reflect the faith that we have in You, our Father.
What actions will I take to increase my faith and prayer life?
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, please help us to relinquish control to You to lead our lives. Help us to transform the way
we think by meditating on the Word, so that we will fully embrace and walk in our Kingdom authority
and rights. As ambassadors, help us make prayer a high priority in our lives, so that Your Kingdom is
advanced. Give us the power to say no to the distractions that keep trying to steal our time with God.
Remind us that nothing is a higher priority than the time we spend every day in prayer. Holy Spirit,
please show us all those areas in our lives where our faith is faltering and reveal the tools that we need
to increase our faith in those areas. Lord, there are some who have had so many disappointments in
life that they have a hard time walking by faith. Holy Spirit, please help them to get the help they need
to process those disappointments and heal those internal wounds so that they can begin to walk in their
Kingdom authority.
15
Compassionate Father, please forgive us for not having complete faith in You at all times. Forgive us
for having more faith in ourselves, our jobs, our finances, our gifts and talents and other people than
we do in You. Forgive us for at times walking in doubt and unbelief. Forgive us for harboring dead
faith. Holy Spirit, remind us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. (Take a
moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.
As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds
in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Triumphant Lord, all glory belongs to You, who alone are God. All glory, majesty, power and authority
are Yours before all time and in the present and beyond all time! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Prayer Topic #6:
A Prayer of Healing for People Diagnosed with Cancer
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 106:1-5, Isaiah 53:4-5
Reflections of the Heart:
In Mark 16:17-18 (NLT), Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out
demons in my name, and they will speak new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with
safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands
on the sick and heal them.” Therefore, as believers, let us do what Jesus did!
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for watching over those persons who have been diagnosed with cancer.
Thank You for Your healing power. Thank You, Lord, for declaring us over-comers by the blood of the
Lamb and by the word of our testimony. Lord, we proclaim Your righteousness and praise all the day
long. Your faithful love endures forever and Your mercies never cease. Great is Your faithfulness.
Who can compare to You? We exalt Your Holy and Righteous Name. You are the Holy One of Israel
who sent Jesus, our Lord and Savior, to redeem all humankind from the curse of the law of sin and
death.
Awesome Father, Your thoughts towards us are of peace and not evil, to give us a future and a hope.
We believe that it is Your will that we live free from all diseases. Lord, by the authority given to us, we
declare that the infirmity of cancer with its many forms and common types - bladder, breast, colon and
rectal, endometrial, leukemia, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, prostate, skin, thyroid and other types - are
destroyed, in Jesus’ Name. We command the primary abnormally deformed cell to die at its root and
the metastasizing cells to cease from spreading throughout the body, especially to the lungs, bones,
liver, brain and lymphatic system. We command the increased production of healthy cells to destroy
renegade cells. Lord, we declare that our members who have been diagnosed with cancer will not die;
but live to tell what You have done. Lord, as a king of the King and a lord of the Lord, I command the
Kingdom domain of healing to manifest in the body of (name the person(s) who need healing from
cancer). I declare that supernatural healing is flowing throughout his/her body, in Jesus Name.
List the names of persons who are battling with cancer. Now, declare this word over their
lives today and encourage them to trust the Lord. Give them a copy of the healing Scriptures
and encourage them to pray them. Healing Scriptures can be downloaded from

Holy Spirit, please reveal the cure for cancer. We ask You to increase the wisdom and knowledge of
medical researchers as they perform cancer studies. We ask You to strengthen those persons who
are being treated for cancer. Increase their endurance and patience as they undergo x-rays,
chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biological therapy, hormone therapy, surgery, cryosurgery and other
procedures. Holy Spirit, comfort and strengthen their family members. Help their family members to
walk in love, peace, patience and faith. Please protect those who have not been touched by cancer.
Destroy any triggers that would create cancerous cells in our bodies. Lord, help us to break poor eating
17
and sleeping habits. Remind us to exercise, eat healthy and get enough sleep. Touch our society to
promote healthy lifestyle practices.
