It gives me great pleasure to know that MECHAGLANCE 3rd
edition is ready for publication. This magazine gives an insight into
the range and scope of the imagination and creativity of our students
and faculty members. I applaud the editorial team for the hard work
and dedication they have invested in realizing this goal, and wish my
dear students’ success in all future endeavours.

I take this opportunity to congratulate the editorial board for
bringing out this magazine as per schedule, which in itself is an achievement considering the

It was quite inspiring to watch and witness the potential of our students unfolding
at various stages and situations each day. Trying and testing times during the hectic
semester system have elicited our students to put forth their best. The management and
the staff have been supportive of the various activities that were undertaken by the
students in view of helping them reach the pinnacle of perfection and professionalism in
whatever task they took on, thus strengthen our journey of achieving excellence.

The Department magazine exemplifies the voyage transverse and exhibits the
literary skills of our students.

2018. The contribution and dedication of faculty members, students are continuously
helping the Newsletter in stepwise manner for achieving new mile stone. The magazine
provides a perfect platform to highlight the literary and artistic segments of the
Mechanical Department. The purpose of this college Newsletter is to unlock the hidden

As Model Based learning is the main objective of Mechanical

Department, we introduced some models to enable the students to understand
some mechanisms practically.

Industrial Visit to Wagon Workshop, Guntupalli was organized for
3rd year students on 14th July 2018 associated with D.Prasad, C.

Industrial Visit to APHMEL Kondapally was organized
for 2nd year students on 7th September 2018
associated with M. Madhusudhana Rao, Ch. Jeevan
Paul

An Industrial visit, to model Driving Train institute & research centre for 4th b tech students associated by A. K.
Chaitanya & Ch. Saraswathi.
An Industrial visit, to JOCIL for 4th b tech students associated by D. Kishore & E.Rama Krishna
Entrepreneurship awareness camp is organised by the department, resource person Mr. J.V.S. Reddy,
Debasis Panda, Krish Nanivedda.nearly 130 students took part in the camp.

AUTOMOBILE WORKSHOP

A two day workshop onAutomobile& IC Engines is conducted for 3rd year students on 19th and 20th September
in collaboration with A.B.M. Group.The main objective of this workshop is to create awareness about the
parts of automobile and also to have a hands on experience about the assembly and disassembly of car &
Bike Engine.

THEORY OF MACHINES LAB INAUGURATION

Theory of machines lab was inaugurated on
Secretary of PSCMRCET Mr. R.Subba Rao
was the Chief Guest and delivered an
orientation address on Role of Engineersin
Society Development for the student members.
Dr. K. Nageswara Rao, Principal delivered the
felicitation address.On this Occasion HOD of
Mechanical Department Dr. P.S.Srinivas
addressed the gathering and thanked the
management for their extended support for the
establishment of the lab.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21st
June organised by the Department of
Mechanical Engineering. The Yogananda Guru
Swami Mr. N. Samba Siva Rao taught yogasanas
and addressed the students that Yoga is a
spiritual, Physical& mental Practice gifted by
our India’s Ancient Tradition. Nearly 110
students participated in the celebrations

ENGINEERS DAY CELEBRATIONS

Mechanical department celebrates Engineers Day on 15 September as a tribute to the greatest
Indian Engineer BharatRatna Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. On this day we conduct various cultural
and technical events under MEDHA association like technical quiz, general quiz, just a minute, Group
Discussion, Photography, Debate and all the faculty encourage and enlightened the students with their
words about role of students in the developing society.

SPORTS

Ms. S. Sravani secured 2nd place in District level judo tournament seniors

2018 under category 57 kgs organised by Krishna District Judo Association.
Ms. S. Sravani secured 2nd place IN College level through ball competition.
Mechanical students participated in 11th sports day celebrations in kabaddi

Tournament and stood as runners.

Let’s all as a Mechanical Family work with great passion towards the
magnificence and look forward for more triumph’s in the near future

Our III DME STUDENT ANNAM SURYA PRANEETHA got Second Prize in
Engineering level Project expo at Sri Vasavi Engineering College.

Our IIDCE STUDENT D.PRANAY Participated at B.N.I PROJECT EXPO and
Won Ist Prize in group dance.

Our II DCE Student E.SUBHASH got Ist Prize in Singing Competition at
Vivekananda Fest 2019.

Our II DCE Student E.Subash had given a Special performance in the ROTA
Fair 2019 Conducted by Rotary Club Vijayawada.

Our IIIDME STUDENT ANNAM SURYA PRANEETHA got Bronze medal at A.P
State Sports Inter District JUDO Championship.
