4 Welcome to the Windsor Village Church Family Vacation Bible School 2023, Family Matters...Stronger Together. We pray that you and your family are geared up and ready for the VBS family experience and that you will be blessed by the time and togetherness of this year’s program. God has chosen the framework of the family to help us understand authority and His plan in our life. The structure of family is vital to so many other laws, principles, and teachings in the Bible. It is also important to understand what God’s plan for the family is, so that we can understand the rest of His Word as it applies to us today. God instituted the family in Genesis 2:18 when He said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper who is just right for him.” He brought Adam and Eve together and established the basis for the family. God wants our families to succeed and to prosper. From the very beginning, God blessed and encouraged families, commanding Adam and Eve to “be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth” (Genesis 1:28). The example of Adam and Eve shows us that families are of God and He blessed them with three children. He designed the family to be the basic building block of society; thus in order for our communities to be stable, the families that comprise the communities must be as well. And ultimately, God wants us to have spiritually healthy families so that we can produce godly offspring (Malachi 2:15) and expand His family. But while family relationships are important, we all know strong families don’t just happen. Sustaining a marriage and raising children are challenging things to do. If we want to have happy homes, we have to work hard to create them. When we spend quality time together as a family, we express by our actions that we value and care about each other. This makes family members feel more connected to each other and helps build and strengthen family bonds. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 instructs us that the best time spent together is everyday informal time without distractions like cell phones, video games, and television. “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up”. Family is one of God’s greatest gifts! With “family” being this year’s major focus for our church-wide VBS, we are looking forward to your family experiencing a great week together with activities both at home and at the KBC. May God bless your family in a mighty way this week, as your family relationships grow and become even stronger. Our kick-off sermon begins Sunday, July 16th. After Sunday’s sermon, talk with your family and record their responses to the Opening Sermon on page 5 in your booklet. Again, thank you for participating in the Windsor Village Church Family 2023 Vacation Bible School “Family Matters...Stronger Together”. Blessings, The VBS 2023 Planning Team

10 The 2023 Vacation Bible School Prayer for Families Scripture Reading: Psalm 24 Reflection of the Heart: It is through families that we learn love, and in learning love, we find God. Families have differences, but we need each other… stronger together. Scriptural Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for creating us in Your likeness and image. Thank You for loving us unconditionally. We praise You as the Triune God: God the Father, our Creator; God the Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord; and God the Holy Spirit, our teacher and leader. We bless and praise Your name at all times. Creator Father, from the beginning You created the Heaven and Earth. The earth and everyone in it belong to You. You created Adam and Eve as the original family and You blessed them with children. You gave the original family clear instructions to follow just as You have given families clear instructions in 2023. We declare that our families will model and train their children in the way that they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from You. We confess that our children will be taught of the Lord and our children will experience great peace as they obey Your commands and follow Your ways. We thank You for the love of God that is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. We declare that our families will love God, love others, and love themselves. Our families live in Your marvelous light and we will not participate in the darkness of this world. Holy Father, bless the children, youth, and all adults including the young adults and the mature adults of our church family as we participate in the 2023 Vacation Bible School. Bless us to stay close to Jesus. Teach us and bless us to love God, to love others, and to love ourselves. Help us not to bring harm to others or ourselves with our words and actions. As a family, bless us to live together in love, joy, peace, oneness and unity. Bless us to do what is right in God’s sight. Keep us healthy in our spirit, soul, and body. Merciful Father, forgive our families for not loving You by obeying Your commands and following Your ways. Forgive our families for not loving others by helping the poor and people who are in need. Forgive our family members for not loving themselves by not maintaining healthy lifestyles. Forgive our families for not doing what is right in God’s sight. Holy Spirit, remind our families of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. Help us to forgive family members and friends who have spoken hurtful words and committed harmful actions to us. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.

