THE SPRING FEASTS 2019 OVERVIEW
http://b.link/FeastFacts
And the Lord spoke to Moses saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: the feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts.” Leviticus 23:1-2
The Spring Feasts consist of four festivals:
• Passover (Pesach [PAY-sock])
• The Feast of Unleavened Bread
• The Feast of First Fruits
• Pentecost (Shavuot [sha-voo-OAT] or The Feast of Weeks).
These festivals are extremely important because in them we see Jesus revealed, and as we celebrate, we honor God as our Savior, who has redeemed His people “with a powerful arm and great acts of judgment” (Exodus 6:6). In addition, the festivals teach us about God’s provision for us and His plan for humankind and how He powerfully intervenes on our behalf because of His great love for us!
PASSOVER “Pesach”
The LORD’s Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. (Leviticus 23:5)
Passover begins at sundown, April 19, 2019 and ends at sundown, April 20, 2019. This festival celebrates the deliverance of the Hebrew People from Egyptian slavery through Moses, and humanity’s deliverance from slavery to sin and death through Jesus Christ. Passover is primarily celebrated at a special meal called the “Passover Seder.” [SAY-der]
Originally, God established the feast to be shared with family and friends around a festive meal at home. The Pastors Caldwell will host the Windsor Village Church Family Virtual Seder on Friday, April 19th at 7 PM. Members will host their own Seder Dinners in their homes and tune in to the Virtual Seder via Facebook Live. During the broadcast, the pastors will lead the congregation through the worship liturgy (found in the Home Haggadah [ha-GAH-dah] ) as we eat the symbolic foods of Passover in the comfort of our own homes. Members can visit the “Passover Pop-Up Shop” after each Worship Celebration to purchase grape juice and matzah, register their home celebrations, find a host family and more. (Everything you need to know about Passover preparation can be found in our WVCF Home Haggadah; LINK: http://b.link/HomeHaggadah )
THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD
The Feast of Unleavened Bread begins the day after Passover and continues for seven days (sundown, April 20, 2019 – sundown, April 27, 2019). During this weeklong festival nothing with leaven in it is to be eaten. Abstaining from leavening agents for seven days symbolically demonstrates our desire to live holy lives before God, since leaven is often associated with sin in the Bible. The Lord requires us to clean out our homes of any food products that contain leaven, yeast, baking powder, baking soda, or sodium bicarbonate. Foods with leaven include breads, most cereals, cakes, pies, crackers, and soups. Read the labels on all of your foods, especially in the pantry and freezer. A list of foods containing leaven is listed on page 11, or it can be obtained
On the fifteenth day of that month the LORD’s Festival of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread
made without yeast. On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. For seven days present a food
offering to the LORD. And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. (Leviticus 23:6-8)

online at http://b.link/FeastFacts. All leaven should be removed from our homes, and a final inspection made by the head of the household, by no later than sundown, April 20, 2019.
Additionally, throughout the feast the Lord commands us to bring a special sacrificial offering each day (not your tithe) beginning sundown, April 20th thru sundown, April 27th. You may give your offering during the weekend worship services, at Victory Wednesday Bible study, by using the use mobile app, the KBC computer kiosks, or mail to: WVCF; Attention: Financial Office; 6011 West Orem Drive; Houston, Texas 77085
The Feast of Unleavened Bread concluding Worship Celebration will occur on April 27, 2019 as a part of the regular 6:00 p.m. service.
THE FEAST OF FIRST FRUITS
On the day of First Fruits, Sunday, April 21, 2019 (Resurrection Sunday), the Church Family will bring a special, one-time offering to the Lord. This offering represents the “first fruits” of any financial income since the Feast of Tabernacles (September 2018). In Leviticus, the first sheaves of the barley harvest were waved before the Lord as an offering of thanksgiving for His provision. In I Corinthians 15:23, Jesus is considered the First Fruit of those who have died waiting on the promised Messiah. In Him the sting of death is defeated! This feast was fulfilled when Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father. For Christians, First Fruits is particularly important because it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
COUNTING OF THE OMER
You shall count for yourselves -- from the day after the Sabbath, from the day when you bring the Omer of the waving -- seven Sabbaths, they shall be complete. Until the day after the seventh Sabbath, you shall count, fifty days... (Leviticus 23:15-16.)
God instructed His people to count the days between Passover and the Feast of Pentecost (see Leviticus 23:16). This 50-day period is known as “Counting of the Omer,” which reminds us of the link between Passover and Pentecost, which celebrates the Giving of the Law in the Hebrew Scriptures (Torah) and the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. An "Omer" [OH-mer] is a unit of measurement for grain in ancient Israel. Counting the Omer began with the symbolic offering of an omer, or sheaf, of barley (i.e., "First Fruits") in the Temple and continued up until the day before an offering of wheat was brought to the Temple on the day of Pentecost or Shavuot [sha-voo-OAT]. Use the Omer “Count-Down Calendar” on page 13 below to assist in your celebration of this important “in between time.” Also, watch for special “Counting the Omer” instructions in the upcoming Prayer & Study Guides, beginning April 20/21, 2019.
The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you and
you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest. 1He is to wave the sheaf before the LORD so
it will be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.... This is to be a lasting ordinance
for the generations to come, wherever you live. (Leviticus 23:9-14)

THE FEAST OF PENTECOST “Shavuot”
The Feast of Pentecost (or the Feast of Weeks) celebrates the giving of the Torah (the first five books of the Bible), and the universal outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament. This feast is to be filled with joy and thanksgiving for God’s bountiful harvest blessings. During the celebration of Pentecost believers will bring the first fruits of any financial income since the Passover. Traditionally, this offering was the “the latter first fruit offering” of wheat and gave thanks for God’s continuing provision. The Church Family will offer its special latter first fruits monetary offerings (not your tithe) during the Pentecost Worship Celebration, Saturday, June 8, 2019, 6:00 p.m. (You may, of course, also give your offering via the Windsor app, at the computer kiosks in the KBC, or by mail.)
Also, it is tradition to eat dairy products during Pentecost because the law was compared to milk and honey. When the Israelites were awaiting the arrival of their new commandments and were unsure as to what their new dietary laws would be, they ate only dairy products and vegetables. Eating cheesecake and blintzes is a particular favorite during this feast. During this time, you may also choose to decorate your home with flowers and greenery, which represent the latter spring harvest and the Law as a “tree of life.”
“God’s Holy Days”
As our Church Family prepares to celebrate the Spring Feasts, consider scheduling the following days off from work. In Leviticus 23, God instructs the Israelites to “do no customary work” on specific days associated with the feasts because He considers them Holy days. The general interpretation of “no customary work” is taking the day off from your job or any activity that contributes to your income. Any work that is done in preparation of the feast is acceptable. The Lord understands if you have to work, but if you can, take the day off to enjoy the Lord and your family.
Remember, all Holy days begin at sundown the evening before the calendar date listed.
Then celebrate the Festival of Weeks to the LORD your God by giving a freewill offering in proportion to the blessings the LORD your God has given you. (Deuteronomy 16:10)

