HOW TO USE YOUR KINGDOM BUILDERS’ POWER GUIDE Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. I John 5:14-15 The Power Guide is designed as a tool for study, reflection and prayer. Each prayer is written based on the model of the Lord’s Prayer (see Matthew 6:9-13). In order to maximize the use of your guide, please follow the listed instructions. 1. Set aside a few minutes each day to pray individually, with your family or prayerpartner(s). Gradually build your prayer time with the Lord to at least thirty (30) to sixty (60)minutes each day. You can split up your prayer time, if necessary, and pray a few minutes inthe morning and evening. You choose the time of day that is good for you. Find a comfortableplace to pray and turn off any distractions. If you have small children who need most of yourattention, pray the daily prayer with them. Let God’s Word saturate their hearing.2. Refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar on page 5 for the specific prayer for the day. Only pray forthe prayer topic that is assigned to that day so that we are unified in our daily praying. Pleasedo not get ahead of the prayer for the day. Before praying the “Scriptural Prayer,” first read thescriptures listed for “Scripture Reading.”3. Pray the assigned prayer out loud. There is power in your verbal expression. Parents, pleaseencourage your children to pray their prayer topics in the Children’s Power Guide outloud. Youth (ages 13-17) may use the Adult Power Guide.4. These prayers are intended to be a springboard to help you with your prayerfulconversations. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you to expand upon the prayer that you are prayingfor the day. If you speak in tongues, please pray in tongues over each prayer topic. Relax,listen and enjoy the Lord.5. Record any reflections, revelations, or inspiration given by the Holy Spirit in the PrayerExpectation section at the end of the Power Guide.6. Prayer Topic #1: A Prayer of Peace for Our Families Scripture Reading: Psalm 121, Psalm 91 Reflections of the Heart: There is no place like home! God desires for His children to dwell in peaceful and secure homes. So, let us continue to pray for the prosperity, protection and unity of the residents of our communities. Scriptural Prayer: Wonderful Father, we thank You for Your peace and protection for our families. Thank You for theprovision that enables our families to love one another, raise children with a Godly foundation and bean example of unity within our communities. We thank You, Lord, for having plans for good and notdisaster for us, to give us a future and a hope. Thank You for blessing us with Your perfect peace, aswe keep our thoughts fixed on You. We come before You clapping our hands and shouting with joyunto You. Lord Most High, You are awesome! You subdue nations before us and put our enemies under our feet! Father, we thank You for choosing this promised land as an inheritance for our families. We sing praises to You, Lord, and declare that You are the King over all of the earth! Almighty Father, You are the light and salvation of our families, so we are not afraid. You are ourfortress, protecting us from danger so we do not tremble. By faith, we declare that our families live peacefully and safely in our workplaces and homes and that our homes are places of rest. No evil willconquer our families and no harm will come near us because the Lord has ordered His angels to protect us wherever we go. Lord, we expect that You will always put a wall of protection around each of us, ourhomes and properties, and You will allow us to prosper in everything we do. In the authority given tous by Jesus Christ, we cancel the assignments of the spirits of fear, intimidation, theft, vandalism, death,destruction, discord and perversion from our families, our homes and workplaces. We plead the bloodof Jesus over our families and decree that we are vibrant, prosperous, and blessed! I confess the following promises of God upon (list the name(s) of a family member): Holy Spirit, help us to always remember that the greatest resource of peace and protection is the Lord God Almighty. Incline our hearts to seek Him first and search His Word for wisdom, comfort, refuge anddirection. Give our families the strength and courage to stand when social media, television, movies, peers and Internet influences, do not represent the Godly values set forth in our homes. Keep us from all temptations including the urge to love this world more than the Lord God or mistreat our parents, children, siblings, and extended family members. Holy Spirit, impress upon our families the importance of finding the right balance between our work and personal lives. Forgiving Father, forgive our families for all acts of sinfulness, including jealousy, rivalries, dishonesty, injustice, hatred, oppression, greed, idolatry, pride, slander, sexual immorality, selfish ambition, andabuse of any type. Thank You for the plans that You have for each of our lives; plans for good and not for disaster so that we may each have a future and a hope. Thank You that all of Your promises in Christ are Yes and in Him, amen, to Your glory through us. Lord, we are joyful because we trust in You. You have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If we tried to recite all Your wonderful deeds, we would never come to the end of them. Your throne, O God, lasts forever and ever. Glorious King, You send Your Word out and it always produces