Loving Father, we ask You to forgive the sins of those diagnosed with cancer. Forgive us all for
unhealthy lifestyles and habits. Forgive us for not being good stewards of neither our bodies nor our
children’s. Forgive our nation for promoting unhealthy food and lifestyles. Forgive us for holding
grudges, unforgiveness, resentment, and embedded anger. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that
you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind those who have been diagnosed with cancer to forgive and
help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to
forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may
need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to
heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help those who have been diagnosed with cancer not to yield to temptation but deliver
them from the evil one.
Triumphant Lord, You are our Redeemer. You are the Lord who made all things. You alone stretched
out the heavens and made the earth. Lord, forever Your Word is settled in heaven. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Prayer Topic #7:
A Prayer for Caregivers
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 99, I Corinthians 13
Reflections of the Heart:
“It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life--that no man can sincerely try to help another
without helping himself.” ~ American Poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson
Scriptural Prayer:
Worthy Father, we praise Your wonderful Name. Thank You for those in our Church Family who have
assumed the responsibility as caregiver for a parent or relative. Thank You for Your sufficient grace
which is given to each of them daily. Thank You for working in them and giving them the desire and
power to do what pleases You. We are grateful for their willingness to model Jesus in the way that they
give up their lives to meet the needs of others. Heavenly Father, we have seen You in Your sanctuary
and gazed upon Your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself. How we praise You!
Because You are our Helper, we will sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings. We cling to You. Your
strong right hand holds us securely. How joyful are those of us who fear You, Lord. We delight in
obeying Your commands.
Holy Father, we confess that in Your unsearchable wisdom, You have graced the caregivers in our
Church Family. We declare that they will not get tired of doing good; but that they will persevere until
the appointed time for them to reap their harvest of blessing. As they trust in You to fill them with new
strength, they will soar high on wings of eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and
not faint. They will remain strong and courageous; confident that the sacrifices they are making will be
rewarded. Lord, we decree that even when they plant in tears, they will harvest with shouts of joy. No
matter how challenging the task, they will do everything without complaining or arguing so that no one
can criticize them. As they do this, they will shine like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse
people. We declare that from Your glorious, unlimited resources, You, our Father, will empower them
with inner strength through the Holy Spirit.
Consider those you know who are caregivers and ask the Holy Spirit to help you identify three
ways you can be a blessing to them today:
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, give comfort to those who spend their lives comforting others. Lord, for those who are now
parenting a parent or guardian, please help them to process this role reversal and give them the
strength and wisdom to handle this change without disrespecting their parent or guardian. Remind them
that the Father sees their sacrifices and He will reward them. Encourage them to not neglect their
mental and physical health and help them to find healthy, holy ways to relax. Please send others to
relieve them of their duties so that they can enjoy rest, fun and relaxation. Lord, please help the
caregivers to not grow resentful or angry; but help them to roll their cares upon You and trust that You
will take care of both them and the loved one they are caring for. Remove those who are abusive and
mean-spirited. As a Church Family, show us how we can support the caregivers among us.
19
Gracious Father, forgive those of us who take caregivers for granted. Forgive those who selfishly
overload them with tasks. Forgive those who are caregivers for succumbing to anger and frustration
when they should be patient and tenderhearted. Forgive those caregivers for murmuring and
complaining, and for being inconsiderate. Forgive those who may have been negligent and lazy while
caring for others. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind
our caregivers of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit,
bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal
names and faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive
names of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by
unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help our caregivers not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
O Holy One of Israel, You are King! Let the nations tremble. You sit on Your throne between the
cherubim. Let the whole earth quake! You sit in majesty in Jerusalem, exalted above all the nations.
We exalt You and bow low before Your feet, for You are holy! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #8:
A Prayer for Mature Adults
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 16:5-11, Titus 2:1-5
Reflections of the Heart:
We live in a society that celebrates youthfulness and looks down upon getting older. Billions of dollars
are spent on products and procedures to keep people looking and feeling young. Our elders have seen
things we couldn’t even imagine and survived things we could never comprehend facing. They are filled
with wisdom and experience that our society needs. Take some time to pray for the mature adults in
your life. Let us not forget them.