11 Holy Spirit, please help our families not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one. Triumphant King, You are our Lord, our Redeemer and Creator. You are the Lord who made all things. You alone stretched out the heavens. You are the all-wise God. You made the earth and everything in it by Yourself. There is no one greater than You! You reign forever! In Jesus’ name, amen. Throughout the New Testament, we learn how Jesus showed love for His family members, especially His mother, Mary. Even while in agony on the cross, Jesus showed concern for His mother’s care: When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home” John 19:26-27). 12 The Parable of the Good Samaritan Family Leader Lesson Preparation Lesson Focus: A Samaritan traveler showed love to a Jewish man who had been robbed and beaten after two priestly travelers had passed him by and refused to help. Main Objective: God sees no limits to who should be considered our “neighbor”. Lesson Application: We should show selfless love to all without discrimination. We find our kingdom identity in how we love others. We are willing to treat anyone as our neighbor as they are worthy to receive our love. Gather everyone as you prepare to read today’s lesson The Parable of the Good Samaritan together. The reason the parable of The Parable of the Good Samaritan was told is because someone asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbor? (Luke 10:29) Jesus wants us all to understand who our “neighbor” is and that no matter who they are, we are to love them just us as much as we love ourselves. This lesson is to help the family understand that it is important to treat others the way we want to be treated. The Family Leader will facilitate the following activity and discussion. Leader: We are with lots of different people each day—friends, family, classmates, people we don’t know well, and even people we might not like too much. How do you like your family to act towards you? Think about how you would like to be treated by these people. (Hold brief family discussion as you receive responses.) I have a couple of questions for you today…what do you think is the most important commandment? (Take possible answers). It might seem like a tricky question. What if I told you that the whole Bible (hold up Bible) could be summed up in just one word? What do you think that might be? It’s LOVE! And that is what the commandment is, actually. The most important thing we are to do is to love. Jesus described this and said that the biggest priority in our lives should be loving God with all of our heart, our mind, our soul and our strength. And He said we are to love our “neighbor”. What does this mean? Who is our neighbor? Is it someone living next door or across the street? Loving others matters to God – that’s why Jesus told this parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37 that we will be reading and discussing together today. After reading the story together, hold a concluding discussion that includes: Jesus told this story to emphasize to the people that love is not just about what we say, but what we do. Sometimes we get caught up in looking good, working hard to impress other people, or even working hard saying all of the right things. But if we are not demonstrating love, that’s all pretty silly. God wants us to love people by caring for them. He wants us to love others (especially when they are different). That’s the point of the parable of the Good Samaritan. Loving others matters to God – that’s why Jesus told this parable of the Good Samaritan. We pray for them, we do things for them, and we treat them with kindness, as Jesus would do. When we can do that, we show the love of God and fulfill His greatest commandment! Day 1

13 The Parable of the Good Samaritan 25 And behold, a certain [a] lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” 27 So he answered and said, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ” 28And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.” 29 But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among [b] thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. 31Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. 32 Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side. 33But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. 34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35On the next day, [c]when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ 36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” 37 And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” He answered and said, “You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” -Luke 10:27 Luke 10:25-37 Day #1

