HOW TO USE THE POWER CONNECTION GUIDENow this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. I John 5:14-15 The Power Guide is designed as a tool for study, reflection and prayer. Each prayer is written based on the model of the Lord’s Prayer (see Matthew 6:9-13). In order to maximize the use of your guide, please follow the listed instructions.1. Set aside a few minutes each day to pray individually, with your family or prayerpartner(s). Gradually build your prayer time with the Lord to at least thirty (30) to sixty(60) minutes each day. You can split up your prayer time, if necessary, and pray a fewminutes in the morning and evening. You choose the time of day that is good for you.Find a comfortable place to pray and turn off any distractions. If you have smallchildren who need most of your attention, pray the daily prayer with them. Let God’sWord saturate their hearing.2. Refer to the Prayer Topic Calendar on page 5 for the specific prayer for the day. Onlypray for the prayer topic that is assigned to that day so that we are unified in our dailypraying. Please do not get ahead of the prayer for the day. Before praying the“Scriptural Prayer,” first read the scriptures listed for “Scripture Reading.”3. Pray the assigned prayer out loud. There is power in your verbal expression. Parentsplease encourage your children to pray their prayer topics in the Children’s PowerGuide out loud. Youth (ages 13-17) may use the Adult Power Guide.4. These prayers are intended to be a springboard to help you with your prayerfulconversations. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you to expand upon the prayer that you arepraying for the day. If you speak in tongues, please pray in tongues over each prayertopic. Relax, listen and enjoy the Lord.5. Record any reflections, revelations, or inspiration given by the Holy Spirit in the PrayerExpectation section at the end of the Power Guide.6. Believe that the Lord is hearing your prayer and know in your heart that your prayingwill produce God’s results for the prayer topic for which you are praying.7. After praying, make your daily power confession by using the Daily Power Confessionslocated on page 22. When you speak God’s Word over your life, you activate the powerof His Word to work in your life and produce God’s results for your life. Expect God’sWord to transform your life. I also recommend that you speak the Power Confessionsover your family.8. Enjoy your time spent with the Lord and thank you for helping to “take the world byprayer.”God Bless You! Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If we tried to recite all Your wonderful deeds, we would never come to the end of them. Your throne, O God, lasts forever and ever. Glorious King, You send Your Word out and it always produces fruit. It will do just what You want it to and it prospers everywhere that You send it. So, Father, we declare that we will continue to circle the promises that You have made in Your Word and confess them daily, trusting that Your Word will produce fruit in our lives. We will not grow weary while we wait for Your promises. We confess that we walk by faith and not by sight. We refuse to give up on You. We refuse to give in to small goals and we refuse to give out to fatigue or despair. Prayer Topic #3: A Declaration of Spiritual Authority and PowerScripture Reading:Psalm 106, Luke 10:19, Romans 13:1Scriptural Prayer: Glorious Father, thank You for claiming us as Your children. As ambassadors of Christ, we thank You for the tremendous privilege of representing You here on earth! Thank You for equipping us through the Word and the Holy Spirit to walk in authority, wisdom and power. Thank You for continuing to teach us who we are in and through You. Lord, You are great and deserving of praise. O God, we will meditate on Your unfailing love as we worship in Your Temple. As Your Name deserves, You will be praised to the ends of the earth. Your strong right hand is filled with victory. Triumphant God, You gave the commandment that we are to be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth and govern it and reign over it. As Believers, we declare that we will exercise the power and authority that Christ Jesus has given unto us. We will cast out demons in Your Name, lay hands on the sick and they will recover, and declare the Good News to everyone. We will walk in Your authority and manifest the Kingdom of God at school and everywhere we go. We will study Your Word continually and meditate on it day and night so that we will be careful to follow Your instructions. As we do this, we will prosper and succeed in all that we do. We represent Jesus Christ to our families, our schools, and to our communities. Holy Spirit, we ask You to help each of us to see and truly perceive all that You have made us to be as ambassadors of Christ in this world! Help each of us to understand our position in The Kingdom. Remind us when we feel inferior, that we are joint heirs with Christ Jesus. Heal the self-esteem of those who can’t picture themselves as victorious and remind them that You, Holy Spirit, are within them, and You are greater than any spirit in this world. Lord, help us all to increase in our God confidence. Reveal to each of us those mindsets, habits and behaviors that contradict who we are in You and in Your Kingdom. Show each of us how to exercise Kingdom authority in our individual work assignments within our sphere of influence. Merciful Father, forgive those who deny the existence or power of the Holy Spirit. Forgive us for not completely yielding control of our lives to the Holy Spirit. Father, please forgive me for the times I have overlooked the honor of being a child of God. Forgive us for trying to accomplish supernatural things while operating in our flesh. As for me, Holy Spirit, please bring to my remembrance those that I need to forgive. You are the God of gods and Lord of lords. You are the great God, the mighty and awesome God who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed. You alone are worthy of praise because You alone perform such great miracles. In the majestic name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, amen!Scripture References for the Written Text: Genesis 1:26, Psalm 48:1,9-10, Genesis 1:28, Mark 16:15-18, Joshua 1:8-9, Romans 8:17, I John 4:4, Matthew 6:13, Deuteronomy 10:14,17-219