Scriptural Prayer:
Gracious Father, we thank You for our mature adults. Thank You for blessing each day of their lives.
Thank You for blessing them with an abundance of Your wisdom and knowledge. Thank You for
providing for their spiritual, emotional, financial and physical needs. Loving Father, we praise Your
Name. We praise You because You are good. We will celebrate Your lovely Name with music. We
know Your greatness and that You, our Lord, are greater than any other god. Your Name, O Lord,
endures forever; Your fame is known to every generation. You are righteous in everything that You do;
You are filled with kindness. You are close to all who call upon You in truth. You grant the desires of
those who fear You; You hear their cries for help and rescue them. We praise You, Lord; may everyone
on earth bless Your holy Name forever and ever.
Eternal Father, we confess that the older men in our Church Family will exercise self-control, are worthy
of respect and live wisely. They have strong faith and are filled with love and patience. We declare that
our mature women are honorable and righteous. They are not slanderous or heavy drinkers. Instead,
we confess that they will teach others what is good; they will train the younger women in our Church
Family to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to
do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. We decree that our mature men are models of God’s
strength and faithfulness and they will teach our young men to respect authority, provide for their wives
and children, live wisely, lead with compassion and fairness, and love their wives like Christ loves the
church. We declare that our mature adults will continue to flourish like palm trees and grow strong like
the cedars of Lebanon. Even in old age, they will still produce fruit and remain vital and green.
Holy Spirit, we know that some of our mature adults are lonely; please help us as a Church Family to
reach out to them and surround them with the love of the Father. Impress upon their family members
to come and visit them and spend quality time with them. Please help us to identify those who have
isolated themselves and show us how to effectively meet their needs. Lord, mature adults have worked
hard all of their lives and some of them have seen their retirement funds depleted. Please open up
new revenue streams so that they will not have to struggle or go without financially. Father, protect
them from those who would try to prey upon them with get-rich-quick schemes, unnecessary mediation,
predatory loans or any other schemes to steal from them. Increase their discernment and wisdom
when they make decisions, especially where their health and finances are concerned. Remind our
younger generations to regard our mature adults with honor and respect.
21
Write down the names of mature adults that you know. Now, write down ways that you can
enrich or bless their lives:

________________________________________________________________________________
Merciful Father, forgive us as a nation for disregarding and disrespecting our mature adults. Forgive us
for viewing mature adults as feeble and disposable. Forgive those mature adults who don’t depend
completely upon You, but look at their circumstances. Forgive those who have allowed life to cause
them to grow bitter and angry. Forgive those individuals who do not check on or intentionally do not
spend time with their older relatives. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).
Holy Spirit, remind our mature adults of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.
As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the
Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them,
say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused
by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, remind our mature adults not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
Triumphant Lord, there is no one like You! You are great, and Your Name is full of power. Who would
not fear You, O King of the nations? That title belongs to You alone! All glory majesty, power and
authority are Yours before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #9:
A Prayer for People Who Are Homeless
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 126, Matthew 25:34-40
Reflections of the Heart:
The majority of us will never know what it is like to not have a safe, secure place to go home to.
Unfortunately, for far too many Americans, homelessness is an everyday reality. The biggest tragedy
is how many of those homeless are children and youth. Take time to thank God for the blessing of
shelter that He has afforded you; but also take time and pray for those who are currently out in the
elements without shelter.
Scriptural Prayer:
Righteous Father, we thank You for being a God of grace and mercy. Thank You for knowing each
homeless person and family intimately. Thank You for being their protection, shelter, hope and help.
The heavens proclaim Your Glory, Lord. The skies display Your craftsmanship. Day after day they
continue to speak; night after night You are made known. Father, Your instructions are perfect, reviving
the soul. Your decrees are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Your commandments are right,
bringing joy to the heart. Your commands are clear, giving insight for living. Reverencing You is pure,
lasting forever. Your laws are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest
gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.
