HOW TO USE THE POWER GUIDE
Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
I John 5:14-15
The Power Guide is designed as a tool for study, reflection and prayer. Each prayer is written based on the model of the Lord’s Prayer (see Matthew 6:9-13).
In order to maximize the use of your guide, please follow the listed instructions.
1. Set aside a few minutes each day to pray individually, with your family or prayer partner(s). Gradually build your prayer time with the Lord to at least thirty (30) to sixty (60) minutes each day. You can split up your prayer time, if necessary, and pray a few minutes in the morning and evening. You choose the time of day that is good for you. Find a comfortable place to pray and turn off any distractions. If you have small children who need most of your attention, pray the daily prayer with them. Let God’s Word saturate their hearing.
2. Refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar on page 6 for the specific prayer for the day. Only pray for the prayer topic that is assigned to that day so that we are unified in our daily praying. Please do not get ahead of the prayer for the day. Before praying the “Scriptural Prayer,” first read the Scriptures listed for “Scripture Reading.”
3. Pray the assigned prayer out loud. There is power in your verbal expression. Parents, please encourage your children to pray their prayer topics in the Children’s Power Guide out loud. Youth (ages 13-17) may use the Adult Power Guide.

These prayers are intended to be a springboard to help you with your prayerful conversations. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you to expand upon the prayer that you are praying for the day. If you speak in tongues, please pray in tongues over each prayer topic. Relax, listen and enjoy the Lord.
Record any reflections, revelations, or inspiration given by the Holy Spirit in the Prayer Expectation section at the end of the Power Guide.
Believe that the Lord is hearing your prayer and know in your heart that your praying will produce God’s results for the prayer topic for which you are praying.
After praying, make your daily power confession by using the Daily Power Confessions located on page 50 in the back of your Power Guide. When you speak God’s Word over your life, you activate the power of His Word to work in your life and produce God’s results for your life. Expect God’s Word to transform your life. I also recommend that you speak the Power Confessions over your family.
All members are asked to attend Victory Wednesday on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. at The KBC. Please refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar for your assigned Wednesday to attend Victory Wednesday. Assignments are listed based on the first letter of your last name.
Enjoy your time spent with the Lord and thank you for helping to implement God’s plans for our Church Family.
God Bless You!

Reflections of the Heart:
God has blessed a multitude of families through the Windsor Village Church Family. Take some time to thank God for His presence, power and provision for our Church Family.
Scriptural Prayer:
Omnipotent Father, we thank You for the Windsor Village Church Family. Thank You for giving us Pastors after Your heart. Thank You for uniting us, as a Church Family, for Your glory and honor. We exalt You, our God and King. We will praise Your Name forever and ever. Lord, You are great and most worthy of praise. No one can measure Your greatness. Each generation will tell its children of Your mighty acts; they will declare Your power. As a congregation, we will meditate on Your majestic, glorious splendor and Your wonderful miracles. Your awe- inspiring deeds will be on every tongue in our Church Family; we will tell everyone about Your greatness. We will share the story of Your wonderful goodness and sing with joy about Your righteousness.
Glorious Father, we thank You for rescuing us from the kingdom of darkness and transferring us into the Kingdom of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for engrafting us into Your Holy Family through the works of Jesus Christ. We once were a people without identity, but You have now made us Your people who are called Your righteousness. We once were without mercy, but now we have received Your mercy! Hallel YAH! Thank You for blessing us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm because we are united with Christ. Thank You for loving and choosing us in Christ to be holy and without fault in Your eyes, even before You made the world. Thank You for deciding in advance to adopt us into Your family by bringing us to Yourself through Jesus Christ. We praise You for the glorious grace You have poured out on us because we belong to Your dear Son. Thank You, Lord, for giving us another Helper, the Holy Spirit, to teach us and bring to our remembrance all things that You have spoken. Thank You for blessing our Church Family spiritually,

Holy Spirit, help us to always remember God’s goodness and faithfulness. Help us to remember and rejoice in those blessings that God has bestowed upon us as a Church Family so that we will not grow complacent and spoiled.
Loving Father, forgive us for not always being appreciative to You for the many blessings You have bestowed upon us as a Church Family. Forgive those who take Your presence for granted. Forgive those who treat You irreverently. Forgive those who refuse to share Your blessings with others. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, as a Church Family, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Great and marvelous are Your actions, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are Your ways, King of the nations. Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your Name? You alone are Holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous deeds have been revealed. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Daniel 2:20-23, Proverbs 2
Scriptural Prayer:
One True Living God, we thank You for the City of Houston. Thank You for Your grace, favor and mercy that You have shown this great city over the years. Thank You for allowing us, as citizens, the opportunity to uphold the men and women who will represent us in prayer. The earth is Yours Lord, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to You. Father, You laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths. Your eternal Word stands firm in heaven. Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth You created.
