The Pastor’s Letter

Dear Fellow Kingdom Builders,

What an exciting time in the Lord! God continues to perform His miraculous works
through our Church Family. We will celebrate the Fall Feasts consisting of the Feast of
th
th
Trumpets (sundown, September 9 through sundown, September 10 ), Day of
th
Atonement (sundown, September 18 through sundown, September 19 ), and the
th
th
rd
Feast of Tabernacles (sundown, September 23 through sundown, September 30 ). In
Leviticus 23, God instructs us to meet Him at appointed times to celebrate His love and
faithfulness.

The Fall Feasts begin with a 40-day period called Teshuva. Beginning at sundown on
th
th
August 9 through September 19 , we will enter into a season of reflection, repentance,
and reconciliation. During this time, begin to look inwardly and assess your life. Over
the past year, what has improved in your life? What needs to be changed? What could
you have done better? What do you need to repent for? Did your relationship grow
with the Lord? Did you spend adequate time with the Lord? These are some questions
that may be asked during this period. The Lord also requires us to work on broken
relationships. Is there someone in your life that you need to talk with and ask for their
forgiveness? Do you need to forgive a loved one, friend, or co-worker for a wrong that
was committed?

During Teshuva, we will reflect, repent, reconcile, remember, and rejoice. Mark your
calendars for our Church Family Fast (sundown, September 10 through sundown,
th
September 19 ) and the Fall Feasts. Our time under God is NOW!
th

How To Use The Kingdom Builders’ Power Guide

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears
us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have
asked of Him. I John 5:14-15

The Power Guide is designed as a tool for study, reflection and prayer. Each prayer is written based on
the model of the Lord’s Prayer (see Matthew 6:9-13).

In order to maximize the use of your guide, please follow the listed instructions.

1. Set aside a few minutes each day to pray individually, with your family or prayer partner(s).
Gradually build your prayer time with the Lord to at least thirty (30) to sixty (60) minutes each
day. You can split up your prayer time, if necessary, and pray a few minutes in the morning
and evening. You choose the time of day that is good for you. Find a comfortable place to
pray and turn off any distractions. If you have small children who need most of your attention,
pray the daily prayer with them. Let God’s Word saturate their hearing.

2. Refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar on page 5 for the specific prayer for the day. Only pray
for the prayer topic that is assigned to that day so that we are unified in our daily praying.
Please do not get ahead of the prayer for the day. Before praying the “Scriptural Prayer,”
first read the Scriptures listed for “Scripture Reading.”

3. Pray the assigned prayer out loud. There is power in your verbal expression. Parents, please
encourage your children to pray their prayer topics in the Children’s Power Guide out loud.
Youth (ages 13-17) may use the Adult Power Guide.

4. These prayers are intended to be a springboard to help you with your prayerful
conversations. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you to expand upon the prayer that you are
praying for the day. If you speak in tongues, please pray in tongues over each prayer topic.
Relax, listen and enjoy the Lord.

5. Record any reflections, revelations, or inspiration given by the Holy Spirit in the Prayer
Expectation section at the end of the Power Guide.

6. Believe that the Lord is hearing your prayer and know in your heart that your praying will
produce God’s results for the prayer topic you are praying for.

7. After praying, make your daily power confession by using the Daily Power Confessions
located on page 38 in the back of your Power Guide. When you speak God’s Word over your
life, you activate the power of His Word to work in your life and produce God’s results for
your life. Expect God’s Word to transform your life. I also recommend that you speak the
Power Confessions over your family.

8. All members are asked to attend Victory Wednesday on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. at The KBC.
Please refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar for your assigned Wednesday to attend Victory
Wednesday. Assignments are listed based on the first letter of your last name.

9. Enjoy your time spent with the Lord and thank you for helping to implement God’s plans for
our Church Family.

God Bless You!
Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell

Prayer Topic #1:
A Back-to-School Declaration for Our Educators and Students

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 111, Daniel 1

Reflections of the Heart:
A new school year brings with it new opportunities to grow, learn and develop new relationships. We expect
great and wonderful things this school year for the students and educators of our public and private schools.

Scriptural Prayer:

Our Father, we praise and thank You for our educators and students. Thank You for each school and school
district. Thank You for surrounding each educator and student with favor like a shield. We exalt You, our God
and King and praise Your Name forever and ever. We will praise You every day and forever. Lord You are
great and most worthy of praise; no one can measure Your greatness. Each generation will tell its children of
Your mighty acts and proclaim Your power. Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; Your
faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains and Your justice like
the ocean depths. As a Church Family, we come clapping our hands and shouting to You with joyful praise.
You are the Lord, Most High, and You are awesome! You are the great King of all the earth.

Triumphant Father, we confess that like Jesus, our students will grow in wisdom, stature and favor with You
and all people. We declare that they will focus on their studies during the school term and not grow distracted
or complacent. Each student will work willingly in their classes as though they were working for You. Lord, we
declare that no evil will conquer them, nor will any plague come near their homes. We expect for You to order
Your angels to protect them wherever they go. We decree that the wisdom of God will enter and rule in their
hearts. We confess that they will respect and obey the instructions of their parents, teachers and school
administrators. We declare that the wise instruction of the teachers will be like a life-giving fountain to each
student. In Jesus’ Name, each parent will direct their children onto the right path, and when they are older they
will not leave it. Our students will have good success because they will meditate daily and obey Your Word.