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE FEAST OF UNLEAVENED BREAD
The observance of the Feast of Unleavened Bread offers us an intentional time to “spring clean” our lives. As we celebrate Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread we are inviting God to help us choose a life free from habitual and willful sin (represented by the leaven), and to live into the “joy of our salvation!”
SO, LET’S GET THE LEAVEN OUT! You may eat leavened products through the afternoon of Saturday, April 20, 2019. However, please begin to remove them from your home (by eating or discarding them), now thru Friday, April 19, 2019. By sundown on the evening of April 20, 2019, all leavened products should absolutely be out of your home and not eaten for the next seven (7) days. You may begin to purchase and consume them again after sundown on April 27th.
I. What is Leaven?
Leaven is yeast or any “fermenting” substance used to make dough or other foods rise or sour. Some yeast derivatives are added to foods for flavor or nutritional purposes. The rules of leavening also apply to foods prepared from five types of grain: barley, wheat, rye, oats and spelt.
Removing food products that contain leaven (yeast, baking soda, baking powder, sodium bicarbonate, autolyzed yeast, & yeast extract) has its roots in ancient Passover preparation. Thirty days before the Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread, the women of every household began removing all leaven (known as “chametz” in Hebrew) from their homes. Removing leaven is a spiritual as well as a physical cleansing. Jesus spoke of leaven as a symbol of sin in the gospels (i.e., Luke 12:1), and the apostle Paul did likewise in I Corinthians 5:6-8.
II. Instructions for Removing Leavened Food Products
The Lord requires us to clean our homes of any food products that contain any kind of leaven: yeast, baking powder, baking soda, sodium bicarbonate, autolyzed yeast, or yeast extract. Also, traditionally most foods that contain wheat, barley, rye, oats, or spelt, except for matzah, are refrained from during Passover, as they are often processed in mills where leaven is present. Foods with leaven include most breads, cereals, cakes, pies, crackers, and soups. Read the labels on all of your foods, especially in the pantry and freezer. You may be surprised about the foods that contain leaven. It is easy to identify packaged foods that are usable during the Feast of Unleavened Bread by looking for product packages bearing one of these symbols: or "OU Kosher for Passover."
The general idea is to symbolize a purified life in Jesus by “eating clean” for the 7 days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. This diet is also a healthier way to eat.
III. Here are some examples of foods to keep in your home:
All fresh fruits, vegetables, 100% fruit juices, milk, eggs, unflavored nuts, peas, beans, rice, quinoa, matzah, good quality meats, and packaged foods with the or “OU Kosher for Passover” symbols. Most major grocery stores in the Houston area now have a Kosher food section.
10

Example of Kosher for Passover product labels:
Warning: While many items marked Parve or Pareve (meaning “neutral”) may be kosher for Passover, not all items are. Please read package label and ingredients carefully.
Here are some examples of items you should remove from your home.
Accent ® Seasoning Alcoholic beverages
Baker’s yeast Bakery products
(i.e. bagels, donuts, cookies, cakes)
Bread of all kinds
Breaded fish/chicken/meat
Brewer’s yeast
Most catsup. Read the label!

Some sausage contains grain fillers and/or yeast derivatives.
Soy sauce Stuffing mix
All cereal products (that contain oats, wheat, barley, rye, or spelt.)
Some smoked and cured meats. Please read the label. Some curing and artificial smoking processes use yeast extract!
Again, if in doubt, ask the following questions:
1. Does this food or drink contain any leavening agents? Yeast or yeast derivatives? Baking soda or baking powder? Was yeast (or any other leavening agent) involved in the process of making this food? NOTE: ALL fermented foods/drinks are NOT allowable during Passover, except that which is specifically labeled as kosher for Passover.
11

2. Does this food or drink contain any wheat (except matzah or matzah products), barley, rye, oats, or spelt?
If the answer to either of these questions is "yes," then that food is NOT allowable during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

FASTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADULTS
I. What is a Fast?
The Hebrew word for fasting means “to cover the mouth.” The Greek word for fasting means “not to eat.” Simply put, fasting means to abstain from food. Fasting involves turning away from foods that the body craves in order for our spirit to concentrate on God in worship, service, and praise.
Fasting has been a part of Christianity through the ages. It is a form of spiritual and scriptural sacrifice. Fasting does not change or impress God. Fasting changes us. Through fasting, Christians are empowered to discipline their daily relationship with the Lord.
The fast will consist of abstaining from food. In other words, you are fasting if you are not eating food. The primary method of fasting will be one (1) meal each day.
Social Media/TV Options
Fasting is an opportunity for Christians to practice the fruit of self-discipline by abstaining from personal pleasure to focus our entire attention on God. Therefore, during the Church Family Fast, You can also include abstaining from all forms of social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap-Chat, etc. or you can choose the technical option by abstaining from watching shows on television, Youtube, Netflix, Hulu or online streaming. The focus is to go silent and keep all forms of Social Media and TV off throughout the fast. However, remember to choose either of these options or both only in addition to our primary method of fasting which in no food.
II. Why Should We Fast?
John Wesley, the original organizer of the Methodist Movement, fasted. In fact, he fasted twice a week. More importantly, Jesus Christ fasted! We fast as a Church Family because God’s blessings reside in our unity. This special time encourages us to be “like-minded, having the same love and being of one accord and of one mind” (Philippians 2:1-3).
III. Who Should Fast?
Prayerfully, each member will participate in the Church Family Spiritual Fast. Please consult your physician about your fasting if: (1) you are pregnant; (2) you are on prescribed medication; (3) you are under a doctor’s care; (4) you have experienced illness on a previous fast; (5) or, you do not normally eat anyway.
YOUR PHYSICIAN’S ORDERS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER THIS FAST! FOLLOW YOUR PHYSICIAN’S ORDERS!!!
IV. Why Fast?
The benefits include:
1. Having a closer relationship with God, our Father, who created us;
2. Focusing you on Jesus, the Supply, and Supplier of your benefits and blessings;
3. Becoming more sensitive and responsive to the Holy Spirit;
4. Presenting the opportunity for you to spend more time waiting on the Lord;
5. Intensifying your prayer life;