Glorious Father, we confess that Your arm is not too weak to save the homeless, neither is Your ear
deaf to hear their calls. Lord, You know each of them and call them by name. You know everything
about them, when they sit down and when they stand up. You know their thoughts even when they are
far away. We rejoice Mighty King, because You said You will never fail nor abandon them. Lord, You
said that the poor will always be among us, but You also mandated that we take care of them. You
said that we are to share our food with the hungry, give shelter to the homeless, and give clothes to
those who need them and to not hide from our relatives who need our help. We declare that, as
believers, we will commit to feeding the hungry and helping those who are in trouble. Lord, then You
will guide us continually, give us water when we are dry and restore our strength.
Holy Spirit, show me how I can be a blessing to the homeless community in Houston:
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, we ask that You would be a wall of protection and deliverance around the homeless daily.
Watch over them while they sleep and protect them from violence, abuse, and theft. Lord, we cry out
on behalf of the children whose families are homeless. Help them to overcome their bleak beginnings
and show them how precious they are in Your sight. Help them to focus and study so that they will
excel in school. Encourage them when other children say mean things about them because of their
circumstances. Holy Spirit, change the hearts of the leaders of our country who continue to ignore the
plight of the homeless, yet they pursue greed and avarice. Lord, for those who are homeless because
of an addiction or mental illness, please help them to find the help they need so that they can get their
lives back in order and begin to rebuild. Father, bless all the Global and Local Missions and Outreach
23
ministries around the world as they serve those in need. Please continue to empower and provide for
our Churches financially so that we have the resources to battle this cultural atrocity.
Merciful Father, forgive those homeless persons whose poor decisions have led to their current
situation. Forgive those who are homeless due to drugs, alcohol, gambling, addictions, or poor work
habits. Forgive those people who would seek to take advantage of the homeless. Forgive those who
look down upon the homeless. Forgive those of us who have resources to give to the homeless but
refuse to give. Forgive those agencies who claim to be advocates for the homeless, but misappropriate
the resources. Forgive our nation for creating systems that produce a homeless population. Lord,
forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind the homeless of those
they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my
remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or
faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of
person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help the homeless not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, where is there anyone as mighty as You? You are entirely faithful.
You are far more awesome than all who surround Your throne. Your home reaches up to the heavens,
while its foundation is on the earth. You draw water up from the oceans and pour it down as rain on the
land. The Lord is Your Name! You are mighty, but You do not despise anyone! You are mighty in both
power and understanding. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #10:
A Declaration of Restoration of the American Family
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 95:1-7, Ephesians 5:21-33, Ephesians 6:1-4
Reflections of the Heart:
The family unit is the backbone of any society. When the family break downs, society has no foundation
upon which to stand. Let us exercise our authority and begin to declare that the American family will
once again be restored and reflect the Kingdom of God.
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, our souls honor You. Thank You for our family relationships. We thank You for Your
peace umpiring our familial relationships and interactions. Lord, we thank You for fulfilling Your plans
and purposes in our lives and for surrounding us with favor like a shield. Thank You for blessing us
continually with Your loving-kindness and tender mercies. Lord, Your mercy endures forever. You are
great and Your power is absolute. Your understanding is beyond comprehension. We love You and
extol Your Holy Name. Out of the mouths of babes and infants, You have ordained strength. What are
mere mortals that You should think of them, human beings that You should care for them?
Omnipotent Father, we acknowledge that we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies for our
families, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark
world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, we gird ourselves with the full armor
of God as we fight for the restoration of families in the United States of America. We rebuke every
enemy that is coming against our families including: domestic violence, divorce, adultery, incest,
selfishness, poor communication and broken homes. For the first time in recorded history, there are
now more single adults than married adults. We understand that not all are called to be married, but
we rebuke the spirits of pride, stubbornness, fear and greed that prevent those who are supposed to
be married from fulfilling their purpose. Lord, You told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply; to fill
and subdue the earth and to have dominion. Lord, it is Your will that the people created in Your image
be in charge here and not the forces of darkness.