Magnificent Father, as the people of God, we come before You now, crying out for wisdom and discernment for all City of Houston leadership. As the people of God, we declare that our leadership will not be moved or motivated by race, nationality, gender, political alliance, or the media. But rather, they will seek Your will and trust that You in all their endeavors. We decree that wisdom will save us from any evil schemes or persons. We command Your Word, which we speak with boldness and faith, to interrupt the airwaves and destroy every word that is spoken by the media that does not align with Your will for the City of Houston and its leadership. We decree that every attempt to misconstrue the Truth will be confused, in Jesus’ Name. We declare that justice and righteousness will reign in our city. We cancel every assignment of the enemy to cause division in our city. We command the weather to be a perfect balance of sunshine and moderate temperatures on the day of the election.
Note: Please pray in your prayer language (pray in tongues) for today’s prayer topic. If you do not pray in tongues, then pray the following prayer out loud.
10
Holy Spirit, please show me which city leader(s) to specifically pray for today: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Gracious Father, only You know the truth of the human heart. Just as You clearly anointed David and Solomon as kings of Israel, please send your Spirit to lead the Mayor, City Council, and all leaders in the Houston city government. Encourage them to listen to You and to the people with whom You have entrusted them. Please reveal any potential hindrances that would prevent them from justly carrying out their duties. Touch their hearts to seek You.
Merciful Father, forgive our city leaders for not always seeking Your ways in all they do. Forgive them for any acts of unrighteousness including favoritism, racism, sexism, lying, deceit and manipulation. Forgive the media for partiality and bias. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our city leadership of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.
Holy Spirit, as city leadership, help them not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
Triumphant Lord, You are King! You are robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. Your throne has stood from time immemorial. You are from the everlasting past. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for the Houston Mayoral Candidates Scripture Reading:
Psalm 111:1-8, Psalm 4:1-5
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the City of Houston. Thank You for the democratic process and for the right to vote. Thank You for the authority to expect change through prayer. Father, through all the generations, You have been our home. Before the mountains were born, before You gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, You are God! We give thanks to You and proclaim Your greatness. To You will we sing songs of praise and tell everyone about Your wonderful deeds. We exalt Your holy Name. The earth is Yours Lord, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to You. You laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths. Royal power belongs to You, Lord, You rule all nations.
Gracious Father, we decree that all authority comes from You, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by You. Therefore, we declare that Your divine will be done during the Houston Mayoral election. Your Word states that You hold the heart of the king in Your hand and You will turn it in the direction that You choose. We confess and expect that the hearts of the candidates to be guided by the power of the Holy Spirit. We decree that righteousness and justice will abound and truth will be heard and seen during this election. We silence the voices who speak against God’s plans for our city. We destroy the assignments, devices, and schemes of the devil and we render every demonic effort powerless. Let God arise and His enemies be scattered. We command peace, be still on the day of the election. We decree that the weather will be a perfect balance of sunshine and moderate temperatures. By faith, we declare that every citizen has educated themselves on the issues and the candidates and they will vote intelligently.

Ask the Holy Spirit who is God’s person for the City Houston Mayor and then vote on November 5, 2019: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, continue to increase Your spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, courage, might, and knowledge within the candidates. We do not know what their level of commitment is to You, but we ask You to communicate with them on behalf of Your people in Houston. Equip them with everything they need for doing Your will and produce in them, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to You. Father, dispatch Your angels to guard and protect their families and destroy every assignment that the devil devises against them. Father, we know that nothing is too difficult for You. Miraculously unite the Body of Christ in our city, and show us who is Your person for the next two years.
Forgiving Father, please have mercy upon us and forgive our city for its many sins. Forgive each candidate for their sins. Forgive them for trusting in their own abilities instead of trusting in You. Forgive all of them for the exaggerations and untruths they have spoken. Forgive them for being people pleasers and not God pleasers. Forgive their campaign advisors and staff for devising plans that are deceitful and manipulative. Forgive us, the Body of Christ, for not praying for our leaders consistently. Forgive those citizens who have not exercised the privilege to vote, yet complain about our city’s leadership. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, if any of the candidates need to forgive anyone, please bring it to their remembrance and help them to forgive.
Holy Spirit, help the candidates, and all of their campaign staff not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Triumphant Lord, You are the eternal King, Your rule is everlasting. All the people of the earth are nothing compared to You. All of Your acts are just and true. You alone have held the oceans in Your hand. You measured the heavens with Your fingers and know the weight of the earth. The Lord God Almighty is Your Name. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #4:
A Declaration for the Weather on Election Day
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 29, Mark 4:35-39
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the rain we have received this year. We remember the terrible drought we experienced and we are thankful for the abundance of rain. As kings of the King and lords of the Lord, we thank You for granting us the authority to speak peace to both spiritual and natural events. Thank You for healing our ecosystem and restoring our agricultural system. Gracious Lord, we come singing a new song to You. We will sing praises to You, our Maker. We will praise Your Name with dancing accompanied by the tambourine and harp. Lord, You delight in Your people and crown the humble with victory. We, the faithful rejoice that You honor us. We will sing for joy as we lie on our beds. You are an awesome King!