11. Fostering personal discipline that will help to reduce impulsive fleshly urges that do not
align with Scripture; and,
12. Demonstrating (to yourself) an act of scriptural obedience.
How to Fast
The primary method of fasting for the Church Family Spiritual Fast will be one (1) meal each day eaten after 6:00 p.m. Meals should be completed within 75 minutes from the moment you put food into your mouth.
Fasting Options include:
1. “Veterans” - Veterans are those members who have participated in the Church Family
Spiritual Fast two or more times.
2. “First Round Draft Choices” - (First Rounders are those persons who have never fasted or have only participated in a Church Spiritual Fast one time.) First Rounders will eat two (2) meals per day, one at breakfast before 8:00 a.m. and one after 6:00 p.m. Be consistent; eat the breakfast meal at a routine hour. Complete your meals within 75 minutes from the moment you put food into your mouth. Please pray the daily prayer topic during the time of the skipped meal (lunch meal) and during your regular prayer time for the day.
3. “Special Teams” consist of persons who are under a doctor’s care, pregnant, or unable to miss a meal for health reasons. Special Teams should eat regularly scheduled meals. Participation in the Church Family Spiritual Fast will consist of abstaining from foods such as sweets, carbonated beverages, breads, meats, or any food that you feel “you must have at least a little of every day.”
It is important for the Church Family to be of one mind and heart. Please fast in accordance with the above-listed instructions. Fasts such as a “cleansing fast,” “grapefruit fast,” and others are not appropriate during this special time.
Requirements for Fasting
No nibbling! If you feel hungry (that’s expected and normal), drink water and pray.
No sweets (including sweeteners), chips, candy, chewing gum, soft drinks, or any other junk food should be eaten at any time during the fast by Veterans, First Rounders, or Special Teams.
If you experience headaches, fatigue or weakness, faint feelings, nausea, fever, and/or extreme hunger, eat a piece of fruit, slice of bread, crackers, or vegetables (preferably raw). Consult your physician if these feelings persist.

Water only! Please restrict your liquid intake to water. No sodas, juices, fruit juices, lemon water, or flavored water. If you are fasting no food, please drink at least 64oz – 80oz of water each day. Raw vegetable juices are permitted if you are fasting no food.
If you experience “blackouts” while exerting energy, please eat a light, nutritionally-balanced meal.
If you are eating once a day, it is recommended that you do not exercise during the fast.
As I Corinthians 7:5 tells us, no love-making for married folk! (Single Christians are already abstaining.) Both spouses should agree to the fast as a sacrifice of consecration to the Lord. If one of the spouses is not in agreement with I Corinthians 7:5, then do not abstain. There must be agreement between marital partners.
Individual prayer times for each day are 6:00 a.m. and after 7:00 p.m. If your schedule does not allow for these hours, please adjust your schedule to include a morning prayer time and an evening prayer time.
If you “fall off” the fast, get back on. Do not allow the devil to condemn you. Ask your covenant partner (see Covenant Partnering on page 20) for help.
What Are We Praying About During the Fast?
This Power Guide contains the prayers that we will pray during the fast and Fall Feasts. Please pray each prayer on the appropriate day as designated by the Prayer Topic Calendar.

In Isaiah 58:6-2, the Lord explains that an acceptable fast to Him includes feeding and clothing those in need. In addition to praying, you can bless others by using some of the money you would spend on eating out or buying groceries to provide food and clothing for others. See details on the Promise of Giving on page 21.

While fasting, keep your countenance positive. Matthew 6:16-18 tells us not to “advertise our fasting.” Keep your fasting a secret. Be sensible and do your best. God does not smile upon “super fasters.” Expect God to be AWESOME and to do AWESOME things through you and the Church Family.

Fasting Instructions for Children and Youth
God gives us pastors according to His heart who will feed us with knowledge and understanding (Jeremiah 3:15). We must obey our pastors for they watch over our souls (Hebrews 13:17).
Parents should teach and guide by their example the importance of following the leadership of our pastors. When Pastor Caldwell proclaims the fast, children and youth are capable of obeying and participating.
Parents, please prayerfully consider including your children and youth in the Church Family Spiritual Fast. It will be a blessed experience for them and it will begin to lay a foundation for their future. Your support and encouragement are recommended to maximize your child’s success.
I. What is a Fast?
The Hebrew word for fasting means “to cover the mouth.” Fasting has been a part of Christianity through the ages. It is a form of spiritual and scriptural sacrifice. Fasting does not change or impress God. Fasting changes us. Through fasting, Christians are empowered to discipline their daily relationship with the Lord.
II. Why Should Children and Youth Fast?
• To have a closer relationship with God our Father and Jesus Christ;
• To become more sensitive and responsive to the Holy Spirit;
• To present the opportunity for you to spend more time waiting on the Lord; and
• To build your prayer life.
As children and youth fast, they, too, will receive the benefits and blessings of obedience and fasting.
III. How to Fast
• Eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Eat healthy vegetables, fruits, meats, breads, milk, and cereal.
• Eat a healthy snack between meals such as fruit, vegetables, etc.
• Drink WATER, 100% JUICE, and MILK as the only beverages.
NO SWEETS, PIZZA, FRENCH FRIES, CHIPS, CANDY, CHEWING GUM, SOFT DRINKS, OR ANY OTHER JUNK FOODS!
V. What Are We Praying About During the Fast?
Please help your child (ren) pray each prayer on the appropriate day as designated by the Prayer Topic Calendar.

COVENANT PARTNERING
Ecclesiastes 4:12 states, “Though one may be empowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not easily broken.”
It is highly recommended that you choose a Covenant Partner. This person will pray with you, encourage you, and remind you of God’s faithfulness. Choose someone who will walk with you throughout the duration of the fast.
Remember, your most important Covenant Partners are God our Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. As One, trust them to help and strengthen you and your Covenant Partner(s) during the Church Family Fast.
Guidelines for Covenant Partnering
· Guidelines for choosing Covenant Partners are as follows:
• Marriedcouplespartnerwithmarriedcouples; • Singlewomenpartnerwithsinglewomen;and • Singlemenpartnerwithsinglemen.
· Be sure to exchange telephone numbers or e-mail addresses.
· During the fast, please communicate, pray, encourage and hold each other accountable.

