ly fitted and attaches to the hose as support. Donati demonstrates
this trending style in the film. However, he created the men’s hose as
self-supporting. This does not take away from the realistic costumes
as Donati still incorporates the ties connecting these two garments.

The opening appearance of Lady Capulet and Juliet, they are seen
wearing finely embroidered bodices with overdresses. These char-
acters in the film, Romeo and Juliet, are ranked high in social sta-
tus. This is seen in our current society; the social elite take advan-
