HOW TO USE YOUR KINGDOM BUILDERS’ POWER GUIDE Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the topics that we have asked of Him. I John 5:14-15 The Power Guide is designed as a tool for study, reflection, and prayer. Each prayer is written based on the model of the Lord’s Prayer (see Matthew 6:9-13). In order to maximize the use of your guide, please follow the listed instructions. 1. Set aside a few minutes each day to pray individually, with your family or prayer partner(s). partner(s). Gradually build your prayer time with the Lord to at least thirty (30) to sixty (60) minutes each day. You can split up your prayer time, if necessary, and pray for a few minutes in the morning and evening. You choose the time of day that is good for you. Find a comfortable place to pray and turn off any distractions. If you have small children who need most of your attention, pray the daily prayer with them. Let God’s Word saturate their hearing. 2. Refer to the Prayer Topics Calendar on page 6 for the specific prayer for the day. Only pray for the prayer topic that is assigned to that day so that we are unified in our daily praying. Please do not get ahead of the prayer for the day. Before praying the “Scriptural Prayer,” first read the Scriptures listed for “Scripture Reading.” 3. Pray the assigned prayer out loud. There is power in your verbal expression. Parents, please encourage your children to pray their prayer topics in the Children’s Power Guide out loud. Youth (ages 13-17) may use the Adult Power Guide. 4. These prayers are intended to be a springboard to help you with your prayerful conversations. Trust the Holy Spirit to help you to expand upon the prayer that you are praying for the day. If you speak in tongues, please pray in tongues over each prayer topic. Relax, listen and enjoy the Lord. 5. Record any reflections, revelations, or inspiration given by the Holy Spirit in the Prayer Expectation section at the end of the Power Guide. 6. Believe that the Lord is hearing your prayer and know in your heart that your praying will produce God’s results for the prayer topic you are praying for. 7. After praying, make your daily power confession by using the Daily Power Confessions located on page 22 in the back of your Power Guide. When you speak God’s Word over your life, you activate the power of His Word to work in your life and produce God’s results for your life. Expect God’s Word to transform your life. We also recommend that you speak the Power Confessions over your family. 8. Enjoy your time spent with the Lord and thank you for helping to implement God’s plans for our Church Family. God Bless You! WV Leadership Team 4

Prayer Topic #1: A Prayer for Hope and Healing in America Scripture Reading: Psalm 36:5-10, Psalm 27 Scriptural Prayer: Our Father, we thank You for Your loving care for the citizens of our nation during this time of grief and despair. Thank You, Father, for blessing those who trust in You, who have made You their hope and confidence. Thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ to redeem us from a life of despair and hopelessness. Gracious Father, we praise You with all of our hearts. You merely spoke and the heavens were created. You breathed the word and all of the stars were born. Your plans stand firm forever and Your intentions can never be shaken. You are an awesome God! Loving Father, our country continues to experience tragic shootings. Lives have been destroyed. Today, we cry out for the families of the people who have died and those who have been injured. We declare that You, alone, are their refuge and place of safety. You are their God and they can trust in You. Lord, Your Name is a strong fortress and those who run to You will find spiritual, emotional, and psychological healing. We confess that even though the families of the victims and those wounded may feel pressure on every side by this tragedy, they will not be crushed and broken. They may feel perplexed, but they will not give up and quit. They may feel like life is about to run them over, but they will not be abandoned by You. We recognize that their lives have been knocked down by this crime, but we decree that they will get up and keep going. In Jesus’ Name, we cancel the assignments of the spirits of terrorism, racism, anger, violence, murder, and rage. As Kingdom citizens, we render these spirits powerless. We declare that no weapon formed against the citizens of our nation will succeed, and we silence every voice that rises against us all. Holy Spirit, help all our families and communities to heal. Help them to get through the upcoming days, weeks, months, and years. Let Your love and presence saturate their hearts, souls, and spirits. Please send people who will love, support, and comfort them. God, our Healer, please provide healing and speedy recovery to all who are in recovery at home or in a hospital. Heal the wounds that have been inflicted in their hearts and souls. Holy Spirit, comfort all citizens of America. Guide parents of every ethnicity on how to talk with their children in a way that will not instill hatred, fear, anger, and unforgiveness. Let Your Truth prevail over prejudice, bias, tradition, and misunderstanding. Forgiving Father, forgive our nation for all acts of racism, injustice, and insensitivity. Forgive those who know the truth but remain silent. Father, please have mercy on our country. Lord, forgive me for any sins I may have committed. Holy Spirit, remind us of all