14 The Parable of the Good Samaritan Family Follow-Up Suggested Insight Questions 1. Jesus taught that we should treat others the way we want to be treated—even if it’s someone we don’t like too much. That might mean forgetting about ourselves in order to help someone else. Do you feel that this is something that will be easy to do? Explain your answer. 2. Are you more like the lawyer or the good Samaritan? It’s easy to read this story and look down on the lawyer. But this story should be used to look at ourselves. Am I more like the lawyer or the good Samaritan? Am I being a good neighbor? It’s easy to quickly answer that question. But Jesus’ story forces us to actually take a hard look at our lives to see for ourselves. After reading this story, how do you see yourself in how you may treat others? 3. If we aren’t careful we can easily get caught up living for only ourselves. Our lives become all about us, our needs, and what we want. That’s a terrible story to tell with our lives. What are some ways do you think we might do this? 4. God created us to actually make an impact on someone. But we can only do that when we live generously, better said, when we give rather than take. God wants us to put other’s needs above our own. How can you live generously for the benefit of those around you? 5. Define “benefit”. What is something we can do as a family to help “benefit” someone else? 6. The oil that the Samaritan was carrying could have helped him with all kinds of things like cooking, cleaning something off, or even to help the Samaritan if he got injured. Now, remember, they couldn't just stop at a Walmart if they ran out of something. They just ran out of it. So, the Samaritan using his oil to help the injured man was very generous. Would you be willing to give up something of yours to help someone else in need? 7. The Samaritan was generous. He was generous not only with his time, but his money, kindness, and belongings. This story is an excellent example of generosity. When we think of generous people, we usually think of those who are giving with their money, but there are so many other ways that we can be generous to our neighbors. What are some ways you think you can be generous with your time, friendship, talents, etc. 8. Did you enjoy this Bible story? What lesson can be learned from the Good Samaritan? 9. This week, how did you make life better for someone other than yourself? 10. When have you been like the good Samaritan in the story? What made you want to help someone in need? Pray together to thank God for His love, and to ask for help in sharing that love with one another. Move your family to complete the Daily Lesson Icon Path together on page 15. There are certain characteristics that can help to ensure a happy and healthy family. Have your family work together to brainstorm at least three others. 1. Making family time a top priority. 2. Communicating in a way that is constructive. 3. Showing sincere appreciation for one another. 4. Having a deep commitment to one another. 17 The Parable of the Lost Son Family Leader Lesson Preparation Lesson Focus: Jesus tells the story of two sons estranged from their father in different ways, and the father, who had compassion for both. Main Objective: God has compassion for his estranged children. God shows grace to those who repent. The kingdom is characterized by repentance and forgiveness. Lesson Application: We should believe that God welcomes those who repent. We should repent from selfishness and from sin. Gather everyone as you prepare to read today’s lesson The Parable of the Lost Son. This lesson is to help the family understand that God is compassionate and accepts those who truly repent into His kingdom. The Family Leader will facilitate the following activity and discussion. Leader: What does this Scripture mean to you? “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” -Matthew 6:14 Our Bible story today is about a man who has two sons. God put children in families so they can experience His love and learn how to love others. Today we are going to read a Bible story about a family and the subject of forgiveness. What does forgiveness mean to you? This story, The Parable of the Lost Son is also called The Prodigal Son. This lesson describes God’s love and grace, despite our sins and mistakes. This follows the parables of the lost sheep and coins. In these stories Jesus shows us what it is to be “lost” and then found. The younger son in the story asks his father for his portion of the family estate as an early inheritance. Once he receives it, the son promptly sets off on a long journey and begins to waste his fortune on wild living. When the money runs out, a severe famine hits the country and the son finds himself in terrible circumstances. He takes a job feeding pigs. Eventually, he becomes so poor that he begins to want to eat the food for the pigs! The young man finally comes to his senses, remembering his father. In humility, he recognizes his foolishness and decides to return to his father and ask for forgiveness and mercy. The father who has been watching and waiting, receives his son back with open arms of compassion. He is overjoyed by the return of his lost son. Points of discussion after the reading: No matter what you have done, God will forgive you if you are willing to be humble and own up to your mistakes. The Parable of the Prodigal Son is a wonderful reminder of God’s grace and love. Although God is saddened by sin, He promises to forgive us when we genuinely repent. God is our Heavenly Father and genuinely wants us close to Him. He wants the best because He loves us! God also gives us the freedom to accept or reject him. He loves each of us and rejoices when we turn away (repent) from our sins and turn to following Him. Repentance means turning around. In a Christian sense, it means turning away from the wrong path, and recognizing our sin and selfishness, and turning to God, who forgives our sin and empowers us with His Spirit to live a life that pleases Him. Sometimes, we’re like the younger son who went away and did all those bad things, because we do bad things too. But what did the father do when the son came home? Was the father mad at the son, or did the father forgive the son? (He forgave him and was happy that he came home.) Jesus said that’s how God is with us. Sometimes, we go away from God and do wrong things, but when we come back to God and say we’re sorry, God forgives us, just like the father in the story forgave his son. God is always happy when we come back to Him. prodigal– spending money or resources freely and recklessly; wastefully extravagant Monday Day 2

18 The Parable of the Lost Son 11 Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. 12And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. 13And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with [a] prodigal living. 14But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. 15 Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the [b] pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. 17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19 and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’ 20 “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. 21And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, [c] ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. 23And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; 24 for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry. 25 “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’ 28 “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29 So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ 31 “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. Luke 15:11-31 Day 2

