HOW TO USE YOUR KINGDOM BUILDERS’ POWER GUIDE Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. I John 5:14-15 The Power Guide is designed as a tool for study, reflection and prayer. Each prayer is written based on the model of the Lord’s Prayer (see Matthew 6:9-13). In order to maximize the use of your guide, please follow the listed instructions. 1. Set aside a few minutes each day to pray individually, with your family or prayerpartner(s). Gradually build your prayer time with the Lord to at least thirty (30) to sixty (60)minutes each day. You can split up your prayer time, if necessary, and pray a few minutes inthe morning and evening. You choose the time of day that is good for you. Find a comfortableplace to pray and turn off any distractions. If you have small children who need most of yourattention, pray the daily prayer with them. Let God’s Word saturate their hearing.2. Refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar on page 5 for the specific prayer for the day. Only pray forthe prayer topic that is assigned to that day so that we are unified in our daily praying. Pleasedo not get ahead of the prayer for the day. Before praying the “Scriptural Prayer,” first read thescriptures listed for “Scripture Reading.”3. Pray the assigned prayer out loud. There is power in your verbal expression. Parents, pleaseencourage your children to pray their prayer topics in the Children’s Power Guide outloud. Youth (ages 13-17) may use the Adult Power Guide.4. These prayers are intended to be a springboard to help you with your prayerfulconversations. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you to expand upon the prayer that you are prayingfor the day. If you speak in tongues, please pray in tongues over each prayer topic. Relax, listen and enjoy the Lord.5. Record any reflections, revelations, or inspiration given by the Holy Spirit in the PrayerExpectation section at the end of the Power Guide.6. Believe that the Lord is hearing your prayer and know in your heart that your praying will produceGod’s results for the prayer topic for which you are praying.7. After praying, make your daily power confession by using the Daily Power Confessions locatedon page 37. When you speak God’s Word over your life, you activate the power of His Word towork in your life and produce God’s results for your life. Expect God’s Word to transform yourlife. I also recommend that you speak the Power Confessions over your family.8. Enjoy your time spent with the Lord and thank you for helping to “take the world by prayer.”God Bless You! Prayer Topic #1: A Prayer of Peace for Our Families Scripture Reading: Psalm 121, Psalm 91 Reflections of the Heart: There is no place like home! God desires for His children to dwell in peaceful and secure homes. So, let us continue to pray for the prosperity, protection and unity of the residents of our communities. Scriptural Prayer: Wonderful Father, we thank You for Your peace and protection for our families. Thank You for theprovision that enables our families to love one another, raise children with a Godly foundation and bean example of unity within our communities. We thank You, Lord, for having plans for good and notdisaster for us, to give us a future and a hope. Thank You for blessing us with Your perfect peace, aswe keep our thoughts fixed on You. We come before You clapping our hands and shouting with joyunto You. Lord Most High, You are awesome! You subdue nations before us and put our enemies under our feet! Father, we thank You for choosing this promised land as an inheritance for our families. We sing praises to You, Lord, and declare that You are the King over all of the earth! Almighty Father, You are the light and salvation of our families, so we are not afraid. You are ourfortress, protecting us from danger so we do not tremble. By faith, we declare that our families live peacefully and safely in our workplaces and homes and that our homes are places of rest. No evil willconquer our families and no harm will come near us because the Lord has ordered His angels to protect us wherever we go. Lord, we expect that You will always put a wall of protection around each of us, ourhomes and properties, and You will allow us to prosper in everything we do. In the authority given tous by Jesus Christ, we cancel the assignments of the spirits of fear, intimidation, theft, vandalism, death, destruction, discord and perversion from our families, our homes and workplaces. We plead the bloodof Jesus over our families and decree that we are vibrant, prosperous, and blessed! I confess the following promises of God upon (list the name(s) of a family member): Holy Spirit, help us to always remember that the greatest resource of peace and protection is the Lord God Almighty. Incline our hearts to seek Him first and search His Word for wisdom, comfort, refuge anddirection. Give our families the strength and courage to stand when social media, television, movies, peers and Internet influences, do not represent the Godly values set forth in our homes. Keep us from all temptations including the urge to love this world more than the Lord God or mistreat our parents, children, siblings, and extended family members. Holy Spirit, impress upon our families the importance of finding the right balance between our work and personal lives. Forgiving Father, forgive our families for all acts of sinfulness, including jealousy, rivalries, dishonesty, injustice, hatred, oppression, greed, idolatry, pride, slander, sexual immorality, selfish ambition, andabuse of any type. Forgive those who choose not to trust in You for all things in all ways. Father, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind our families of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may 7
need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.) Holy Spirit, help our families not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one. Eternal Lord, You are the blessed and Sovereign One; the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, whoalone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man can see. Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. In Jesus’ name, amen. Prayer Topic #2: A Prayer of Hope Scripture Reading: Psalm 97:1-6, Romans 15:4 Reflections of the Heart: “The Lord heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.” ~Psalm 147:3 Scriptural Prayer: Loving Father, we thank You for Your love. Thank You for the plans that You have for each of our lives; plans for good and not for disaster so that we may each have a future and a hope. Thank You that all of Your promises in Christ are Yes and in Him, amen, to Your glory through us. Lord, we are joyful because we trust in You. You have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If we tried to recite all Your wonderful deeds, we would never come to the end of them. Your throne, O God, lasts forever and ever. Glorious King, You send Your Word out and it always produces fruit. It will do just what You want it to and it prospers everywhere that You send it. So, Father, we declare that we will continue to circle the promises that You have made in Your Word and confess them daily, trusting that Your Word will produce fruit in our lives. We will not grow weary while we wait for Your promises. We confess that we walk by faith and not by sight. We refuse to give up on You. We refuse to give in to small goals and we refuse to give out to fatigue or despair. Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ Jesus who loved us. What do you need God to bless you and your family with? Find promises in His Word, and confess them over your life daily: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, help us to always pray God’s Word in faith. Remind us that God’s timing is always perfect and He knows exactly when to send His promises. Help us to take care of the blessings that God has already brought into our lives. Remind us to always be grateful for all that God does for us each and every moment daily. Open opportunities for us to share our testimony with others, to encourage their relationship with God. Gracious Father, forgive us for trusting people and things instead of You. Forgive us for growing weary while waiting for Your promises. Forgive us for not praying daily. Forgive us for doubting You and the promises You have given us. Father, please forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Lord, remind all of us of those we need to forgive; and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, please bring to my remembrance those that I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.) Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one. All glory, majesty, power and authority are Yours, King Most High, before all time, in the present and beyond all time. You are the One who is and always was. In Jesus’ name, amen. 9

Prayer Topic #3: A Declaration of Spiritual Authority and Power Scripture Reading:Psalm 106, Luke 10:19, Romans 13:1 Reflections of the Heart: “Don’t judge your success by the masses, and what they think of you. Judge yourself by what God told you to do.” ~ Myles Munroe Scriptural Prayer: Glorious Father, thank You for claiming us as Your children. As ambassadors of Christ, we thank You for the tremendous privilege of representing You here on earth! Thank You for equipping us through the Word and the Holy Spirit to walk in authority, wisdom and power. Thank You for continuing to teach us who we are in and through You. Lord, as Believers, we come clapping our hands and shouting with joyful praise to You. Lord Most High, You are awesome. You are the great King of all the earth. Lord, You sit on Your holy throne, reigning above the nations. Lord, You are great and deserving of praise. O God, we will meditate on Your unfailing love as we worship in Your Temple. As Your name deserves, You will be praised to the ends of the earth. Your strong right hand is filled with victory. Triumphant God, You gave the commandment that we are to be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and govern it and reign over it. As Believers, we declare that we will exercise the power and authority that Christ Jesus has given unto us. We will cast out demons in Your name, lay hands on the sick and they will recover, and declare the Good News to everyone. As the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus, we are bold as lions. We will walk in Your authority and manifest the Kingdom of God at work, at home and everywhere we go. We will study Your Word continually and meditate on it day and night so that we will be careful to follow Your instructions. As we do this, we will prosper and succeed in all that we do. We confess that we will not be afraid or discouraged, but in all things and at all times, we will be strong and full of courage because we know that You, the Lord, our God will be with us wherever we go. Today, we confess that we are important to the plan of God! We are His ambassadors! We represent Jesus Christ to our families, our workplaces, and to our communities. We have been invested with royal powers through the Holy Spirit, including the name of Jesus and the authority of His blood, so that we can call upon Heaven to assist us at any given moment! All angelic powers and all the vast resources stored in the treasury of Heaven are available for our use when we are representing Jesus to this world! We declare this by faith, in Jesus’ name! Holy Spirit, show me how to hear You more clearly to fulfill Your purposes: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, we ask You to help each of us to see and truly perceive all that You have made us to be as ambassadors of Christ in this world! Help each of us to understand our position in The Kingdom. Remind us when we feel inferior, that we are joint heirs with Christ Jesus. Heal the self-esteem of those who can’t picture themselves as victorious and remind them that You, Holy Spirit, are within them, and You are greater than any spirit in this world. Lord, help us all to increase in our God confidence. Reveal to each of us those mindsets, habits and behaviors that contradict who we are in You and in Your Kingdom. Show each of us how to exercise Kingdom authority in our individual work assignments within our sphere of influence. 11
Merciful Father, forgive those who deny the existence or power of the Holy Spirit. Forgive us for not completely yielding control of our lives to the Holy Spirit. Father, please forgive me for the times I have overlooked the honor of being a child of God. I am sorry for the moments when I’ve been negative about myself, talked badly about myself, and did not acknowledge who You have made me to be in Jesus Christ. Forgive those of us for shrinking back from the mandate that has been given to us to rule and reign. Forgive us for trying to accomplish supernatural things while operating in our flesh. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.) Holy Spirit, help us as Believers not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one. Almighty God, the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it all belong to You. You are the God of gods and Lord of lords. You are the great God, the mighty and awesome God who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed. You alone are worthy of praise because You alone perform such great miracles. In the majestic name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, amen! Prayer Topic #4: A Declaration of Freedom Scripture Reading: Psalm 113:2-6, 2 Corinthians 3:17 Reflections of the Heart “Freedom and justice cannot be parceled out in pieces to suit political convenience. I don’t believe you can stand for freedom for one group of people and deny it to others.” ~ Coretta Scott King Spiritual Prayer Heavenly Father, we thank You, O God! We give thanks because You are near. People everywhere tell of Your wonderful deeds. Lord, we thank You and praise Your glorious name! Everything we have has come from You, and we give You only what You first gave us! Thank You, Holy Spirit, for empowering us to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ and being God’s guarantee for the inheritance He promised. Because of You, this guarantee includes that we have been purchased to be His own people. Hallel YAH! Father God, we praise You, our Savior. Each day, You carry us in Your arms; You are the God who saves. Mighty God, Your Word says that we have not received a spirit that makes us fearful slaves; instead, we have received Your Spirit when You adopted us as Your children. We confess that the same Holy Spirit who resurrected Jesus from the dead now dwells within us. It is the Holy Spirit who gives life to our mortal bodies, just as He gave life to Christ and raised Him from the dead. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory You will reveal to us later. For we wait eagerly for that future day when You will reveal who Your children really are. You freed the Israelites from Egypt, the Jews from the Holocaust and the American Negro from slavery, for which many states now celebrate on June 19th. We declare that these are forerunners to a future that will guide us toward justice and freedom for all regardless of race, creed, gender or ethnicity. List how you will commit to praying for justice in our nation: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, as we celebrate our liberty at special times throughout the United States, remind us of those who struggled before us to ensure these freedoms. Even as we honor days like June 19th and what it stands for, give us the courage to acknowledge and destroy racism, so that we are able to obey the commandment to love one another. Prevent any works of evil that would hinder us from being just and fair, doing what is right and good and carrying out the Lord’s original plans and purposes for our lives. Help all people to seek Your wisdom and allow You to direct their paths as they do their part in reforming our nation. Holy Spirit, we pray that the Body of Christ will rise up in leadership to demonstrate God’s love as our nation works to identify and replace racism and oppression of any kind with justice and righteousness. Merciful Father, forgive us for not completely yielding control of our lives to You. Forgive those who do not stand for justice and righteousness for all people. Forgive Christian leaders who fail to teach believers Your Word about how You look upon the hearts of all people and not upon their physical human characteristics. Forgive our nation for all acts of sinfulness. Lord, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the 13
Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He shows you, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one. How great are You, O Lord! Your power is absolute! Your understanding is beyond comprehension! You are mighty, but You do not despise anyone! You are mighty in both power and understanding. Wealth and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything. Power and might are in Your hand, and at Your discretion people are made great and given strength. In the mighty and wonderful name of Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, we pray, amen. Prayer Topic #5: A Declaration of Holiness for Our Youth Scripture Reading:Psalm 25:8-10, Romans 1:18-32Reflections of the Heart:Adolescence is a difficult but critical time in a child’s life. During these years, young people begin to explore and experiment with different things and people as they try to learn who they are. Let’s pray that our youth will allow the Word of God to sculpt and mold them. Scriptural Prayer: Blessed Father, we thank You for our youth. Thank You for having a plan for their lives that is good and not evil, so that they will each have a future and a hope. Thank You for filling each of them with Your precious Holy Spirit to instruct, correct and teach them how to live uprightly before You. \\Lord, we promise to obey Your words! With all of our hearts, we want Your blessings. Be merciful as You promised. We will ponder the direction of our lives and turn to follow Your laws. We will hurry, without delay, to obey Your commands. Lord, we are friends with anyone who fears You, anyone who obeys Your commandments. Your unfailing love, O Lord, fills the earth; teach us Your decrees. Sovereign King, we confess that our youth will truly understand that their bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit. They will give their bodies to You and will be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind You will find acceptable, for this is truly the way to worship You. They will not copy the illicit behavior and customs of this world, but they will let You, Father, transform them into new people by changing the way they think. Our youth will learn and grow in Your Word. They will know Your will for them, which is good and pleasing and perfect. We decree that they will know You and all of Your fullness. They will worship You and be thankful. Our youth will not do vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They will not trade the truth about You for a lie. They will not worship the things You have created, instead of You, the Creator, and they will not be abandoned to shameful desires. In Jesus’ name, we declare that our daughters will not lust for other girls and our sons will not burn with lust for other boys. Matter of fact, our sons and daughters will not have sex until they marry. We cancel every generational curse of perversion. We decree that our youth will not partake in pornography, fornication, homosexuality, bestiality, or any other sexual perversion. We confess that they will unashamedly run from sexual sin. I commit to praying for the following youth this month: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, our Deliverer, some of our youth are ensnared by the sexual perversions of this world. Please remove the scales from their eyes and circumcise their hearts so that they can see themselves reflected in God’s Word. Remind them that they are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, Your very own possession. Deliver them from the shame and anger that perversion and sin create in their hearts and minds. Remind them that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus and that nothing can ever separate them from the Father’s love that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Help our youth to make Godly choices. Convict them when they watch, read, listen to and visit internet sites that are ungodly. Surround them with strong Christian friends who will support them and hold them accountable when they are wrong. Lead them to people who love Christ more than culture. Empower 15