Prayer Topic #4: A Declaration of FreedomScripture Reading: Psalm 113:2-6, 2 Corinthians 3:17Spiritual PrayerHeavenly Father, we thank You, O God! We give thanks because You are near. People everywhere tell of Your wonderful deeds. Lord, we thank You and praise Your glorious Name! Everything we have has come from You, and we give You only what You first gave us! Thank You, Holy Spirit, for empowering us to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ and being God’s guarantee for the inheritance He promised. Because of You, this guarantee includes that we have been purchased to be His own people. Hallel YAH! Father God, we praise You, our Savior. Mighty God, Your Word says that we have not received a spirit that makes us fearful slaves; instead, we have received Your Spirit when You adopted us as Your children. We confess that the same Holy Spirit who resurrected Jesus from the dead now dwells within us. It is the Holy Spirit who gives life to our mortal bodies, just as He gave life to Christ and raised Him from the dead. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory You will reveal to us later. For we wait eagerly for that future day when You will reveal who Your children really are. Holy Spirit, as we celebrate our liberty at special times throughout the United States, remind us of those who struggled before us to ensure these freedoms. Even as we honor days like June 19th and what it stands for, give us the courage to acknowledge and destroy racism, so that we are able to obey the commandment to love one another. Prevent any works of evil that would hinder us from being just and fair, doing what is right and good and carrying out the Lord’s original plans and purposes for our lives. Help all people to seek Your wisdom and allow You to direct their paths as they do their part in reforming our nation. Holy Spirit, we pray that the Body of Christ will rise up in leadership to demonstrate God’s love as our nation works to identify and replace racism and oppression of any kind with justice and righteousness. Merciful Father, forgive us for not completely yielding control of our lives to You. Forgive those who do not stand for justice and righteousness for all people. Forgive Christian leaders who fail to teach believers Your Word about how You look upon the hearts of all people and not upon their physical human characteristics. Forgive our nation for all acts of sinfulness. Lord, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.How great are You, O Lord! Your power is absolute! Your understanding is beyond comprehension! You are mighty, but You do not despise anyone! You are mighty in both power and understanding. Wealth and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything. Power and might are in Your hand, and at Your discretion people are made great and given strength. In the mighty and wonderful name of Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, we pray. amen.Scripture References for the Written Text: Psalm 75:1, 1 Chronicles 29:13-14, Ephesians 1:14, Psalm 68:19-20, Romans 8:11-15, Romans 8:18-19, Matthew 6:13, Psalms 147:5, Job 36:5, I Chronicles 29:12 10

Prayer Topic #5: A Declaration of Holiness for Our Youth Scripture Reading:Psalm 25:8-10, Romans 1:18-32Scriptural Prayer: Blessed Father, we thank You for our youth. Thank You for having a plan for their lives that is good and not evil, so that they will each have a future and a hope. Thank You for filling each of them with Your precious Holy Spirit to instruct, correct and teach them how to live uprightly before You. Lord, we promise to obey Your words! Your unfailing love, O Lord, fills the earth; teach us Your decrees. Sovereign King, we confess that our youth will truly understand that their bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit. They will give their bodies to You and will be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind You will find acceptable, for this is truly the way to worship You. They will not copy the illicit behavior and customs of this world, but they will let You, Father, transform them into new people by changing the way they think. Our youth will learn and grow in Your Word. They will know Your will for them, which is good and pleasing and perfect. They will worship You and be thankful. They will not trade the truth about You for a lie. We cancel every generational curse of perversion. We decree that our youth will not partake in pornography, fornication, homosexuality, bestiality, or any other sexual perversion. We confess that they will unashamedly run from sexual sin. Holy Spirit, our Deliverer, some of our youth are ensnared by the sexual perversions of this world. Please remove the scales from their eyes and circumcise their hearts so that they can see themselves reflected in God’s Word. Remind them that they are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, Your very own possession. Deliver them from the shame and anger that perversion and sin create in their hearts and minds. Remind them that there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus and that nothing can ever separate them from the Father’s love that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Help