19 The Parable of The Lost Son Family Follow-Up Suggested Insight Questions 1. Does anyone see themselves in any of the characters in this story? Which one(s)? Why? 2. 22 Joseph Forgives His Brothers Family Leader Lesson Preparation Lesson Focus: God works through trials to accomplish His plan. Joseph forgave his brothers for selling him into slavery. He could tell that his brothers had changed. God can even use wicked behavior to bring about His plan. Main Objective: God remained with Joseph throughout his trials. If we can forgive others, our burden will be gone and we will feel better. People are more important than problems. It is important to forgive others and continue to love and care about them. Lesson Application: We should trust God because He is at work to accomplish His plan, even when things seem to be going wrong. God will be with those who trust Him and will even allow bad things to happen to work for the good. Our forgiveness will prevent us from being bitter and angry, and seeking revenge. Gather everyone as you prepare to read today’s lesson Joseph Forgives His Brothers . This lesson is to help the family understand that it is important to forgive others. The Family Leader will facilitate the following points of discussion before and after the reading. Leader: If someone were to visit our family, would they see God’s goodness in us? Would they see love, order, communion, provision and law? What are your thoughts? Name three things a person would understand about God and His ways by staying with our family for a week. Remember, families are close to God’s heart. Our story today is about another family in the Bible. This story presents God at work behind suffering to bring about the best possible outcome. Even though the main character, Joseph, was the victim of his brother’s sin, God was with him and blessed him. Joseph was the eleventh son of Jacob. We also know that he was highly loved by his father, which you will see in today’s Bible reading. In Genesis 50, Joseph is both forgiving his brothers (not throwing them into prison) and being restored to his brothers (inviting them back into family relationship). It was good for Joseph’s soul to forgive his brothers. It honored God and gave Joseph freedom from bitterness. God was patient with his journey. We should be patient with others and ourselves to forgive. Joseph could have remained angry and bitter at his brothers for what they had done to him. He could have had them thrown in prison or worse, killed. But instead, he chose to forgive them because he knew that God had used their sin for good. Joseph remembered that God was in charge! In this story we see Joseph showing grace to his family. It will show us an example of how God has a wonderful plan for our lives and can turn a bad situation into good. Romans 8:28 Give an example of a time your child needed forgiveness. Ask your child to give a time when you needed forgiveness. Explain how Joseph offered forgiveness even though his brothers didn’t ask for it. Demonstrate how you ask God for forgiveness for sins you have committed. It was good for Joseph’s soul to forgive his brothers. It honored God and gave Joseph freedom from bitterness. God was patient with his journey. We should be patient with others and ourselves to forgive. Additional Scripture Study: Exodus 20:12 Proverbs 1:8-9 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. 1 Corinthians 12:26 Tuesday Day 3

23 3 Jacob[a] loved Joseph more than any of his other children because Joseph had been born to him in his old age. So one day Jacob had a special gift made for Joseph—a beautiful robe.[b] 4 But his brothers hated Joseph because their father loved him more than the rest of them. They couldn’t say a kind word to him. 5One night Joseph had a dream, and when he told his brothers about it, they hated him more than ever. 6 “Listen to this dream,” he said. 7 “We were out in the field, tying up bundles of grain. Suddenly my bundle stood up, and your bundles all gathered around and bowed low before mine!” 8 His brothers responded, “So you think you will be our king, do you? Do you actually think you will reign over us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dreams and the way he talked about them. 9 Soon Joseph had another dream, and again he told his brothers about it. “Listen, I have had another dream,” he said. “The sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed low before me!” 10 This time he told the dream to his father as well as to his brothers, but his father scolded him. “What kind of dream is that?” he asked. “Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow to the ground before you?” 11But while his brothers were jealous of Joseph, his father wondered what the dreams meant. 12 Soon after this, Joseph’s brothers went to pasture their father’s flocks at Shechem. 13 When they had been gone for some time, Jacob said to Joseph, “Your brothers are pasturing the sheep at Shechem. Get ready, and I will send you to them.” “I’m ready to go,” Joseph replied. 14 “Go and see how your brothers and the flocks are getting along,” Jacob said. “Then come back and bring me a report.” So Jacob sent him on his way, and Joseph traveled to Shechem from their home in the valley of Hebron. 15 When he arrived there, a man from the area noticed him wandering around the countryside. “What are you looking for?” he asked. 16 “I’m looking for my brothers,” Joseph replied. “Do you know where they are pasturing their sheep?” 17 “Yes,” the man told him. “They have moved on from here, but I heard them say, ‘Let’s go on to Dothan.’” So Joseph followed his brothers to Dothan and found them there. Joseph Sold into Slavery 18 When Joseph’s brothers saw him coming, they recognized him in the distance. As he approached, they made plans to kill him. 19 “Here comes the dreamer!” they said. 20 “Come on, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns. We can tell our father, ‘A wild animal has eaten him.’ Then we’ll see what becomes of his dreams!” 21 But when Reuben heard of their scheme, he came to Joseph’s rescue. “Let’s not kill him,” he said. 22 “Why should we shed any blood? Let’s just throw him into this empty cistern here in the wilderness. Then he’ll die without our laying a hand on him.” Reuben was secretly planning to rescue Joseph and return him to his father. 23 So when Joseph arrived, his brothers ripped off the beautiful robe he was wearing. 24 Then they grabbed him and threw him into the cistern. Now the cistern was empty; there was no water in it. 25 Then, just as they were sitting down to eat, they looked up and saw a caravan of camels in the distance coming toward them. It was a group of Ishmaelite traders taking a load of gum, balm, and aromatic resin from Gilead down to Egypt. 26 Judah said to his brothers, “What will we gain by killing our brother? We’d have to cover up the crime.[c] 27 Instead of hurting him, let’s sell him to those Ishmaelite traders. After all, he is our brother—our own flesh and blood!” And his brothers agreed. 28 So when the Ishmaelites, who were Midianite traders, came by, Joseph’s brothers pulled him out of the cistern and sold him to them for twenty pieces[d] of silver. And the traders took him to Egypt. Joseph Forgives His Brothers Day 3