our youth to resist peer pressure. Holy Spirit, help our parents to be actively involved in their children’s lives. Help them to create holy, positive home environments for their children and youth. Merciful Father, forgive our youth for any sexual sin they have participated in including pornography, fornication, oral sex, homosexuality, and taking inappropriate pictures of themselves. Forgive those who do not value their bodies. Forgive those parents and guardians who have not created holy environments in their homes and lived as models of righteousness and integrity. Forgive those single parents who are not living celibate lives. Forgive those parents who allow their boyfriends and girlfriends to spend the night in the home where their children live. Forgive those married parents who are engaged in extra-marital affairs. Forgive those parents who are involved with pornography and have made pornographic material accessible to their children and youth. Forgive us, as the Body of Christ, for turning a blind eye to what our children and youth are doing. Forgive us for not openly discussing sexual purity with our youth. Lord, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind our youth of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.) Holy Spirit, help our youth not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one. Almighty God, You are the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to You who sits on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever. In Jesus’ name, amen. Prayer Topic #6: A Prayer for Our Fathers Scripture Reading: Psalm 134, Psalm 128 Reflections of the Heart: As the Body of Christ, we declare that our fathers are loving and compassionate leaders in their homes. They are successful in their communities, professional lives and in the Body of Christ. We praise and thank God for them, daily! Scriptural Prayer: Triumphant Father, we thank You for the fathers in the Body of Christ. Thank You for reminding them daily that they are created in Your image. Thank You for crowning each of them with glory and honor. Thank You for helping them to take their rightful place as the head of their homes. We, Your servants, give praise to You, Lord. Your name will be blessed now and forever! Everywhere from east to west, Your name shall be praised. Lord, You are high above the nations; Your glory is higher than the heavens. No one can be compared with You! Not to us, O Lord, but all glory will go to Your name for Your unfailing love and Your faithfulness. Majestic Father, by faith, we declare that the fathers in the Body of Christ are saved, sanctified, and filled with Your Holy Spirit. They are priestly providers and protectors of their families. We confess that our fathers will not copy the behavior and customs of this world; but they will allow You, Lord, to transform them into new men by changing the way they think. We decree that our fathers are the head and not the tail; they are always on top and never at the bottom. They are not victims of society, but they are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. Their children will honor them; for this is right in Your sight. We confess that our fathers will not provoke their children to anger by the way they treat them; but they will raise them with the discipline and instruction that comes from You, our Heavenly Father. Above all, we confess that our fathers have victorious futures because Your plans for them are of hope, filled with good and not evil. We decree that the fruit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are evident in their lives. The light of Jesus is reflected in their actions. We confess that our fathers are mighty men of valor. I will pray for the following fathers in the Body of Christ this month: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, we ask You to fill our fathers with the knowledge of Your Word in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Please order their days so that their daily activities are balanced and fruitful. Make the crooked places in their lives straight and perfect those things that concern them. Help each father to not grieve Your Spirit. Teach them how to develop the individual spiritual gifts and talents of their children. Restore the broken or struggling relationships between fathers and children. Increase Your love in those father/child(ren) relationships that are doing well. Holy Spirit, comfort those who have experienced the death of their father and equip us as the Body of Christ to provide the support that they may need. Faithful Father, forgive our fathers for sins of disobedience, selfishness, and lying. Forgive our wives and mothers for taking on the roles You have ordained for husbands and fathers. Forgive us as a society for focusing on the fathers who are not living up to their responsibilities while ignoring those 17
who are taking care of their families. Father, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind our fathers of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.) Holy Spirit, help our fathers not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one. Exalted Lord, we praise Your name. Your name is great; Your glory towers over the earth and heaven. You are worthy, Lord, to receive glory, honor and power. You created all things; by your will they exist and were created. You are Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. In Jesus’ name, amen. Prayer Topic #7: A Prayer for Mental Healing Scripture Reading: Psalm 8, Psalm 40:1-8 Reflections of the Heart: We receive comfort in these words, “Those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)Scriptural Prayer: Glorious Father, we thank You for giving us Your peace and joy. Thank You for providing a life of hope, abundance, and destiny. Thank You for being our strength in times of weakness. You are great and most worthy of praise. You are to be feared above all gods. The earth is Yours and everything in it; the world and all its people belong to You. You laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean’s depths. You are the King of glory; the Lord strong and mighty. You are the Lord, invincible in battle. O Lord, You have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. We are grateful that when we, Your people, call to You for help, You hear and rescue us out of our troubles. Omniscient Father, You said that You would give rest to all who are weary and heavy burdened. Your yoke is easy and Your burdens are light. We are supposed to trust in You with all of our hearts and not depend on our own understanding. We are to seek Your will in all that we do and You will show us which path to take. You are the God who will bring rest to our souls. We trust in Your Word and believe that Your Word will be operative in the hearts and souls of those with mental illnesses. We confess that when they walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive them and stretch forth Your hand and save them. Lord, You have left Your gift of peace of mind with them so their hearts will not be afraid. Although they may be pressed on every side by troubles, they will not be crushed and broken. They may feel perplexed, but they will not give up and quit. They may be hunted down, but You will never abandon them. They may be knocked down, but they will get up and keep going. Father, we confess that they will lie down without fear and enjoy pleasant dreams. They will not be afraid of the threat of disaster or destruction; for You are their security. Loving Father, we ask You to replace their sadness with joy, defeat with victory, and fatigue with praise. Help those who feel depressed or sad to not focus on their circumstances but rather focus on Your blessings in their lives. Remind them to praise You at all times. Holy Spirit, bring all things to their remembrance that concern the Father’s plans for their lives. Give them power as they meditate on the Word. Help them to keep God’s commandments and embrace them in their hearts. Father, help them to not be conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word. Holy Spirit, we ask that You strengthen and renew their innermost being. Prevent the fiery darts of the enemy from consuming them. Help them to hear Your voice and obey Your will. Help them to find and surround themselves with Believers who are strong in the Word and in faith who will keep them accountable as they walk through this season. 19

Prayer Topic #8: A Prayer for People Looking for Employment Scripture Reading: Psalm 47, Psalm 1 Reflections of the Heart: God knows exactly what His children stand in need of. His Word is full of promises concerning His provision, protection and care for us. Stand on His promises as you, or those you know, look for employment and expect to receive the manifestation of those promises. Scriptural Prayer: Most Excellent Father, thank You for allowing Your children to dwell in the secret place under Your shadow. Thank You for being our refuge and fortress. You are a Mighty God! Thank You for meeting the needs of those who are currently unemployed. Thank You, Lord, for assuring us as Your children that our promotion does not come from any earthly source, but it is You alone who judges who will rise and who will fall. We rest and trust in You because this whole earth and those who dwell in it belong to You. With all that we are, we will praise You. We will never forget the good things that You do for us. Glory To Your Holy name! Glorious Father, in Jesus’ name, we command the doors of favor and opportunity for employment to open for our unemployed brothers and sisters! As the Body of Christ, we confess that as they seek Your Kingdom above all else and live righteously, You will give them everything they need. We decree that they will not be idle or lazy, wanting much, but doing little. No! They will be diligent and work hard and will prosper. We declare that our unemployed will not be worried about anything. Instead, they will pray about everything and trust You to meet their needs. They will remain thankful for all You have done in their lives. Even when they are confronted with rejection or negative reports, they will remain confident that You are for them and they will not be fearful of what people will do to them. We confess that they will continually study Your Word and meditate on it day and night. As they do this, they will prosper and succeed in all that they do. We decree that Your favor will surround them with a shield when they go for interviews. We confess that they will not lean to their own understanding, but as they acknowledge You in all of their ways, we trust that You will show them which path to take as they continue to seek employment. If you know someone who is unemployed or who wants new employment, write down their names and insert their names into this prayer: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, help our unemployed friends and family members (speak the names) to prepare themselves and enhance their skills so that they will be ready when opportunities present themselves. Help them to wait patiently on the Lord and trust Him to guide them to the job He has for them. Enlighten the eyes of their understanding to know their strengths and to find creative ways to highlight their resumes and job applications. Touch the hearts of those who are resistant to change and encourage them to look for new career opportunities. Remove fear and anxiety from their lives. Help (speak the names) to resist pride and to be humble and honest with those who will interview them. Show them how to use sound judgment as they weigh their job offers. Continue to supernaturally meet their dayto-day needs as they continue to pursue employment opportunities. When (speak the names) receive 21
their new jobs, remind them to tithe and to honor You with their wealth and with the best part of everything they produce to show their gratitude to God, our Father. Merciful Father, please forgive those who have failed to honor You in the workplace during their past employment. Forgive those who believe the world’s report more than Your report about their future. Forgive those who have not honored You with tithes and offerings consistently. Father God, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind those who are seeking employment to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.) Holy Spirit, help those who are seeking employment not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one. Omnipotent Lord, salvation and glory and power belong to You! You are the Lord Almighty who reigns. Summon Your might, O God and display Your power as You have in the past. As Your name deserves, O God, You will be praised to the ends of the earth. Prayer Topic #9: A Prayer of Salvation for Families Scripture Reading: Psalm 105:1-8, Romans 10:1-13Reflections of the Heart: Through salvation, our past has been forgiven, our present is given meaning and our future is secured. ~Rick Warren Scriptural Prayer: Glorious Father, thank You for Your unconditional love. Thank You for showing families just how great Your love is by sending Christ to die for them while they were still sinners. Thank You for adopting them as Your children. Lord God, thank You for the precious gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Your majestic name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens! Families will praise Your name forever and ever, for You have all wisdom and power. They will put their hope in You, Lord; You are their help and shield. Father, You have performed many wonders for them. Your plans for families are too numerous to list. You have no equal! If they tried to recite all Your wonderful deeds, they would never come to the end of them. Triumphant Father, we know according to Your Word that You