fruit. It will do just what You want it to and it prospers everywhere that You send it. So, Father, we declare that we will continue to circle the promises that You have made in Your Word and confess them daily, trusting that Your Word will produce fruit in our lives. Judge yourself by what God told you to do.” ~ Myles Munroe Scriptural Prayer: Glorious Father, thank You for claiming us as Your children. As ambassadors of Christ, we thank You for the tremendous privilege of representing You here on earth! Thank You for equipping us through the Word and the Holy Spirit to walk in authority, wisdom and power. Thank You for continuing to teach us who we are in and through You. Lord, as Believers, we come clapping our hands and shouting with joyful praise to You. Lord Most High, You are awesome. You are the great King of all the earth. Lord, You sit on Your holy throne, reigning above the nations. Lord, You are great and deserving of praise. O God, we will meditate on Your unfailing love as we worship in Your Temple. Merciful Father, forgive those who deny the existence or power of the Holy Spirit. Forgive us for not completely yielding control of our lives to the Holy Spirit. Father, please forgive me for the times I have overlooked the honor of being a child of God. I am sorry for the moments when I’ve been negative about myself, talked badly about myself, and did not acknowledge who You have made me to be in Jesus Christ. Forgive those of us for shrinking back from the mandate that has been given to us to rule and reign. Forgive us for trying to accomplish supernatural things while operating in our flesh. We give thanks because You are near. People everywhere tell of Your wonderful deeds. Lord, we thank You and praise Your glorious name! Everything we have has come from You, and we give You only what You first gave us! Thank You, Holy Spirit, for empowering us to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ and being God’s guarantee for the inheritance He promised. Because of You, this guarantee includes that we have been purchased to be His own people. Hallel YAH! Father God, we praise You, our Savior. Each day, You carry us in Your arms; You are the God who saves. Mighty God, Your Word says that we have not received a spirit that makes us fearful slaves; instead, we have received Your Spirit when You adopted us as Your children. We confess that the same Holy Spirit who resurrected Jesus from the dead now dwells within us. It is the Holy Spirit who gives life to our mortal bodies, just as He gave life to Christ and raised Him from the dead. Holy Spirit, we pray that the Body of Christ will rise up in leadership to demonstrate God’s love as our nation works to identify and replace racism and oppression of any kind with justice and righteousness. Forgive Christian leaders who fail to teach believers Your Word about how You look upon the hearts of all people and not upon their physical human characteristics. Prayer Topic #5: A Declaration of Holiness for Our Youth Scripture Reading:Psalm 25:8-10, Romans 1:18-32Reflections of the Heart:Adolescence is a difficult but critical time in a child’s life. During these years, young people begin to explore and experiment with different things and people as they try to learn who they are. Let’s pray that our youth will allow the Word of God to sculpt and mold them. Scriptural Prayer: Blessed Father, we thank You for our youth. Thank You for having a plan for their lives that is good and not evil, so that they will each have a future and a hope. Thank You for filling each of them with Your precious Holy Spirit to instruct, correct and teach them how to live uprightly before You. \\Lord, we promise to obey Your words! With all of our hearts, we want Your blessings. Be merciful as You promised. We will ponder the direction of our lives and turn to follow Your laws. We will hurry, without delay, to obey Your commands. Lord, we are friends with anyone who fears You, anyone who obeys Your commandments. Your unfailing love, O Lord, fills the earth; teach us Your decrees. Sovereign King, we confess that our youth will truly understand that their bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit. They will give their bodies to You and will be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind You will find acceptable, for this is truly the way to worship You. They will not copy the illicit behavior and customs of this world, but they will let You, Father, transform them into new people by changing the way they think. Our youth will learn and grow in Your Word. They will know Your will for them, which is good and pleasing and perfect. We decree that they will know You and all of Your fullness. They will worship You and be thankful. Our youth will not do vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They will not trade the truth about You for a lie. They will not worship the things You have created, instead of You, the Creator, and they will not be abandoned to shameful desires. In Jesus’ name, we declare that our daughters will not lust for other girls and our sons will not burn with lust for other boys. Matter of fact, our sons and daughters will not have sex until they marry. We cancel every generational curse of perversion. We decree that our youth will not partake in pornography, fornication, homosexuality, bestiality, or any other sexual perversion. We confess that they will unashamedly run from sexual sin. I commit to praying for the following