Holy Spirit, I will pray for the following educators and students in my family and community:
_______________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, impart into our students Your spirit of excellence, like Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego.
Bless our educators for their service to the Houston community and surrounding communities. Help them to
remain committed to their educational “calling.” Keep them safe in their classrooms and lead and guide them
as they teach. Grant each teacher wisdom, creativity, and grace to teach each child according to his or her
needs, level of intelligence, and learning capabilities. Increase the wisdom and understanding of each parent
on how to partner with the schools to achieve success in their student’s education. Bless the homes of each
student to be a place of love, peace and support. We ask You to increase the capacity of the students to learn,
comprehend and excel in all areas of their education including: reading, mathematics, sciences, arts, and all
required testing. During their extracurricular activities, please protect them from injury. Help each student to
develop Godly friendships this school year. Holy Spirit, create within each student, teacher, and administrator
an excitement, passion and academic desire as they enter the new school year.

Merciful Father, forgive the sins of our educators and students (list the specific sins). Forgive those of us in
the Body of Christ, for being negligent in teaching our students to first reverence You, which is the foundation
of true knowledge. Forgive those parents for sacrificing their students to excessive television, video games,
music and to the ways and customs of the world. Forgive us, as a nation, for devaluing the worth of teachers
and education. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our educators
and students of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to
my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces

8

of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now,
trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help our educators and students not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Exalted Lord, You are worthy to receive glory, honor and power. You created all things, and they exist because
You created what You pleased. Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.

Prayer Topic #2:
A Prayer of Salvation for Those Who Have Not Accepted Jesus Christ as Their Savior and Lord

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 104:1-23, John 3:1-21

Reflections of the Heart:
When someone gives you a gift, it is usually because you have done something to deserve it, or in celebration
of a birthday, wedding or anniversary. The action to follow is your response, usually an expected reciprocation
of what was given. The gift of salvation is free; it is yours. The only required response is for you to say “yes”
to Jesus Christ and receive it.

Scriptural Prayer:

Our Father, we thank You for Your tender mercies and unfailing love. Thank You for providing a way for sinners
to be reconciled back to You. Thank You for enlightening our hearts to say “yes” to You when You called us.
Thank You for extending Your mercy toward us every day. Lord, You are great and Your power is absolute.
Your understanding is beyond comprehension. We come clapping our hands and shouting joyful praises to
You, our God. Most High, You are awesome! You are the great King of all the earth. We meditate on Your
unfailing love as we worship in Your temple. Your Name will be praised to the ends of the earth. We honor You,
as our Lord and Savior.

Awesome Father, it is Your desire that all men be saved and that they come to the knowledge of the truth. We
confess that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the only door by which people are saved.
We declare that when our unsaved family members, friends and enemies confess with their mouths, the Lord
Jesus, and believe in their hearts that You raised Jesus from the dead, they will be saved. Father, we declare
that they will know the truth, and the truth will set them free. As a Church Family, we gladly take the great
commission and go into the world preaching the Good News to everyone You place in our paths. We confess
that we are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ because we know that it is Your power, God, at work
saving everyone who believes. In Jesus’ Name, we will share the Good News at every opportunity that is
presented to us.

Compassionate Father, we cry out to You to clear the way so that Your Gospel may be preached in every city,
state, country, and continent. Since the harvest is plentiful, please send laborers to proclaim Your Word of
salvation to the unsaved. We ask You to save our unsaved family members, friends, co-workers, and enemies.
Surround them with the counsel of the Godly so that they may be washed in the water of Your Word; putting
away the old man and putting on the new. Holy Spirit, as the Word goes forth, please touch the hearts of the
unsaved to receive it. Help us, the Body of Christ, to present the Gospel with love, hope and patience. Father,
we ask You to remove the scales from the eyes and circumcise the hearts of those who are in a backslidden
state. Like the prodigal child, help them to come to themselves and return to You, their first love. Holy Spirit,
remind them that nothing can ever separate them from God’s love; not death, life, angels, demons, fears for
today or worries about tomorrow, not even the powers of hell can separate them from the Father’s love.

List the people that you know who are unsaved or backslidden. Ask the Holy Spirit for the wisdom to
witness to them. Trust Him to give you the courage to approach them and the words to say to them.

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Everlasting Father, forgive the unsaved and backsliders for not acknowledging You or Your Son. Forgive them
for disobedience, hatred, rebellion, lack of faith, disobedience, and rejection of Your Gospel. Please have mercy
upon them and extend Your grace towards them. Forgive us as a Church Family for not sharing Jesus and the
Gospel with more people. Forgive us for being timid and reserved about sharing the Gospel. Forgive us for
not reaching out to those who we know are in a backslidden state. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you
have committed). Holy Spirit, remind the unsaved and backsliders of those they need to forgive and help them

to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment
and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals
them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused
by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Holy, Holy, Holy, are You, the Lord God Almighty. You are worthy, to receive glory, honor and power. To You,
the blessed, and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in
unapproachable light. To You be honor and everlasting power. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #3:
A Declaration of Kingdom Praise and Worship

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 147, II Chronicles 5

Reflections of the Heart:
Worship always involves the offering of gifts (time, talent, money, praise) to The King, indicating the citizen’s
awareness that everything (s)he enjoys is at the pleasure of The King. ~ Dr. Myles Munroe

Scriptural Prayer:

Almighty Father, we thank You for the exuberant praise and worship during our weekend Worship Celebrations.
Thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ, who makes our worship experience possible. Holy Spirit, we thank You
for Your manifested presence saturating the sanctuary and our congregation as we gather to exalt the Name of
the King of kings and Lord of lords. You are great and perform wondrous deeds. You alone are God. We
praise You for Your loving kindness and for Your truth and faithfulness. Father, through all generations You
have been our home! Before the mountains were born, before You gave birth to the earth and the world, from
beginning to end, You are God.