CHOW TO USE YOUR KINGDOM BUILDERS’ POWER GUIDE
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the topics that we have asked of Him. I John 5:14-15
The Power Guide is designed as a tool for study, reflection and prayer. Each prayer is written based on the model of the Lord’s Prayer (see Matthew 6:9-13).
In order to maximize the use of your guide, please follow the listed instructions.
1. Set aside a few minutes each day to pray individually, with your family or prayer partner(s). Gradually build your prayer time with the Lord to at least thirty (30) to sixty (60) minutes each day. You can split up your prayer time, if necessary, and pray a few minutes in the morning and evening. You choose the time of day that is good for you. Find a comfortable place to pray and turn off any distractions. If you have small children who need most of your attention, pray the daily prayer with them. Let God’s Word saturate their hearing.
2. Refer to the Prayer Topics Calendar on page 23 for the specific prayer for the day. Only pray for the prayer topic that is assigned to that day so that we are unified in our daily praying. Please do not get ahead of the prayer for the day. Before praying the “Scriptural Prayer,” first read the Scriptures listed for “Scripture Reading.”
3. Pray the assigned prayer out loud. There is power in your verbal expression. Parents please encourage your children to pray their prayer topics in the Children’s Power Guide out loud. Youth (ages 13-17) may use the Adult Power Guide.
4. These prayers are intended to be a springboard to help you with your prayerful conversations. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you to expand upon the prayer that you are praying for the day. If you speak in tongues, please pray in tongues over each prayer topic. Relax, listen and enjoy the Lord.
5. Record any reflections, revelations, or inspiration given by the Holy Spirit in the Prayer Expectation section at the end of the Power Guide.
6. Believe that the Lord is hearing your prayer and know in your heart that your praying will produce God’s results for the prayer topic you are praying for.
7. After praying, make your daily power confession by using the Daily Power Confessions located on page 74 in the back of your Power Guide. When you speak God’s Word over your life, you activate the power of His Word to work in your life and produce God’s results for your life. Expect God’s Word to transform your life. I also recommend that you speak the Power Confessions over your family.
8. All members are asked to attend Victory Wednesday on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. at The KBC. Please refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar for your assigned Wednesday to attend Victory Wednesday. Assignments are listed based on the first letter of your last name.
9. Enjoy your time spent with the Lord and thank you for helping to implement God’s plans for our Church Family.
God Bless You!

HOW TO PRAY YOUR PRAYER TOPICS
The Prayer Topics begin on page 26. The following instructions will help you to pray them. If you have any questions, please email them to [email protected].
GETTING STARTED
Prayer Topics:
A Prayer Topic is the specific prayer to be prayed for during a particular day of the fast. Please refer to your Prayer Topic Calendar (page 23) for the specific prayer topic for that day.
Scripture Reading:
Scripture reading is a great way to encourage and prepare you for prayer. Read the listed scriptures (preferably out loud) before beginning to pray.
Scriptural Prayer Format:
When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, He left the instructions for prayer in Matthew 6:9-13. Please take your time and allow at least 60 minutes to pray through these prayers. You can split up your prayer time, if necessary, and pray 30 minutes in the morning and evening. You choose the time of day that is good for you. Choose a prayer time that will allow you to settle down and relax. Reflection questions are provided in the prayer. Take time to answer them and record any reflections, revelations, or inspirations. Pray or read the Prayer Topics out loud to the Lord. Be confident in knowing that God is hearing you pray because you are praying His Word in accordance with His instructions for praying.
As a believer, the Lord has given you power to pray His Word; expect results from your praying. Enjoy your time with the Lord. Thank you, in advance, for praying during this wonderful and blessed time.

Prayer Topic #1:
A Prayer of Preparation for the Spring Feasts
Scripture Reading:
Nehemiah 9:5-15, Exodus 12:1-20
Reflections of the Heart:
As we prepare to consecrate ourselves to partake of the Spring Feasts, let us treasure the Lord’s appointed times, given to us by holy mandate. Let us pray with sincere gratitude and joyful expectation of more abundant life in Christ Jesus. All praises and glory be to God, our Heavenly Father, for His goodness and mercy toward us!
Scriptural Prayer:
Blessed Father, we thank You for including us in the promises You made to the children of Abraham. We marvel at Your great love and grace toward us. Thank You for the privilege to observe the festivals that You decreed as a permanent law. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for becoming the perfect sacrifice for our sins. You have caused all things to come together just as the Father planned. You are most deserving of our highest praise and adoration. Because of Your unfailing love, we can enter Your house. We will worship at Your Temple with deepest awe.
Holy Father, as we gather together during this Spring Feasts season, it is our desire to prepare ourselves to meet with You at this consecrated time to celebrate the Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the Feast of First Fruits, and the Feast of Pentecost. We will examine ourselves and confess our sins. We declare that we and our families will serve You alone. We will carefully examine our own homes and lives, and we vow to rid them of every unclean thing. We declare that we will remove all yeast from our homes as we prepare to celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread. As a Church Family, we will celebrate these holy feasts to honor You, Father God, bringing our voluntary offerings in proportion to the blessings we have received from You.
These are the things I will do in preparation for the Spring Feasts:
Holy Spirit, give us Your divine instruction and guidance. Show us the portions of God’s Holy Word that teach us how to prepare for the Spring Feasts. Help us all to make thankfulness our sacrifice to God, and to keep the vows we have made to the Most High. Show us any hidden places of the heart that need to be cleansed of sin or idolatry. Lord, bless our families and draw us closer to You and to one another. May we always keep You and Your Kingdom first in all that we do. Father, meet with us as we celebrate the Spring Feasts to honor You. We are excited about spending this anointed time with You, and we expect to see Your glory manifest among us!
Gracious Father, have mercy upon us forgive us for our stubborn reluctance and for clinging to our old traditions instead of following Your divine precepts. Forgive those who choose not to celebrate Your holy festivals or those who are unwilling to bring offerings to You. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Eternal Father, there is no one like, You, the God of Israel. You ride across the heavens to help us, across the skies in majestic splendor. Praise be to Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords! We will remember the things You have done in the past, for You alone are God. You are God, and there is no one like You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