Today, using the power and authority Jesus Christ has given you, go outside and speak to the weather as you continue praying this prayer: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Worthy Father, as Your dear children, it is Your will that we imitate You in all matters. When the storm was raging in the Sea of Galilee, Jesus spoke to it and said, “peace, be still!” Your Word says, “And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” We know that faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it is the assurance about things we cannot see. Therefore, by faith, we command the weather to be peaceful with a perfect balance of sunshine and moderate temperatures in the City of Houston on election day. We destroy the attempts of satan to impact the atmospheric conditions in any way.
Note: Please pray in your prayer language (pray in tongues) for today’s prayer topic. If you do not pray in tongues, then pray the following prayer out loud.
16
Holy Spirit, help each believer in our city to speak boldly with authority to the weather system, so that there are no disruptions for voters to get to the polls on election day.
Faithful Father, forgive the citizens of Houston, including me, for all acts of sinfulness that would cause the weather to respond in a harmful way. Forgive those for not believing that all things are possible through Jesus Christ who strengthens us. Forgive us for walking in doubt, unbelief, arrogance, and pride.
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Majestic Lord, You are the blessed and only Sovereign One. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords, who rides across the ancient heavens. O God, You are awesome in Your sanctuary. You are the God of Israel who gives strength and power to Your people. Blessed are You, forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #5:
A City of Houston Election Day Prayer
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 86:5-13, Romans 13:1-7
Scriptural Prayer:
Blessed Father, we thank You for the City of Houston. Thank You for the privilege of our democratic form of government. Thank You for leading and guiding us as we elect our local leaders. Lord, Your instructions are perfect, reviving our souls. Your decrees are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Your commandments are right, bringing joy to our hearts. Your commands are clear and they give us insight for living. We praise You for Your great wisdom. You deserve all glory, honor, and praise forever!
Everlasting Father, Your Word says that when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Therefore, as we vote in the election on today, we are trusting You to lead us in making these critical decisions. As we consider our voting options, we will not depend on our own understanding. We are seeking Your will, our Lord, and we believe that You will show us which path to take. Today, we will not be distracted by rhetoric, popular opinion, or sound bites. Using the authority given to us, we call forth Your Kingdom to come and Your divine will be done in the elections today. We confess that the hearts of Houston voters will be guided by the power of the Holy Spirit, as they vote today. We command peace, be still at every voting poll in our city. We decree that today’s elections will be conducted in fairness and integrity. In Jesus’ Name, we crush the demonic devices that would stir up strife, confusion, cynicism, and hopelessness among voters. We command the airwaves to bow to the voice of God. We decree that every attempt to misconstrue the Truth will be confused, in Jesus’ Name.
Note: Please pray in your prayer language (pray in tongues) for today’s prayer topic. If you do not pray in tongues, then pray the following prayer out loud.
18
Holy Spirit, today I will vote for the following candidates and I will vote for or against the following Propositions. Holy Spirit, please let me know if my will aligns with Yours: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, all of us have a preference, however, we ask You to establish Your plans in our city for our Mayor, City Council and Propositions. Expose all lies and deceptive tactics. Position Your angels to watch and guard each polling place. Help all of us to take our responsibility to vote seriously. Remind us all to conduct ourselves with grace and dignity at the polls so that we do not wrongly influence anyone or chide anyone based on perception. May we be models of excellent citizenship at all times. For those citizens who are conflicted in their hearts about whether or not they should vote at all, clarify for them the purpose of their vote and lead them to the polls to vote.
Wonderful Father, forgive us for not trusting You to lead our city. Forgive those leaders who have plotted to derail the democratic process for personal gain. Forgive those who continually abuse their power and influence. Forgive those citizens who refuse to exercise their right to vote. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them you, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Glorious Lord, the earth is Yours and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to You. Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of Glory enter. Who is the King of glory? The Lord of Heaven’s Armies – He is the King of glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Our Windsor Village Staff and Ministry Volunteers
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 96, I Corinthians 12:12-27
Reflections of the Heart:
As Kingdom Citizens, we are called to not only receive, but to serve. Therefore, let us pray that the Windsor Village staff and ministry volunteers are refreshed and renewed daily, so that those who are touched by them will see and feel the love of Christ.
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for our staff and ministry volunteers. Thank You, God, for guiding their feet into the way of peace. Thank You, Lord, for their commitment and dedication to the Kingdom work You are manifesting through our Windsor Village Church Family. Father, Your majestic Name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens. You have taught children and infants to tell of Your strength, silencing Your enemies and all who oppose You. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. Lord, You are such a faithful God. You are our rock, our deliverer, in whom we trust. You are worthy to be praised.
Righteous Father, let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven through our staff and ministry volunteers. We declare that each of them understand the roles they play in manifesting Your plans for the Kingdom. They have the mind of Christ, and they hold the thoughts and purposes of His heart. They hold fast to the profession of their faith without wavering; for You are faithful in fulfilling Your promises. Their minds will stay on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report. They are doers of the Word and not hearers only. They work as if You are their direct supervisor. Because of their service to Your Kingdom, their needs are consistently met according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Lord, we decree that they serve in humility, harmony and unity with others on their team. They each serve with a spirit of excellence and a garment of praise.