Royal Father, as Kingdom citizens, we shout with joy to You. We worship You with gladness and come before
Your presence with joyful singing. You are the Lord, our God! You made us, and we are Yours. We are Your
people, the sheep of Your pasture. We enter with thanksgiving and come into Your courts with praise. We give
thanks to You and praise Your Name. Lord, You are good; Your unfailing love continues forever and Your
faithfulness to each generation. We enter into Your sanctuary with our thanksgiving and praise. We declare
that our worship and praise will produce spectacular sounds like the Levites who praised You in Your holy
temple. As You inhabit our praises, we declare that salvation, healing, restoration and deliverance will come
forth. By faith, we declare that every member of the Body of Christ will worship You in Spirit and Truth. By
doing this, we will become the true worshippers You are seeking.

List three praise scriptures that honor the Father. Meditate on these scriptures throughout the week
and come prepared to offer high praise to Him when you come to church. On your way to church, begin
to declare God’s glory!:

Holy Spirit, since our worship is a direct reflection of our relationship with the Father, help each of us to examine
that relationship and make whatever adjustments are needed so that our praise may be pleasing to our King.
Let Your glory fill us and our churches. Help us to live lifestyles of praise and not wait until we get to Church to
begin to exalt our King. Sanctify and purify our hearts so that our worship is a sweet aroma to God, our Father,
as we sing melodious songs of praise to Him.

Merciful Father, forgive us for allowing our emotions and circumstances to dictate the level of praise that we
offer to You. Forgive those who intentionally arrive late to service in an attempt to miss praise and worship.
Forgive those who do not actively participate in praise and worship. Forgive those who are not living lives that
reflect their love for You. Lord, forgive me for (list the sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us
all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my
remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of
people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust
the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all not yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Sovereign Lord, God Almighty, You are glorious! You are the Rock; Your deeds are perfect. Everything You
do is just and fair. You are the faithful God who does no wrong. Now to You, the King, eternal, immortal,
invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #4:
A Declaration of God’s Provision

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 115, Deuteronomy 28:8-14

Reflections of the Heart:
“We can be certain that God will give us the strength and resources we need to live through any situation in
life that He ordains. The will of God will never take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us.”
~ Billy Graham
Scriptural Prayer:

Divine Father, we thank You for Your grace. Thank You for knowing exactly what we need before we even ask.
Thank You for never abandoning us or leaving our children begging for bread. Thank You for being our faithful
source. We have always been able to depend on Your goodness. We take delight in You, Lord. We commit
everything we do to You because we know we can trust You to help us. You direct our steps and You delight in
every detail of our lives. Even though we sometimes stumble, we will never fall because You hold us by Your
hand. You love us with an unfailing love and Your faithfulness endures forever. We find comfort in knowing that
the very hairs on our heads are all numbered. Therefore, we are not afraid because we know how much You
value us. We praise You Lord, for You have shown us the wonders of Your unfailing love!

Almighty Father, as a Church Family, we declare that we will not worry about what we will eat, what we will
drink, or what we will wear. We trust that You already know our needs, so we will simply commit to seeking
Your Kingdom above all else and living righteously. Then, we can expect everything we need to be added to
us. We decree that we will keep the gates of provision open by giving cheerfully and not reluctantly. We know
that if we continue to be obedient in our giving that You will generously provide all that we need. Not only that,
but we will have plenty to share with others. We declare that we will learn to do good by meeting the urgent
needs of others. We confess that our love for You, Father, will not be overshadowed by a love for the material
things Your goodness provides for us. We believe that You will faithfully answer our prayers with awesome
deeds. You crown the year with a bountiful harvest. Even the hard pathways overflow with abundance. We
decree that You are our sun and shield, giving us grace and glory. You will withhold no good thing from us when
we do what is right.

Reflect on the goodness of God and praise Him for what He has provided for you this year:

Holy Spirit, help us to acknowledge our motives when we ask for things. Help us to seek the Father only for
what belongs to us, not to covet what doesn’t. Help us to trust the Lord completely with our needs. Remind us
that the Father causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according
to His purpose for them. Help us to keep a generous heart even when times are tough. Show us areas where
we need to fortify our faith in God’s faithfulness to us. Help us to teach our children to honor the Lord for all that
He does for us. Remind us that we are not to compete with one another, chasing after status and possessions.
Keep our feet firmly planted on the ground. Remind us to keep a Kingdom perspective in all that we do. Sharpen
our discernment to recognize opportunities to sow seed into good ground. Deliver us from being fearful about
how our needs will be met.

Faithful Father, forgive us for being greedy, selfish, arrogant, rude, impatient, and thoughtless. Forgive us for
murmuring and complaining while we wait for manifestation in our lives. Forgive us for our lack of good
stewardship over what we already have. Forgive us for lying, cheating, and even stealing to get ahead. Forgive
us for withholding our best gifts from You. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy
Spirit, remind us of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring
to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or

14

faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).”
Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

We praise You, Lord! How amazing are Your deeds! Everything You do reveals Your glory and majesty. We
know Your greatness, Father; that You are greater than any other god. You do whatever pleases You throughout
all heaven and earth, and on the seas and in their depths. Your Name endures forever. Your fame is known to
every generation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #5:
A Declaration of Joy

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 119:57-65, Psalm 16:7-11

Reflections of the Heart:
“I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!” John 15:11

Scriptural Prayer:

Omniscient Father, we thank You for being our God. We thank You for saving us through the sacrifice of Your
Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. We thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to instruct, guide, teach and comfort us.
Thank You, Holy Spirit, for empowering us and filling our lives with joy. Hallel YAH! Awesome Father, You are
great and greatly to be praised. You are to be feared above all gods. The earth is Yours and everything in it;
the world and all its people belong to You. You laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean
depths. Lord, Your works are wonderful. You are our help and shield. In You, do our hearts rejoice because
we trust in Your holy Name. Let Your unfailing love continue to surround us Lord, for our hope is in You alone.