our youth to make Godly choices. Surround them with strong Christian friends who will support them and hold them accountable when they are wrong. Holy Spirit, help our parents to be actively involved in their children’s lives. Help them to create holy, positive home environments for their children and youth. Merciful Father, forgive our youth for any sexual sin they have participated in. Forgive those parents and guardians who have not created holy environments in their homes and lived as models of righteousness and integrity. Forgive us, as the Body of Christ, for turning a blind eye to what our children and youth are doing. Forgive us for not openly discussing sexual purity with our youth. Lord, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind our youth of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. Holy Spirit, help our youth not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one. Almighty God, You are the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to You who sits on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever. In Jesus’ name, amen. Prayer Topic #6: A Prayer for Our FathersScripture Reading: Psalm 134, Psalm 128Scriptural Prayer: Triumphant Father, we thank You for the fathers in the Body of Christ. Thank You for reminding them daily that they are created in Your image. Thank You for crowning each of them with glory and honor. Thank You for helping them to take their rightful place as the head of their homes. We, Your servants, give praise to You, Lord. Your Name will be blessed now and forever! Lord, You are high above the nations; Your glory is higher than the heavens. Majestic Father, by faith, we declare that the fathers in the Body of Christ are saved, sanctified, and filled with Your Holy Spirit. They are priestly providers and protectors of their families. We confess that our fathers will not copy the behavior and customs of this world; but they will allow You, Lord, to transform them into new men by changing the way they think. We decree that our fathers are the head and not the tail; they are always on top and never at the bottom. We confess that our fathers will not provoke their children to anger by the way they treat them; but they will raise them with the discipline and instruction that comes from You, our Heavenly Father. Above all, we confess that our fathers have victorious futures because Your plans for them are of hope, filled with good and not evil. We confess that our fathers are mighty men of valor. Holy Spirit, we ask You to fill our fathers with the knowledge of Your Word in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Please order their days so that their daily activities are balanced and fruitful. Make the crooked places in their lives straight and perfect those things that concern them. Help each father to not grieve Your Spirit. Teach them how to develop the individual spiritual gifts and talents of their children. Restore the broken or struggling relationships between fathers and children. Increase Your love in those father/child(ren) relationships that are doing well. Holy Spirit, comfort those who have experienced the death of their father and equip us as the Body of Christ to provide the support that they may need. Faithful Father, forgive our fathers for sins of disobedience, selfishness, and lying. Forgive our wives and mothers for taking on the roles You have ordained for husbands and fathers. Forgive us as a society for focusing on the fathers who are not living up to their responsibilities while ignoring those who are taking care of their families. Father, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind our fathers of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. Holy Spirit, help our fathers not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.Exalted Lord, we praise Your Name. We are supposed to trust in You with all of our hearts and not depend on our own understanding. We are to seek Your will in all that we do and You will show us which path to take. You are the God who will bring rest to our souls. We trust in Your Word and believe that Your Word will be operative in the hearts and souls of those with mental illnesses. We confess that when they walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive them and stretch forth Your hand and save them. Father, we confess that they will lie down without fear and enjoy pleasant dreams. They will not be afraid of the threat of disaster or destruction; for You are their security. Loving Father, we ask You to replace their sadness with joy, defeat with victory, and fatigue with praise. Help those who feel depressed or sad to not focus on their circumstances but rather focus on Your blessings in their lives. Remind them to praise You at all times. Holy Spirit, bring all things to their remembrance that concern the Father’s plans for their lives. Give them power as they meditate on the Word. Help them to keep God’s commandments and embrace them in their hearts. Prevent the fiery darts of the enemy from consuming them. Help them to hear Your voice and obey Your will. Prayer Topic #8: A Prayer for People Looking for EmploymentScripture Reading: Psalm 47, Psalm 1Scriptural Prayer: Most Excellent Father, thank You for allowing Your children to dwell in the secret place under Your shadow. Thank You for being our refuge and fortress. You are a Mighty God! Thank You for meeting the needs of those who are currently unemployed. Thank You, Lord, for assuring us as Your children that our promotion does not come from any earthly source, but it is You alone who judges who will rise and who will fall. We rest and trust in You because this whole earth and those who dwell in it belong to You. With all that we are, we will praise You. We will