21
Holy Spirit, I will bless our staff and ministry volunteers in our Church Family by: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________

Give them favor with all persons they come in contact with and help them to complete every assigned task. Lord, protect them and keep them safe. Help them to not get tired of doing good. Fill each of them with joy and pour out Your love upon them.
Forgiving Father, forgive our staff and ministry volunteers for any acts of sinfulness. Forgive those for idolatry, dissension, strife, pride, rebellion, discord, jealousy, injustice, hatred and slander. Forgive those who murmur and complain. Triumphant Lord, You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power. You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #7:
A Prayer of Healing for People Diagnosed with Cancer
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 106:1-5, Isaiah 53:4-5
Reflections of the Heart:
In Mark 16:17-18 (NLT), Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.” Therefore, as believers, let us do what Jesus did!
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for watching over those persons who have been diagnosed with cancer. Thank You for Your healing power. Thank You, Lord, for declaring us over-comers by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. Lord, we proclaim Your righteousness and praise all the day long. Your faithful love endures forever and Your mercies never cease. Great is Your faithfulness. Who can compare to You? We exalt Your Holy and Righteous Name. You are the Holy One of Israel who sent Jesus, our Lord and Savior, to redeem all humankind from the curse of the law of sin and death.
Awesome Father, Your thoughts towards us are of peace and not evil, to give us a future and a hope. We believe that it is Your will that we live free from all diseases. Lord, by the authority given to us, we declare that the infirmity of cancer with its many forms and common types - bladder, breast, colon and rectal, endometrial, leukemia, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, prostate, skin, thyroid and other types - are destroyed, in Jesus’ Name. We command the primary abnormally deformed cell to die at its root and the metastasizing cells to cease from spreading throughout the body, especially to the lungs, bones, liver, brain and lymphatic system. We command the increased production of healthy cells to destroy renegade cells. Lord, as a Church Family, we declare that our members who have been diagnosed with cancer will not die; but live to tell what You have done. Lord, as a king of the King and a lord of the Lord, I command the Kingdom domain of healing to
24
manifest in the body of (name the person(s) who need healing from cancer). I declare that supernatural healing is flowing throughout his/her body, in Jesus Name.
List the names of persons who are battling with cancer. Now, declare
this word over their lives today and encourage them to trust the Lord.
Give them a copy of our Healing Scriptures Guide and encourage them
to pray them. Guide can be downloaded from here:

Holy Spirit, please reveal the cure for cancer. We ask You to increase the wisdom and knowledge of medical researchers as they perform cancer studies. We ask You to strengthen those persons who are being treated for cancer. Increase their endurance and patience as they undergo x-rays, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biological therapy, hormone therapy, surgery, cryosurgery and other procedures. Holy Spirit, comfort and strengthen their family members. Help their family members to walk in love, peace, patience and faith. Please protect those who have not been touched by cancer. Destroy any triggers that would create cancerous cells in our bodies. Lord, help us to break poor eating and sleeping habits. Remind us to exercise, eat healthy and get enough sleep. Touch our society to promote healthy lifestyle practices.
Loving Father, we ask You to forgive the sins of those diagnosed with cancer. Forgive us all for unhealthy lifestyles and habits. Forgive us for not being good stewards of neither our bodies nor our children’s. Forgive our nation for promoting unhealthy food and lifestyles. Forgive us for holding grudges, unforgiveness, resentment, and embedded anger. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind those who have been diagnosed with cancer to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.
25
Holy Spirit, help those who have been diagnosed with cancer not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
Triumphant Lord, You are our Redeemer. You are the Lord who made all things. You alone stretched out the heavens and made the earth. Lord, forever Your Word is settled in heaven. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #8:
A Prayer for Caregivers
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 99, I Corinthians 13
Reflections of the Heart:
“It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life--that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself.” ~ American Poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson
Scriptural Prayer:
Worthy Father, we praise Your wonderful Name. Thank You for those in our Church Family who have assumed the responsibility as caregiver for a parent or relative. Thank You for Your sufficient grace which is given to each of them daily. Thank You for working in them and giving them the desire and power to do what pleases You. We are grateful for their willingness to model Jesus in the way that they give up their lives to meet the needs of others. Heavenly Father, we have seen You in Your sanctuary and gazed upon Your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself. How we praise You! Because You are our Helper, we will sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings. We cling to You. Your strong right hand holds us securely. How joyful are those of us who fear You, Lord. We delight in obeying Your commands.
Holy Father, we confess that in Your unsearchable wisdom, You have graced the caregivers in our Church Family. We declare that they will not get tired of doing good; but that they will persevere until the appointed time for them to reap their harvest of blessing. As they trust in You to fill them with new strength, they will soar high on wings of eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. They will remain strong and courageous; confident that the sacrifices they are making will be rewarded. Lord, we decree that even when they plant in tears, they will harvest with shouts of joy. No matter how challenging the task, they will do everything without complaining or arguing so that no one can criticize them. As they do this, they will shine like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. We declare that from Your glorious, unlimited resources, You, our Father, will empower them with inner strength through the Holy Spirit.