24 42 When Jacob heard that grain was available in Egypt, he said to his sons, “Why are you standing around looking at one another? 2 I have heard there is grain in Egypt. Go down there, and buy enough grain to keep us alive. Otherwise we’ll die.” 3 So Joseph’s ten older brothers went down to Egypt to buy grain. 4 But Jacob wouldn’t let Joseph’s younger brother, Benjamin, go with them, for fear some harm might come to him. 5 So Jacob’s [a] sons arrived in Egypt along with others to buy food, for the famine was in Canaan as well. 6 Since Joseph was governor of all Egypt and in charge of selling grain to all the people, it was to him that his brothers came. When they arrived, they bowed before him with their faces to the ground. 7 Joseph recognized his brothers instantly, but he pretended to be a stranger and spoke harshly to them. “Where are you from?” he demanded. “From the land of Canaan,” they replied. “We have come to buy food.” Joseph Reveals His Identity 45 Joseph could stand it no longer. There were many people in the room, and he said to his attendants, “Out, all of you!” So he was alone with his brothers when he told them who he was. 2 Then he broke down and wept. He wept so loudly the Egyptians could hear him, and word of it quickly carried to Pharaoh’s palace. 3 “I am Joseph!” he said to his brothers. “Is my father still alive?” But his brothers were speechless! They were stunned to realize that Joseph was standing there in front of them. 4 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. So they came closer. And he said again, “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt. 5 But don’t be upset, and don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives. 6 This famine that has ravaged the land for two years will last five more years, and there will be neither plowing nor harvesting. 7God has sent me ahead of you to keep you and your families alive and to preserve many survivors. [a] 8 So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser[b] to Pharaoh—the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt. 9 “Now hurry back to my father and tell him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me master over all the land of Egypt. So come down to me immediately! 10 You can live in the region of Goshen, where you can be near me with all your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and everything you own. 11 I will take care of you there, for there are still five years of famine ahead of us. Otherwise you, your household, and all your animals will starve.’” What are your family’s best memories? What are your future dreams for your family? How have you seen God moving in your family through the years? What difficult events have you overcome as a family? How did those events make you closer? How has your family experienced God’s faithfulness?

I, __________________________, confess with my mouth the LORD Jesus, and I believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, therefore I am saved. I am God’s child. I am in God’s family! (Romans 10:9-10) WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO BE SAVED? There is no relationship on the earth more powerful than a husband and a wife and a family. Unified to love God, fight for their family and leave a Godly legacy. You are the two that Matthew 16:19 teaches about. Whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in heaven. And whatever you loose will be released. Satan trembles at the very thought of your unity going forward. And if you will make up your mind to build God’s way, evilness cannot stop you, a world void of truth cannot defeat you, and eternity will be shaken by you, your children, and your children’s children. God’s plans for family reach beyond just our homes and our relatives. He has created a family that will last forever, and the Bible has a lot to say about how it looks and how we should be a part of it. God also intended for His church to be a family. The church is not just a building. It is body of believers making up a family. God loves you so much, that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for your sins. Through the shedding of His blood and His death on the cross, you have a right to receive everlasting life-a free gift. A gift that you must receive through an act of your will. The Bible says, “All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God,” but, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is LORD, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved.” If you have never made Jesus the LORD of your life, you can do it today! 31