List those families that you know are in trouble and ask the Holy Spirit how you can pray for
them:
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, help us, as a nation, to make the family a priority again. Help parents to stop being so
focused on material items, that they fail to spend time with their children and impart Godly self-esteem
and emotional stability into them. Remind us that God’s Word should be our guide and not the norms
and customs of the world. Help our parents to stop allowing the television, internet or video games to
raise their children, but instead to spend time with their children and impart Godly values and wisdom
into them so that when they have grown up, they will not depart from Your ways. Help our married
couples to honor one another and not take each other for granted. Keep the lines of communication
open in these marriages so that the marriage bed will not be defiled. Help our married couples to honor
their marriage vows and not be so quick to look for a way out when things get difficult.
25
Merciful Father, please forgive our American families for sin. Forgive us for allowing our jobs to be a
greater priority than our families. Forgive us for taking our loved ones for granted. Forgive us for not
praying for our family members consistently. Forgive us for strife, anger, envy, jealousy, adultery and
for verbal or physical abuse within our homes. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have
committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.
Holy Spirit, help our families not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Sovereign Lord, You are King! You are robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands
firm and cannot be shaken. Your throne has stood from time immemorial. You are from the everlasting
past. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #11:
A Declaration of Kingdom Financial Blessings
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 113, Malachi 3:6-12
Reflections of the Heart:
“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full−pressed down, shaken together to make
room for more, running over, and poured into your lap.” ~ Luke 6:38
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your eternal love and unmerited grace. We thank You for Your
love for us that never ceases and Your mercy which never comes to an end. Your mercies are new
every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Thank You, Father, for being our strength, our shield, our
provider and our Savior. You are great and You do wondrous things. You are God alone. Lord, You
are in Your Holy temple; You are on Your heavenly throne. To You, O God do we give thanks. Yes,
to You do we give thanks. We extol You, our God, O King; and we bless Your Name forever and ever.
Righteous Father, as Kingdom citizens, it is Your will that we excel in the area of our finances. We
recognize that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Therefore, we will earn, save, spend and
invest money in obedience to Your perfect plan for our lives and our families. We confess that as You
bring financial blessings into our lives, we will remember that it is You who gives us the power to get
wealth so that the covenant which You swore to our fathers will be established and we will be positioned
as instruments to build Your Kingdom. Father, we confess that all that we set our hands to do is blessed
because You have commanded blessings on our storehouses, including savings, investments and
retirement accounts. Lord, we declare that as Your blessings overtake us, we will be able to lend money
to many and not have to borrow from anyone. We confess that as we bring our tithes and offerings into
Your house, we are expecting You to pour out blessings that we will not have room to receive and You
will rebuke the devourer for our sakes.
Holy Spirit, show me what I need to do so that I can be a better steward of the resources I have
been blessed with:
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, we ask that You shift our focus from spending to saving and from consuming our income to
building wealth. Help our Kingdom citizens to bind mercy and truth around our necks and write them
on our hearts; causing us to have favor in Your sight and in the sight of man. Lord, help us to study
Your Word, to meditate on it day and night and observe to do the things written within it so that we may
make our way prosperous and have good success. Holy Spirit, help us to build business and personal
relationships with other Christians. Help us to begin to love people and use money, rather than loving
money and using people. We pray for a breaking of old mindsets and generational curses of poverty
and lack within the families of our congregation.
Forgiving Father, forgive us for our sins. Forgive us for repeating patterns of financial failures such as
living beyond our means and misusing credit cards. Forgive those in our congregation and our
communities for our heavy dependence on payday loan outlets and pawn shops. Forgive us for failing
27
to develop financial plans that include debt reduction, savings and investments. Father, forgive us for
walking by sight, rather than walking in faith. Forgive many of us for entertaining thoughts that we are
supposed to have the most of the worst and the least of the best. Forgive those in our congregation
who have refuse to make court-ordered child support payments. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins
that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be
quick to forgive.