Wonderful Father, as a Church Family, we declare that as we keep Your commands and abide in Your love;
Your joy will remain in us and our joy will overflow. We know that the joy of the Lord is our strength, so we
decree that we will not allow the cares of this life to cause us to stray from You, Your Word or our faith in Your
promises. We will maintain our Godly joy on a daily basis because greater is the Holy Spirit in us, than any
spirit that lives in the world. Today, we confess that we will count it all joy when we fall into various trials, knowing
that the testing of our faith produces patience. We will let patience have its perfect work in us so that we may
be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Lord, we confess that instead of shame and dishonor; we will enjoy
a double share of honor. We boldly declare that in the land we will possess a double portion of prosperity and
everlasting joy will be ours.

What is keeping you from walking in God’s joy? Jot those things down, and then talk to God about
them:

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, please instruct us in our families, relationships, ministries, careers and finances. Make our hearts
strong, blameless, and holy as we stand before God, our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all
His holy people. Remind us daily of the Word which tells us that a cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken
spirit saps a person’s strength. Holy Spirit, please help each of us to develop a joyful disposition. Help us all
to enjoy life and laugh more.

Loving Father, forgive us for any acts of sinfulness, including strife, discord, jealousy, rivalries, gossip and any
abuse of power. Forgive us for allowing the cares of life to cause us to momentarily lose our joy. Lord, forgive
me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and
help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take
a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As
He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your
soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Immortal Lord, You are the blessed and only Almighty God. The King of kings, and the Lord of lords. You alone
can never die. You live in light so brilliant that no human can approach You. No human eye has ever seen
You, nor ever will. To You belongs all honor and power forever and ever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #6:
A Prayer for God’s Favor

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 103:1-8, Isaiah 61

Reflections of the Heart:
It is the Lord’s good pleasure to bless us. So, “may the Lord, the God of our ancestors, multiply us a thousand
times more and bless us as He has promised!” Deuteronomy 1:11 (NLT)

Scriptural Prayer:

Our Father, we give thanks to You for You are faithful even when we have been faithless. You are the Most
High God, the only true and living God. You are excellent in all of Your ways. The heavens are Your throne
and the earth Your footstool. Lord, You are good and Your faithful love endures forever. You are the great I
Am, the Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. You are our Creator and
Savior. We will continually sing praises to You and declare that You are the King over all of the earth!

Righteous Father, we declare that favor surrounds us like a shield! We will stand on Your Word and speak
Your truth. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light unto our path. Lord, it is Your will that we live life
abundantly. Therefore, we confess that we will walk by faith and not by sight as we trust in Your precious
promises. Lord, we trust and believe that no good thing will be kept from us as we walk uprightly before You.
Lord, we expect You to put a wall of protection around us so that we will prosper in everything we do.

God’s favor is upon my life in the following areas?

Holy Spirit, please show us Your ways, teach us Your paths and lead us in Your truth. Help us to consistently
demonstrate our gratitude to the Father for the abundant blessings in our lives and to always bring Him glory.
Give us wisdom and vision so that our relationships bring honor to You. Strengthen us as we tell of Your favor
to encourage our families and all those who are not seeking You. Lord, protect us from hurt and harm, fill our
hearts with Your joy.

Holy Spirit, forgive us for all acts of sinfulness including jealousy, rivalries, violence, injustice, hatred,
oppression, greed, idolatry, pride, slander, lewd behaviors, selfish ambition, abuse of any type and division.
Forgive those who choose not to trust in You. Forgive those who are Christians for not sharing Your Gospel
with their family members, co-workers and others with whom they interact. Holy Spirit, remind us of those we
need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need
to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need

Prayer Topic #7:
A Prayer for Godly Friends for Our Children and Youth

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 95:1-7, I Samuel 18:1-4, John 15:12-17

Reflections of the Heart:
“The only way to have a friend is to be one.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson, American philosopher and poet

Scriptural Prayer:

Gracious God, thank You for loving us so much that You sent Jesus Christ to be our Lord, Savior and Friend.
Thank You for creating the gift of friendship and blessing us with Godly relationships. Thank You for calling us
Your friends. We are honored to be Your friend. Abba Father, Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how
we praise You! We will praise You as long as we live, lifting up our hands to You in prayer. We will praise Your
Name with singing, and we will honor You with thanksgiving. We give thanks to You because You are near.
People everywhere will tell of Your wonderful deeds.

Heavenly Father, we confess that it is Your will that our children and youth develop and maintain Godly, healthy
friendships. Your Word declares that two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.
If one falls, the other can reach out and help; but someone who falls alone is in real trouble. We declare that
our children and youth will have Godly friends who will seek first Your Kingdom above all else, and live
righteously so that they will receive from You all that they need. We decree that their friends will love You, Lord,
with all of their hearts, souls, minds and strength and they will love our children and youth as they love
themselves. We decree that the parents and guardians of our youth and children will model friendships that
are wholesome and Godly so that they will understand what friendship really looks like. In Jesus’ Name, we
cancel every toxic friendship and destroy the assignments of the devil against our children and youth. We
confess that our young people will not follow the advice of the wicked, stand around with sinners, or join in with
mockers.

I will pray for the following children and youth to find and maintain healthy, Godly friendships:

_______________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________________

Loving Father, some of our children and youth struggle when it comes to making friends. Holy Spirit, please
help them to walk in the love of Christ and draw Godly friends to themselves. In their quest for friendship, help
our children and youth to love themselves. Instruct our parents and guardians on how to help their child or youth
to see themselves through the Father’s eyes. Give them the words to be able to help their child or youth to
understand how precious Your thoughts are towards them. As they grow in self-esteem and self-worth, help
them to grow in boldness and confidence in the way that they carry themselves so that they will attract Godly,
positive people into their lives. Help our children and youth to be kind, fair, and friendly.

