CHAPEL

Every Wednesday we have chapel. These are our activities in Tadika Advent Goshen. We
teach the student about God and His creation and we teach the student to pray. The teacher is
the mirror for the student.

Pada awal tahun persekolahan, Tadika
Advent Goshen dikunjungi oleh Kesihatan
Pergigian untuk mengajar murid 4 Tahun
iaitu Kelas Orange, memberus gigi dengan
betul. Ramai murid 4 Tahun telah meli-
batkan diri untuk memberus gigi bersama-
sama ibubapa mereka.

SUKANEKA

19 Julai 2013 - Sekolah Tadika Advent Goshen telah mengadakan sukaneka tahunan yang berlansung
dalam suasana yang sangat sederhana tetapi mendapat sokongan penuh daripada guru-guru Tadika dan SRA
Goshen,ibu bapa dan pelajar itu sendiri.Acara dirasmikan oleh Cikgu Jerry Wen, selaku Guru Besar Seko-
lah Rendah Advent Goshen dan doa pembuka dilayangkan oleh Cikgu L.Chamrala Jerry Peter. Sebanyak
8 acara dipertandingkan termasuk acara terbuka untuk murid sekolah rendah dan ibu bapa Tadika. Seramai
135 orang murid Tadika telah mengambil bahagian dalam setiap acara dan hadiah juga diberikan kepada
para peserta.Acara tarik tali merupakan acara kemuncak sukaneka Tadika.Doa penutup dilayangkan oleh
Cikgu Malanjin Arak.
Cikgu Airie Ginduk selaku guru sukan Tadika pada tahun 2013 mengucapkan berbanyak-banyak terima ka-
sih kepada semua yang telah membantu dan menjayakan sehingga acara ini sehingga ianya dapat dijalankan
dengan lancar.

Sukan MSS
Zon 1

Pada awal tahun ini, Sekolah Rendah SDA Goshen telah menjadi tuan rumah bagi
penganjuran sukan MSS Zon 1. Ini adalah cabaran yang sangat besar dan kon-
tinjen serta pasukan sekolah telah berjaya mengharumkan nama sekolah dengan
pencapaian yang cemerlang sehingga mendapat johan secara keseluruhan

27th, Feb 2013 - As scheduled, Mr Stephen came to meet all the teachers of
SR SDA Goshen and Tadika Advent Goshen to share his thought and ideas for
the school, motivating everyone to continue their good work and reminding ev-
eryone that they need to always work as a team and help one another is part of
the responsibility to ensure the success of the school.

Sekolah dilanda
Banjir Lumpur

22 Feb 2013

22hb Feb 2013 merupakan hari
yang terburuk dalam sejarah
Sekolah Rendah SDA Goshen
dan Tadika Advent Goshen ker-
ana dilanda banjir lumpur akibat
limpahan dari sungai.

Akibat daripada banjir tersebut,
sekolah terpaksa ditutup se-
lama seminggu bermula 25hb
Feb - 1hb Mac. Ramai ibu bapa
juga telah turun ke sekolah pada
24hb Feb untuk bersama-sama
bergotong-royong membersihkan
sekolah.

Banyak harta benda sekolah
telah musnah akibat banjir seperti
pagar yang baru dipasang, buku-
buku, bangku dan meja.

ABRSM Exam

(4th-5th July 2013)

More than 650,000 candidates take the ABRSM
examinations each year in over 93 countries. Our
school is one of the examination centre. This is the
third year ABRSM practical exam is held in our
school.

Week of Prayer

(26th-30th August 2013)

We took the opportunity to invite Pr Suciyanto to
speak throughout the Week of Prayer program held
during the school hour. Students sang for worship
and after that, Pr Suciyanto provided a short talk to
the students. This program started at 7:30 am and
finished at 9:00 am.

Aktiviti Ko-kurikulum

Pada tahun ini, sekolah telah memulakan aktiviti ko-kurikulum secara mingguan, iaitu pada

Year Six Outing (29th Sept, 2013)

Right after the UPSR Exams, all year 6 students just want to relax and have fun. So we go for an out-
ing to the Gaya Street Sunday market, Tuan Fuad Water World, and lastly, window shopping at 1Bor-
neo Hypermall.

Seminar: Education Excellency

In this seminar, one of the
thing that was repeatedly
emphasized was the impor-
tance of thinking and thinking
outside the box. The speaker
gave some problems to be
solved and all of the questions
required the teachers to think.
He also provided the teachers
some materials in enhancing
thinking skills in the form of a
small booklet and encouraged
the teachers to use different
types of questions that would
help students open their minds
and think creatively. It had
been a fun class and hope-
fully such class would be held
again.

Golden Bandah has also
conducted a seminar on
education excellency.

Visit from JPA: Integrity Research

A team of researchers came
to conduct a simple ques-
tionaire and a brief inter-
view with the students and
teachers. The main purpose
was to observe the unity in
our multiracial students.

Perlawanan Bola Sepak

SRA Damai telah menganjurkan Perlawanan Bola Sepak di antara sekolah-sekolah Advent.
Perlawanan bola sepak ini terbahagi kepada dua kategori iaitu perempuan dan lelaki.

UNAI Chorale Concert

A group of singers from UNAI University has once again come to Goshen and this time,
they came to help collect some donation for our school in Goshen. They also performed in
other places to help other schools as well. Thank you UNAI Chorale.

Happy Teachers’ Day

The only day of the year teachers are celebrated. The truth
is, a teacher will always be a teacher no matter what day
it is. Even when a teacher retires from teaching, people,
especially their former students will still call them teacher
because they know that their teacher has always been part
of their lives. God bless all teachers.