want everyone to be saved and understand the truth. We confess that if families openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, they will be saved. When they do, as Your Word promises, they will not perish but have everlasting life. They will have the right to become Your children. They will see themselves as Your masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus so that they can do the good things You predestined for them. Our families will proclaim the good news that You save, publish Your glorious deeds among the nations and tell everyone about the amazing things You do. We declare that they will worship Christ as Lord of their lives. And if someone asks about their hope as believers, they will always be ready to explain in a gentle and respectful way. We confess that families will never stop praying and being thankful in all circumstances, for this is Your will for those who belong to Christ Jesus. Holy Spirit, reveal how I can pray for families who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Ask and trust the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom when witnessing to others today. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, send disciples families throughout the world who need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Help those who have been saved to embrace fully the gift of salvation from the Father. Provide family members with continued opportunities to grow into the knowledge of God through spiritual wisdom and guidance, whether they are new or seasoned believers. Stir up their gifts and give them the desire, courage and discernment to proclaim Christ, follow His teachings and do good works. And when they sin, as humans sometimes do, such as being judgmental and envious of one another, help them to repent. Give each individual in the family the endurance to continue on the path You have established just for them. Precious Father, forgive families for all acts of sinfulness, including disobedience, rebellion, pride, arrogance, selfishness, hatred, lying, perversion and gossiping. Forgive those who have heard the Gospel but refuse to accept it and those who have accepted the Gospel and refuse to share it. Forgive family members who devalue their unsaved relatives. Lord, forgive me for any sins that I have 23
committed. Holy Spirit, remind families of those they need to forgive and help them to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. Prayer Topic #10: A Prayer for Incarcerated Youth and Adults Scripture Reading: Job 36:22-33, Luke 23:32-43Reflections of the Heart: “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1 Scriptural Prayer: Our Father, we thank You for being a God of grace and mercy. Thank You for protecting our friends, family members and loved ones who are incarcerated. Thank You for Your faithful love which endures forever. Lord of Heaven’s Armies, You are our strength and our song; You have given us victory! You are our God and we will praise You. Lord, You are a warrior; Yahweh is Your name. Your right hand is glorious in power and smashes the enemy. O Lord, who is like You among the gods? You are glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor and You perform great wonders. Forgiving Father, we commit our incarcerated loved ones to You. We confess that as they trust in You and give You their lives that You will be with them and not allow them to be disgraced nor will You let their enemies rejoice in their defeat. We declare that You will show our incarcerated youth and adults the right path and point out the road for them to follow. We decree that they will be obedient and allow Your truth to lead and teach them. We confess that it is in You and You alone that they will put their hope. We declare a hedge of protection around our loved ones and that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We confess that they will not follow the advice of the wicked, nor stand around with sinners, neither will they join in with mockers. But they will delight in Your Word, Father, and meditate on it day and night. They will make You, Lord, their refuge and their place of safety. They will be rescued from every trap that is laid before them and protected from deadly disease. They will not fear the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. They will lie down and sleep at night and wake up in safety because You are watching over them. List the youth or adults that you know who are incarcerated and commit to praying for them this month: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, please encourage those who have become discouraged. Remind them that the Father is forever with them, He will never leave nor abandon them. For those youth and adults who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, please send laborers to speak the Good News of the Gospel to them so that they will receive and confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Christ from the dead, so that they will be saved. For those who have been wrongfully imprisoned, we ask that You would bring truth and revelation to their cases and open doors for them to be released. Please strengthen their faith in the Father and draw them closer to Him. Please comfort, strengthen and encourage the family members, especially the child whose parent is incarcerated. Heal their hearts and mend any wound that the absence of this parent has created in their life. Please protect them from the evil words and comments that society may attempt to put upon them. Please destroy every generational cycle of incarceration within our families and community. Faithful Father, we ask You to forgive the sins of those who are incarcerated. Forgive them for making wrong choices and bad decisions. Forgive them for trusting in their ways instead of Yours. Forgive 25
those who hold anger, bitterness, and resentment. Forgive our judicial system for wrongfully imprisoning the innocent. Forgive those of us who have judged them wrongfully. Forgive those of us who have helped them make poor choices by not teaching them Your ways. Lord, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind our incarcerated youth and adults of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.) Holy Spirit, help our incarcerated youth and adults not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one. Almighty Lord, You alone are God. You are the First and the Last. It was Your hand that laid the foundations of the earth; Your right hand spread out the heavens above. When You call the stars, they all appear in order. Prayer Topic #11: A Prayer for Healing and Deliverance from Cancer Scripture Reading:Luke 1:47-55, Isaiah 53:4-5 Reflections of the Heart: Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever! In Mark 16:17-18 (NLT), Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.” Therefore, as believers, let us do what Jesus did! Scriptural Prayer: Faithful Father, we are thankful for Jesus, the Living Word, who is seated at Your right hand. We give thanks to You, Lord, for You are good. Your faithful love endures forever. Who can list Your glorious miracles, Lord? We give thanks to You, Jesus, for You took our sicknesses and removed our diseases. We give thanks to You for You personally carried our sins in Your body on the cross and freed us from the bondage of death. By Your wounds, we were healed. Holy Spirit, we thank You for Your power that brings healing to our bodies and souls. Father, we will exalt You, our God and King, and praise Your name forever and ever. Daily, we will praise You, for You are great and most worthy of praise! No one can measure Your greatness. We will meditate on Your majestic, glorious splendor and Your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; we will proclaim Your greatness. Glorious Father, You clothed us with skin and flesh, and You knit our bones and sinews together. You gave us life and showed us Your unfailing love. You are our Healer, and Your Word declares everyone who calls on Your name will be saved. By the authority in Your name, we decree that all forms and types of cancer within the bodies of Your people will no longer have dominion. We decree that no weapon formed against the spiritual and physical bodies of Your people will prosper. We cancel the devil’s assignments to destroy their bodies with carcinoma, sarcoma, leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and all forms of cancer, including the central nervous system. We declare that all malignant and abnormal cells are dying; they are no longer dividing and spreading through the blood or lymph systems. We trust in You, our God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing; therefore, we declare life and restoration into their bodies. By faith, we boldly command complete healing of the immune system in the bodies of Your children. Lord, we decree that You are their light and salvation, so they will not be afraid. You are their fortress, their protection from danger, so they will not tremble. We command peace to be still in their lives as they are being made whole by the miraculous power of God. Holy Spirit, please help those who are overcoming cancer to set their hope on You so that they will continue to obey God’s commands and not forget His glorious miracles. Continue to use all health professionals as instruments of healing; through the practice of medicine, prayer offered in faith, the laying on of hands and other means of healing that You have ordained. Give researchers divine insight into the causes, diagnoses, and treatment of cancers. Strengthen those persons who are suffering with these conditions in their bodies, and help them to live out their faith in You. Increase their endurance and patience as they walk through the healing process. Fill them with Your presence and remind them that You will never fail or abandon them. Daily remind them that there is nothing too hard for God and with Him, everything is possible. Surround them with Your peace as they undergo chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery or other cancer treatment methods. Touch the hearts of family members to provide an atmosphere of faith, hope and love. Please help to provide adequate finances, 27
transportation, food, clothing and shelter. Holy Spirit, teach us all how to live in Your Kingdom and to treat our bodies as Your temple; remind us to eat healthy, exercise and sleep enough hours so that our bodies fully recover from the day’s activities. Today, I will cry out to the Lord as I pray in faith for: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Gracious God, forgive us for doubting Your love and power to heal our bodies. Forgive us for being irresponsible with our health. Forgive us for not acknowledging the abundance of Your healing virtue, grace and mercy which we have received through our Lord and Savior. Forgive us for ungodly behavior including: unforgiveness, bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Forgive our nation for creating unhealthy conditions in our food supply and environment. We confess our sinfulness for we have not always obeyed Your commandments and lived faithfully in Your Word. Have mercy upon us according to Your Word. Lord, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. Prayer Topic #12: A Prayer for Financial Stability Scripture Reading: Psalm 84:1-5, Genesis 41:28-37Reflections of the Heart: “No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” ~ Luke 16:13 Scriptural Prayer: Beloved Father, thank You for being our Great Provider. Thank you for jobs, businesses, and income. Thank You for all of the blessings that Your favor has afforded us. Let us live forever in Your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of Your wings! For You have heard our vows, O God. You have given us an inheritance reserved for those who fear Your name. May we remain under Your protection forever. May Your unfailing love and faithfulness watch over us. Then we will sing praises to Your name forever as we fulfill our vows each day. Lord, we, the Body of Christ, declare that the earth is Yours, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to You. Considering this truth, we declare that we will not rely on the government or anyone else to help us to become financially stable. We will trust in You with all our hearts and we will not depend on our own understanding. We will seek Your will in all we do, and we know that You will show us which path to take. We will not place the welfare of our families at risk by making hasty or unwise financial decisions. As ambassadors of Your Kingdom, we take authority over debt, greed, and reckless spending in all forms. In Jesus’ name, we rebuke the spirit of poverty, and we command that all that God has entitled us to have is released back into our possession right now! We decree that we will not love money, but we will be satisfied with what we have, for Father, You promised that You will never fail us and You will never abandon us. We will no longer be in fear about our financial future, but we will submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit who understands all things pertaining to life. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what areas of financial stewardship you and your family need to improve so that you can become more financially stable: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, help us to act responsibly in the way we handle our money. Remind us to put God first in everything we do. Give us a strong conviction to never withhold our tithes and offerings and to be generous toward others. Lord, teach us to be cheerful givers, for You promised that if we sow sparingly, we will also reap sparingly. But if we sow bountifully, we will also reap bountifully. Help those of us who are married to work together, not against one another, and to pray for direction about our family finances. Help all of us to seek out wise counsel to improve our understanding of financial management. Give us patience as we go through the process of correction and restoration. May we learn from our past mistakes and be mindful to leave a faithful path of excellence in stewardship for our children to follow.Holy Father, forgive us of our many sins, including slothfulness, greed, pride, selfishness, arrogance, and rebelliousness. Forgive us when we carelessly make vows, then break them. Forgive us for conforming to the world’s way of doing things instead of adopting the values of the Kingdom. Forgive those of us who still withhold our tithe from You. Lord, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. 29