Prayer Topic #2:
Our Church Family Fast Opening Prayer
Scripture Reading:
Joel 2:12-19, Matthew 6:5-18
Reflections of the Heart:
Today at 6:00 p.m., as a Church Family, we will turn away from food and carnal pleasures and focus our full attention on our Father God and His Kingdom. So, as we fast and pray as a Church Family, let’s expect to grow closer to the Lord and to hear more clearly from Him.
Scriptural Prayer:
Blessed Father, we thank You for our Church Family. Thank You for this consecrated week of prayer and fasting. Thank You for coming close to us as we come close to You. We are grateful that You are our God and we bless Your wonderful Name. Heavenly Father, Your majestic Name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. With all our hearts, we will praise You and tell of the marvelous things You have done. We will sing praises to Your Name, Lord Most High. Lord, You are in Your holy Temple; You still rule from heaven. You closely watch everyone, examining every person on the earth.
Great Father, we confess that we will enter into this week of fasting as a united Church Family. During this sacred time, we will give our bodies to You because of all You have done for us. We will let them be living and holy sacrifices—the kind that You will find acceptable. For we know that this is truly the way to worship You. Lord, as we fast, we will not behave like hypocrites, making it obvious by trying to look miserable and disheveled so people will admire us for our fasting. No! We will comb our hair and wash our faces so that no one will notice that we are fasting except You, our Father. Lord, You know what we do in private. You see everything and You will reward us. Lord, as we fast, we will not cease in our praying. We will meditate on Your Word day and night, and observe to do all that is within it.
Holy Spirit, during the fast, show me the areas of my life that I need to surrender to the Father:
Holy Spirit, please give us the power to overcome our fleshly appetites during this time of fasting. Help us to follow You and the instructions given during the Church Family Fast. As we pray during the fast, please speak to us and give us wisdom. Increase our discernment and show us Your plans for our lives individually as well as corporately. Touch the hearts of our Church Family members who have not made the decision to join us on the fast. Lord, as we pray, please hear our prayers. Holy Spirit, teach us how to honor Jesus Christ, our Savior and to revere God, our Father, as we worship Him in spirit and in truth.
Righteous Father, forgive us as a Church Family for our sins. Forgive those members who are able to fast but are choosing not to fast. Please forgive us for our stubbornness, selfishness and/or rebellion. Please help us all to submit to this time of fasting and trust You.
El Elyon, blessed are You, the Most High! You alone are God. Who is like You among the gods, O Lord – glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor, performing great wonders? Those who live at the ends of the earth

Prayer Topic #3:
A Declaration of Obedience to God’s Will
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 119:1-6, Deuteronomy 11:1-28
Reflections of the Heart:
“Loving God means keeping His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome.” I John 5:3 Scriptural Prayer:
Our Father, we thank You for Your love and compassion. Thank You for keeping Your covenant with us throughout the ages. Thank You for making us Your people. Lord, You are compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. Your unfailing love toward those who fear You is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. Let the whole world fear You, Lord. Let everyone stand in awe of You. Father, You are great and most worthy of praise. We will tell of Your greatness, O Lord. We will exalt Your Name together.
Righteous Father, as Your obedient children, we declare that we will not slip back into our old ways of living to satisfy our own desires. We confess that Your instructions are perfect, reviving our souls. Your decrees are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Your commandments are right, bringing joy to our hearts. Your commands are clear, giving insight for living. You promised in Your Word that if we are careful to obey You and to follow all Your instructions, You will be an enemy to our enemies, and You will oppose those who oppose us. We will seek Your Kingdom above all else, and live righteously, and we know that You will give us everything we need.
Today, I will obey God, the Father, in the following areas:
Holy Spirit, help us as we prepare for the Spring Feasts. Show us individually and collectively where we have been inconsistent in our obedience to God, the Father. Help us all to turn from our areas of disobedience and fully release our whole hearts to Your divine leading. Remind us to continue to encourage each other and build each other up on a daily basis.
Abba Father, forgive us for sins of pride, rebellion, disobedience, selfishness, hatred, and idolatry. Lord, forgive us for half-hearted worship. Forgive us for disrespecting Your Name and treating You irreverently. Forgive us where we have not glorified Your Name and Your Kingdom by our actions and lifestyles. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind each of us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.
Triumphant Lord, You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. You are the God who is, and who was, and who is still to come – the Almighty One, El Shaddai. All honor and glory belongs to You, God, forever and ever! You are the eternal King, the unseen One who never dies; You alone are God. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #4:
A Prayer of Repentance of Sins
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 98, Psalm 51
Reflections of the Heart:
“The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” II Peter 3:9
Scriptural Prayer:
Adoring Father, thank You for providing this special time of year for us to examine our lives. Thank You for Your Word which is a lamp to guide our feet and a light for our path. Thank You for delivering us out of trials with a greater knowledge of who we are in Christ. Thank You for the Holy Spirit who lives inside of us to lead and guide us every day. How good it is when we come together as a Church Family to sing praises to You! Throughout our lives, You have been faithful to heal our broken hearts and bandage our wounds. We praise You, Lord!
Heavenly Father, during this week of repentance and self-examination, we take the time to examine our lives and allow the Holy Spirit to show us where we have sinned. Lord, we prepare our hearts and lift up our hands to You in prayer. We denounce our sins and leave all iniquity behind us. As we repent on today, we expect our faces to brighten with innocence. We will be strong and free of fear. We will forget our misery; it will flow away from us like water. Father, we come before You, running with purpose in every step, not just shadowboxing. We commit to discipline ourselves to do what we should so that our witness to those who do not know You will not be disqualified.
I am not perfect, but I know that I can do better in the following areas of my life:
Holy Spirit, in our own strength, our efforts to change are futile. We ask You to help us release total control of our lives to You, so that God, our Father’s, perfect will is done in us. It is only with Your help that we can overcome our sinful ways. Lead us daily and remind us that we have been bought with a high price. Remind us of the spiritual laws You have taught us and help us to store the Father’s commands in our hearts. Create in us clean hearts, O God! Renew loyal spirits within us! Do not banish us from Your presence, and don’t take Your Holy Spirit from us. Restore to us the joy of Your salvation and make us willing to obey You!
Merciful Father, forgive us collectively and individually for the sins that we have committed against You. Forgive us for being prideful and deceiving ourselves. Forgive us for repeatedly making empty promises to You. Forgive us for being so quick to rush into sin. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.
Magnificent King, You count all the stars and call them all by name. You are great and Your power is absolute. Your understanding is beyond comprehension! All glory to You alone, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are Yours before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #5:
A Prayer for Deliverance and Freedom
Scripture Reading: Psalm 8, Luke 4:14-21
Reflections of the Heart:
“Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” Psalm 50:15
Scriptural Prayer:
Almighty God, we thank You for the gift of Jesus Christ, who has redeemed our souls. As a Church Family, we thank You for delivering us from seen and unseen dangers. Thank You that when we are tempted, You always show us a way out so that we can endure. We faint with longing to enter into Your courts, Lord. With our whole being, body and soul, we will shout joyfully to You, our Living God. We have joy because our strength comes from You. A single day in Your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! We would rather be gatekeepers in Your house than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. You are our sun and shield. You give us grace and glory.
Awesome Father, throughout the journey of our lives, we have always been able to depend on You. You have delivered us from every evil attack and brought us safely to Your ark of protection. We believe and trust You to deliver us from every danger. Father, we know that whenever we come to You for protection, You will not let us be disgraced. You always turn Your ear to listen to us and You rescue us quickly. We decree that You are the rock of protection; a fortress where we can be safe. Just for the honor of Your Name, You will lead us out of danger. You pull us from the trap of our enemies to set us free. We find protection in You alone. As a Church Family, we will entrust our spirits into Your hands for You are a faithful God. We confess that because You are so rich in kindness and grace, You purchased our freedom with the blood of Your Son and forgave our sins. We are delivered!
Holy Spirit, lead those in our Church Family, to return to God if they have strayed away from the path of truth and righteousness in any way. Create inside of all of us a desire to do what is good and to live a life of purity. Renew a loyal spirit within us so that we will remain connected to the presence and power of our Father God. Help us to remain committed to God’s ways and not the ways of the world. We want to be stable in our faith. Teach us to love justice and hate evil so that the oil of joy can continuously flow, unhindered, among us. The times we live in are full of evil influences. We ask that You keep us alert and aware of the devil who prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Strengthen those of us who are weak and entrapped in sin. Set the prisoner of sin and iniquity free. Remind us to humble ourselves under the mighty power of the Father, and to give all of our worries and cares to Him, for we know that God cares for us.
Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance areas in my life that have me and my family in bondage. Show me any areas in which I am influencing others to violate God’s Word so that I might pray for deliverance:
Loving Father, we are so grateful that You stand ready to forgive us and cleanse us from all wickedness. Forgive us for being so ready to accommodate the cravings of our flesh rather than relying upon Your strength to resist the devil. Forgive us for being stubborn and rebellious. Forgive us for leaving open doors of unconfessed sin. Forgive us for bringing sorrow to the Holy Spirit by the way we live. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Almighty Lord, there is no one like You! You are great and Your Name is full of power. Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? That title belongs to You alone. Among all the wise people of the earth and in all the kingdoms of the world, there is no one like You. Rise up, O Lord, in all Your power. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #6:
A Prayer of Forgiveness of Others
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 108:1-5, Matthew 18:21-35
Reflections of the Heart:
It is impossible to live and not be hurt or offended. Jesus said “If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.” Luke 17:3-4
Scriptural Prayer:
Beloved Father, thank You for loving us, forgiving us and saving us. Thank You for being patient with us. Thank You for increasing Your presence, power, anointing, and abundance in our lives. We give thanks to You and proclaim Your greatness. Lord, we will let the whole world know what You have done in our lives. We will sing to You the praises due Your Name and tell everyone about Your wonderful deeds. Father, You are our God; we earnestly search for You. Our souls thirst for You; our bodies long for You in this parched and weary land where there is no water. We have seen You in Your sanctuary and gazed upon Your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how we praise You!
Righteous Father, Your Word tells us that if we forgive those who have sinned against us, then You, our Heavenly Father, will forgive us. Today, we choose to forgive. We declare that we will make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who has offended us. Lord, we remember that You have forgiven, therefore we must forgive others. As a Church Family, we choose to owe nothing to anyone, except for our obligation to love them. We confess that as we love our neighbors, we fulfill the requirement of God’s law.
Holy Spirit, we ask You to help all of us individually and as a Church Family to forgive the people who have hurt us. Heal our emotions that have been wounded and teach us how to love unconditionally. Help us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Holy Spirit, remind us all of the grace that the Lord has extended toward us, despite our sins against Him. Help us to liberally extend that same grace to others who have sinned against us. Discipline us so that we will not so easily take offense. Lord, help us to extend mercy to others and forget the past so that we can move forward toward our futures.
Forgiving Father, please forgive us for not being forgiving. Forgive us for holding grudges, thinking evil thoughts, and seeking revenge. Forgive us for hatred and malice. Forgive us for not letting Your love flow through us to others. Forgive us for gossiping, lying and for rehearsing offenses in our minds. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all to forgive each other and other people, and please help us to forgive.
Write the person(s) name(s) and beside it write “you are forgiven”! If you need to ask someone for forgiveness, then ask and move forward in your life.
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Triumphant Lord, You are the eternal King, Your rule is everlasting. All the people of the earth are nothing compared to You. All of Your acts are just and true. You alone have held the oceans in Your hand. You

