The Po wer Guideis designed as atoolforstudy,reflectionand prayer.
Each prayer is writte n based on the model of the Lord’s Prayer (see
Matthe w 6:9-13).
In order to maxi m ize the use of your guide, please follo w the listed
instructions.
1. Set aside a fe w minutes each day to pray individually, with
your fa mily or prayer partner(s). Gradually build your prayer ti me
withtheLordtoatleastthirty(30)tosixty(60) minuteseachday.
You can split up your prayer ti me, if necessary, and pray a fe w
minutesinthe morning and evening. You choosetheti me of daythat
is good for you. Find a co mfortable place to pray and turn off any
distractions. If you have s mall children who need most of your
attention, pray the daily prayer with the m. Let God’s Word saturate
their hearing.
2. Refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar on page 7 for the specific
that daysothat we are unifiedin our daily praying. Please do not get
ahead of the prayer for the day. Before praying the “Scriptural
Prayer,”firstreadtheScriptureslistedfor“Scripture Reading.”
3. Pray the assigned prayer out loud. There is po wer in your
verbal expression. Parents, please encourage your children to pray
their prayer topics in the Children’s Po wer Guide out loud. Youth
(ages 13-17) may usethe Adult Po wer Guide.
4. These prayers areintended to be a springboard to help you
withyourprayerfulconversations. Trustthe HolySpirittohelpyouto
expand uponthe prayerthat you are prayingforthe day. If youspeak
in tongues, please pray in tongues over each prayer topic. Relax,
li s t e n a n d e nj o y t h e L o r d.

5. Record any reflections, revelations, orinspiration given by
the Holy Spiritin the Prayer Expectation section at the end of the
Po wer Guide.
6. Believe that the Lord ishearingyour prayer and kno w in
your heart that your praying will produce God’s results for the
prayer topicfor which you are praying.
7. After praying, make your daily po wer confession by using
the Daily Po wer Confessions located on page 56 in the back of
your Po wer Guide.
Whenyou speak God’s Word over yourlife, you
activate the po wer of His Wor d to wor k in yourlife andproduce
God’s results for yourlife. Expect God’s Wor d to transfor m your

Wednesdays at 7:00 p. m. at The KBC. Please refer to the Prayer

Jesusisthesametoday,yesterday,andforever!In Mark16:17-18(NLT),
Jesus said, “These signs will acco mpany those who believe: They will
castoutdemonsin myname,andthey willspeaknewlanguages. They
will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything
poisonous,it won’t hurtthe m. They will be ableto placetheir hands on
the sick and heal the m.” Therefore, as believers,let us do what Jesus
did!

Our Father, with our whole hearts, we givethanksto Yo u. Thank Youfor
being a God of hope and pro mise. Lord, thank You for sending Your
Word to heal us. Thank You for providing healing through the blood of
Your Son,Jesus Christ, our Lord. Lord, You are great and most worthy of
praise! No one can measure Your greatness. Each generation willtellits

with HIV and AIDS. Pleaseforgive us as a nationfor not being more
responsible with educating ourselves and our children on the
prevention of HIV and AIDS. Forgive our nation for fornication,
ho mosexuality, adultery, rape, drug use, discri mination,ignorance and
fear. Forgive the drug co mpanies for making medical treat ment
unaffordable. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have

Jesus Christ as Lord and forever be free fro m the grip of sin and guilt.
Keep trusting God to save the lost in this world and stay alert for
opportunities to share your personal story of rede mption with those
who arelookingfor hopetoday!

Glor ious Father, we thank You for Your unconditionallove. Thank You

while we were still sinners. Thank You for adopting us as Your children.

blessing the m acade mically, athletically and artistically. Thank You for
watching over the m and protecting the m fro m har m and danger. We
loveYou,Lord. Youareourstrength,ourrock,ourfortressandSavior.
You are our Rock, inwho m we find protection. You are our shield, the
po wer that saves us. You are our place of safety. You are a lovingand
kind Father.
AlmightyFather,today, wedeclarethatthefavoroftheLordsurrounds
our girls likea shield and they are blessed. Our girls will possess love,
joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,

think. As a result, they will learn what isGod’s will for the m, which is
good and pleasing and perfect. Like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego,
they will excel acade mically, socially, e motionally and psychologically.

Holy Spirit to give you the courage or to help you s wallo w your pride