27
Consider those you know who are caregivers and ask the Holy Spirit to help you identify three ways you can be a blessing to them today: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, give comfort to those who spend their lives comforting others. Lord, for those who are now parenting a parent or guardian, please help them to process this role reversal and give them the strength and wisdom to handle this change without disrespecting their parent or guardian. Remind them that the Father sees their sacrifices and He will reward them. Encourage them to not neglect their mental and physical health and help them to find healthy, holy ways to relax. Please send others to relieve them of their duties so that they can enjoy rest, fun and relaxation. Lord, please help the caregivers to not grow resentful or angry; but help them to roll their cares upon You and trust that You will take care of both them and the loved one they are caring for. Remove those who are abusive and mean-spirited. As a Church Family, show us how we can support the caregivers among us.
Gracious Father, forgive those of us who take caregivers for granted. Forgive those who selfishly overload them with tasks. Forgive those who are caregivers for succumbing to anger and frustration when they should be patient and tenderhearted. Forgive those caregivers for murmuring and complaining, and for being inconsiderate. Forgive those who may have been negligent and lazy while caring for others. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our caregivers of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names and faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive names of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help our caregivers not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
O Holy One of Israel, You are King! Let the nations tremble. You sit on Your throne between the cherubim. Let the whole earth quake! You sit

in majesty in Jerusalem, exalted above all the nations. We exalt You and bow low before Your feet, for You are holy! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #9:
A Prayer for Mature Adults
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 16:5-11, Titus 2:1-5
Reflections of the Heart:
We live in a society that celebrates youthfulness and looks down upon getting older. Billions of dollars are spent on products and procedures to keep people looking and feeling young. Our elders have seen things we couldn’t even imagine and survived things we could never comprehend facing. They are filled with wisdom and experience that our society needs. Take some time to pray for the mature adults in your life. Let us not forget them.
Scriptural Prayer:
Gracious Father, we thank You for our mature adults. Thank You for blessing each day of their lives. Thank You for blessing them with an abundance of Your wisdom and knowledge. Thank You for providing for their spiritual, emotional, financial and physical needs. Loving Father, we praise Your Name. We praise You because You are good. We will celebrate Your lovely Name with music. We know Your greatness and that You, our Lord, are greater than any other god. Your Name, O Lord, endures forever; Your fame is known to every generation. You are righteous in everything that You do; You are filled with kindness. You are close to all who call upon You in truth. You grant the desires of those who fear You; You hear their cries for help and rescue them. We praise You, Lord; may everyone on earth bless Your holy Name forever and ever.
Eternal Father, we confess that the older men in our Church Family will exercise self-control, are worthy of respect and live wisely. They have strong faith and are filled with love and patience. We declare that our mature women are honorable and righteous. They are not slanderous or heavy drinkers. Instead, we confess that they will teach others what is good; they will train the younger women in our Church Family to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. We decree that our mature men are models of God’s strength and
30
faithfulness and they will teach our young men to respect authority, provide for their wives and children, live wisely, lead with compassion and fairness, and love their wives like Christ loves the church. We declare that our mature adults will continue to flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. Even in old age, they will still produce fruit and remain vital and green.
Holy Spirit, we know that some of our mature adults are lonely; please help us as a Church Family to reach out to them and surround them with the love of the Father. Impress upon their family members to come and visit them and spend quality time with them. Please help us to identify those who have isolated themselves and show us how to effectively meet their needs. Lord, mature adults have worked hard all of their lives and some of them have seen their retirement funds depleted. Please open up new revenue streams so that they will not have to struggle or go without financially. Father, protect them from those who would try to prey upon them with get-rich-quick schemes, unnecessary mediation, predatory loans or any other schemes to steal from them. Increase their discernment and wisdom when they make decisions, especially where their health and finances are concerned. Remind our younger generations to regard our mature adults with honor and respect.
Write down the names of mature adults that you know. Now, write down ways that you can enrich or bless their lives: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Merciful Father, forgive us as a nation for disregarding and disrespecting our mature adults. Forgive us for viewing mature adults as feeble and disposable. Forgive those mature adults who don’t depend completely upon You, but look at their circumstances. Forgive those who have allowed life to cause them to grow bitter and angry. Forgive those individuals who do not check on or intentionally do not spend time with their older relatives. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our mature adults of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may
31
need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, remind our mature adults not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
Triumphant Lord, there is no one like You! You are great, and Your Name is full of power. Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? That title belongs to You alone! All glory majesty, power and authority are Yours before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #10:
A Prayer for People Who Are Homeless
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 126, Matthew 25:34-40
Reflections of the Heart:
The majority of us will never know what it is like to not have a safe, secure place to go home to. Unfortunately, for far too many Americans, homelessness is an everyday reality. The biggest tragedy is how many of those homeless are children and youth. Take time to thank God for the blessing of shelter that He has afforded you; but also take time and pray for those who are currently out in the elements without shelter.