those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one. Magnificent Lord, when You spoke, the world began! It appeared at Your command. You look down from heaven and see the whole human race. From Your throne, You observe all who live on the earth. O Lord, our Lord, Your majestic Name fills the earth! In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Thank You for opening doors of abundance so that they can prosper and have wealth to share. Thank You for being faithful to them even during times when their faith is weak. You are the Most High God, the only true and living God. You are excellent in all of Your ways. The heavens are Your throne, and the earth is Your footstool. Lord, You are good, and Your faithful love endures forever. You are the great I Am, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. You are our Creator and Savior. Loving Father, it is Your will that government professionals live rich and satisfying lives. We confess that they will live by believing, not by seeing and as they commit everything, they do to You and trust You, You will help them. No good thing will be withheld from government professionals who do what is right. For You bless the Godly and surround them with Your shield of love. By faith, we declare government professionals will never let loyalty and kindness leave them; they will tie them around their necks and write them deep within their hearts. Then, they will find favor with You and people, and they will earn a good reputation. They will honor You with their wealth and with the best part of everything they produce. Holy Spirit, please show government professionals Your ways, teach them Your paths and lead them in Your truth. Bless them to craft, support and implement legislation and projects, produce effective outcomes and improve the lives of citizens, in ways that honor You. Give them peace to sustain and strength to overcome the inevitable internal and external challenges that the governmental processes and public service bring. Keep them from working halfheartedly, taking advantage of their positions and worshipping worldly power instead of You. Help them to make good decisions that benefit their constituents and stakeholders. Remind them that their ability to succeed comes from You and that favor is a gift, not an entitlement. Reveal to them ways to work smartly and bring balance to their professional and personal lives. Forgiving Father, forgive government professionals for all acts of sinfulness, including greed, envy, outbursts of anger, pride, arrogance, bitterness, lying, stealing, criticism, gossiping and stubbornness. Forgive them for putting their careers first and You second. Forgive them for taking credit for the skills and opportunities You give them and for not sharing their wealth and expertise with others. We will tell of all Your marvelous works. We will be glad and rejoice in You; we will sing praises to Your Name. We cry out with a loud voice, “Thanks be to our God.” As the heavens are high above the earth, so great is Your mercy toward those who fear You; as far as the east is from the west, You have removed our transgressions from us. Thank You for being our Father and calling us Your children. Thank You for loving us unconditionally. Thank You for creating us for Your good pleasure. Father, You have asked us to continue to love one another, for love comes from You. Anyone who loves is Your child and knows You. Those who do not love do not know You, for You are love. You have shown how much You loved us by sending Your one and only Son, Jesus, into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love – not that we loved You, but You loved us and sent Your Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Thank You, Jesus, for giving Your life for ours. We were not worthy, yet, You made us worthy to love and know You. Thank You! Today, we confess that we will love You with all of our hearts, souls, strength and minds, and we will love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Holy Spirit, because God loves us so much, help us to love our neighbor. We have never seen God, but if we love each other, we know that God will live in us and His love will be brought to full expression in us. Holy Spirit, we do not want to grieve You by the way we live. You are the One who has identified us as Your own, guaranteeing that we will be saved on the day of redemption. In this season of reflection and repentance, help us to let go of any bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, help us to be kind to all people, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven us. Break any bondage(s) that is keeping us from loving and caring for people. Help us as a Church Family to draw closer to God, our Father, and Jesus, our Lord, through loving each other. Holy Spirit, heal broken relationships. Lord, forgive us for not loving and caring for all people. Forgive us for not loving You with our whole hearts. Forgive us for holding grudges and remembering old debts. Forgive us for judging others before getting to know them. Forgive us for being proud, impatient, stubborn, rebellious, or jealous. Please forgive us for not forgiving other people. Remind us to forgive others; and we shall be quick to forgive. Father, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Lord, You are high above all nations, and Your glory is above the heavens. Who is like You, the Lord our God, who dwells on high, who humbles Yourself to behold the things that are in the