Dengan format baharu Peperiksaan UPSR yang pertama kali dilaksanakan pada tahun
Kathleen Sikul, Jhessica Mattingal, Maitly Bukah, Clara Jimber, Gel- 2016 ini, calon-calon UPSR menjawab 6 kertas subjek berbanding hanya 5 kertas pada
tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Selain itu, sistem pengredan juga adalah sistem pengredan
viana Simbaku, Sweney Godwan, Benlee Sanior, Celestie Musih, Rikha yang baharu. Cabaran lain yang dihadapi oleh para calon adalah penerapan KBAT
Idora Jafry, Beatrice Albin (Kemahiran Berfikir Aras Tinggi) dalam soalan-soalan peperiksaan.

Lembaga Pengelola Sekolah serta warga SR SDA Goshen mengucapkan syabas dan
tahniah kepada calon-calon cemerlang dan kepada semua yang mendapat sekurang-
kurangnya Mencapai. Kepada calon yang tidak berjaya pada tahun ini bukan bermak-
na suatu pengakhiran. Jadikan ia suatu ikhtibar dan dorongan untuk mencapai ke-
jayaan pada masa hadapan. Gagal sekali bukan bermakna gagal selamanya.

29 Julai 2016 - Sukan Tahunan Tadika Advent Goshen telah berlangsung dengan
jayanya atas usaha sama guru-guru tadika dan guru-guru SR SDA Goshen, tidak lupa JERRY WEN
juga para sukarelawan yang gigih membantu sepanjang hari sukan tersebut. Majlis (PENAUNG)
dirasmikan oleh Cikgu Jamrus Francis yang mewakili Pengetua SMA Goshen, Puan
Sharon Laung. Beberapa acara telah dipertandingkan, antaranya 100M (L & P), ARTINIH GABAN & GURU-GURU

MSSSDA SABAH (Majlis Sukan Sekolah Seventh Day Adventist Sabah) Pertandingan Melukis / Mewarna

28 Ogos 2016 - Pelajar-pelajar Tadika Advent Goshen juga tidak ketinggalan untuk
menyertai pertandingan melukis dan mewarna sempena Hari Keluarga yang ber-
temakan “HAPPY FAMILIES FOR ETERNITY”.

Diharapkan penglibatan murid tadika pada tahun hadapan akan lebih ramai lagi, di
mana program ini juga dapat mengasah bakat melukis dan mewarna yang mereka
ada.

5 - 6 Oct. 2016 - Sukan tahunan MSSSDA Sabah telah dijalankan di Kompleks
Sukan Betong, Kota Belud. Penganjur kejohanan pada tahun ini adalah gabungan 3
buah sekolah iaitu, SRA Gaur, SRA Kelawat dan SRA Rangalau. Kejohanan ini
dirasmi oleh Yang Berhormat En. Ewon Benedict setiausaha politik kepada timbalan
ketua menteri.

In conjunction with the Week of Prayer, teachers were responsible to carry out the
program with help from the members of OYIM (One Year In Mission). Throughout
the program, students were exposed to all sorts of activities to nurture them to be
closer to God, fortify their faith, and to positively enhance their social skills.

Bengkel Kecemerlangan UPSR Graduation Day

10 - 12 Februari 2016 - Jawatan Kuasa Akademik telah megadakan satu program
motivasi untuk murid tahun 6 SR SDA Goshen. Seramai 66 orang murid tahun 6
telah menyertai program tersebut. Turut serta dalam program tersebut adalah murid
tahun 6 dari SRA Tagaroh dan SRA Bambangan. Slot-slot telah dikendalikan oleh
penceramah-penceramah jemputan iaitu:

2. Mewujudkan pelajar yang mempunyai azam dan iltizam untuk lulus dengan

cemerlang dalam UPSR serta mempunyai keterampilan dan kewibawaan sebagai
pemimpin dalam kumpulan mereka.

9-10 Jun 2016 - Program Bina Semangat

Semasa program ini dijalankan murid tahun 6 bermalam selama 1 malam di premis
sekolah. Tujuan program ini diadakan untuk memberi semangat, kekuatan dan
kesedaran kepada emosi pelajar untuk menghadapi peperiksaan UPSR. Semoga
dengan perlaksanaan program ini, sekolah akan dapat merealisasikan segala matlamat
dan impian iaitu ingin menjadi sebuah sekolah cemerlang dan gemilang.

Tempat: SR SDA Goshen As customary, the recent ABRSM practical exam was held at SR SDA

28 Ogos 2016 - SR SDA Goshen telah menganjurkan Pertandingan Mewarna / SR SDA Goshen is so blessed
Melukis bertemakan HAPPY FAMILIES FOR ETERNITY yang bertempat di to have Ji Hyeon Sarah Im, a
dewan terbuka SR SDA Goshen, Kota Marudu. Penyertaan hanya terbuka kepada Korean Volunteer teacher this
murid-murid sekolah ini sahaja. Peserta kategori terbuka pula terdiri kepada ibubap- year. She is a 21-year-old

Year 6 Class Outing Temperance Day

23 Oct. 2016 (Sunday) - There were three destinations chosen for year 6 class outing Date: 11 Nov. 2016
this year. Theme: BE HAPPY, STAY HEALTHY

1st: Destination „Tamu‟ Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu Temperance Day this year focuses on the importance of controlling our desire be-
tween fancy and healthy lifestyles.

The activities for the event include colouring and drawing, allowing pupils to express
their point of view on how to practice healthy and happy lifestyles even though we
are living in this busy and advanced modern world where fast food and canned food
is the quickest choice for daily consumption.

Pupils are to learn the need to control physical, emotional and mental desire as
Roman 6:12 - 23 advised God’s children to take good care of their body, mind and
soul.

―A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.‖ Proverbs

English Month Contest Year 6 Class Outing 2nd Destination: TNGC Club
House, Penampang
10 Aug. 2016 - A month-long English speaking campaign was held in July this year.
To make the campaign more lively, several contests were performed at the end of the
month. This year’s English month contest was held at the SR SDA Goshen Open
Hall. The contest included activities such as singing solo, poem/rhyme, story telling,
public speaking and class presentation.

Perkhidmatan Kesihatan Sekolah SABAH NORTHERN REGION EDUCATION CARNIVAL

25—26 Mei 2016 - Klinik Kesihatan Ibu dan Anak Kota Marudu telah mengadakan
lawatan ke SR SDA Goshen. Tujuan lawatan Program Bersepadu Sekolah Sihat ter-
sebut adalah untuk memastikan tahap kesihatan murid-murid berada dalam keadaan
yang optima melalui promosi kesihatan, pencegahan penyakit, rawatan dan rujukan
kepada Pegawai Perubatan jika terdapat murid yang mempunyai keabnormalan dari
segi kesihatan. Semasa lawatan tersebut pihak klinik telah membuat pemeriksaan
kesihatan seperti kebersihan diri, pemeriksaan tinggi dan berat serta mata dalam ka-
langan murid tahun 1 dan tahun 6. Pemberian imunisasi telah dijalankan kepada
murid tahun 1 sebagai dos tambahan untuk kesinambuangan imunisasi alam kanak-
kanak.