Scriptural Prayer:
Righteous Father, we thank You for being a God of grace and mercy. Thank You for knowing each homeless person and family intimately. Thank You for being their protection, shelter, hope and help. The heavens proclaim Your Glory, Lord. The skies display Your craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night You are made known. Father, Your instructions are perfect, reviving the soul. Your decrees are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Your commandments are right, bringing joy to the heart. Your commands are clear, giving insight for living. Reverencing You is pure, lasting forever. Your laws are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.
Glorious Father, we confess that Your arm is not too weak to save the homeless, neither is Your ear deaf to hear their calls. Lord, You know each of them and call them by name. You know everything about them, when they sit down and when they stand up. You know their thoughts even when they are far away. We rejoice Mighty King, because You said You will never fail nor abandon them. Lord, You said that the poor will always be among us, but You also mandated that we take care of them. You said that we are to share our food with the hungry, give shelter to the homeless, and give clothes to those who need them and to not hide from our relatives who need our help. We declare that, as a Church Family, we will commit to feeding the hungry and helping those who are
33
in trouble. Lord, then You will guide us continually, give us water when we are dry and restore our strength.
Holy Spirit, show me how I can be a blessing to the homeless community in Houston: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, we ask that You would be a wall of protection and deliverance around the homeless daily. Watch over them while they sleep and protect them from violence, abuse, and theft. Lord, we cry out on behalf of the children whose families are homeless. Help them to overcome their bleak beginnings and show them how precious they are in Your sight. Help them to focus and study so that they will excel in school. Encourage them when other children say mean things about them because of their circumstances. Holy Spirit, change the hearts of the leaders of our country who continue to ignore the plight of the homeless, yet they pursue greed and avarice. Lord, for those who are homeless because of an addiction or mental illness, please help them to find the help they need so that they can get their lives back in order and begin to rebuild. Father, bless Pastor Velosia and Daniel Kibe and each member of our Global and Local Missions and Outreach ministries as they serve those in need. Please continue to empower and provide for our Church Family financially so that we have the resources to battle this cultural atrocity.
Merciful Father, forgive those homeless persons whose poor decisions have led to their current situation. Forgive those who are homeless due to drugs, alcohol, gambling, addictions, or poor work habits. Forgive those people who would seek to take advantage of the homeless. Forgive those who look down upon the homeless. Forgive those of us who have resources to give to the homeless but refuse to give. Forgive those agencies who claim to be advocates for the homeless, but misappropriate the resources. Forgive our nation for creating systems that produce a homeless population. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind the homeless of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people
34
that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help the homeless not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, where is there anyone as mighty as You? You are entirely faithful. You are far more awesome than all who surround Your throne. Your home reaches up to the heavens, while its foundation is on the earth. You draw water up from the oceans and pour it down as rain on the land. The Lord is Your Name! You are mighty, but You do not despise anyone! You are mighty in both power and understanding. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #11:
A Declaration of Restoration of the American Family
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 95:1-7, Ephesians 5:21-33, Ephesians 6:1-4
Reflections of the Heart:
The family unit is the backbone of any society. When the family break downs, society has no foundation upon which to stand. Let us exercise our authority and begin to declare that the American family will once again be restored and reflect the Kingdom of God.
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, our souls honor You. Thank You for our family relationships. We thank You for Your peace umpiring our familial relationships and interactions. Lord, we thank You for fulfilling Your plans and purposes in our lives and for surrounding us with favor like a shield. Thank You for blessing us continually with Your loving-kindness and tender mercies. Lord, Your mercy endures forever. You are great and Your power is absolute. Your understanding is beyond comprehension. We love You and extol Your Holy Name. Out of the mouths of babes and infants, You have ordained strength. What are mere mortals that You should think of them, human beings that You should care for them?
Omnipotent Father, we acknowledge that we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies for our families, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Therefore, we gird ourselves with the full armor of God as we fight for the restoration of families in the United States of America. We rebuke every enemy that is coming against our families including: domestic violence, divorce, adultery, incest, selfishness, poor communication and broken homes. For the first time in recorded history, there are now more single adults than married adults. We understand that not all are called to be married, but we rebuke the spirits of pride, stubbornness, fear and greed that prevent those who are supposed to be married from fulfilling their purpose. Lord, You told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply; to fill and subdue the earth and to have dominion. Lord, it is Your will
36
that the people created in Your image be in charge here and not the forces of darkness.
List those families that you know are in trouble and ask the Holy Spirit how you can pray for them: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, help us, as a nation, to make the family a priority again. Help parents to stop being so focused on material items, that they fail to spend time with their children and impart Godly self-esteem and emotional stability into them. Remind us that God’s Word should be our guide and not the norms and customs of the world. Help our parents to stop allowing the television, internet or video games to raise their children, but instead to spend time with their children and impart Godly values and wisdom into them so that when they have grown up, they will not depart from Your ways. Help our married couples to honor one another and not take each other for granted. Keep the lines of communication open in these marriage so that the marriage bed will not be defiled. Help our married couples to honor their marriage vows and not be so quick to look for a way out when things get difficult.