Prayer Topic #7:
A Prayer of Forgiveness Toward Self
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 89:1-8, Romans 5:1-11
Reflections of the Heart:
“To understand is to forgive, even oneself.” ~ Alexander Chase
Scriptural Prayer:
Divine Father, thank You for loving us, forgiving us and saving us. Thank You for Your unconditional love. Thank You for blotting out our sins and never thinking about them again. Thank You for helping each of us to forgive ourselves for past sins, mistakes and failures. Teach us Your decrees, O Lord; we will keep them to the end. Give us understanding and we will obey Your instructions; we will put them into practice with all our hearts. Make us walk along the path of Your commands, for that is where our happiness is found. Father God, this is the day that You have made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
Omniscient Father, according to Your Word, there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. So we declare that those persons in our Church Family who need to forgive themselves from their past will begin to walk in freedom instead of condemnation. We declare that they will begin to recognize that they are no longer slaves, but they are God’s own children; and not only children, but God has made them His heirs. We decree that every proud obstacle that keeps them from knowing You and the freedom they have in You is destroyed. Their rebellious thoughts will be captured and they will learn to obey Christ.
Holy Spirit, we ask You to help all of us to forgive people who have hurt us, including ourselves. Heal our emotions that have been wounded and teach us how to love unconditionally. Remind us that nothing – not death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow, not even the powers of hell – can separate us from God’s love. Lord, help us to extend mercy to others and forget the past so that we can move forward toward our futures.
Forgiving Father, we know that we have not always demonstrated Your character. Please have mercy upon us and do not take Your Spirit from us. You are our strong tower; without You we will perish. Please forgive us for not forgiving ourselves when You have already forgiven us. Forgive us for not letting Your love flow through us. Forgive us for rehearsing our past offenses in our minds. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all to forgive each other and other people, and please help us to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.
Write down those things that you are struggling to forgive yourself for. After you ask God to forgive you for that sin, draw a line through it as a reminder that it is now forgiven!
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Triumphant Father, You are the God of gods and Lord of lords. You are the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed. The mountains melt like wax before You, Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim Your righteousness; every nation sees Your glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #8:
A Prayer for a Disciplined Lifestyle
ScriptureReading: Psalm 148, Psalm 1
Reflections of the Heart:
Discipline is developed and guided by decision. As a child of God, the decisions you make on a daily basis will determine the strength of your self-discipline. But, be well aware that the power to align your will with the will of the Father is endowed only by the Holy Spirit. Without Him, discipline (that bears eternal benefit)
cannot take shape in your life.
Scriptural Prayer:
Loving Father, we thank You for Jesus. Thank You for working in us; giving us the desire and the power to do what please You. We give You thanks, O Lord, with all our hearts. We will sing Your praises. We bow before Your holy Temple as we worship. We praise Your Name for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, for Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your Name. As soon as we pray, You answer us. You encourage us by giving us strength.
Divine Father, apart from Jesus, the True Vine, we can do nothing. We realize that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We do not belong to ourselves for You bought us with a high price, so we must honor You with our bodies. As true disciples of Jesus Christ, we will remain faithful to His teachings. We know the truth, and the truth as set us free. We will remain strong and immovable. We understand the impact of our influence on others, therefore we make a decision today to live in such a way that will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. Father, we declare that we listen to Your voice. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we take authority over our minds, wills, and emotions because we are surrounded by a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith. Therefore, we strip off every weight that slows us down; especially the sin that easily trips us up. And we declare that we will run with endurance the race that You have set before us. We will do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the Champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
Holy Spirit, remind us that the Father has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self- discipline. We ask You to guide our lives so that we won’t do what our sinful nature craves. Give us desires that are opposite of what our sinful nature desires so that we can remain faithful to the calling of God on our lives. Show us how to develop an ear to hear You when You speak the Father’s will to us and help us to be quick to obey. Whenever we are in danger of backsliding into our old ways, please help us to remember that we are the salt and light to this world.
Holy Spirit, today I will commit to developing greater spiritual discipline by doing the follow (write down the Holy Spirit’s instructions to you):
Precious Father, forgive us of our sins. Forgive us for neglecting and rejecting spiritual discipline in our personal lives. Forgive us for straying away and leaving Your righteousness to follow our own sinfulness. Forgive us for being foolish and prideful. Forgive us for failing to hide Your Word in our hearts on a regular basis to safeguard ourselves from sinning against You. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.

