Important life
events that have
changed me into

who I am

My first friend

first friend was macalya. I was about 1 when i met her. I met her
because she lives right in front of me so on the same street. I
remember my mom started talking to her grandma and 1 day we were
introduced we then became friends and would have play dates when
we were younger. My mom told me that when we met i hit her for
some reason but she didn’t care and my mom also said that we just
laughed. The good thing is that we are still friends up to this day; so our
friendship has lasted about 11or 12 years.

My 1st Day of Ballet

An important moment in my life was when i started ballet for
the first time. The dance studio is in San Pedro and the name
of the ballet instructor was Ms.Jamie which was a very nice
teacher. There was a few girls but I only made friends with 2
of the girls which were Paige and Cayla. That day was very
important to me because if I hadn’t decided to join ballet i
wouldn’t be as flexible as i am today; nor would i have met
Paige or Cayla, and i wouldn’t have found my love for dancing
or ballet. That day is also easy for me to remember because it
holds a lot of meaning and feelings for me.

First time Ice Skating

Another important moment was when i went ice skating for the 1st
time. I went with my cousin Jaime, his girlfriend Xochilt and Xochilt’s
brother Jose. We went ice skating to a rink in Paramount called
Paramount Iceland.. At 1st i was very nervous and scared cause it
looked really hard, and when I tried it i ended up falling. So most of the
first hour i was holding onto the railing till I got a little better and used
to it. After that I kind of started letting go but I ended up falling a lot!
Jaime and Jose ended up falling too, Xochilt was the only one that
didn’t fall. At the end of ice skating I wasn’t so good but at least i was
trying. In total i ended up falling about 15 times and I have a lot of
bruises all over my legs and arms, but it was really fun and worth it.
This was on friday that’s why i can remember most of it pretty well but
besides that it has shaped me into who i am because i learned not to
give up even if something is hard or u ended up failing just keeping
trying.

When I Graduated 5th Grade

The 3rd important thing was when I graduated 5th grade i guess. I
remember I got to school wearing a dress with white vans and my hair
was in 2 braids. They put us inside so we would get dirty so do to that
we had to stay inside the whole day except when we culminated. I
remember they sat us down in alphabetical order and called us up one
by one with our parents sitting right in front of us. When were finished
we went back inside the classroom and the all the girls were crying and
started saying their goodbyes. We then went out and met up with our
parents and got our gifts and began taking pictures with friends and
family I also took a picture with my teacher and my principal. I then
went home realizing that was it for elementary.

Who I Am

My name is Elizabeth Cruz I was born in Torrance Memorial but have
lived in Carson my whole life. I was born on October 14,2004. What
you might not know about me is that I did gymnastics at the age of 3-5.