Merciful Father, forgive our children and youth if they have intentionally isolated other students or made others
to feel inferior. Forgive them for succumbing to peer pressure in their desire to fit in with a certain group of
people. Forgive our parents and guardians for not teaching their children how to be good friends and affirming
them in Your Word. Forgive them if they have belittled or made light of their child or youth’s desire to have
friends. As for me, Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our
children and youth of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit,
bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names
or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).”
Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

20

Holy Spirit, help our children and youth not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Glorious King, You are honored in Judah; Your Name is great in Israel. You are glorious and more majestic
than the everlasting mountains. You are the King of Glory; the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord invincible in
battle! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #8:
A Prayer for Our Young Adults

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 119:9-16, Jeremiah 29:11-13

Reflections of the Heart:
Young Adulthood is an exciting time filled with new found freedoms, opportunities and responsibilities. Let’s
pray for the young adults in our Church Family so that they will successfully navigate through these years and
allow the Lord to lead and guide them.

Scriptural Prayer:

Marvelous Father, we thank You for the young adults in our Church Family. Thank You for the bright and
prosperous future that You have for each of them. Thank You for the blood of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ,
that brought us all near to You. Great is Your faithfulness. Your mercies are fresh every morning. We praise
Your great and awesome Name. Your Name is holy! It is because of Your faithfulness that our young adults are
kept strong in You and the power of Your might.

Faithful Father, we declare that the young adults in our Church Family are confident they have been raised from
the dead along with Christ, and they are seated in the heavenly realms because they are united with Him. They
are new people. Their old lives are gone, and a new life has begun! Lord, it is Your will that they be joyful
always, ceaseless in prayer, and thankful in all circumstances. In Jesus’ Name, we declare that they are free
from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. They do only those things that lead to holiness and
result in eternal life. We declare that wisdom will enter their hearts, and knowledge will fill them with joy. Wise
choices will watch over them and understanding will keep them safe. We decree that they are living wisely and
making the most of every opportunity.

Father, I commit to encouraging and praying for the following young adults:
_______________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, help our young adults to strip off every weight that slows them down; especially the sin that so easily
trips them up. Teach them to run with endurance the race God has set before them. Search them, O God, and
know their hearts. Test them and know their anxious thoughts. Point out anything in them that offends You, and
lead them along the path of everlasting life. Help them to daily trust in the Lord with all of their hearts and not
lean to their own understanding, to seek His will in all that they do so that He can show them which path to take.
Show them how to make divine connections with others who will hold them accountable and help keep them
focused and pressing toward the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling them. Lord,
show them the place and position that You have ordained for them in Your Kingdom. Help us as a Church
Family to embrace and empower our young adults to stand strong in their Kingdom faith.

Compassionate Father, forgive our young adults collectively and individually for the sinful acts that they have
committed against You, including: idolatry, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, homosexuality,
selfish ambitions, fornication, envy, drunkenness, division and disobedience. Forgive them for times when they
have lost sight of who they are in Christ Jesus. Forgive us as a Church Family where we have not acknowledged
or embraced our young adults. Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit,
remind our young adults of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy
Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal
names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of
person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

22

Holy Spirit, help our young adults not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Almighty God, You alone are God. You are the First and the Last. It was Your hand that laid the foundations
of the earth; Your right hand that spread out the heavens above. When You call out the stars, they all appear
in order. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the
heavens and on earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer of Blessings for Our Windsor Village Church Family

Scripture Reading:
Nehemiah 9:6-7, Isaiah 62

Reflections of the Heart:
May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord
show you His favor and give you His peace. Numbers 6:24-26 (NLT)

Scriptural Prayer:

Faithful Father, we thank You for the Pastors and members in the Windsor Village Church Family. Thank You,
Lord, for Your blessings upon our church, homes, and jobs. Thank You for Your amazing presence in our lives,
both corporately and individually. Father, may Your glorious Name be praised! We exalt Your Name above all
blessing and praise. You alone are the Lord; You made the skies and the heavens and all the stars. You made
the earth and the seas and everything in them. You preserve them all, and the angels of heaven worship You.
We will give to You, Lord, the glory You deserve. We will bring our offering as we come into Your presence.
We will worship You in all of Your holy splendor.

Exalted Father, let it be unto us according to Your Word. As a Church Family, we confess that as we come
close to You, You will come close to us. We expect that all Your blessings will come upon us and overtake us
because we are committed to obeying Your voice. We confess that our towns and our fields are blessed. Our
children and the works of our hands are blessed. Wherever we go and whatever we do, we are blessed. We
declare that we are refreshed by the autumn rains as well as the rains of spring. Lord, we decree in our lives
that which was lost is restored and we will eat plenty and be satisfied. According to Your Word, we declare that
we will feed on the treasures of the nations and boast in their riches. Instead of shame and dishonor, we will
possess a double portion of honor. We will possess a double portion of prosperity in the land and everlasting
joy will be ours. Lord, we always expect You to pour out Your Spirit upon us and show wonders in the heavens
and on the earth. We declare that our marriages are blessed and holy, our families are whole and vibrant, and
our bodies are healthy and strong.

What areas of your life appear to be lacking? Find God’s promises concerning those issues and declare
them over your situations:

Holy Spirit, as the blessings begin to overtake us, remind us to be a blessing to others. Flood our hearts with
light so that we can understand the confident hope that the Father has given us, His holy people, who are His
rich and glorious inheritance. Help us to continue to grow spiritually as a Church Family. Remind us to always
be thankful to God, our Father, and Jesus, our Brother. Help us understand that it is God who gives us the
power to be successful so that the covenant He made with our ancestors will be confirmed. Lord, please help
us to be faithful to the vision of our church and the steadfastness of Your Word.