El Shaddai, You are All Sufficient! Blessed be Your holy Name. You are honored in Judah. Your Name is great in Israel. Jerusalem is where You live and Mount Zion is Your home. Salvation comes from You, the God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to You forever and ever! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #9:
Our Church Family Fast Closing Prayer
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 44:23-28, Isaiah 58:6-12
Reflections of the Heart:
Today at 6:00 p.m., we will end our Church Family Fast. At that time, take some time to thank God for His presence, provision and power that He has demonstrated during our time of consecration. Review those things He revealed to you and partner with the Holy Spirit to create an action plan to implement them.
Scriptural Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father, we come before Your presence with thanksgiving. We thank You for blessing us throughout our Annual Church Family Fast. We have been blessed by Your love, presence, and anointing. Thank You for helping us to overcome our hunger pangs and resist foods that we love to eat. Thank You for speaking to us through Your Word and maturing us in Your wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. There were times on the fast that were challenging, but You helped us to remain strong and focused. Father, You are an awesome Father. We, Your children, are so glad to be a part of Your household of faith. We honor You, the only true God; the living God and the everlasting King. The whole earth trembles at Your anger and nations cannot stand up to Your wrath. You made the earth by Your power and You preserve it by Your wisdom. With Your own understanding, You stretched out the heavens. We love You! Hallel YAH!
Gracious Father, we have tried to fast according to Your Word in Isaiah 58. We have shared food, clothing, and basic necessities with the poor. We have helped the homeless and our relatives. We have tried to live in Your righteousness and justice. We pray that our efforts have brought You glory. We are expecting Your salvation to come like the dawn. We are expecting our wounds (physical, emotional, and spiritual) to heal quickly. We look forward to Your Godliness leading us forward and Your glory protecting us from behind. We are fully confident that when we call on You, You will answer quickly, “Yes, I am here.” Hallel YAH! We look forward to You giving us water when we are dry and restoring our strength when we are weak. As a result of our fasting, we expect to be like a well-watered garden and ever-flowing spring. As a Church Family, we will continue to rebuild deserted ruins in our communities. We will be Your rebuilders of walls and restorers of homes. We are expecting Your Kingdom to advance through us. Thank You for using us.
List three things the Holy Spirit has shown you during the fast:
Holy Spirit, help us not to go back to old unhealthy eating habits. Help us to continue our discipline of being with You daily through prayer and the study of Your Word. This has been a refreshing time of restoration and we commit to keeping these new and improved habits.
Merciful Father, forgive those who could have fasted, but refused to participate. Forgive all of us for anything we have thought, said or done that does not align with Your righteousness. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, continue to remind us all of people we need to forgive and help us to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.

Prayer Topic #10:
A Prayer for the Men and Boys in Our Windsor Village Church Family
Scripture Reading:
Daniel 6:25-27, Proverbs 3:1-26
Reflections of the Heart:
God loves our men and boys and He wired them for success. The enemy has been disrupting God’s preferred plans for them through a strategy to steal, kill and destroy them. Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams noted, “Life is not fair; we only get what we are willing to fight for!” By praying for our men, boys and families we are positioned to “Fight to Win!” God used a man to redeem humankind and He continues to empower men to work in His Kingdom.
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for our men and boys. We thank You for equipping them to take their rightful place in You. Thank You for empowering them to walk in Your power and authority. Thank You for the men and boys who will join the Body of Christ and glorify Your Name. Thank You, God, for restoration, reconciliation and healing in our families and communities. Thank You, for giving our men and boys all things that pertain to life and Godliness. How majestic is Your Name in all the earth. Your glory is set above the heavens. May Your glorious Name be praised; may it be exalted above all blessings and praise! You are great and most worthy of praise. No one can measure Your greatness. You are good to everyone. You shower compassion upon all of Your creation. All of Your works will thank You, Lord, and we, Your faithful followers, will praise You. We will tell of the glory of Your Kingdom and give examples of Your power.
Righteous Father, by faith, we call all of our men and boys saved, sanctified, and filled with Your Spirit. Your Word instructs that faith without works is dead, so we confess that the men and boys of our Church Family will work to develop and demonstrate their Christian faith daily. Our men will be priestly providers and protectors of their families. Our boys will love the Lord with all of their hearts, minds and strength, and like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They will excel academically, socially and psychologically. Our boys will become great leaders, loving husbands and excellent fathers. We confess that as they submit to Your Word; they will be transformed by the renewing of their minds. Lord, we decree that their belief systems and behavior patterns will reflect Your righteousness in their personal and public lives. We declare that the light of Jesus will be reflected by their actions. As they fellowship with one another; others will see their good works and glorify You, our Father in heaven. Lord, we confess that Your favor surrounds them like a shield.
Holy Spirit, as God continues to position the men and boys of our Windsor Village Church Family into their rightful place, tell me how to specifically pray for them? ________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, we ask that You touch the hearts of our congregation to pray for our men and boys of this local assembly. Please empower us all to stand against society’s systems and structures that result in ten percent of all pre-school boys being suspended. Father, studies show that ninety percent of all “behavioral problems” in public schools are linked to boys. Please touch the hearts of fathers (and mothers) to teach their children Your Godly principles. Give us plans and strategies that will destroy these statistics and encourage our boys to succeed academically. Give teachers and educators creative ways to reach our boys so that the dropout rate among African American and Latino boys will begin to decrease. Turn the hearts of our fathers back towards their children and their children’s hearts back towards them. Show our parents how to increase their son’s logical skills, linguistic skills, intra-personal skills, interpersonal skills, spatial skills, kinesthetic skills, and musical skills.
Loving Father, forgive our men for sins of disobedience, selfishness, lying, pornography, fornication, adultery and for not accepting the responsibility for leadership within their families and the church. Forgive our boys for
44