never forget the good things that You do for us. Glory To Your Holy Name! Glorious Father, in Jesus’ Name, we command the doors of favor and opportunity for employment to open for our unemployed brothers and sisters! As the Body of Christ, we confess that as they seek Your Kingdom above all else and live righteously, You will give them everything they need. We decree that they will not be idle or lazy, wanting much, but doing little. No! They will be diligent and work hard and will prosper. We declare that our unemployed will not be worried about anything. Instead, they will pray about everything and trust You to meet their needs. They will remain thankful for all You have done in their lives. We decree that Your favor will surround them with a shield when they go for interviews. Holy Spirit, help our unemployed friends and family members to prepare themselves and enhance their skills so that they will be ready when opportunities present themselves. Help them to wait patiently on the Lord and trust Him to guide them to the job He has for them. Touch the hearts of those who are resistant to change and encourage them to look for new career opportunities. Remove fear and anxiety from their lives. Help them to resist pride and to be humble and honest with those who will interview them. Show them how to use sound judgment as they weigh their job offers. Continue to supernaturally meet their day-to-day needs as they continue to pursue employment opportunities. Merciful Father, please forgive those who have failed to honor You in the workplace during their past employment. Forgive those who believe the world’s report more than Your report about their future. Forgive those who have not honored You with tithes and offerings consistently. Father God, forgive me for any sins that I have committed. Holy Spirit, remind those who are seeking employment to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. Holy Spirit, help those who are seeking employment not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one. Omnipotent Lord, salvation and glory and power belong to You! Prayer Topic #9: A Prayer of Salvation for FamiliesScripture Reading: Psalm 105:1-8, Romans 10:1-13Scriptural Prayer: Glorious Father, thank You for Your unconditional love. Thank You for showing families just how great Your love is by sending Christ to die for them while they were still sinners. Thank You for adopting them as Your children. Lord God, thank You for the precious gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Your majestic Name fills the earth! Your glory is higher than the heavens! Families will praise Your Name forever and ever, for You have all wisdom and power. They will put their hope in You, Lord; You are their help and shield. Triumphant Father, we know according to Your Word that You want everyone to be saved and understand the truth. We confess that if families openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, they will be saved. When they do, as Your Word promises, they will not perish but have everlasting life. They will have the right to become Your children. They will see themselves as Your masterpiece, created anew in Christ Jesus so that they can do the good things You predestined for them. Holy Spirit, send disciples families throughout the world who need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Help those who have been saved to embrace fully the gift of salvation from the Father. Provide family members with continued opportunities to grow into the knowledge of God through spiritual wisdom and guidance, whether they are new or seasoned believers. Stir up their gifts and give them the desire, courage and discernment to proclaim Christ, follow His teachings and do good works. And when they sin, as humans sometimes do, such as being judgmental and envious of one another, help them to repent. Give each individual in the family the endurance to continue on the path You have established just for them. Precious Father, forgive families for all acts of sinfulness, including disobedience, rebellion, pride, arrogance, selfishness, hatred, lying, perversion and gossiping. Forgive those who have heard the Gospel but refuse to accept it and those who have accepted the Gospel and refuse to share it. Forgive family members who devalue their unsaved relatives. Lord, forgive me for any sins that Ihave committed. Holy Spirit, remind families of those they need to forgive and help them to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. Holy Spirit, help families not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one. No one is holy like the Lord! There is no one besides You. There is no Rock like You, our God. Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. You are awesome in Your sanctuary. Lord of Heaven’s Armies, You are our strength and our song; You have given us victory! You are our God and we will praise You. Lord, You are a warrior; Yahweh is Your Name. Your right hand is glorious in power and smashes the enemy. O Lord, who is like You among the gods? You are glorious in holiness, awesome in splendor and You perform great wonders. We declare that You will show our incarcerated youth and adults the right path and point out the road for them to follow. We decree that they will be obedient and allow Your truth to lead and teach them. We confess that it is in You and You alone that they will put their hope. Please strengthen their faith in the Father and draw them closer to Him. Please comfort, strengthen and encourage the family members, especially the child whose parent is incarcerated. Heal their hearts and mend any wound that the absence of this parent has created in their life. Please protect them from the evil words and comments that society may attempt to put upon them.