Generous Father, please forgive us for the sins of disobedience, hypocrisy, selfish-ambitions, pride, gossip, and
perversion. Forgive us where we have misappropriated Your blessings in the past. Forgive us for not studying
Your Word like we should and neglecting our prayer life. Forgive us for depending on our own strength and
intellect instead of Your supernatural power and authority. Forgive us for not operating in the fruit and gifts of
Your Spirit. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those
we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I
need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may
need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any
wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

24

Holy Spirit, as a Church Family, help us to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Triumphant Lord, You are our stronghold. The heavens declare Your glory and the skies display Your
craftsmanship. You are the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth. Lord, You are worthy to receive
glory, honor, and power. You created all things and they exist because You created what You pleased. In
Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #10:
A Prayer for Our Ailing/Sick Family Members

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 144:1-3, 9-10, James 5:13-16

Reflections of the Heart:
In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in
my name, and they will speak new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink
anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”
Therefore, let us do what Jesus did as we pray for our sick family members!

Scriptural Prayer:

Glorious Father, we thank You for salvation, the greatest miracle of all. Thank You for Your eternal love and
unmerited grace. Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to break the power of the devil and to bring us hope,
health, and healing. We give thanks because You are near. People everywhere will tell of Your wonderful deeds.
Lord, You are good and Your unfailing love endures forever. You are great, and You perform wonderful deeds.
You alone are God. How great are Your signs and how powerful are Your wonders!

Awesome Father, Jesus Christ, Your Son, turned water into wine, cleansed lepers, healed the sick, raised the
dead, and fed five thousand people with two fish and five loaves of bread. Jesus did many other signs in the
presence of His disciples so that we would believe that He is the Christ, the Son of God, and have life in His
Name. We believe Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever. Therefore; Father, we expect You
to display Your glory in the lives of our ailing/sick family members who are in need of healing and deliverance.
With You, nothing is impossible! We expect diseases to be dissolved, broken relationships to be mended, and
those who are held captive in their minds and souls to be set free. As we pray for them, we confess that Your
healing power will operate through us. In Jesus’ Name, we declare healing for (list the names of your
ailing/sick family members who are in need of healing; encourage them to pray scriptures of healing
located at http://myprayerinstitute.wordpress.com).

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, as believers, please help us to be bolder about praying for our family members. Help our family
members who are in need of healing to trust in You with all of their hearts and not depend on their own
understanding. Holy Spirit, please open the eyes of their understanding so that they will understand the
confident hope given to those Christ has called. Remind our family members to look to You for help, strength,
and power. Father, cause Your healing power to be experienced throughout our families, church and
community.

Merciful Father, forgive our family members who have doubted Your Word and Your works. Forgive them for
acting Godly, but denying Your power to perform healings, signs and wonders in their lives and in the lives of
others. Lord, please forgive them and restore to them the joy of Your salvation. Lord, forgive me for (list any
sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and please help us to
forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask
the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them,
say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by
unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, You are the Almighty! Only You can open the eyes of the blind and unplug the ears of the deaf. You
cause the lame to leap like deer and those who cannot speak to sing for joy. You cause springs to gush forth in

the wilderness and streams to water the wasteland. You cause the parched ground to become a pool and
springs of water to satisfy the thirsty land. Great and awesome is Your Name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #11:
A Declaration of Success for The Power Center

Scripture Reading:
I Chronicles 29:10-15, Proverbs 16:1-9

Reflections of the Heart:
God has blessed our Church Family with such an incredible facility. The Power Center is a monument of His
greatness and His favor. God always keeps His promises to us, so let’s keep our promise to pray continually
for The Power Center.

Scriptural Prayer:

Magnificent Father, as a Church Family, we thank You for The Power Center. Thank You for the employment
and business opportunities You have brought into our community through The Power Center. Thank You for
using The Power Center to attract businesses, wealth, health and hope to this community. This is Your doing
and it is marvelous in our eyes. Lord, You are great and greatly to be praised. You are to be feared above all
gods. We exalt You, our God and King, and praise You every day. Each generation will tell its children of Your
mighty acts; they will proclaim Your power. Lord, Your works are wonderful. We are grateful that when we, the
righteous, cry out, You hear and deliver us out of our troubles.

Lord Jesus, You are the cornerstone upon which The Power Center was constructed. Let it be unto The Power
Center according to Your Word. Lord, we expect the double portion for The Power Center. We expect that You
will turn and leave Your blessings upon The Power Center staff and its occupants. We declare that You will
continue to bless and protect every staff member, entrepreneur and client of The Power Center. As they walk
uprightly, Lord, we know that You will withhold no good thing from them. We confess that all Your blessings
will come upon them and overtake them, because they will obey Your voice. They are blessed in the city and
in the country. We believe that You will command blessings on their storehouses and on the works of their
hands. We confess that You will cause the latter rain to come down for The Power Center and its occupants,
and You will send them enough business to satisfy their needs. We confess that You will pour out Your Spirit
on The Power Center and its occupants and You will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth. We declare
peace within the walls of The Power Center and prosperity throughout the entire complex.

Holy Spirit, show me what I can do to be a blessing to The Power Center occupants:

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Awesome Father, we ask that You would surround the board of directors, executive director, staff and occupants
of The Power Center with Your favor like a shield. We ask that Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel,
and power rest on each of them. Give them the resources to provide programs of economic, emotional, and
social empowerment for the Houston community. Fill them with the knowledge of Your will and give them a
thirst for Your Word so that they can learn Your ways for practicing business. Holy Spirit, help them to make
righteous decisions and operate with justice, practical insight and integrity. We ask that You will continue to
bless The Power Center and make its name great so that it will continue to be a blessing to this community.
Lord, please open new revenue streams for The Power Center. Holy Spirit, touch the public and private sectors
to continue to invest resources into The Power Center. Lord, build a hedge of protection around The Power
Center that cannot be penetrated by vandalism or theft.