Holy Spirit, remind us of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. Prayer Topic #13: A Prayer for the End of War Scripture Reading:Psalm 46:9, 2 Corinthians 10:3Reflections of the Heart:“What is absurd and monstrous about war is that men who have no personal quarrel should be trained to murder one another in cold blood.” – Aldous HuxleyScriptural Prayer: Our Father, thank You for protecting families amid war. Thank You for watching over soldiers drawn into battles not of their own making. Thank You for moving the hearts of leaders to seek reconciliation and bring an end to conflict. The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to Him and are safe. The Lord our God will cover us with His feathers, and under His wings we will find refuge; His faithfulness will be our shield and rampart. Hallelujah!Righteous Father, Your Word says, we will hear wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that we are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. So we declare that we will not be afraid nor anxious. We will continue to pray, fast, believe, and have faith in You, Jehovah Nissi, our protector.Holy Spirit, is there a specific matter concerning the end of war that I should commit to prayer this week? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, we pray for peace to come to countries and people groups that are being ravaged and torn apart because of wars. We speak shalom over Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Palestine, Iran, and the United States, the civil wars of Sudan, Myanmar, and Syria, conflicts in the Middle East, North Africa, Lebanon, and Yemen. We come against and bind violent extremism in Sahel (Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Nigeria); Ethiopia; among the Suthi-Israeli; ethnic violence in South Sudan; criminal violence in Haiti; and drug cartels in Mexico. We speak peace over confrontations in Taiwan, the Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan, and tensions in Pakistan. We place all world conflicts in the hands of the Prince of Peace.Merciful Father, forgive those engaged in warfare for all acts of violence, injustice, murder, and sin. Help them to forgive one another. Give those engaged in warfare a revelation of the love You have for them and how much You have forgiven them so that they will forgive others. Forgive us for letting little things cause war and strife within our homes and families. Please help us to be forgiving and start a chain of forgiveness that will spread to everyone we encounter. Bless more people to be examples of what forgiveness looks like, and may it change the hearts and minds of people who can stop the evil of wars. Help us to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave us. Holy Spirit, remind us of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. Your love for us is so very great, we will give glory to Your name forever! Lord, You have rescued us from the depths of death. We will sing of Your unfailing love forever. Young and old will hear of Your faithfulness. Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens. Immortal Father, we command justice to run down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream within our judicial system in America. Your Word says that justice and righteousness are more acceptable to You than sacrifice. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. We confess that justice and righteousness will prevail in our nation, homes, workplaces, churches, schools and communities. You are the Lord who loves all of humankind; You are no respecter of persons. Lord, You created us in Your image and it is Your desire that we, Your creation, love each other as we love ourselves. Lord, we believe that You will raise us above the injustices of racism that our nation has witnessed lately. And because Your Spirit dwells within us, the Body of Christ, we confess that we will walk in righteousness and integrity. We will not discriminate against anyone because of their race, their sex, or their age. We will not pay back evil with more evil, but we will always do things in such a way that everyone can see that we are honorable. Holy Spirit, as I watch the news, show me how to pray specifically about the injustices in our nation: ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Holy Spirit, please help our nation to heal from the wounds that the recent instances of injustice have inflicted on the American people. Remind the members of the Body of Christ to not sin by letting anger control them. Grant each of us the desire and commitment to daily walk in Your justice and righteousness without prejudice or partiality. Deal with the hearts of those Christians who practice this ungodliness. Remind them to walk in Your Spirit and not in their flesh. Guide parents on how to talk with their children about this subject in a way that will not instill fear, anger, or hatred. Holy Spirit, I ask that You search my heart for areas of hidden discrimination or bias and remove it immediately from me. Abba Father, forgive us for any acts of racism, sexism, and ageism. Forgive our nation for its injustice, prejudice, and oppression. Forgive our nation for loving power and things instead of people. Please forgive those persons who are presently practicing racism, sexism, and ageism. As the Body of Christ, we renounce the gods of racism, sexism, and ageism. Forgive me, Father, for not acknowledging that when I make blanket statements about race, sex, or age that I am discriminating. Father, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take 33
a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.) Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one. Triumphant King, You are greater than any other god. You do whatever You please throughout all heaven and earth, and on the seas and in their depths. You cause clouds to rise over the earth. You send lightning with the rain and release the winds from Your storehouses. Your name, Lord, endures forever, Your fame is known to every generation. Yours, Lord, is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.