rebellion, selfishness and for accepting the negative labels placed on them by the world. Lord, please help our men and boys to forgive family members, friends and loved ones who have hurt or offended them. Father, heal emotional wounds caused by these hurts. Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our men and boys of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.
Holy Spirit, help our men and boys not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
Lord, we praise Your Name. Your Name alone is exalted. Your glory is high above the earth and heaven. You are worthy, Lord, to receive glory, honor and power. You created all things, by Your will they exist and were created. You are Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #11:
A Prayer of Thanksgiving for Our Pastors and Their Families
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 47, Psalm 128
Reflections of the Heart:
Our Pastors carry an incredible weight that many of us will never truly understand. They need our prayers, our commitment, and our support. So don’t forget to pray for our Pastors and their families during your prayer time.
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the men and women You have appointed as our Pastors. Thank You for blessing our Church Family with their leadership and wisdom. Thank You for leading, directing, and protecting their families. Thank You for Pastors Kirbyjon and Suzette Caldwell, Pastor Kim Orr and Pastor Mark Grafenreed and their families. Thank You for Minister Ray Bady, Reverend Lisa Berry-Dockery, Reverend James Andrews, Dr. Earl and Mrs. Jeanette Allen and their families. Lord, You are our Good Shepherd, our High Priest. You are a great God and a great King above all gods. You hold in Your hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. The sea belongs to You, for You made it. Your hands formed the dry land, too. Today, we bow down and worship You. We kneel before You and acknowledge You as our maker. You are our God and we are the people that You watch over and have taken under Your care.
Almighty Father, Your Word says that those who fear You and delight in obeying Your commands will be joyful. You promised that their children will be successful everywhere. We declare that the descendants of our Pastors are mighty on earth and blessed because they are the generation of Godly people. We confess that our Pastors will be wealthy and their good deeds will last forever. We decree that their peace is great and their composure is undisturbed. We declare that our Pastors’ families will experience the Kingdom of God here on earth; people will see their good works and glorify You, our Father in Heaven. Our Pastors obey Your commands, therefore, their families will be blessed in the city and in the fields. They will be blessed when they come in and when they go out. Lord, we expect that You will cause their enemies who rise against them one way to be defeated and flee seven ways. Lord, it is our expectation that You will command Your blessing upon their storehouses and in all that they set their hands to do and You will bless them in the land.
Holy Spirit, show me how to pray specifically for our Pastors and their families:
________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________
Faithful Father, we joyfully lift up the families of our Pastors. Holy Spirit, we ask You to fill their homes with Your gentleness, peace, joy, and Godly order. We lift up their marriages and we ask You to bless them psychologically, emotionally and sexually. Bless their children to mature academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Lord, strengthen and encourage those families who feel overwhelmed by the ministry. Lord, we ask that You protect our Pastors and their families from the onslaughts of the devil and the disrespect of people. Please help them to maintain balance in their public and private lives.
Merciful Father, forgive us for not being steadfast in praying for our Pastors and their families. Forgive those in our Church Family for speaking ill against our Pastors and rebelling against their teachings. Forgive those who gossip, murmur, complain, and whine. Please forgive our Pastors and their families for any acts of sinfulness including: anger, wrath, envy, jealousy, or dissension. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our Pastors and their families to forgive each other and other people, and please help them to forgive.
46

Holy Spirit, help our Pastors and their families not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may You be praised forever and ever! Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours. This is Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #12:
A Prayer of Thanksgiving for Our Windsor Village Church Family
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 145:1-9, Isaiah 60:1-14
Reflections of the Heart:
Our time under God is definitely now! God is positioning us to seize His promises for our lives. So, as a Church Family, let us lift our voices together and confess the will of God to manifest in our lives. We boldly declare that we will manifest God’s Kingdom here on earth!
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, as a Church Family, we are so thankful for Your abundant blessings. Thank You for dwelling among us and being our God. Thank You for the new experiences we are sharing with You, our families, friends and Church Family. We are thankful for Your manifested presence in our lives. You are a wonderful Father! We praise You with our whole hearts. We tell of all the marvelous things You have done. We are filled with joy because of You. We sing praises to Your Name, O Most High. Because of Your unfailing love, we can enter Your house. We worship at Your Temple with the deepest awe. Lord, who can list Your glorious miracles? Who can ever praise You enough? We exalt and praise You, the God of Israel. You live from everlasting to everlasting!
Awesome Father, as a Church Family, we will walk by faith and not by sight. We are true worshippers who worship You in spirit and truth. We decree that because we crave the pure spiritual milk of Your Word, we are growing into the fullness of Your salvation. Faith, hope, and love (especially love) abides in us. We declare that the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are upon our lives, families, businesses, communities and church. We release the “let there be factor” into all areas of our lives. Let there be salvation, healing and deliverance within each of us. Let there be love, joy, favor and peace in our daily living. Let there be economic prosperity, emotional prosperity, and relational prosperity. Let there be an increase of God’s wisdom, knowledge and power. Holy Spirit, as You instruct us, we will receive revelation on how to speak to the conditions and situations that are in our lives.
Today, I thank God for the following in my life:
________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________
Worthy Father, flood our hearts with Your light so that we can see and comprehend the wonderful future You have promised to us. Holy Spirit, we ask that You would continue to show us those areas in our lives that need to change. Help us to remain steadfast as our relationship with God, our Father, Jesus Christ, our big brother, and with You, our Sustainer improves daily through prayer, worship and communion. Convict our hearts when we begin to fall back into old patterns, mindsets, attitudes and behaviors and lead us in the right way. Holy Spirit, we are depending on You to help us to live victorious, Kingdom lives.
Compassionate Father, the Bible states that we have all sinned and fallen short of Your glory. It is our desire to walk with You and trust in You. Please forgive us for our sins. Forgive us for pride, unforgiveness, deception, dishonesty, rebellion, cheating, stealing, gossiping, backbiting and anything else that dishonors You.
Holy Spirit, as a Church Family, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