Forgiving Father, forgive us for taking The Power Center for granted. Forgive the clients and the staff of The
Power Center for all acts of sin, including racism, injustice, lying, stealing and mediocrity. Forgive those staff
members and occupants for not trusting You to be their provider, protector, and deliverer. Father, forgive me
for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help
us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a
moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He

reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul
caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

You are the Blessed and Sovereign One. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. You alone have
immortality, dwelling in an unapproachable light, whom no man can see. Yours is the Kingdom, the power and

Prayer Topic #12:
A Prayer of Heightened Success for Business Professionals

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 108, Genesis 41:47-57

Reflections of the Heart:
God believes in heightened personal and business success. He wants His people to thrive and nations to
flourish. Psalm 33:12 states, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His
own inheritance.”

Scriptural Prayer:

Holy Father, we thank You for giving business professionals all that they need because You are their Shepherd.
Thank You for providing for Your children, even in tough economic times. Thank You for being the source of
their supply. Thank You for taking care of business professionals and supplying all of their needs from Your
glorious riches, which have been given to them in Christ Jesus. Father, You created the heavens and the earth
and everything in it. You give breath to everyone and life to everyone who walks the earth. O Sovereign Lord,
business professionals will praise Your mighty deeds. They will tell everyone that You alone are just.

Heavenly Father, we expect business professionals to honor Your Word and live by Your precepts. We
command light to shine in the darkness for the Godly. By faith, we declare that they are generous,
compassionate, and righteous. Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their businesses
fairly. Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. During all
phases of the economic cycle, we declare prosperity and personal fulfillment for business professionals in every
corner of the world. They will not fear bad news; they confidently trust You, Lord, to care for them. They are
confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly. They share freely and give generously to those in
need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor. Lord, in scripture,
You said You will bless them and they will be a blessing to others. As a result, we confess that business
professionals will receive Your abundant blessings. They will, in turn, be great bosses for their employees and
outstanding contributors to their communities.

Holy Spirit, how can I specifically pray for business professionals?
_______________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, touch the hearts of successful business professionals to support and mentor others who are
struggling or new to the profession. Help them to establish fair and honest business practices so that customers,
clients, coworkers or other businesses will gain from working with or doing business with them. Show them
new and creative ways to increase their revenues without taking advantage of patrons with whom they interact
and encourage them to make giving back a priority. Convict the hearts of business professionals who take their
gifts and talents for granted, treat their employees and customers poorly, or neglect their families and friends,
to study God’s Word and live their lives accordingly. Holy Spirit, help them to work willingly at whatever they
do as though they are working for the Lord rather than for people.

Righteous Father, forgive business professionals for all acts of sinfulness. Forgive those who have not been
diligent in seeking Your leadership. Forgive those who do not trust in You and Your business principles but
lean on their own understanding. Forgive those who have compromised Your Word in order to make a profit.
Forgive those who have not treated others fairly. Forgive those who have not properly taken care of or shown
respect for colleagues, families or friends. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy
Spirit, remind business professionals of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for
me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit
to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive
name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

30

Holy Spirit, help business professionals not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Sovereign Lord, You are Holy, Holy, Holy. You are the God who is, who was, and who is to come. You are the
Almighty. You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. You are the Eternal King, the Unseen
One who will never die; You alone are God. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #13:
A Declaration for the Weather in the Houston Metropolitan Area

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 84, I Kings 17:1-7

Reflections of the Heart:
In Mark 4:35-39, Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with His head on a cushion. Fearful, His disciples
woke Him because of the raging storm in the Sea of Galilee. Jesus awoke, rebuked the storm and the storm
ceased. Be assured that when Jesus is on board, the weather will listen.

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for protecting the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area during this season. Thank
You for blessing our city with abundance, peace, and security. Thank You for granting us the authority to speak
peace to both spiritual and natural storms. You are a great and merciful Father. Lord, You have performed many
wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If we tried to recite all of Your
wonderful deeds, we would never come to the end of them. May Your Name be kept holy. By Your awesome
power, You made the earth and You preserve it by Your infinite wisdom. Lord, with Your understanding You
stretched out the heavens. We will meditate on Your majestic, glorious splendor and Your wonderful miracles.

Today, using the power and authority Jesus Christ has given you, go outside and speak to the weather
as you continue praying this prayer:

Worthy Father, it is Your will that we imitate You in everything we do, because we are Your dear children. When
the storm was raging in the Sea of Galilee, Jesus spoke to it and said, “peace, be still!” Your Word says, “And
the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” With the start of hurricane season, we look to Jesus as our model
and command peace to be still in the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. We know that faith is the confidence
that what we hope for will actually happen; it’s the assurance about things we cannot see. Therefore, by faith,
we confess that the sea surface temperature in the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico will not rise above 80
degrees. We confess that the wind shear in the Atlantic will cut any storms off in the development stage and
hinder vertical rings of clouds from forming. We confess that the barometric pressure and air density will not
drop to a level that would allow violent storm and hurricane disturbances. We declare calm weather for the
Houston Metropolitan Area and the Gulf Coast region during hurricane season. We decree that the weather
will be a perfect balance of sunshine, rain and moderate temperatures.

Holy Spirit, help each believer to walk in boldness and authority and expect the weather to be calm as we decree
Your Word over the weather situation. Lord Jesus, You said we could ask anything in Your Name, so we ask
You to touch the hearts of believers throughout this region to decree Your Word concerning the weather. Lord,
please bless the farmers and cattlemen to recovery from last year’s drought and bless them with a prosperous
year.