heavens and in the earth? You have declared, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth." We confess that they will respect and obey the instructions of their parents, teachers and school administrators. We declare that the wise instruction of the teachers will be like a life-giving fountain to each student. In Jesus’ Name, each parent will direct their children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it. Help them to remain committed to their educational “calling.” Grant each teacher wisdom, creativity, and grace to teach each child according to his or her needs, level of intelligence, and learning capabilities. Bless the homes of each student to be a place of love, peace and support. We ask You to increase the capacity of the students to learn, comprehend and excel in all areas of their education and all required testing. During their extracurricular activities, please protect them from injury. Help each student to develop Godly friendships this school year. Holy Spirit, create within each student, teacher, and administrator an excitement, passion, and academic desire as they enter the new school year. Merciful Father, forgive the sins of all our educators and students. We boldly declare that in this land we will possess a double portion of prosperity and everlasting joy will be ours. Help us all to enjoy life and laugh more. Loving Father, forgive us for any acts of sinfulness, including strife, discord, jealousy, rivalries, gossip and any abuse of power. Forgive us for allowing the cares of life to cause us to momentarily lose our joy. Lord, forgive me for any sins I have committed. Prayer Topic #15: A Declaration for the Weather in Greater Houston Area and Gulf Coast Region Scripture Reading: Psalm 115, James 5:17-18 Scriptural Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for the favor and mercy You have shown the Greater Houston Area over the years. Thank You for blessing our city with abundance, peace, and security. We thank You for a quiet and peaceful hurricane season last year. You are a great and merciful Father. We know Your greatness Lord, that You are greater than any other god. You do whatever pleases You throughout all heaven and earth, on the seas and in the depths. You cause the sun and clouds to rise over the whole earth. Lord, Your Name endures forever, Your fame is known to every generation. Worthy Father, during this summer season, we will continue to operate in the authority and power given to us by the Lord Jesus Christ and we command a cooler air mass to be pushed in from the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. We know that faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it’s the assurance about things we cannot see. Therefore, by faith, we confess that the sea surface temperature in the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico will begin to decrease to bring cooler temperatures but will not rise above 80 degrees which can produce strong storms. We decree that the wind shear in the Atlantic will cut any storms off in the development stage and hinder vertical rings of clouds from forming. We confess that throughout August the barometric pressure and air density will not drop to a level that would allow violent storms but the cooler air mass will reduce temperatures. We declare calm and cooler weather for the Greater Houston Area and the Gulf Coast region this summer. We will receive the right amount of rain to keep the ground moist and the vegetation well-watered, but not too much to cause flooding. By faith, we declare that our weather will be a perfect balance of sunshine, rain and moderate temperatures. Holy Spirit, help each believer to walk in boldness and authority and expect the weather to be calm as we decree Your Word over the weather situation. Lord Jesus, You said we could ask anything in Your Name, so we ask You to touch the hearts of believers throughout this region to decree Your Word concerning the weather. Holy Spirit, please help the residents in the Greater Houston Area and surrounding areas who are having health challenges due to the heat to receive prompt solutions. Remind us all to be good stewards over our water resources. Faithful Father, forgive the residents of our city for all acts of sinfulness that would cause the weather to respond in a harmful way. Forgive us for not believing that all things are possible through Jesus Christ who strengthens us. Forgive us for walking in doubt, unbelief, arrogance, and pride. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.) Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one. Majestic Lord, You are the blessed and only Sovereign One. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords, who rides across the ancient heavens. O God, You are awesome in Your sanctuary. You are the God of Israel who gives strength and power to Your people. Blessed are You, forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. Thank You for meeting us during these exciting celebrations. Great Father, we know that there is a season for everything. There is a time for every purpose under heaven. As a Church Family, we make preparations to celebrate the Fall Feasts and spend time with You. By faith, as we celebrate these feasts, we expect to experience Your love, power, and presence. We declare that we will begin to prepare ourselves to meet with You at Your appointed time with pure hands and hearts. Forgiving Father, please have mercy on us as we prepare for this season.