Merciful Father, please forgive our American families for sin. Forgive us for allowing our jobs to be a greater priority than our families. Forgive us for taking our loved ones for granted. Forgive us for not praying for our family members consistently. Forgive us for strife, anger, envy, jealousy, adultery and for verbal or physical abuse within our homes.
Holy Spirit, help our families not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Prayer Topic #12:
A Declaration of Kingdom Financial Blessings
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 113, Malachi 3:6-12
Reflections of the Heart:
“As a king of the King, I will make choices so that my God-given domain positions me for blessings, delight, provision and prohibition. I choose to get ready for my new life as a king!” ~ Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your eternal love and unmerited grace. We thank You for Your love for us that never ceases and Your mercy which never comes to an end. Your mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Thank You, Father, for being our strength, our shield, our provider and our Savior. You are great and You do wondrous things. You are God alone. Lord, You are in Your Holy temple; You are on Your heavenly throne. To You, O God do we give thanks. Yes, to You do we give thanks. We extol You, our God, O King; and we bless Your Name forever and ever.
Righteous Father, as Kingdom citizens, it is Your will that we excel in the area of our finances. We recognize that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Therefore, we will earn, save, spend and invest money in obedience to Your perfect plan for our lives and our families. We confess that as You bring financial blessings into our lives, we will remember that it is You who gives us the power to get wealth so that the covenant which You swore to our fathers will be established and we will be positioned as instruments to build Your Kingdom. Father, we confess that all that we set our hands to do is blessed because You have commanded blessings on our storehouses, including savings, investments and retirement accounts. Lord, we declare that as Your blessings overtake us, we will be able to lend money to many and not have to borrow from anyone. We confess that as we bring our tithes and offerings into Your house, we are expecting You to pour out blessings that we will not have room to receive and You will rebuke the devourer for our sakes.
39
Holy Spirit, show me what I need to do so that I can be a better steward of the resources I have been blessed with: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Holy Spirit, we ask that You shift our focus from spending to saving and from consuming our income to building wealth. Help our Church Family members to bind mercy and truth around our necks and write them on our hearts; causing us to have favor in Your sight and in the sight of man. Lord, help us to study Your Word, to meditate on it day and night and observe to do the things written within it so that we may make our way prosperous and have good success. Holy Spirit, help us to build business and personal relationships with other Christians. Help us to begin to love people and use money, rather than loving money and using people. We pray for a breaking of old mindsets and generational curses of poverty and lack within the families of our congregation.
Forgiving Father, forgive us for our sins. Forgive us for repeating patterns of financial failures such as living beyond our means and misusing credit cards. Forgive those in our congregation and our communities for our heavy dependence on payday loan outlets and pawn shops. Forgive us for failing to develop financial plans that include debt reduction, savings and investments. Father, forgive us for walking by sight, rather than walking in faith. Forgive many of us for entertaining thoughts that we are supposed to have the most of the worst and the least of the best. Forgive those in our congregation who have refuse to make court-ordered child support payments. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Yours, God, is the power and the glory. Yours, O Lord, is the victory and the majesty. All that is in heaven and earth is Yours. Yours is the

Kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

How thankful are you? Have you expressed your thankfulness to the Lord by telling Him how grateful you are? If not, tell Him today!
Scriptural Prayer:
Eternal Father, we thank You for giving us Your Name and making us Your children. Thank You for giving us a future and a hope. Thank You for being our Shepherd and protecting us. Loving Father, forgive us for being ungrateful and unappreciative. Forgive us for acting spoiled and arrogant. Forgive us for always wanting more and not counting our blessings. Forgive us for acts of rebellion and disobedience. Father, thank You for not dealing with us according to our sins nor punishing us according to our iniquities. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to You, Lord, who sits on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever. You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created. Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Prayer Topic #14:
A Prayer for the United States of America Economy
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 8, Psalm 37:1-19
Reflections of the Heart:
God believes in economic development. He wants a nation to flourish. Psalm 33:12 states, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” Let us pray today for our nation’s economy!
Scriptural Prayer:
Gracious Father, we thank You for being faithful to the United States of America throughout our history. Thank You for blessing us to prosper and to grow from generation to generation. Thank You for keeping our nation through our economic hardships and financial conflicts. You have been merciful, Lord. This whole earth, everything in it, and the people who inhabit it belong to You, O God. It is You who supplies us with abundance. It is You who sustains us in times of lack. Your instructions are perfect, they revive our souls. Your commandments are clear and right. They give us insight for living. We, Your children, delight in them and love to meditate on them day and night. We are grateful that You are willing to bear the heavy burdens of our nation so that we are free to worship You and receive rest. Dear Father, it is You who strengthens our nation and holds us up with Your victorious right hand!