youth this month: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, our Deliverer, some of our youth are ensnared by the sexual perversions of this world. Please remove the scales from their eyes and circumcise their hearts so that they can see themselves reflected in God’s Word. Remind them that they are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, Your very own possession. Deliver them from the shame and anger that perversion and sin create in their hearts and minds. Remind them that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus and that nothing can ever separate them from the Father’s love that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Help our youth to make Godly choices. Convict them when they watch, read, listen to and visit internet sites that are ungodly. Surround them with strong Christian friends who will support them and hold them accountable when they are wrong. Lead them to people who love Christ more than culture. Empower 15

our youth to resist peer pressure. Holy Spirit, help our parents to be actively involved in their children’s lives. Help them to create holy, positive home environments for their children and youth. Merciful Father, forgive our youth for any sexual sin they have participated in including pornography, fornication, oral sex, homosexuality, and taking inappropriate pictures of themselves. Forgive those who do not value their bodies. Forgive those parents and guardians who have not created holy environments in their homes and lived as models of righteousness and integrity. Forgive those single parents who are not living celibate lives. Forgive those parents who allow their boyfriends and girlfriends to spend the night in the home where their children live. Forgive those married parents who are engaged in extra-marital affairs. Forgive those parents who are involved with pornography and have made pornographic material accessible to their children and youth. Forgive us, as the Body of Christ, for turning a blind eye to what our children and youth are doing. Forgive us for not openly discussing sexual purity with our youth. Lord, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind our youth of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. They are successful in their communities, professional lives and in the Body of Christ. We praise and thank God for them, daily! Scriptural Prayer: Triumphant Father, we thank You for the fathers in the Body of Christ. Thank You for reminding them daily that they are created in Your image. You cannot serve both God and money.” ~ Luke 16:13 Scriptural Prayer: Beloved Father, thank You for being our Great Provider. Thank you for jobs, businesses, and income. Thank You for all of the blessings that Your favor has afforded us. Let us live forever in Your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of Your wings! For You have heard our vows, O God. You have given us an inheritance reserved for those who fear Your name. May we remain under Your protection forever. May Your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over us. Then we will sing praises to Your name forever as we fulfill our vows each day. Lord, we, the Body of Christ, declare that the earth is Yours, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to You. Considering this truth, we declare that we will not rely on the government or anyone else to help us to become financially stable. We will trust in You with all our hearts and we will not depend on our own understanding. We will seek Your will in all we do, and we know that You will show us which path to take. We will not place the welfare of our families at risk by making hasty or unwise financial decisions. As ambassadors of Your Kingdom, we take authority over debt, greed, and reckless spending in all forms. The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to Him and are safe. The Lord our God will cover us with His feathers, and under His wings we will find refuge; His faithfulness will be our shield and rampart. Hallelujah!Righteous Father, Your Word says, we will hear wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that we are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. We speak peace over confrontations in Taiwan, the Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan, and tensions in Pakistan. We place all world conflicts in the hands of the Prince of Peace.Merciful Father, forgive those engaged in warfare for all acts of violence, injustice, murder, and sin. Romans 12:19 Scriptural Prayer: Eternal Father, we thank You for being the just Judge. Thank You for hearing us when we call to You for help for our nation. Thank You for moving on the hearts of Your people to establish peace, justice and righteousness in the earth. Lord, we will praise You with all of our hearts. Your love for us is so very great, we will give glory to Your name forever! Lord, You have rescued us from the depths of death. We will sing of Your unfailing love forever. Young and old will hear of Your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. Immortal Father, we command justice to run down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream within our judicial system in America. Your Word says that justice and righteousness are more acceptable to You than sacrifice. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. We confess that justice and righteousness will prevail in our nation, homes, workplaces, churches, schools and communities.