Faithful Father, forgive the residents of our city for all acts of sinfulness that would cause the weather to respond
in a harmful way. Forgive us for not believing that all things are possible through Jesus Christ who strengthens
us. Forgive us for walking in doubt, unbelief, arrogance, and pride. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you
have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As
for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit
to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive
name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Majestic Lord, You are the blessed and only Sovereign One. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords, who
rides across the ancient heavens. O God, You are awesome in Your sanctuary. You are the God of Israel who
gives strength and power to Your people. Blessed are You, forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #14:
A Prayer of Preparation for the Fall Feasts

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 19:1-11, Leviticus 23:23-44

Reflections of the Heart:
Take an introspective look of your life over the past year. What needs to change in your life? What will you do
differently? What will you continue to do that will add value? As you look back over your life, remember the
wonderful things God has done for you. Our time under God is NOW!

Scriptural Prayer:

Incredible Father, we thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us from the power of the evil
one. Thank You, for Your appointed times and seasons. Thank You for setting aside special times to celebrate
Your goodness and faithfulness in our lives. We are thankful for Your presence in our lives. We love You,
Father. The earth is Yours and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to You. You laid the earth’s
foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths.

Majestic Father, as a Church Family, we make preparations to celebrate the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of
Atonement and the Feast of Tabernacles and we expect to experience Your love, power, and presence. On
the day of the Feast of Trumpets, when the trumpets sound, we as a Church Family will assemble together and
respond to the call to honor Your faithfulness. During the Day of Atonement, we will afflict our souls with prayer
and fasting. We will re-evaluate our lives, repent for our sins, and draw closer to You. During the Feast of
Tabernacles, we will remember that Christ has become our High Priest over all the good things that have come.
He has entered that greater, more perfect Tabernacle in heaven, which was not made by human hands. Jesus
Christ, our big brother, has secured our redemption forever.

Loving Father, please extend Your mercy toward us as we prepare for this consecrated season. Holy Spirit,
please help us to prepare our hearts and minds in the way that is pleasing to our Father. Help us to reflect,
repent and remember. Please help us to slow down during this holy season to reassess our lives with You.
Show us what needs to be changed or improved in our lives. Continue to touch our hearts about Your will for
our lives. Cause Your peace to settle into our hearts.

I am committed to preparing myself for the Fall Feasts by:

Merciful Lord, forgive us for all acts of sinfulness including: idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,
outbursts of wrath, homosexuality, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness,
revelries, unbelief, and rebellion. Forgive us for not spending enough time with You. Forgive those who do
not choose to observe Your appointed Feasts. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).
Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

O King of nations, who would not fear You? That title belongs to You alone! Among all the wise people of the
earth and in all the kingdoms of the world, there is no one like You. You are the only true and living God and
the everlasting King! The whole earth trembles at Your anger and the nations hide before Your wrath. In Jesus’
Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #15:
A Prayer for Political Leaders of the World

Scripture Reading:
Psalm 99:1-5, Psalm 1

Reflections of the Heart:
In a time of domestic crisis, men of goodwill and generosity should be able to unite regardless of party or
politics. ~ John F. Kennedy

Scriptural Prayer:

We praise Your Name, Father, forever and ever. You have all wisdom and power. You control the course of
world events, removing and setting up other kings. You give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars.
You reveal deep and mysterious things, and only You know what lies hidden in darkness, though You are
surrounded by light. Father, we thank You for our political leaders. Thank You for blessing all nations to be a
mighty government in the earth. Thank You for allowing us to call upon You in our times of need as a nation.
Thank You, Lord, for Your bountiful blessings. We are grateful, and we bless Your Name.

Righteous Father, in obedience to Your Word, we make intercession on behalf of those who are in positions of
authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. We pray for the
Presidents, Kings, Queens, Prime Ministers, Emirs, Emperors and all political heads of states and governments.
Lord, You aren’t slow about Your promise, as some people think. You are patient for our sake, not wanting any
of our leaders to be destroyed, but You want them to repent. By faith, we call our leaders saved, sanctified,
and filled with Your Holy Spirit. We declare that our political leaders will not follow the advice of the wicked or
stand around with sinners or join in with mockers. They will delight in Your law and will meditate on it day and
night. As they do this, Father, we confess that they will be like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit
each season. Their leaves will not wither, and whatever they do will prosper for the good of the world.

Holy Spirit, reveal how I can pray for political leaders.
_______________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, we ask You to fill our leaders with Your Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, and
knowledge. Grant them favor, increase their faith, and prepare them to pursue Your excellence. Draw our
leaders to You and cause them to know and fulfill Your purposes. Please place people in their paths who will
provide scriptural, sound and godly counsel to help them; for without Your counsel, their plans will go awry.
Impart Your revelation to them about leadership and help them to lead. Deal with our leaders about keeping
their hearts and motives pure. We ask You to make their hearts pliable, willing and obedient to Your will. Cause
each of their lives to glorify Your Name. Father, we ask You to raise up modern-day Davids, Solomons,
Josephs, Nehemiahs, Deborahs, Ruths and Esthers who will joyfully and purposefully work in the political sector
to help rebuild and restore all nations.

Forgiving Father, please forgive political leaders for all acts of sinfulness, including jealousy, contempt, pride,
bitterness, criticism, lying, gossiping, hatred, grudges, revenge and misappropriation of governmental funds.
Forgive them when they engage in deceitful acts and oppressive practices such as evading questions,
exaggerating the truth, and not striving to provide the basic needs, food, housing and employment to the people
they serve. Forgive those politicians for expecting to be forgiven by You when they choose not to forgive others
for past offenses. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind all political
leaders of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my
remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of
people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust
the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

36

Holy Spirit, help political leaders not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Holy, Holy, Holy, are You, the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is and is to come. You alone are God. You
are subject to none, yet all are subject to You. Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. In
Jesus’ Name, Amen.