Yours, God, is the power and the glory. Yours, O Lord, is the victory and the majesty. All that is in
heaven and earth is Yours. Yours is the Kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all. In
Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #12:
A Declaration of Freedom
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 113:2-6, 2 Corinthians 3:17
Reflections of the Heart
“Freedom and justice cannot be parceled out in pieces to suit political convenience. I don’t believe
you can stand for freedom for one group of people and deny it to others.” ~ Coretta Scott King
Spiritual Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You, O God! We give thanks because you are near. People everywhere
tell of Your wonderful deeds. Lord, we thank you and praise your glorious Name! Everything we have
has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us! Thank You, Holy Spirit, for
empowering us to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ and being God’s guarantee for the inheritance
He promised. Because of You, this guarantee includes that we have been purchased to be His own
people. Hallel YAH! Father God, we praise You, our Savior. Each day, You carry us in Your arms;
You are the God who saves.
Mighty God, Your Word says that we have not received a spirit that makes us fearful slaves; instead,
we have received Your Spirit when You adopted us as Your children. We confess that the same Holy
Spirit who resurrected Jesus from the dead now dwells within us. It is the Holy Spirit who gives life to
our mortal bodies, just as He gave life to Christ and raised Him from the dead. Yet what we suffer now
is nothing compared to the glory You will reveal to us later. For we wait eagerly for that future day when
You will reveal who Your children really are. You freed the Israelites from Egypt, the Jews from the
Holocaust and the American Negro from slavery, for which many states now celebrate on June 19th.
We declare that these are forerunners to a future that will guide us toward justice and freedom for all
regardless of race, creed, gender or ethnicity.
List how you will commit to praying for our nation:
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, as we celebrate our liberty at special times throughout the United States, remind us of those
who struggled before us to ensure freedom. Even as we honor days like June 19th and what it stands
for, give us the courage to acknowledge and destroy racism, so that we are able to obey the
Commandment to love one another. Prevent any works of evil that would hinder us from being just and
fair, doing what is right and good and carrying out the Lord’s original plans and purposes for our lives.
Help all people to seek Your wisdom and allow You to direct their paths as they do their part in reforming
our nation. Holy Spirit, we pray that the Body of Christ will rise up in leadership to demonstrate God’s
love as our nation works to identify and replace racism and oppression of any kind with justice and
righteousness.
Merciful Father, forgive us for not completely yielding control of our lives to You. Forgive those who do
not stand for justice and righteousness for all people. Forgive Christian leaders who fail to teach
believers Your Word about how You look upon the hearts of all people and not upon their physical
human characteristics. Forgive our nation for all acts of sinfulness. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins
29
that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick
to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment
and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As
He shows you, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in
your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
How great are You, O Lord! Your power is absolute! Your understanding is beyond comprehension!
You are mighty, but You do not despise anyone! You are mighty in both power and understanding.
Wealth and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything. Power and might are in Your
hand, and at Your discretion people are made great and given strength. In the mighty and wonderful
Name of Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, we pray. Amen.

Prayer Topic #13:
A Prayer for the United States Economy
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 8, Psalm 37:1-19
Reflections of the Heart:
God believes in economic development. He wants a nation to flourish. Psalm 33:12 states, “Blessed is
the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” Let us pray
today for our nation’s economy!
Scriptural Prayer:
Gracious Father, we thank You for being faithful to the United States of America throughout our history.
Thank You for blessing us to prosper and to grow from generation to generation. Thank You for keeping
our nation through our economic hardships and financial conflicts. You have been merciful, Lord. This
whole earth, everything in it, and the people who inhabit it belong to You, O God. It is You who supplies
us with abundance. It is You who sustains us in times of lack. Your instructions are perfect, they revive
our souls. Your commandments are clear and right. They give us insight for living. We, Your children,
delight in them and love to meditate on them day and night. We are grateful that You are willing to bear
the heavy burdens of our nation so that we are free to worship You and receive rest. Dear Father, it is
You who strengthens our nation and holds us up with Your victorious right hand!