Holy Father, we stand in the authority of Jesus’ Name, rebuking the principalities and powers that are inciting conflict and destruction in our nation’s businesses, banks, oil and gas industry, and every other financial entity that contributes to our national economy. We command our economic infrastructure to stabilize and align to Your will, Lord. We confess that the hope of our nation’s citizens will no longer be deferred. Lord, we declare that You will continue to raise up people within our nation’s financial leadership who have a supernatural anointing like Joseph’s to receive, interpret, and administrate visions that will save companies, restore jobs, and open new opportunities in stagnant sectors of our economic markets. All-Knowing Father, we decree that Your solution will be sought and revealed in the earth to justify
44
American jobs and encourage innovation and global competitiveness among domestic corporations, giving priority consideration to United States taxpayers.
Make a list of three businesses in your community and begin to specifically pray that they are successful: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Glorious Father, we pray that Your generous outpouring of wisdom, discernment, and divine understanding will be gladly received by all local, state, and national economic and governmental leaders. Holy Spirit, we ask You to strategically assign men and women who are fully equipped to reveal creative ideas and effective methods to the current presidential economic team. Show them how to decrease our national deficit while continuing to provide the necessary standards, services, and benefits to the American people. Holy Spirit, please revive the Body of Christ and remind us of who we are − the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Give us divine motivation to boldly declare the Word of God so that those who have become captives of this world’s system can be liberated. Help us, as a nation, to reconnect to the Living God as our source and supply, and remove any thoughts of doubt, fear, or dismay.
Loving Father, we repent on behalf of our nation for our many sins. We acknowledge that many of us played an active role in causing the downturn of our economy. Forgive us for greed, arrogance, selfishness, and oppression of the poor. Forgive our CEOs for overcompensating themselves and placing their employees and companies in jeopardy in order to maintain their lavish lifestyles and greedy appetites. Forgive those consumers who acted out of impulse and impatience and made unwise choices, landing them and their families in tremendous debt. Merciful Father, please forgive our nation for being selfish, reckless, and irresponsible with the blessings You intended to be handed down to the generations following us. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind the citizens of our nation of those they need to forgive and help us all to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people

that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us, as a nation, not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Omnipotent God, how great are Your riches and wisdom and knowledge! You are the God who does great things too marvelous to understand. It is You who performs countless miracles. We praise You, Lord! Let everyone on earth bless Your holy Name forever and ever! Everything comes from You and exists by Your power and is intended for Your glory. All glory to You forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer Topic #15:
A Prayer for Our U.S. Military Personnel
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 117, Psalm 18:31-50
Reflections of the Heart:
Self-centeredness is the essence of the worldliness in wars. Humility is the opposite of the proud selfishness and self-centered ambition which characterizes this present evil warring age. Therefore, let us seek peace, for the seed of the righteous, even in our military, will conquer the gates of the wicked.
Scriptural Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for our U.S. Military personnel. We thank You for blessing our armed forces throughout history. We thank You for making our nation a mighty power in the world. Thank You for our men and women who are returning home from Iraq. Lord, we praise and honor Your Name. Your Name is the Lord and we rejoice before You. You have been our home through all the generations. We praise You, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and amen! O Lord, what a variety of things You have made. In wisdom, You have made them all. The earth is full of Your creatures. Lord, You are a faithful, loving and compassionate God and we bless You.
Righteous Father, we declare that You are the light and salvation of our military personnel; they will not be afraid. You are their fortress and their protection from danger; they will not tremble. Any enemy or foe who comes to attack them will stumble and fall. Our soldiers will trust in You with all of their hearts and they will not depend on their own understanding. They will seek Your will in all that they do, and we know that You will show them which path to take. We declare that our military personnel are blessed and highly favored. They will submit themselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from them. With the authority given to us, we cancel the assignment of anxiety, depression, anger, fear and confusion and declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper. We command God’s order to prevail within the Veteran Affairs system.

List the name(s) of the active or inactive military veteran(s) you know and insert their name(s) in the prayer: ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________
Worthy Father, please continue to provide for the families of those soldiers who have been deployed to war. Holy Spirit, help our veterans who have returned home to process all they have experienced. Heal any physical and emotional wounds. Please help them with their familial, social, and professional relationships. Lord, we ask that the wait times for appointments at the VA Hospital will be shortened and that each veteran will be treated with dignity and respect. Holy Spirit, please give our government officials the wisdom on how to cut down on the red tape that ensnares so many veterans from receiving all of the benefits they are entitled to. As a nation, help us to not overlook or discount the sacrifices our military veterans have made for the freedom of our nation.
Forgiving Father, please forgive our active and inactive military personnel for their sins. Forgive them for lying, cheating, stealing, slander, strife, malice, envy, jealousy, selfishness, disobedience and rebellion. Forgive our nation for hypocrisy, slander, greed, racism, injustice, elitism, hatred, and violence. Father, forgive the media for misrepresenting the truth. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.) Holy Spirit, remind our active and inactive military personnel of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.
Holy Spirit, help our active and inactive military personnel not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
Lord, You reign. You dwell between the cherubim; let the earth be moved. You are great in Zion and high above all people. Your name is so great and awesome. You are Holy. Yours is the kingdom, the power and glory, forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