Holy Father, we stand in the authority of Jesus’ Name, rebuking the principalities and powers that are
inciting conflict and destruction in our nation’s businesses, banks, oil and gas industry, and every other
financial entity that contributes to our national economy. We command our economic infrastructure to
stabilize and align to Your will, Lord. We confess that the hope of our nation’s citizens will no longer
be deferred. Lord, we declare that You will continue to raise up people within our nation’s financial
leadership who have a supernatural anointing like Joseph’s to receive, interpret, and administrate
visions that will save companies, restore jobs, and open new opportunities in stagnant sectors of our
economic markets. All-Knowing Father, we decree that Your solution will be sought and revealed in
the earth to justify American jobs and encourage innovation and global competitiveness among
domestic corporations, giving priority consideration to United States taxpayers.

Glorious Father, we pray that Your generous outpouring of wisdom, discernment, and divine
understanding will be gladly received by all local, state, and national economic and governmental
leaders. Holy Spirit, we ask You to strategically assign men and women who are fully equipped to
reveal creative ideas and effective methods to the current presidential economic team. Show them
how to decrease our national deficit while continuing to provide the necessary standards, services, and
benefits to the American people. Holy Spirit, please revive the Body of Christ and remind us of who we
are − the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Give us divine motivation to boldly declare the Word
of God so that those who have become captives of this world’s system can be liberated. Help us, as a
31
nation, to reconnect to the Living God as our source and supply, and remove any thoughts of doubt,
fear, or dismay.
Loving Father, we repent on behalf of our nation for our many sins. We acknowledge that many of us
played an active role in causing the downturn of our economy. Forgive us for greed, arrogance,
selfishness, and oppression of the poor. Forgive our CEOs for overcompensating themselves and
placing their employees and companies in jeopardy in order to maintain their lavish lifestyles and greedy
appetites. Forgive those consumers who acted out of impulse and impatience and made unwise
choices, landing them and their families in tremendous debt. Merciful Father, please forgive our nation
for being selfish, reckless, and irresponsible with the blessings You intended to be handed down to the
generations following us. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit,
remind the citizens of our nation of those they need to forgive and help us all to be quick to forgive. As
for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the
Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them,
say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused
by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us, as a nation, not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Omnipotent God, how great are Your riches and wisdom and knowledge! You are the God who does
great things too marvelous to understand. It is You who performs countless miracles. We praise You,
Lord! Let everyone on earth bless Your holy Name forever and ever! Everything comes from You and
exists by Your power and is intended for Your glory. All glory to You forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #14:
A Prayer for Our U.S. Military Personnel
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 117, Psalm 18:31-50
Reflections of the Heart:
Self-centeredness is the essence of the worldliness in wars. Humility is the opposite of the proud
selfishness and self-centered ambition which characterizes this present evil warring age. Therefore,
let us seek peace, for the seed of the righteous, even in our military, will conquer the gates of the
wicked.
Scriptural Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for our U.S. Military personnel. We thank You for blessing our armed
forces throughout history. We thank You for making our nation a mighty power in the world. Thank You
for our men and women who are returning home from Afghanistan. Lord, we praise and honor Your
Name. Your Name is the Lord and we rejoice before You. You have been our home through all the
generations. We praise You, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and
amen! O Lord, what a variety of things You have made. In wisdom, You have made them all. The
earth is full of Your creatures. Lord, You are a faithful, loving and compassionate God and we bless
You.
Righteous Father, we declare that You are the light and salvation of our military personnel; they will not
be afraid. You are their fortress and their protection from danger; they will not tremble. Any enemy or
foe who comes to attack them will stumble and fall. Our soldiers will trust in You with all of their hearts
and they will not depend on their own understanding. They will seek Your will in all that they do, and
we know that You will show them which path to take. We declare that our military personnel are blessed
and highly favored. They will submit themselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from them. With
the authority given to us, we cancel the assignment of anxiety, depression, anger, fear and confusion
and declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We command God’s order to prevail
within the Veteran Affairs system.
List the name(s) of the active or inactive military veteran(s) you know and insert their name(s)
in the prayer:

Worthy Father, please continue to provide for the families of those soldiers who have been deployed to
war. Holy Spirit, help our veterans who have returned home to process all they have experienced. Heal
any physical and emotional wounds. Please help them with their familial, social, and professional
relationships. Lord, we ask that the wait times for appointments at the VA Hospitals will be shortened
and that each veteran will be treated with dignity and respect. Holy Spirit, please give our government
officials the wisdom on how to cut down on the red tape that ensnares so many veterans from receiving
all of the benefits they are entitled to. As a nation, help us to not overlook or discount the sacrifices our
military veterans have made for the freedom of our nation.
33
Forgiving Father, please forgive our active and inactive military personnel for their sins. Forgive them
for lying, cheating, stealing, slander, strife, malice, envy, jealousy, selfishness, disobedience and
rebellion. Forgive our nation for hypocrisy, slander, greed, racism, injustice, elitism, hatred, and
violence. Father, forgive the media for misrepresenting the truth. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins
that you have committed.) Holy Spirit, remind our active and inactive military personnel of those they
need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance
those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people
that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now,
trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help our active and inactive military personnel not to yield to temptation but deliver them
from the evil one.
Lord, You reign. You dwell between the cherubim; let the earth be moved. You are great in Zion and
high above all people. Your name is so great and awesome. You are Holy. Yours is the kingdom, the
power and glory, forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #15:
A Prayer for Justice and Righteousness in the United States
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 135:1-7, Isaiah 51:4-5,7-8
Reflections of the Heart:
Our Lord is a God of justice! Blessed are all those who wait for Him. ~Isaiah 30:18
Scriptural Prayer:
Eternal Father, we thank You for being the just Judge. Thank You for surrounding the American citizens
with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Thank You for moving on the hearts of Your people
to establish peace, justice and righteousness in the earth. Lord, we will praise You with all of our hearts.
Your love for us is so very great, we will give glory to Your Name forever!
Immortal Father, we command justice to run down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream
within our nation’s judicial, economic, educational, social, medical, governmental, and spiritual systems.
As the Body of Christ, we renounce the gods of racism, sexism, and ageism. We confess that justice
and righteousness will prevail in our nation, homes, workplaces, churches, schools and communities.
Lord, we believe that You will raise us above the acts of injustice and unrighteousness. You are the
Lord who loves all of humankind; You are no respecter of persons. Lord, You created us in Your image
and it is Your desire that we, Your creation, love each other as we love ourselves. And because Your
Spirit dwells within us, the Body of Christ, we confess that we will walk in righteousness and integrity.
We will not discriminate against anyone because of their race, their sex, or their age. We will not pay
back evil with more evil, but we will always do things in such a way that everyone can see that we are
honorable.
Holy Spirit, as I listen to the media, I will continue to pray for justice regarding:

________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, we pray for all victims of injustice within the judicial system of America. Bring truth and
revelation to their cases and release those who have been wrongfully imprisoned. Please help our
nation to heal from the wounds that the recent instances of injustice have inflicted on the American
people. Remind the members of the Body of Christ to not sin by letting anger control them. Grant each
of us the desire and commitment to daily walk in Your justice and righteousness without prejudice or
partiality. Deal with the hearts of those Christians who practice this ungodliness. Remind them to walk
in Your Spirit and not in their flesh. Guide parents on how to talk with their children about injustice in a
way that will not instill fear, anger, hatred or unforgiveness. Holy Spirit, I ask that You search my heart
for areas of hidden discrimination or bias and remove it immediately from me.
Abba Father, forgive us for any acts of racism, sexism, and ageism. Forgive our nation for its injustice,
prejudice, and oppression. Forgive our nation for loving power and things more than people. Please
forgive those persons who are presently practicing racism, sexism, and ageism. As the Body of Christ,
we renounce the gods of racism, sexism, and ageism. Forgive me, Father, for not acknowledging that
when I make blanket statements about race, sex, or age that I am discriminating. Father, forgive me
for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive
35
and help us to be quick to forgive.
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Triumphant King, You are greater than any other god. You do whatever You please throughout all
heaven and earth, and on the seas and in their depths. You cause clouds to rise over the earth. You
send lightning with the rain and release the winds from Your storehouses. Your Name, Lord, endures
forever, Your fame is known to every generation. Yours, Lord, is the Kingdom, the power, and the
glory, forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
